Beachfront holiday rentals in Northampton County

We had a wonderful week staying close to Cape Charles with our young kids. We loved being right on the water, super easy to drop our kayaks and paddle out. The rental team was responsive, and it was nice to have an after hours contact by text if we found we needed anything.

The stay was great and we were happy to spend another short vacation at the camper. The wifi was a great addition and repairs to the stairs made it easier to access.

Seagrass was the PERFECT place for us to stay for our weekend to Cape Charles! The place is beautiful and incredibly spacious, with fun little reading nooks, porches, an entire “ship” area on the third floor for the kids to hang out and sleep. The bathrooms and bedrooms were over-sized, beautifully decorated, and extremely comfortable. The kitchen was so awesome and the BEST (and most unique!) of any of the places we’ve stayed! We enjoyed the large wrap around porch, complete with lots of outdoor furniture, including rocking chairs to sit and relax with a beverage and appreciate the tranquil, tree-lined street. The large backyard (that also had lots of seating ) was nice for having kids and a dog. We weren’t super familiar with Cape Charles and kind of came on a last minute whim- we couldn’t have landed at a more ideal location with Seagrass . The house was walkable to everything in Cape Charles and just a few homes from the beach access! Loved it and highly recommend!

We had a fantastic trip to Jacquie A in Cape Charles for the few days leading up to New Year’s Eve 2021. This was a fantastic house that was very comfortable with nice amenities and some interesting design touches. Highly recommended from us. Will certainly come again!

Great house and location. Walkable to everything in the area.

We loved our stay at Wild Blue! The listing is exactly correct - a tiny house with plenty of room. While a single bathroom for 4 people is tight, the outdoor shower was great. The kitchen is tiny but we are out a lot so it wasn’t an issue. I will say that the ceilings are short so if someone is over 6’ this WILL be a problem. Overall the location was perfect and we had a great time.

Great place to stay. We had a mini family reunion. Everyone had their own bedroom and en suite bath. Lots of room to hang out. Great sunsets from the deck.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful, with amazing outdoor spaces on patio and the crow’s nest. The bedrooms are comfortable though people may fight over who gets the immense master suite. The kitchen is great and has a comfortable dining area. The house is in a gated neighborhood that is walkable to the main town area, but the walk is about 1.5 miles so may not be for everyone. We would absolutely stay here again.

This place is truly magical - every part of the house and land is full of bliss - from sand bar soaks to pond forrest walks. MJ was so great, providing recommendations, stories, and an easy morning with fresh coffee and homemade breakfast. The Laughing King is truly one of a kind and we are looking forward to creating more memories here!

This was a fantastic place to stay. MJ was great and made us feel at home and comfortable. The views, location, and company were terrific! I would recommend this spot for anyone visiting the area or looking for a relaxing, peaceful vacation. I would definitely stay here the next time I’m in Cape Charles.

My husband and I stayed for the weekend and really loved MJ’s property. The home is situated on the bay with paddle boards and kayaks available which we used to explore the area. The nature is unbelievable. We ate oysters straight from the private bay in the backyard. MJ is wonderful and provided great recs for local spots to go to at night. There is also a pond on the property which my husband went fishing at and caught a few black bass! (Just for fun!). At night we lit a fire out back and relaxed under the stars with the other guests. In the morning MJ cooked a delicious breakfast. We will definitely be back. Book now!

This is an amazing house that’s brand new and right on the beach. There’s 3 decks that look right into the sunset and water. Very nice furniture, beds, and amenities. This is a perfect house in a perfect location.

Our stay was wonderful. Jill was very responsive and handled everything quickly and efficiently. We stayed here with our aging parents and the accommodations were great. The house was easy to navigate for both of them. The town was quiet and the beach and pool were lovely. Fantastic place to reset and recharge. Thank you! We are looking forward to returning for another visit.

Blue Belle was a fun and roomy place to spend a long weekend with our family! It’s in a great area and was easy to get anywhere you wanted to go in Cape Charles. We rented a golf cart but it wasn’t in the best of shape. That’s not Doug’s fault but that of the rental company. Therefore, we didn’t really use it as much as we would have liked. Doug was prompt in getting the washing machine repaired and it was needed. Our granddaughters enjoyed playing the ring on a string game on the back porch and walk to the beach nearby. I recommend staying here!

The house is perfectly situated with easy access to the beach and shops. It is obvious that the host takes extreme care to make sure the house is comfortable for the guests. It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. She communicated information to make things easy and answered our questions within minutes!

We had a great stay! The house was as pictured, very clean and close to the beach. The house had beach items - tent, chairs, beach toys. We also loved using the outdoor shower. Overall, a wonderful spot for our family!

The house was absolutely perfect. Very comfy and clean. Smith Beach has been my family’s vacation spot for 70+ years. We’ve gotten to rent a few different cottages over the years and have always loved them. We’ve been renting the cottage that Joseph now owns and we have loved staying there the past 3 years. It’s been very cool to see all the new personal touches to the cottage and also all of the neat home upgrades Joseph and the previous owners have done. Joseph was quick to respond to all of my messages and was able to answer all of my questions very kindly and professionally. This was my first Airbnb experience and he made our stay extremely special. His home was very cozy and clean. The Tiny House was the perfect getaway! The beach was very private. The Sunsets were just gorgeous! Our Host Christi went above and beyond to make us feel right at home.All I really needed to bring was myself and my clothes. She had everything we needed. She told me how to get to a really cool antique shop. It was awesome! I can't say enough good things about Christi. She was an amazing Host and extremely helpful! Her place is truly a Hidden Gem! We absolutely love coming to stay at Erin's place. It has everything you could think of to make an unforgettable family vacation. Calm waters make it safe for the kids to have more freedom and learn to Kayak on the bay. The sunsets are picture perfect. The house is big and spacious and welcoming all in one. We look forward to coming back year after year.
