Woubrugge Logies - Private Chalet in The Green Heart

This cosy, private chalet is perfectly located in The Green Heart of The Netherlands. By car only half an hour or less from Leiden, Amsterdam, Haarlem, The Hague, Delft, Gouda or the beaches. Woubrugge itself is a lovely small town along a characteristic canal that ends up in lake Braassemermeer. Sail, surf, swim, rent a motorboat, explore the beautiful surroundings by biking or hiking or relax in the garden. The chalet is a studio (40m2); comfortable for 2 persons. As the sofa bed can be transformed to a double bed the chalet is also suitable for young families or a group of friends. The chalet has one room (studio: 40m2) with a private bathroom. There is a double bed (size 210 x 160 cm) and a sofabed (size 200 x 140 cm). In the studio you will find a tv, a table with 4 chairs and a completely equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, toaster and a coffee-machine (coffee, tea and Dutch cookies (stroopwafels) are included in the price). A microwave for the guests is in the barn, next to the chalet. In this barn guests may park also their (rental) bikes or a pram. There is enough space for 4 persons, but do realize that you share the same room. The chalet is facing South, so you can enjoy the sun all day. And if you prefer to sit in the shade, you can sit under the large parasol. You will also find a cosy veranda to relax on and a lawn with fruit trees. Guests may use the chairs in front of the house on the riverside quay where you can sit, relax, have a drink and enjoy the spectacle of boats passing by. The chalet offers complete privacy. However, if you have any question or special wishes, we are most of the time in the neighbourhood or we can be reached by telephone. We love to help our guests and have a chat with them, if they like. Woubrugge is a small town half an hour or less from Leiden, Amsterdam, The Hague, and beaches. Follow the canal to The Braassemermeer, a lake which offers sailing, canoeing, and swimming. Bike, hike, and rent a motorboat to explore further afield. If you come by car: there are enough public parkingplaces near to the chalet. (for free). Public transport: Woubrugge can easily be reached by bus from Leiden Central Station. But also from Amsterdam / Schiphol Airport there is a good connection by train/speedbus. Woubrugge is part of several beautiful hiking and biking routes, so for hikers and bikers Woubrugge is a perfect place for a stay over night or for a longer period. - Smoking is not allowed in the chalet! There are games and on request we can prepare boxes with various toys for children aged 2-12. On the riverside quay you find a fine bakery. Apart from buying fresh bread and rolls there, you can have a coffee and pastries on the terrace overlooking the canal. If you don't feel like cooking yourself, you can have a delicious lunch or dinner at restaurant Disgenoten. Also this restaurant has a beautiful terrace on the waterside.

During winter the house is also warm and cosy with floor heating. 4 canoes are available for you. Boats can be rented in the area, rental bikes delivered to the house. Free parking. Wir waren mit zwei Erwachsenen und zwei Kindern (11 + 13 Jahr) für ein verlängertes Wochenende auf dem Hausboot. Es war wirklich ein großer Spaß! Besonders für die zwei Teenager. Das Hausboot ist neu, sauber und mit dem kleinen Beiboot (Tender) die Gegend zu erkunden war für alle ein tolles Erlebnis. Zu empfehlen ist allerdings ein Mückennetz für das Bett. Auch im Oktober ist es noch warm genug im Boot und der kleine Ofen (Pellet) reicht für diese Jahreszeit völlig aus. Der Preis ist in Ordnung, denn das Hausboot zu unterhalten, scheint mir doch recht aufwendig.

Zum zweiten Mal bin ich mit meine Freundin gekommen um die schöne Zeit in Urlaub zu verbringen. 10min mit dem Auto zum Strand oder um die Ecke am See, wir hatten eine gute Möglichkeit zu schwimmen und uns auszuruhen . Sauberes Haus mit Küche und allem was dazugehört hat uns auch begeistert, weil abends saßen wir ganz gemütlich draußen mit selbstgemachte Abendessen. Danke Michael und alles Gute für dich!

We had a fantastic stay on the houseboat. The setting is absolutely beautiful, so peaceful on the lake on the edge of a small village. The property is equipped with everything we needed and more, and felt like a real home away from home. Willem met us on arrival and departure and was so welcoming and helpful, showing us how everything worked and arranging bikes for us use during our stay. We made use of the kayak and also loved dining or relaxing out on the decking over the lake. We loved exploring the area by bike, so many easy and safe routes for family riding, surrounded by lakes, windmills and farmland. Leiden is within easy reach and is a beautiful city for a day trip.

Ich bin sehr glücklich, dass ich diese Unterkunft gefunden habe. Ron hat mich abgeholt und hat immer schnell auf meine Nachrichten reagiert. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und sauber und Ron und Trudy sind sehr lieb und freundlich. Vielen Dank an euch beide, Ron und Trudy, ihr habt meine Zeit in Amsterdam noch schöner gemacht. :)
