Cottage holiday rentals in Ocean Isle Beach

My favorite Air BnB so far! We loved the location. It’s away from the fast pace of the Myrtle Beach area but close enough when you want to go out to shop, eat or visit the beach.

Kevin reached out prior to our visit to make sure we had all the information we needed. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by little signs, welcoming us, as well as our dog, by name! The beach-themed decor is super cute! The gated deck area and the screened in porch were great for us and our dog. The community is very welcoming and friendly. Having access to the golf cart was helpful and convenient. We enjoyed the pools and Jacuzzi in the community area. Although it rained all week during our stay, we were able to find fun things to do in Myrtle Beach, such as Ripley’s aquarium, the house of mirrors and the haunted house. We highly recommend crabby Mike’s seafood buffet as a fun place to eat. The thermostat on the AC broke during our stay. Kevin was at the door within about 30 minutes and it was fixed by a professional within two hours. We really appreciated his responsiveness! Kevin and Janet were excellent hosts and we enjoyed our stay at the playful pelican very much!

We had a great experience at this Airbnb! The home was very clean and well appointed, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We especially enjoyed having access to the golf cart—it made getting around the neighborhood and to the beach easy and fun. The host provided very detailed instructions, which helped a lot. We also appreciated being able to check in early once the cleaners were finished—such a nice bonus! One thing to keep in mind is that there are several keys and key cards to manage: a house key in a lockbox with a code, a golf cart key, a shed key, and a key card for neighborhood and beach access. The key card must be purchased separately for $30 from the clubhouse, which has specific operating hours—so plan ahead for that. Overall, it was a lovely stay and we’d definitely return!

A beautiful, comfy cottage for a couple or family of 4. Bring golf clubs, swim suits and bikes because the community is lovely with lots to do. We felt right at home and had everything needed for a comfy, cozy and very peaceful stay. We will definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed a beautiful week with my son, his wife and two grandchildren. they loved the golf cart rides and the pools. splash pad was awesome. private beach access was wonderful plus May was perfect weather

Maria’s place was very comfortable and really spotless. She made our dog very welcome too. Easy check in and great communication. We had a really nice stay.

This place exceeded our expectations! From the beginning, Matthew was very communicative and helpful. Check in was easy and the place was pristine! We loved drinking our morning coffee on the front porch overlooking the colorful azaleas. My kids loved the 2 twin bedroom and walking to the golf course. The pool was not open yet but is a great amenity to have so close by. It was a super easy, short drive to the Marsh Walk where we enjoyed food and drinks. If I ever find myself in Murrells Inlet I will stay here again and I would recommend to everyone!

Our family loved this house and location - plenty of room, easy walk to the beach, tennis courts out back, friendly neighbors, easy access to restaurants and stores. Jim was responded quickly when we asked for help with supplies. The spring pollen factor was high - so be ready! We washed the decks and chairs and that improved things. We will return!

Great spot and great location relative to restaurants, shops and the beach. It’s a low key place without many frills but does the trick. Also somewhat setback from the road which makes it feel secluded and quiet. Only downside is only 1 mirror to help get ready for events like a wedding.

Great experience in this older cottage which has been restored enough to be modern without losing the historic charm. We loved having a fenced yard for the dogs and a private driveway. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything you might need. The house was in a great location to make anything drivable within 10-15 minutes. The hosts were kind, proactive, and very responsive. I would absolutely come back here again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house felt right at home. It was pet friendly, but you could not tell there had ever been a pet in there. The house was clean. Even had a little water bowl ready for your furry friend.

This was our favorite place we've stayed in the 4 years we've been going to Carolina Beach. It is clean, cute, and comfortable. You would never guess that previous guests had pets because it was so clean! There was plenty of room for our family (2 adults, an 8 year old, and dog). The location was phenomenal and pretty much central to everything. You can easily walk to the boardwalk and Ocean Grill and everywhere in between. The beach access was VERY close as well. Suzan was an excellent host and it was clear our comfort was her priority throughout our stay. I highly recommend.

This is a great house and so close to the beach (right around the corner). We loved hanging out at the house and everything was comfortable. The house book has lots of great information and was helpful for our explorations of the island. It was everything we wanted for a week of taking it easy at the beach. The host and management are truly gracious and responsive. I would definitely stay here again!

It was an amazing and beautiful trip. Bruce’ location is close to everywhere. This was the perfect location quick shopping and the beach. The house is beautiful and the carport was everything to sit under and grill. Thank you, Bruce for allowing us to have a good time. Will definitely stay again.

Mary's place was great for our guys golf getaway! She is a very responsive host and place was very clean. Condo looked just as it did in the pictures. Place is right across the street from the beach, which was very nice. No need to drive to the beach. We would definitely go back and stay again!

We had such a wonderful stay! The place was cozy, beautifully maintained, and had so much charm. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the front porch. It was the perfect spot to unwind. A great bonus was having a restaurant with live music just a short walk away. Most of all, our host was truly exceptional, friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

We have stayed here multiple times and as always every aspect of the stay was great. Renee is an absolute awesome host ready, willing and able to make your stay the very best it can be. If you are looking for a special place to get away from it all and enjoy a peaceful setting look no further than What “A” View. It was in a private and quiet area. Plenty of great restaurants with a quick car ride. The house itself was perfect for a few nights away. Cozy, warm and inviting.

Well taken care of home. Beds comfortable, kitchen clean and well stocked (little extras like coffee, creamers, popcorn, and oatmeal provided). Bathrooms were updated and clean. Fenced back yard is great for pets. Home is on a busy town road but it did not have loud traffic during the night. The walk to the beach is just across the street and down the access road so very doable. Especially with the provided foldable wagon. The beaches here are beautiful. For us the negative is the parking if you do need to drive to the beach access. It is pay to park and limited spots for visitors. Only one TV in living room. And main bedroom only has a queen (mattress is great but we just don’t sleep well on a queen anymore) overall it was a great little house!

The space was clean, well-kept, and incredibly well-supplied with everything we needed—from kitchen essentials to beach gear. If you're looking for a place with personality, tranquility, and easy access to Oak Island’s beautiful beaches, this cottage is a fantastic choice. We’d definitely come back!

This was our second time staying at the Flying sea cow. This is been our favorite place to stay when visiting Carolina Beach. We love being able to ride the beach cruiser bikes, and how close it is to the beach, boardwalk and restaurants. Jen and Eric’s place is super cute and cozy. Her place has a lot of character and charm.

My wife and I and 2 two kids enjoyed Lindsey's place for four nights. It was very clean and comfortable! It's on a quiet street nice for a walk (my kids rode their scooters.) We drove a few minutes to the beach every day. It was a great trip and a great place to stay.
