Family-friendly holiday rentals in Old Town, Bologna

The location is ideal for exploring Bologna. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. The aircon was very efficient. The outside terraces were pleasant to sit in.

We spent two nights there, everything was great! The hot tub overlooking the mountains is a good plus and if you go there in summer you can enjoy the fruits that grow on site. There is also a couple of neighbors, who are absolutely adorable and with whom everything went well.

Words cannot explain how beautiful this home is! From the warm fireplace to the beautiful furnishings and feel of the home, we loved EVERYTHING about it. Tiziano was so helpful with recommendations and we can’t wait to come visit again and share a bottle of wine with him next time. 10/10 would recommend this Airbnb for anyone looking for a small town home with plenty of small local places to eat/drink.

We had a wonderful time staying in Cristina’s loft. The garden, lovingly cared for by Giuseppe, is absolutely beautiful and was a true highlight of our stay. The surroundings are well worth exploring — full of charm and cultural treasures. Most mornings we started the day with a run through the peaceful landscape, followed by a refreshing swim in the pool. There is so much to see and do in the area, both in nature and in terms of culture. We can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a special and relaxing stay.

We had a very joyful stay, host was friendly from the moment we arrived till the moment we left. Loved all the animals and the beautiful scenery. Breakfast was very tasty and fresh. Communication was very easy and we felt right at home.

The owners showed incredible availability, as well as a kindness that is not always found. They were also very patient and helpful with unforeseen events and organizational changes communicated at short notice. We found the house comfortable, clean and welcoming. We were provided with services and amenities of all kinds (full fridge, lots of food for breakfast), and we were also accompanied from the station to the house and from the house to the station. I thank them again very much and I will definitely return to them on any other occasion when I need to sleep near Bologna. Thank you

WOW! Book it now. We literally waited the entire stay to write this review, and since there are millions of reasons to book this place we will focus on the highest- first Andrea is a true superhost. What a lovely person, caring, attentive and very proactive. The house is the most unique place we’ve been to, and you will fall into the 60s-70s vibes of it right away. It’s enchanting! Every room in this house is decorated to perfection, the kitchen is well equipped and the garden is a great place to view the sunset. Other than that’s it a great place for families (great variety of sleeping options for the young ones) with lots to do around. Andrea, thank you so much for everything, we can’t wait to come back.

Great space that has the kitchen basics and good layout. Host is very friendly and responsive. Location convenient for the train station, however it does take about 20 min of walking to get to main attractions.

Very good stay in Bologna in Cristina's accommodation, the apartment is well located, about 10 min walk from the central square and in a quiet area! The presence of the air conditioning was great because the outside temperatures were very high! I recommend it!!

Elena's place was a great jumping off point for a variety of day trips we took to explore the region while my husband had business in Bologna. We stayed 9 days and not only explored Bologna but also Modena, Ravenna, Florence, Ferrara, and Venice. As the other reviewers describe, this is a small flat ideal for one or two people who are planning to be out and about. The bedroom is the largest room, so really set up for resting before heading out again.

Natalia’s place was perfect. Just a 15-20 minute walk from central train station and so close to so many attractions and restaurants in Bologna. Beds were comfortable and place was super clean. Highly recommend. Hope to get the opportunity to visit Bologna again and will certainly look to stay at Natalia’s again.

Annalisa is friendly and helpful. The house is a small gem located in a historic building with a small balcony and a bathroom window overlooking the Bolognese "rooftops". Very poetic. The house is furnished with particular attention to detail and all the small comforts necessary for a stay of even a few days are present. Tip!

We ve really enjoyed Valeria’s apartment. Great location we could walk everywhere. Valeria and Luca were really responsive hosts with their communication and the flat was very quirky and comfortable with a lovely patio and great decor we really enjoyed our stay and can only highly recommend it. The garage / parking recommended 1min away was also very secure and practical. Thank you.

This was a very quiet and comfortable place in a beautiful setting. We shared the entire location with the hosts and a second accommodation. Enough privacy. Great pool that was big enough for the kids. We had a very spacious house with a private outdoor table. The kitchen was very well equipped. We cooked several times at home. In the village at 10 minutes there is a supermarket with all you need. The place is rather isolated, you need a car to get around. Gabriela suggested to leave the car in Castel Bolognese, at 30 minutes by car, park it for free and travel by train to Ravenna or Bologna. That is just 30-40 minutes and saves you the hassle with parking or Zona Limitada restrictions in the Italian cities. We did not go to Firenze that is about 1.5-2 hours by car. Conclusion: great rural hide out with all luxury and privacy. We have seen many cyclists on the mountain roads. Supposedly therefore a good location also for cyclists or motorcycle enthusiasts to enjoy this region.

We loved Ruth's house. The perfect place to relax, enjoy the tranquility, nature and the pool. Although we had a car, Ruth told us how to get to Bologna by train and it was a success. We were also in Florence. Ruth has treated us as part of her family and has had numerous details, both with us and especially our 10-month-old baby. Thank you!!

We stayed as a family in Andrea's beautiful place to stay - a couple with baby, a couple without a child and a grandparent couple, so 6 adults. We had more than enough space and were received very warmly. Apartment, garden and pool were great and we were able to relax well. We particularly enjoyed the oversized table where we always ate. The view is amazing and everything was absolutely clean and well maintained. We experienced Andrea and Alina as very warm and accommodating. We would come back back.

Vittorio and Rosa Maria were the perfect hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. Vittorio provided great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit including a winery and cheese making factory. Also we had a fantastic meal cooked by Rosa Maria. It is a good base to visit other cities such as Modena and Parma (and others) by road or by train. The house was spacious, well equipped and felt like more like a family home with books, comfortable sofas a lovely sitting room and bedrooms. We very much enjoyed our stay and had a great holiday. Absolutely fantastic host, very friendly and professional. Baricella was stunning, very peaceful and most importantly we felt extremely safe. I cannot recommend Ylena and her beautiful home highly enough. Her home felt like a home away from home, beautifully decorated, with all creature comforts that one would expect from a five star Airbnb stay. I will be back again for sure. Thx Ylena.
