Beautiful character filled home with personalised touches. Really comfortable bed and pillows. Best sleep we’d had in Sri Lanka. Stunning location, beach at your doorstep. Safe for swimming. Generous available breakfast with lots of options to choose from. Quiet area but good location to do whale watching or snorkelling trips. Best thing, friendly relaxed staff and the nicest charming host we have ever met.

We enjoyed our stay at the Beach house. It was only a minute walk to the beach and it's a nice, safe, secluded location. Saravana went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. He's great company and we truly enjoyed talking to him. He's a talentd chef. We all loved all the meals plus the BBQ he prepped for us. Definitely a highlight of our stay. We'll definitely visit again and highly recommend to everyone.

All expectations were exceeded during my stay at Moon Isle! Umesh and Mandy are great hosts—while all the staff are friendly as well. Trincomalee and Nilaveli beach truly feel like a piece of heaven. The food they prepare is delightful. My room was cleaned frequently and anything I needed was granted immediately. Any excursions, no matter the location, can be set up via Tuk tuk or taxi, and the prices are more than reasonable. Even to and from the airport! I look forward to returning here as regularly as life allows me!! Highly recommended to anyone wanting to visit Sri Lanka. Satisfaction is guaranteed!

Would give 6 stars if I could. Absolutely stunning property right on the beach. My room, bathroom & beach were all immaculate & exactly as described. Very thoughtful host with a welcome basket of goodies, adaptor plugs, bath mat by bed for sand, filtered water & ice etc. Great air conditioning & hot shower. Fantastic food & staff in the restaurant - they even made me gluten free Sri Lankan food which was such a treat to be able to eat the local food as a coeliac - thank you Umesh. Mandy is an absolutely gorgeous host - I really enjoyed my evenings on the beach chatting over a glass of wine. I couldn’t recommend this little oasis more.

Wir fahren für zwei Tage bei Amanda. Wir bekamen einen Discount fürs Schnorcheln und sogar ein gratis Getränk und ein Dessert, weil meine Reisebegleitung Geburtstag hatte, das war wirklich sehr nett. Toll fanden wir auch, dass es gratis Trinkwasser gab und der Service sehr bemüht war. Außerdem war immer jemand vom Service ansprechbar und alle wirklich sehr hilfsbereit. Wir konnten direkt am Meer essen und trinken, super! Alles in allem eine gute Erfahrung und wir würden wiederkommen.

Gostámos muito do espaço e recomendamos para quem procura um espaço tranquilo, limpo, perto do mar, e com várias opções de restaurantes à volta. A praia é boa, mas é pública e numa zona de pesca, pelo que nem sempre está muito limpa. Mas o mar é sempre calmo e a água quentinha. O hotel em si superou as minhas expectativas, os quartos são espaços, limpos, arrumados e a cama é extremamente confortável. A piscina não é grande mas é boa e limpa, e a água também é quentinha. O pequeno-almoço, na nossa opinião, podia ser melhor e mais diversificado. Mas podem sempre dizer ao staff o que pretendem comer ao pequeno-almoço e eles fazem-no sem qualquer custo. Nós não gostámos do que tinham inicialmente disponivel e pedimos na receção panquecas e ovos e eles fizeram-no sem nos cobrar nem mais um euro. Todo o staff é muito simpático e atencioso. Só temos coisas boas a dizer e esperamos voltar um dia. obrigada

We had a wonderful stay at Ghazzali’s apartment. It was perfectly clean and tidy and we felt right at home. The amenities within the apartment were very helpful as well as the pool area and very easy access to the beach. Ghazzali was very responsive with messages and we greatly appreciated him hosting us on very short notice. We were extremely impressed with our stay. 10/10. Would recommend to all, especially families.

Wir hatten hier einen ganz tollen Aufenthalt! Alle waren immer super nett und hilfsbereit. Restaurants und sonstiges ist zwar eine Zehnminütige Fahrt mit dem TukTuk entfernt, dafür hat man aber einen wunderschönen Strand im Prinzip für sich alleine. Ich kann diese Unterkunft jedem empfehlen.

Quiet spot with the exception of stray dogs, unfortunately encouraged by guests to come on the property. Good beach for swimming 15 minutes by tuk. Pool was fabulous... we more or less enjoyed it by ourselves. Room service meals on the porch were ok but not excellent value for money. Room was not cleaned thoroughly after previous guests. Best feature was the pool. Expensive to get to town by tuk but the tuk driver was good. Pleasant and peaceful environment.

Unser Aufenthalt in Amanta Beach war von der ersten Sekunde an hervorragend. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und bekamen einen leckeren Willkommensdrink. Unser Zimmer war sauber und entsprach den Fotos. Wir haben auch ein Moskitonetz erhalten und konnten seelenruhig schlafen. Der private Außenbereich mit einer zusätzlicher Dusche war auch super! Die Anlage an sich war wunderschön und es gibt sogar einen Ayurveda Garten, aus welchem zB essbare Garnitur genutzt wurde. Wir hatten den Strand fast für uns alleine, zwei sehr zutrauliche Hunde haben uns Gesellschaft geleistet. Das Personal war herausragend und super freundlich! Jeder Wunsch wurde uns erfüllt! Es wurde sogar eine Tour durch Trinco zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten und zu unserer nächsten Unterkunft arrangiert. Das Frühstück war ausgiebig in mehreren Gängen, sehr frisch und äußerst lecker! Am ersten Abend haben wir uns für das tolle und fancy vier Gänge Dinner entschieden! Wir können diesen Ort von Herzen weiter empfehlen!

We had a great family time in this amazing place. very remote but fully furnished, within walking distance from a beautiful beach. the restaurant also makes it very convenient when needed

l'alloggio è meraviglioso. veramente un angolo di pace, con la piscina privata che fa da cornice appartata anche nei momenti di brutto tempo (e noi ne abbiamo beccati parecchi). staff gentile e premuroso. tutto magnifico! unica nota la cucina non all'altezza della struttura e dei prezzi! ottima colazione invece :)

Die unterkunft direkt am wunderschönen Strand ist seeehr empfehlenswert! Alle leute waren stehts äusserst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das essen im hotel zählt zum besten Essen was wir in Sri Lanka gegessen haben! Wir haben uns von Minute 1 an wohl und zuhause gefühlt! Wir würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen! Sehr schönes sauberes Appartement in toller Lage zum Strand. Durch die Verwaltung durch eine Rezeption hatte man immer einen Ansprechpartner, Kay reagierte schnell auf unsere Nachrichten. Einziger Kritikpunkt sind die wenig vorhandenen Liegen am Pool. Das Appartement hatte eine super Aussicht auf das Meer.

We stayed here for 6 nights at the end of a three week trip around Sri Lanka. It was a great way to end the trip, in a clean, air-conditioned and spacious apartment overlooking the sea. The setting is perfect - sunrise over the sea and picture postcard beach and palms in between. The apartment is part of a larger complex, but it never felt crowded and the pool and surrounding greenery were lovely. It’s clean, comfortable and spacious, perfect for a family. There are a few restaurants and amenities within walking distance but most stuff is either a hot walk or a tuk tuk ride away. It’s worth pointing out that if you’re planning to self-cater, there aren’t many grocery stores in the area and those that are there are sometimes sparsely provisioned. We tended to have breakfast in the apartment and then lunch and dinner locally. All in all, a fantastic base for a relaxing few days - we’d happily return and can equally happily recommend it.

We loved our stay here, it exceeded our already high expectations! The design of the house is very cool, it’s much bigger than it looks from the outside or photos. We loved the outside space and the breakfast. Having the access to the beach was so special. The housekeeper Kasruthi made us feel at home

Absolutely amazing breathtaking fact you forget about all your worries and sorrow the moment when you walk in and look through those big massive windows really really wish I could’ve stayed longer however, looking forward to Returning in November once again thank you for all of your assistance during my day and constant phone calls definitely recommend this place guys worth every penny

lovely place and fantastic hosts with friendly and accommodating housekeeper. walking distance from many dive centres. a quiet and spacious space, quite unlike any regular housing you would find. but the quiet may come with some downside as it is a little further distance from many amenities and restaurants within the area. a great spot for quiet reprieve nonetheless

Our beachside stay in Trincomalee was absolutely perfect. The view was stunning—waking up to the ocean each morning felt like a dream. The house itself had a beautiful, well-thought-out aesthetic that made it feel both stylish and relaxing. It was just a short walk to plenty of activities, including what I’m convinced is the best scuba shop in all of Sri Lanka. Housekeeping was consistently on time and incredibly helpful each day, making the stay even more comfortable. The TV was a nice bonus too, preloaded with tons of great movies for when we wanted to unwind. No complaints at all—just a peaceful, beautiful stay in a perfect location. Highly recommend!

The apartment was beautiful! Spotless, with a beautiful view overlooking Nilaveli beach. The swimming pool was amazing, and the beach right ahead was BEAUTIFUL! We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would definitely recommend. Also there were lots of restaurants local- great seafood restaurants and Lankan style cuisine. My family had a lot of fun! 😌 would definitely come back if Im ever in the trinco area again!
