Kid-friendly holiday rentals in North Haven

The house on the tidal river was perfect! My wife loved the extra suite as a get away for reading and watching the wildlife on the river. Easy to get to town by taking the walkway bridge too! Kathy was a great host!

Susan was wonderful! Her place is thoughtfully designed and equipped. We could walk to the harbor, shops and restaurants, yet the area around us was peaceful and quiet. Her recommendations were spot on and she provided an abundance of local information and maps. Staying there was like stepping into history with all the modern conveniences. Highly recommend!!!

We felt like at home. The house is located in a private property with swimming pool and tennis courts. It’s very clean and very peaceful. Just a clarification about the description : there’s no bathroom in the basement. Then if you come with elderly people or very young kids, it could be annoying. If you like cooking, the kitchen is very well equipped. We´ll keep a very good memory of our stay in Ducktrap Retreat during the colorful foliage season.

We absolutely loved our stay, the house is very private and comfy. The master bathroom and kitchen were both really nice. Beds are very comfy as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone

This house was very clean! Everything for making coffee was there and he even left us snacks. He responded very fast to a few questions. Backyard was nice with corn-hole game. The home was a couple of blocks from the ocean and close to the grocery store.

Very responsive, helpful host. House is well-cared for. Bedrooms/beds are very comfortable; bedding was clean and also comfortable. Dining room holds 8 comfortably. Kitchen stove is remarkable, and the kitchen space easily accommodates two people cooking and another preparing drinks, helping, or just hanging out. Nice neighborhood and easy walk to downtown. Photos on listing are accurate. Highly recommend!

I wanted a peaceful place by the water to unwind and Maggie’s home nailed it. Every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations. The deck views were amazing—islands, ospreys hunting, and a duck and her ducklings feeding along the shoreline. At low tide we poked around in the sand at the bottom of the rocks, and could have easily walked out to the center of the bay but it was juuuust a bit chilly for us. Easy to drive, park and walk along beach on the Atlantic side and explore. We didn’t have time to kayak but hope to be back to give it a go. So much beauty and nature, but with all the amenities that make it easy to relax. Maggie was responsive, and she and her family obviously care very much for the property. Check the propane BEFORE you plan to grill :), and bring flip flops to easily get from the house to the grotto (which was so comfy and cozy) and back again.

We loved this place. Dominic was an incredible host. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen fabulous. The apartment was walking distance to the town and restaurants. We highly recommend this place. We were there during a got spell and the rooms were a little warm. However, we were provided a fan for each room. Thank you.

Pam’s place is wonderful. There is a lake behind the house, down a steep hill. It was a nice surprise! This place is a gem! It was nice to have a stove to cook breakfast and dinner. We will stay here if/when we make it back. Thank you, Pam!

The place is very nice and private. Quiet neighborhood, yet close to the downtown area in Camden. Walking distance to the trail to Mt Battie. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Jason was very friendly and had clear instructions on how to use everything. We really enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our time here. Brenda was very responsive and helped us out when we needed accommodations pretty short notice. The area is private and peaceful, it was just what we needed to rest up and recharge for busy traveling days.

So peaceful but off season. So not sure how it would be with lots of traffic and people. But the private deck and entrance was wonderful. The water view couldn’t have been more up close and personal with the beautiful harbor. The place was clean and cozy. Perfect lighting. Didn’t watch tv once. A convenient common room for extra supplies or a cup of coffee. Staff was very friendly when we were checking out. No front desk attendant and none needed. They answer messages quickly!

My partner and I have been staying at Penelope's place now for 4 years and we're always so happy to be there. The views truly are breathtaking, and the apartment is so cozy! Penelope is an absolute treasure of a human being as well. This is a hidden gem in Rockport and you owe it to yourself to stay there!

This place was amazing! The kitchen was the best kitchen I have ever had in an Airbnb. The Loft is very different, in a good way, from the usual home. It is a beautiful Loft built inside a steel pre-fab building. You have everything you need at your fingertips.

The Owl’s Nest is a great place to stay and explore the coast in Maine. We stayed for a whole week and had a blast each day. Acadia is about an hour and half drive away and there are a bunch of trails to do much closer by as well. JoDee and her family are gracious hosts and were extremely helpful and attentive to all we needed during our stay. I even used this place as a jumping off point to go to Baxter State Park one morning. The bnb itself is exactly as described, and served all our (two people) purposes exceptionally well. Would definitely recommend staying here to other folks and wouldn’t mind returning again.

Brian’s place was very clean and walking distance to everything in downtown Bar Harbor. Note to guests: apartment is on the second floor up a fairly steep flight of steps.

We rented both the Toddy House and Rocky House for a week for our family of 12. The houses were as described and in pristine condition. We loved the fact that they were close together, so the late night group could stay up socializing, while the children could be put to bed without distraction. The Toddy House had a pool table which provided lots of late night entertainment. It also had a large open common area to accommodate our group, and we spent a lot of time on the screened porches. We really liked the access to the water with the dock, the canoes and kayaks, and the super cool fire ring. We are the type of family that asks a lot of questions, and Mark was quick to answer and take care of any questions or issues we had. We spent a great deal of time at Acadia, and while the drive was about 45 minutes to get there, it was not a problem at all. We would definitely return to 3Havens if we decided to take another vacation in this area. Mark and Laurie were excellent hosts.

We had a great stay! The condo was very clean and cozy! The host provided clear instructions for a smooth and comfortable stay. We didn’t want to be right in Bar Harbor, so this was the perfect distance between Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park/Schoodic Area. Would recommend!

We stayed at a few of Spencer's places while our child was at Bowdoin college. The places are lovely and convenient and made visiting our child a pleasure.

What a beautiful location and house. There’s nothing better than sitting in the living room or front porch and being able to see the Belfast Bay. The house is very clean and neat. Beds are comfortable, shower is very hot. Don’t miss the sunrise in the mornings. Overall this is one of our favorite places we have stayed in Belfast.
