Super cozy cabin stay near Lake Placid. Really enjoyed the place and location. Hosts were very helpful and responsive.

Beyond the Schoolhouse being picturesque amongst the High Peaks, it was pristinely kept, and came loaded with an awesome ADK reading library that we loved! Karlan was a super accommodating and responsive host, and we are absolutely planning on making the Schoolhouse our regular remote HQ when hiking new mountains.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Wildflower Cottage during the Lake Placid Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k race weekend. We loved being able to retreat to the peaceful cottage after hiking or running around Mirror Lake. Ted has created a trail system around the property which was fun to check out and loosen up the legs between outings. The cottage was very clean and quiet. We loved having the windows open for a fresh ADK breeze during our stay - we were very fortunate to have cooler weather during our visit. Some days were quite cloudy with rain showers, but we managed to get a few glimpses of the mountains. Ted was friendly and greeted us shortly after our arrival. The cottage is as pictured, and only about 10 minutes from Mirror Lake, Mt Van Hoevenberg and Adirondack Loj.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. Ideally situated just minutes from everything, peaceful evenings, and amazing mornings having coffee on the front veranda. The place have everything you need including a well equipped kitchen, bathroom and comfortable bed and sofa. Would definitely book again.
