At the foot of Mt. Insect Kura, at an altitude of 800 meters, rice terraces, and tin roofs, there is an old house in a small village with nostalgic scenery right in front of you. It was built in the late Edo period, and it was opened in the early Meiji period.I have relocated since I liked the presence, settlement, and location of the house itself, including the thick pillar, and since then I've built up self renovation.It is constructed using old wood to preserve the historical texture. The floorboards are reuse of chestnut wood and rice shelves laying under the tatami mats.The paved stone from the garden is a Goemon bath, and the warehouse used in Nagaya Gate is reused at the entrance. I spend the summer with only a fan.On the other hand, I think there is a creaky wind in the winter and it feels very cold, but it is also one of the things that I would like to experience is the creative way to live a little warm, such as a self-built ondol (floor heating) and a Goemon bath. Azumino Earth House

This is a guest house that was renovated by a 100-year-old farmer and his friends, located in an apple orchard at the foot of the Northern Alps. The name is Azumino Earth Hostel. Families with children can also stay with peace of mind. Enjoy a delicious meal with the host and the guests who stayed that day. ※ The price is 7,000 yen, which includes dinner and breakfast. (* Alcohol is sold separately) Children's rates are for elementary school to high school students, toddler rates are for young children to older children, and children under the age of one are free. In winter, a heating fee of 500 yen will be added. Nearby there are also hot springs with good views, the Alps Azumino National Park where children can play all day, and wineries. We also have agricultural experiences in the fields that the owner runs, and in the summer we play in the river and do Nagashi Somen. It's been 10 years since I moved to Azumino and opened this inn because I wanted to create a place where people could share their dreams and thoughts and connect with each other. One group per day mountain homestay at 950m on the slopes of Mt. Hijiri, ideal for hiking. Surrounded by beautiful seasonal nature and mountain views. Breakfast comes with homemade jam, fresh eggs from our chickens, and freshly baked bread loved by guests. We live here with a goat, two dogs, and chickens. Conversation happens naturally if guests wish, and privacy is respected. A peaceful base for exploring Nagano by day and quiet mountain evenings. Optional irori dinner. Station pickup included.

Azumino Hotaka Another House is a private retreat for one group per day, in a quiet villa area at the foot of the Northern Alps. Soak in a Kiso hinoki wooden bath with flowing natural hot spring water from Nakabusa Valley. From late summer, enjoy evening higurashi cicadas, chestnut picking, and autumn colors in the garden. In cooler months, relax by the Italian pellet stove with specialty coffee or local herbal tea. Freshly grated wasabi at breakfast offers an authentic taste of Azumino.
