Preston village lies 1.1 mile inland from the beautiful Tynemouth longsands, between Whitley Bay and Tynemouth. Only a mile to a metro station giving access to the cities of Newcastle, Gateshead etc. The south facing high walled garden has a wood fired hot tub for all 5 guests to unwind and relax. Hepscott is a quiet pretty village two miles south of Morpeth. There is easy access from both the A1 and the A19. Morpeth is an attractive busy market town with ample shopping, dining and drinking establishments. Nearby there are beautiful beaches and historic castles. Northumberland is an ideal destination for walkers and cyclists. Here at Hazel Cottage we can offer secure storage for bicycles and free parking. Morpeth railway station is close by with regular trains from London and the north.

Wild swimming, cycling and endless walks lie just beyond its gate. One of five dwellings, the Cottage has a private entrance and exclusive use of a small south-facing garden. Night skies are spectacular and often punctuated with calling owls and the rustle of hedgehogs & badgers. Bird spotting and fishing is another delight.

The towns of Alnwick ( the castle having featured in the Harry Potter film) and Rothbury are also 20 min away and well worth a visit.
