Waterside house is an ancient farmhouse which sits in a large garden surrounded by fields and woodland, it has belonged to the Finsthwaite estate since it was build in 1580 . Its historical character is shown in the large fireplace and the beams, which add to the charm. Waterside is known as the home of the “Finsthwaite Princess”. who was the alleged illegitimate daughter of Bonnie Prince Charlie. She lived in three rooms on the first floor which were panelled out of scotch pine for her.

Nannygoat Cottage is a converted stable on a small private country estate in the Lake District's Lyth Valley, private drive, ponds and fields, perfect for exploring the area, well located, rural and peaceful. The local pub is a short stroll away down a country lane. Relax in comfortable surroundings, the downstairs bedrooms and upstairs lounge with log burner takes full advantage of the scenery.
