Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Montagu

This is already our fourth time staying in Rigby's beautiful house. It is wonderfully located on the golf course, offering a peaceful atmosphere. It's a great starting point for many activities. Rigby and Jean-André are always easily reachable. We are looking forward to our next visit!

We had a wonderful stay at De Vrede - as a plantswoman myself, the garden must've been my favourite part of the whole property. Expansive, wild and prescribed a slower temporal pace I found incredibly fruitful. The cottage itself was delightful too, where we spent most of the chilly evenings by the fireplace. Highly recommend and would most definitely stay here again!

Really enjoyed our stay with friends and family! Nice and spacious with everything you may need. All attractions are a close walk away, which is a huge added bonus.

Such a lovely place. Great location, right next door to a restaurant but tucked far back enough to be peaceful. exceptionally beautiful garden too. And McGregor is a really charming town

We enjoyed our stay a lot! Perfect place to have a relaxing weekend and we felt right at home on the farm. The complimentary bread, rusks and milk was a nice touch!

The house is very comfortable and perfect for a relaxing family getaway. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The garden is secure with lovely lawns for the kids to play. Carin is very friendly and showed us around the farm. The setting is wonderfully peaceful and private. The kids loved all the animals!

Our stay was very short. we arrived in the dark and had to leave early also in the dark. Had a very peaceful sleep, place was warm and cozy, Egbert had the heat going when we arrived. Beautiful place.

Our weekend at The Black House in Robertson was truly exceptional. Tucked away in a peaceful spot yet close to top wine farms, it was the perfect base for exploring the region. The warm welcome from our host, complete with a delicious homemade quiche and lemon meringue pie set the tone for a relaxing, indulgent stay. The house itself is beautifully designed, with stylish interiors and serene outdoor spaces that strike a perfect balance between luxury and comfort. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making us feel right at home. We left refreshed, pampered, and already planning our return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and peaceful wine country escape.

Had a wonderful time at the Noy Noy TiPi! A real off the grid getaway but with everything a person could need. Everything was clean and as we imagined, and there is a real emphasis on making the stay peaceful for everyone. The outside bath and shower was fantastic and sitting by the fire at night and looking at the stars are all experiences we will remember for a very long time. We felt right at home and Jackie made the whole process smooth and perfect. She was very helpful and it all made the stay a perfect one. Would also like to stay again in the summer for another wonderful but different experience.

Wow! I cannot say what an amazing stay Braam has crafted in this beautiful old house. Every little thing has been thought of. Braam has gone above and beyond to create a lovely spot in Swellendam. The garden is completely closed off for the dogs. He has birds that come throughout the day. The most amazing linen. Extra things for the cold. The house was clean and very well equipped. We will definitely be back. 3 lovely tools in the main house with 1 bathroom, with an extra back room with a bathroom. WiFi and backup power - essential in any stay in South Africa

A wonderful relaxing weekend at Jurie and Veronica’s place. Wonderful accomodation and easy check in with excellent communication along the way. Lots of restaurant suggestions! What a lovely space, beautifully furnished with thoughtful details like flowers and blankets set out. Great to have two fireplaces! Absolutely stunning location.

Absolute gem! Was so nice to spend some time disconnected from the busy world. Check-in was a breeze, with clear directions on how to get to the cabin. The cabin was clean, kitchen had everything we needed and we pre-ordered a few bags of wood which were already there once we arrived. Dan was super responsive and helpful with all our queries - we’ll definitely be back soon.

The Pines is a wonderful venue for a breakaway with a group of friends or family. The old farm-style homestead is in impeccable condition, with the trappings you expect from a much more modern house. Everything was spotless, from the bedroom linens and towels, to the well equipped kitchen, and the outside area. The weather was fantastic, so most time was spent in and around the pool, on the tennis court, and in the cool quiet of the house. Do: 1. spend an early morning with fresh coffee on the stoep, waiting for the sun to start painting the glorious mountains right in front of you; 2. make communal meals and eat under the ancient trees in the afternoon and at the huge dining room table in the evenings, where our stories mingled with those that had come before us; 3. bring your - well behaved - furry friends, they will get as much from the large expanse of lawn and, since the property is fully fenced, the can explore as much as they want to; and 4. braai next to the pool. Enjoy!

Beautiful place to stay to break away from the city. Would highly recommend for a group of friends just looking to have a good time and forget about the city life. Hosts are amazing! Very responsive and provides clear instructions for check in and check out. We will definitely be back when they put in the hot tub :) (currently a little swimming pool with the cottage)

As per my first visit to Lucky Crane Villas on my birthday in November, this visit was again spectacular. The interior aesthetics of Monika's design, the total comfort, the thoughtfully created functionality in every space, the integration with surrounding nature and the views out the windows, the private garden, and so much more - all this adds up to a truly fabulous experience. Definitely have dinner at the "The Courtyard Bistro and Theater", and breafast at "51", both must-visit destinations in their own right. Eine besondere Unterkunft in Montagu mit netten Gastgeber Wir wurden persönlich und sehr nett von Rex empfangen, der uns alles gezeigt hatte. Zur Begrüßung gab es Wein und Blumen. Die Unterkunft war sehr schön eingerichtet (insbesondere der Schnitt der Wohnung) mit tollem Garten, Tauchbecken und Ausblick. Wir konnten auch mit dem bereitgestellten den Ofen anmachen und haben gegrillt. Kleiner Hinweis: mit dem Ofen können die Pommes etwas dauern. 😉

We really enjoyed our stay. The Farm is very beautiful and the place was very warm and cosy ...we will definitely stay there again

Charmaine and Paul were both super friendly and helpful. The house had everything we needed, including lovely views of the mountain! Very modern and clean, with those of great reading material about what to do in the surrounding areas. Highly recommended.

My family and I had a great time staying at this property. My 4 year old son loved being able to feed the alpacas, it was a real highlight. We found everything to be as described in the listing. Overall we were all very happy with our stay.

Micheal-Adam is a very attentive host with knowledge of his town. The unit was neat and in pristine condition with high quality linen. I will recommend a stay with Micheal-Adam anytime. We will definitely go back there.
