Great place to stay in the centre of Whitby

This is a really beautiful property! Although one has to deal with many steps, the beauty and peacefulness and quiet are really worth it. It is comfortable, well equipped, and quiet, with a really charming balcony to sit on – a lovely view of the Abbey. Very easy access to town, beaches, et cetera. The host was helpful, and answered our queries fully and promptly. We would certainly recommend it.

This was our third stay in Brooklands Hideaway and it was a great as ever. If you are looking for a stay in Scarborough then it really is worth it. The flat is spacious, clean and we feel right at home. It is also just a short walk down to the beach and into town while also being tucked away from everything so is relaxing and quiet. The host is also very helpful and accommodating and check in instructions are very easy to follow.

Will definitely be back , as a photographer it was a great location for Bempton Cliffs . Everything you needed was on site lovely location , well kept , short walk to a lovely sandy beach . Close to Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington for a day out

This is our second stay at low tide, stayed in 2023 and it was as beautiful as it was then! Super clean, gorgeous decor, great little courtyard and lovely little touches for the doggy (dog bowls, blanket)! Hosts were very quick to respond to any messages! Great location, 2 mins to the beach, private parking you coudnt ask for anymore! Will be back again 100%

This is our second trip to Whitby. This stay was slightly closer to the centre which was a huge bonus. another bonus was the parking. The flat was beautiful, exactly as it shows in the pictures, spacious, spotlessly clean with very comfortable furniture. All the extras were very much appreciated, tea, coffee, biscuits, good sized mugs, tea towels, washing up liquid, salt & pepper & not forgetting the wine! We cannot fault anything about our stay and should we visit again, this will be our first & possibly only choice of accommodation. Thankyou Val x

Lovely accommodation, only a five minute walk from town centre. Co-op only stones through away around corner. Everything catered for in all rooms. Minimalistic so easy to keep tidy and gather belongings at end. Beds veeeerrrrryy comfy. Host v. Communicative and on the ball with info, including a v. Useful app so everything you need to know is in one place. Also basement allocated parking a bonus. Only thing needed now would be a seagull silencer for bedtime... 🤣

We had a fantastic stay with Pete and sally there place is excellent, clean , ideally located for all the amenities Pete gave us very clear instructions on finding them how to get in plus where parking is, the views from across the road are amazing plus very romantic if like me you proposed to your girlfriend (she said yes!!🥰) would definitely recommend there apartment and proposing 🤣

I have stayed here a few times previously, this time with my wife and daughter (who was going to her 'Masters' graduation ceremony at Teesside University). Set in an equestrian centre, the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, yet within a few minutes drive of Middlesbrough and Guisborough for shopping & restaurants , also with plenty of country walks , parks and forests in the locality. Not a long drive to plenty of 'tourist' locations, such as Whitby, Goathland (where 'Heartbeat' TV program was filmed), Thirsk (James Herriot museum) and the scenic North York Moors. The house was spotless (as usual) and has all the facilities we wanted for our week long stay plus the convenience of secure parking, practically at the front door. Any time I may be coming over to the area I would always check if 'Upsall' would be available for my accommodation, cannot recommend it higher then that!

Claudia's cottage is the perfect place to stay when visiting Robin Hood's Bay. The location is great being so close to everything yet far away enough for lots of privacy. Claudia is a fantastic host providing lots of helpful info and directions. We had the pleasure of meeting her once in RHB and enjoyed hearing her stories of the area. My family and I had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back!

5* Accommodation was spotless. Smelt clean and fresh as soon as you walked in the door. Lovely welcome pack included all the essentials. Lots of attention to detail and little extra touches which made the property feel like home. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed and more. Located just outside of Whitby but easy to travel in and around the area. Views from the front window were amazing Would highly recommend and would definitely book again.

Really enjoyed our stay. Sandsend is a better choice for us than Whitby as it’s quiet, has a lovely beach and has great variety for places to eat out. Accommodation is great and all restaurants are easily walkable. Great place for dogs as the back garden is fully enclosed. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Well equipped house and lovely spacious garden. Limited hanging space in the bedrooms and the twin room best suited for children

This place is amazing. It's really spacious and has everything you require to enjoy your stay. We had a fabulous 4 night and were also so lucky with the weather.

Not sure what to say that's not already been said about this beautiful little place Jenny was really easy to work with and incredibly responsive, and the place looked just like the photos, and is very well tucked away

We recently stayed here and had a great experience. The property is in a great location with easy access, and it’s close to a convenient local car park (although it’s a bit small if you were travelling in peak time). The house itself is modern, clean, and well set up with good amenities. Communication with the host was also excellent. It’s a lovely clean place in a great spot, we had a perfect few days!

We had a lovely stay at Rebecca’s place in Whitby. The accommodation was in a fantastic location close to the harbour and to shops and restaurants. The accommodation facilities were excellent - a well-appointed kitchen and lovely bathroom and shower. The living room and bedrooms were very comfortable and cosy. Rebecca’s communication was excellent - really clear and helpful instructions to find the place and parking. She was helpful and responsive throughout. Highly recommended place to stay and fantastic host!

Exceptionable place and position. The Hop on Hop off bus was right outside,so if you dont fancy the steep climbs its brilliant. If you want easier access to a beach go to Sandsend just up the road. However be aware of the Pay and Display Car park as its all camera driven so no lee way on your exit time!

Second time visiting and we will be back again next year! The apartment is a home from home and has everything you could possibly need for a break away. Alison and Jon are great hosts and messaged prior to the visit with clear instructions and messaged again on the check in date with updates regarding the property. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

We stayed for a short (3 night) break June 2025. The property is very well appointed, with a bay view. It very clean and well equipped with modern appliances and tastefully decorated, and a very comfortable bed. Found Teresa to be a very helpful and attentive host, met on site and clearly outlining access, facilities and local amenities. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend the property.

Would highly recommend this little holiday apartment. We had a lovely weekend with the dog in Filey. The apartment is good value and it was great to be provided with tea, coffee, shampoo, soap etc. The location on The Bay is perfect for walking on the beach to the town.

My partner and I spent 2 nights at Clara's Den at the Bay. The apartment was clean, bright , comfortable and was fully equipped with everything needed for a home from home stay. The Bay holiday park was well maintained and peaceful and we found it to be an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful Yorkshire coastline. Clara's Den was a lovely space to come back to at the end of each day. As hosts Katharine and Chris responded almost immediately to any messages and provided us with a wealth of useful information. We would highly recommend Clara's Den as a place to stay for anyone wishing to visit this wonderful part of Yorkshire. Thankyou Katharine and Chris for a lovely break away.
