The bustling market town of Nailsworth, with its numerous independent shops & fantastic eateries, is a 10 min stroll/3 min drive away. Unusually it also benefits from private parking! There are walks aplenty from our doorstep & friendly traditional pubs serving food, real ales & ciders within 10 min by foot. By car "The Cotswold way" is 15 mins, Cirencester 20 mins, Bath, Bristol & Cheltenham 40 mins.

Great for some R&R as night time is virtually silent and as we do not face directly down the Stroud valley we are luck enough to enjoy very little light pollution . Beautiful 17th Century detached Cotswold stone cottage, renovated and furnished to a high standard, located off a quiet country lane with far reaching views, a parking space and patio area. The open plan ground floor looks across the hosts cottage garden, has many original features including a traditional stone fireplace with wood burner, exposed beams and feature walls. The oak staircase leads to the bedroom and bathroom and fabulous views can be enjoyed across the valley. A little gem!

Heron's Nest - Detached annexe in wooded valley

Heron's Nest is a detached, newly-refurbished two-storey annexe nestled within the charming hamlet of Harley Wood, in the Cotswolds AONB. The accommodation boasts wonderful views of Horsley valley and the beautiful gardens and lakes of Ruskin Mill. The gardens are free to visit, and the mill hosts a delightful cafe. Just a ten minute stroll away is Nailsworth town centre, home to many wonderful boutiques, inspiring galleries, and some of the finest restaurants the Cotswolds has to offer.

The hayloft is very old but we have converted it into a 2 bed suite (one double bed & one big round bed on the mezzanine) with a 'shed bathroom' and a large lounge. It is on top of part of our own house (above the kitchen) but has a separate private entrance and a door onto the garden. There is no kitchen facility - think hotel rooms rather than self catering! It is right in the heart of the village a couple of hundred metres from good restaurants, ancient pubs and independent shops.
