Beachfront holiday rentals in Northern Norway

This is probably one of the best spots I've stayed at. From the beautiful view afforded by the floor to ceiling windows to the quality of cooking supplies and equipment, everything was great. Highly recommend!

Carl's place was a great place to spend some time. We used local buses to get out and about - a nice walk through the woods to the bus stop. After a busy day, back at the cabin we could have a sauna, a swim in the lake and cook and enjoy an evening meal in the wonderful mid June evening light. Did Carl arrange for his guests to have such nice weather...? I'll let you decide ;-)

We had a great time at David's place with a very nice welcome by David's mom. The setting is beautiful with lake views and a superb and protected landscape. The space was very cozy and well laid out. We highly recommend it!

This was our first time on Lofoten and the tiny house from Kari was a great place for our holiday. Located near a beautiful beach we enjoyed the calm location with great views of the surrounding mountains. The house had anything we needed and the couch was very comfortable to sleep on. The sauna was a welcome addition with the cold weather. We appreciated the quick help from Kari for all our questions. Very happy to come back for more relaxing and resetting from the usual daily life!

The house is beautifully and quietly located by the water. You can relax wonderfully and enjoy the surroundings. We loved the time in Martha's house, it has everything you need. In total 4 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom. Upon arrival, everything was very clean, although there were residents with dogs in the house before us. Although it was not very warm outside in June at 10 degrees, it was very pleasant in the house. In the guest book, Alice from France wrote: the house has its own soul, its own charm and it lives. I can only agree with that. Staying in this house is highly recommended. It is also highly recommended to drive to Svolvär via Laukvika, a very beautiful coastal road. Please remember to buy everything you need for your stay in advance. The nearest supermarket (and gas station) is in Svolvär and is 40 minutes away.

We had the greatest stay at Kosti’s ! He’s the best host we could ask for. He’s always available when you need anything, and makes sure for your stay to be as welcoming as possible. The sauna and pool are really nice to enjoy, and the location is perfect. The (then frozen) river next to the house offered us the possibility to watch wonderful auroras, and the proximity the Ounasvaraa ski station allowed us to enjoy it as much as possible. I could only recommend you to stay at Kosti’s place if you want your stay to be the best, and feel as a local.

Amazing experience. The location is great for seeing auroras (we saw them!) and only half an hour from Rovaniemi. The lake is very beautiful. The cottage is very well equipped and cozy. The only issue we had was the door locks which are not intuitive. The host's communication was very good. I highly recommend this accommodation!

Jamies van was just what we needed. It was perfect to see Lofoten on our own pace and explore wherever we wanted. The bed is comfortable which is all you really need.

We stayed for three nights at Edgars house. The location of the house was amazing. The house is very cosy and you have an amazing view on the river/fjord. In the kitchen we found everthing we needed. We highly recommed Edgars house for a trip to Monsjøen. We were a little bit sad that our stay was so short. We did a circular hiking round including the Helgelandstrappa, which is worth to visit.

The house is perfect, the lake is a dream place for aurora watching, and meeting reindeer ! Ilkka is of great help to organize activities. I would highly recommend this place.

We were very much looking forward to our stay in Norway and the host was always available. We chose to stay in peace and nature with sauna and hot tub. For the use of this, we had to pay extra which is not very clearly stated. For this price, maybe a little more wood provided because you will certainly not be able to use this and since the price is already pricey anyway, if this is unlimited, we find it. The house was clean, spacious and beautiful view. However, a dangerous staircase, especially the hole down when you are upstairs. Children who are playing do not always have this in mind, maybe a fence provided for safety! The fireplace is definitely a plus because we love this coziness. We were able to admire the northern lights 5 of the 6 nights from the terrace. The kitchen equipment may be a little more extensive. We missed a mixer to mix our soup and a colander to shake off the spaghetti.

Dear Tina, We loved „Solli“, your arctic paradise at the sea. So much space and light because of the glassfront towards the fjord. Spectacular view and best private Sauna we ever saw. Everything around the house was so easy, thanks also to the perfect information about everything there was to know you and René provided beforehand and your quick responses whenever we had a question. Even though the house is not „infant safe“ we managed pretty good travelling with a 17 month old boy, since there were no stairs inside going down and the upward ones we could block and since it was summer season no need to use the fireplace. Plenty of room to play in the living room. The kitchen was equipped perfetly. Even a bedroom with the greatest view. We stayed with 3 (and a half😉) generations and everyone loved it. We were allowed to spend 8 days in Kathrine's beautiful house. The location, tranquility and view are unique. The whole house is very clean and maintained. You immediately feel comfortable, which is why a rainy day is no problem. The kitchen equipment leaves nothing to be desired, so you can easily cater for yourself. The coffee machine and the Sodastream are particularly worth mentioning here. The beds are very comfortable and the Stressless armchairs in the living room invite you to relax. The whirlpool on the terrace with the great view is phenomenal. Kathrine responds to queries within a short time and also proactively passes on information. She informed us about the Artic Run, where we had the opportunity to meet her, which we were very pleased about. We totally enjoyed the days in Kathrine and Glenn's house and hope that we can come back in the winter.

The place was so beautiful! How naturally the cottage and the barbecue area fit into the environment! From the cottage, you could see the lake through the beautifully pruned trees. It was calming to watch the summer life of the water - our time there was filled with sun, fog and rain, which was great. The cottage was very well equipped, clean, cozy, tastefully decorated. The wood was waiting in the wood sauna and at the barbecue area, skillfully arranged. Check-in and communication with Terho went smoothly. Thank you so much for letting us spend the remarkable summer days in your birdhouse!

Great cabin in a magical place! Hosts are very responsive and offer places to visit. If you want to be amazed without being afraid to walk on a slope, which is certainly a little steep to access the hut, do not hesitate.

Thank you Karin and Arild for the most wonderful stay at your beautiful home! It was so nice to meet you both in person, and to receive your warm hospitality :) We love the peace and tranquility of the location, and enjoyed reading and gazing out by the huge windows here. This is our first time in Norway and Lofoten, and we'll definitely be back one day!

In a beautiful environment, simple hut but with a lot of charm, very well equipped, super clean, well heated, quiet. Responsive host. I highly recommend Holand Hyyte.

This house? An absolute hit! Right on the coast, with a view that is so beautiful that you have to pinch yourself every now and then. Highlights? There are many! – The hikes in the mountains? Great! – The beaches? Postcard level! – The island of Leka? An excursion that you can't miss. Sleeping was completely overrated, by the way - we wanted to savor every minute here. Our trick: simply don't go to bed in the first place. It worked great (well, almost...). A big thank you to Snorre and Britta! You have created a real piece of happiness by the sea with this house. We'll be back, whether you like it or not😉.
