The Barn - Luxurious Self Catering In Ardfern

KevinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Barn is a beautiful restoration with amazing attention to detail. It is set in a very quiet, peaceful & picturesque area. Cameron & Abi have ensured you have everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is very well equipped with utensils & a variety of cooking, tea & coffee making options. The lounge & sunroom areas are beautifully furnished. The bedroom is large & light filled with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is spotless, & the shower is amazing. A short & scenic walk over the hill will take you into Ardfern. I recommend Lucy’s cafe for food & coffee. On arrival you are met by Cameron’s dad, Phil; who is very friendly, accommodating & a fount of knowledge of the local area & its history. Cameron & Abi are very proactive, positive & communicative hosts. I highly recommend the Barn as a stunning, comfortable, serene & pleasant place to stay.

Tom’s House - peace, quiet and wildlife - in Oban!

Harriet SarahRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What can we say. Billy was an exceptional host. He was kind and helpful. The spot is beautifully situated in Oban. The morning breakfasts with red squirrels and the visits from the deer added to the memories. Everything you could have thought of was there! Highly rate and will definitely come back if we are ever in the area again!

Beautiful period home on loch, wonderful views

CherylRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our month long stay at Fortrenn was an unforgettable experience that left us feeling rejuvenated, inspired and in love with Scotland. The cottage itself is a charming blend of traditional Scottish architecture and modern amenities. It features cozy rooms adorned with local artwork and comfortable furnishings that made us feel instantly at home. The living area was particularly inviting, with a fireplace that added warmth and character to the space. The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us to easily prepare our own meals. One of the highlights of Fortrenn was the master bedroom, which offered panoramic views of the loch. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a luxurious bathtub. The combination of stunning natural beauty, charming accommodations, and warm hospitality helped to create our perfect vacation. Fortrenn proved to be the ideal base from which to explore all that this remarkable region has to offer. We hope to be able to return one day soon!

Beolary

LindaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Lovely (mostly) clean, modern house. Downstairs shower isn’t fully enclosed and with an overhead shower meant water going everywhere, especially when washing your hair. No toiletries provided, apart from hand wash (we have stayed at numerous properties over the last 6 weeks and the majority have dispensers on the shower walls with body wash, shampoo & conditioner) and no shelf in shower to put your own toiletries on either which is annoying to have to keep bending down to pick them up. The kitchen was well equipped, although some cooking pans weren’t overly clean. The dryer’s filter hadn’t been cleaned either. The lounge area was nice with comfy furniture, but the dining chairs we found a little uncomfortable as they sank when you sat on them. But apart from that we had a lovely stay.

Cosy 1BR Apt w/ Patio & Free Parking

AngelaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This newly renovated flat was lovely. The beds & linens were luxurious. The kitchen was very well equipped with coffee, jams & even a few beverages in the fridge. Our absolute favorite part was the spacious rain shower! The location of this flat was near the top of the hill overlooking the town but that allowed for beautiful views & there’s a bus stop just outside the flat. 10 out of 10!

Craigneuk near Oban, stunning home with sea views

IrinaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
David's place was our favourite during this one week holiday in Scotland. The location is amazing and seeing the water from the livingroom and bedroom windows was wonderful. However, what made it stand apart from other accommodations was the interior design: every single space inside the house is tasteful and cosy, and we felt at home from the moment we walked in. Everything was clean and the quality of towels, soaps and shower gels are five star hotel level. David and Amanda are great hosts, very friendly and thoughtful, and it is evident that the comfort of their guests is their priority - also, we were delighted to meet them in person. We were sorry to leave after only one day there and will be happy to go back when next in Scotland.

Glenquaich House

MichelleRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We spent three nights here and loved it! Wonderful position, close to the main shopping area and ferry, amazing views and quiet. Five minute walk down to the shopping area but the walk is either via a steep road or steps (144!!) but was fine for us. Convenient off road parking in the driveway. Short uphill walk to McCaig’s tower - superb views and benches to sit and take it in. The apartment is very spacious and feels luxurious, just like the photos. Would definitely recommend this Airbnb to others.

Spacious flat in the centre of Oban - 1C Combie St

StephanieRating, 5 stars5 months ago
My partner and our two friends stayed over New Year. Had an amazing time as the flat is so close to some lovely restaurants and the Oban waterfront. Particularly recommend the Lorne Bar for tasty, affordable food. We also enjoyed Patricia’s recommendation of a walk up Pulpit hill for amazing views out to sea. The flat was very clean and well furnished. Patricia allowing us to check in early was very useful and appreciated as we were travelling by train with luggage. Bluetooth speakers in living room and bathroom a nice touch. Beds very comfortable. Flat nice and warm. Quiet area. Beautiful view from the living room window. Good pressure and heat from main bathroom shower.

Alison's flat was large and comfortable for our group of four. Very quiet area, yet close to the main part of Oban. everything was as described. Lots of dishes. Enjoyed morning coffee at Roxy's Coffee (delicious scones). Ferry over to Isle of Mull was a highlight as were the fish and chips lunch at the Isle of Mull Hotel. Tremendous views.

OBAN Modern 2bed Flat, Private Parking & Garden

BonnieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Finally an Airbnb that reflects a best in class B&B ! Lynne's place was organized, so clean and so comfortable -- and what made it even better was how thoughtful she was in making her guests feel welcome ! She had continental breakfast available incase one didn't come prepared, and proactively reached out incase we needed any local recommendations or any other help. She is RARE in the Airbnb world -- so if you are visiting Oban, stay at Lynne's !

Alexandra Apartment - stunning view

Fiona And OliverRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The apartment is lovely and very spacious. It was great to have two bathrooms. I had anticipated one being en suite but they’re both independent - very helpful. The kitchen is great, the living room is very large with views, TV and extremely comfy sofas. There was a power cut while we were there which affected both the oven and the heating. We didn’t know what was going on but we texted Hazel who responded immediately with instructions on how to reset so they began working again. I booked parking at Stoddarts of Oban as suggested and that was useful - private and safe. There was free overnight parking right outside the apartment on the esplanade which I used for the last night. I topped up with a ticket for an hour in the morning after 9am, and that was inexpensive - useful for getting the luggage into the car before leaving. The apartment is also very quiet, and was walking distance to the ferry for the sea tour we did, and to local shops.

Centrally located 2 bedroom flat with free parking

StephenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is a very good choice for a stay in Oban. Handy for walking into town and getting to the islands via the port. I stayed with my elderly parents and the stairs up two flights were fine. Shirley Ann was very up front in communications so there were no surprises. My parents enjoyed looking round Oban and I worked from the flat. More than adequate connectivity for work and plenty of space too.

Cobblerview Apartment

KatharineRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had an excellent stay at Cobblerview Apartment! The view was, of course, gorgeous - but the care that Carol & Don took in ensuring our stay was comfortable was greatly appreciated and made our experience especially enjoyable. The apartment is cosy and immediately inviting, with a sizable living room space and dining table positioned next to the window and looking out onto Loch Long. Though the view you have of the loch itself is expansive, we never felt as though we didn’t have enough privacy - aside from this window out onto the water, almost all of the natural light that filters in is through skylights. We never needed for utensils or utilities, Carol & Don provided a full range of crockery, cleaning supplies and towels It’s worth bearing in mind that as this is a waterfront property, the bugs are in abundance around summer and you’ll need to have your spray on if you want to sit out on the balcony this time of year!

Springle Oban

FionaRating, 5 starstoday
Spotlessly clean and thoughtfully furnished. And the beds were extra comfortable!. We only stayed one night but would very happily have stayed longer-we were able to park right outside and it was walkable for restaurants and only a few minutes to the ferry. Tricia’s communications were excellent. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a comfortable base in Oban.

WilliamRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Jill was very friendly and sought to make sure we were settled in well. She prepared a well-stocked refreshments area and all the amenities necessary, which was much appreciated. We had the whole top floor to ourselves and the views of the loch were peaceful and serene. We had a great stay!

We had such a wonderful stay at Cathy's place. The views of the garden and the Loch are so beautiful, it's a really peaceful place to be - and we were lucky with the weather so could sit outside on the decking and enjoy the evening sun. The place is really clean, the bed is comfy and Cathy is so nice and super responsive - thankyou so much! Also its just great base to explore the local area, Loch lomond etc

Beautiful Apartment Overlooking Loch Goil

ClareRating, 5 stars2 days ago
This is a fantastic apartment in a beautiful location. It’s well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay and the information provided by Ryan was really useful. It’s easy is remote as described so we came prepared with all of the food and drink supplies we needed for the three days we were there however there was a great little shop on the complex nearby where we stopped for a couple of things during our stay. As suggested by Ryan we did the Carrick Castle Loop walk, the Donich Falls Walk, the Bridge of Orchy drive and hired a boat on Loch Goil. All of which were fantastic and we’d highly recommend. The Goil Inn and Boat Shed Cafe both served good food and were friendly and welcoming places to eat. Would definitely recommend a stay in the fabulous place.

Marie's place is great. In a quiet part of Oban but close enough to walk in and enjoy everything the town has to offer. Bonus points for the fact Maree hosted us at short notice and saved us after a ferry cancellation.
