Beachfront holiday rentals in Ocracoke Island

This was a wonderful experience. We loved the well stocked kitchen and dog friendly house. No one complained, from adults down to teenagers :). Marsha and Steve gave some excellent recommendations for our first stay at Outer Banks. Teens/young adults loved the outdoor shower and mom loved the washer/dryer. The amount of outdoor furniture was impressive. Such a beautiful weekend! Beach is close enough to walk to and the chairs were very helpful. Thanks again!

Great private location very close to the beach, and perfect for kids to play outside and ride bikes around safely! The pool was definitely not in walking distance, but worth a quick drive as it wasn’t ever too busy and a very nice place. Kids loved the outdoor shower and adults loved the porch seating. Host very responsive and friendly!

This house was absolutely perfect! Not only was it exactly as pictured and described, but it felt very cozy, while still being spacious and offering lots of options. The location provided quick access to a beautiful beach, and a great ‘central’ location for day trips to Ocracoke, Pea Island, Nags Head and Hatteras, which gave our group great flexibility when people wanted to strike out on their own and then meet up later. Having the kayak and paddle board handy was nice for those who just wanted to relax and ‘chill’ for the day. We especially loved morning coffee on the back deck overlooking the sound, and being able to have dinner together on the huge screened in porch. The kitchen was extremely well-appointed which made meal prep a breeze. Communications with the host could not have been easier. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend!

I can't say enough positive things about Anthony or Diamond Shells. Beautiful beach front home. Do understand that, while the walk to the beach is very short, it is quite sloped - this is the case for every single beachfront home due to the topography. The house was absolutely perfect, and so was Anthony. Very responsive host and answered all questions very promptly and graciously.

We just got back today. This home is absolutely perfect for a quiet getaway. Sit on the couch, at the dining table, wake up in bed, wash dishes….wherever you are in this home, you will have an ocean view!!!!!!! Richard was very responsive and attentive. We travel down to OBX 2x a year and this will definitely be the place we stay! Rodanthe has that small town feel and just perfect for those that do not want to be around the crowds. Step right off the deck and onto the sand. Walk the beach and enjoy the sounds and views. Sunrise, sunsets? You get both in this home from every room! We loved our stay and will be back this fall!

There was plenty of room for the four of us! Everything was clean and tidy. While you are still pretty close to a lot of other houses, you have views of the ocean in between, and on the stormy nights, we could hear the waves crashing on the beach. The house is also very close to an ice cream shop and The Froggy Dog restaurant, which serves an excellent dinner menu. The house also provides beach chairs, sand toys, kayaks, etc. so you don't have to bring anything but your beach towel! Overall we had a pleasant stay.

While we were on our way to Arlene's house she contacted me to let me know the street and driveway were flooding due to the high waves. She said if it was too hard to get in, her husband would take us to the house in his truck. We were able to make it in but it was a very kind offer and went above and beyond! Arlene's house was comfortable with an amazing view. A lot of the beach had receded away due to storms which made walks on the beach difficult at times but the view from her decks made up for it. The only thing we could have wished for was a bit more yard with less tall prickly vines to walk our pup and to walk thru to the beach due to the driveway and road being flooded. All in all, we had a WONDERFUL time and I would come back again. Thank you Arlene for your very fast responses and offer of your husband's truck to get in! If we come back to the area we will absolutely see if your home is available again.

Our family loved this house! The kitchen is well-equipped with anything you might need even for the little ones. Everything was organized and clean! If we travel back to Rodanthe, we will definitely book again!!

Great location, easy access, cleanest jacuzzi I've seen, fantastic pool, close to the beach through a 100 yard trek through some brush, a path with stairs, and a mid-sized dune. Comments from my friends: 1) a lot of stairs and incline beach access for people with mobility issues. 2) Game room is completely separate from the rest of the house. 3) No staircase to top floor from the deck, but no biggie. 4) Great spaces and amenities, but bathrooms do not have fans or opening windows so watch out there.

Our extended family had a wonderfully relaxing vacation at Seventh Heaven. The house was clean with lots of room—and Theresa or Mandy responded quickly to any of our questions. Due to the many levels, be aware there are multiple stairs to navigate, but not an issue with us. The kitchen was well equipped and the beach was pristine and beautiful. Restaurants we recommend: Cockeyed Clam and Diamond Shoals.

We had such a great stay at the Shore Shack! It was the perfect little escape—super cozy, clean, and well thought out. One of the best parts was how pet-friendly it was. The fully fenced-in yard was a huge plus for our pup, and it made relaxing so much easier knowing he could safely roam around. The hot tub was amazing after a long day, and the space felt really peaceful and private. You can tell the hosts put a lot of care into creating a welcoming spot. Highly recommend for a quick getaway—especially if you’re bringing your dog along!

Dare Dream was just as pictured on the photos. The kitchen was amazing and incredibly well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The proximity to the beach was perfect for us and just what we were looking for.

Great house with attention to detail. Very well stocked kitchen was appreciated as we like to cook. Quality appliances which was also a plus. Beach access was the best of any house we have rented over 40 years.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The host was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to stay a little over the checkout time, which was a huge help for our travel plans. Their responsiveness to any questions we had was excellent, making communication seamless and stress-free. A major bonus for us was the availability of a Tesla charger on-site – it made our trip so much more convenient and worry-free. Heaven sent! My family arrived at another rental we had booked for 2 weeks in Rodanthe only to find it inaccessible due to flooding so we were homeless at 5:30 on a Saturday afternoon. We found Natalie's listing for this property and quickly contacted her to request an on-the spot booking. She responded immediately and graciously accepted. We had no idea what to expect, having had no opportunity to thoroughly research the property in advance of booking. Natalie indeed has a true gem in this listing. Being waterfront on the sound side was a new experience for us, we have been lifelong oceanfront renters. The property, pool and grounds were exceptionally well cared for and the pier and sea wall provided ample fishing opportunities, bringing in several nice Red Drum and Blues among the usual assortment. The house itself provided ample room for our family to spread out and also enjoy being together. Natalie saved the day and we had a fabulous stay - I highly recommend this listing!

Our stay was just perfect! Julianne was accommodating in every way possible and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. The house also has everything you can think of and is absolutely beautiful. The view is amazing. We would love to stay again next year!

The pictures don't do this place justice. It's an incredible location with more than enough space for 4+ adults and can easily fit more. Quiet, tons of natural light with phenomenal sunset views every night (sunrises not too shabby either). Comfortable furniture, good AC, great kitchen space and amenities. Enough kayaks and paddle boards for the Brady bunch family. Good shower pressure and internet. Master bed was very soft for those with bad backs like myself but stellar stay overall.

Iga's beach house was absolutely perfect for our family vacation! The house was very spacious and clean. The kitchen had everything that we needed for stay at home meals and the charcoal grill was perfect for cooking outside as well. The living room was large and comfortable seating for lounging around and watching movies. Just a short walk to the beach and some local shops and ice cream, which was very convenient. Iga was a wonderful host. She was very responsive and always kind. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend this home for your next Outer Banks stay!!

We had a great stay at Out of the Blue. Margot was so responsive and helpful. Perfect location to get to/from beach easily and close to grocery, restaurants. Comfortable home. Would definitely return!

We enjoyed our vacation. The home was exactly as described, great location! Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Lots of beach gear provided. Clean and beautifully maintained home. We would stay again.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the Best Nest and would highly recommend it! The apartment was very clean, well furnished, and comfortable. It has a lovely deck where we enjoyed sitting and listening to the sounds of the ocean. The little kitchen area was perfect for our needs and well supplied. The bathroom was very spacious and the thick towels and robes were great. It was closer to the beach than I had realized- just a couple minute walk past some houses and over a small sand dune. We enjoyed the waves, shells, and the small number of people on the beach! The outdoor shower at the house was super nice when we got back. It is also close to restaurants, horse back riding, and the Okracoke Island ferry. Don't hesitate to book!

This home is in Avon NC which is around 45 minutes south of Kills Devil and Manteo. So it is a bit of a drive to get to a lot of the sites, but we liked that. It wasn’t near as “touristy “ as those areas and the beaches are really nice. They weren’t crowded at all. We really liked being a way from the busyness
