It can be closed off and you'll have all the privacy you'll need. But, I live downstairs and we share the frontdoor & hallway during your stay, so it is not a place for parties and loud groups.

Een gezellig huis aan het water, dicht bij Amsterdam. Met gratis parkeren voor de deur. Wandelbossen aan de overkant van de straat, Loosdrechtse plassen met bootverhuur en strandjes heel dichtbij. Binnen een half uurtje ben je in hartje Amsterdam of Utrecht. Uniek is de lichte woonkeuken met rondom grote ramen en openslaande deuren naar het terras. Vrij uitzicht op zwanen, eenden, meerkoetjes. Bohemian Farmhouse. Unique and full of character

Bohemian Farmhouse is not a standard holiday home. It feels like staying in a private museum, filled with art, objects and atmosphere. A place for people who value quiet, character and space (but still close to Amsterdam). The backhouse is what we offer for rent: this used to be the stables in the old days and is now a big, open space with an upstairs. The house is surrounded by a 800m2 garden, included the space under the haystack.

Our house is ideal to visit Amsterdam from for a long weekend or holiday. It's located in the old centre of Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, with shops and supermarket just down the road. Nice restaurants and terraces on the river are around the corner. Ouderkerk aan de Amstel has many nice cycling routes in the area. Amsterdam is reachable with public transport (30 minutes), bicycle (40 minutes) or by car (15 minutes).

The cottage is located on the river Amstel, only 15 minutes by car and 20 minutes by bike from the vibrant center of Amsterdam. The cottage overlooks meadows on all sides. It is next to the owners house, but offers a lot of privacy. The cottage has a nice terrace that overflows into the garden.
