Without doubt THE BEST place we've ever been on holiday ❤️. The location is just perfect if you're looking for an 'off grid' place. The mountain views are outstanding and only interrupted by the sound of the mountain goats bells which are wonderfully melodic!. The hosts were wonderful providing us with a homemade Moussaka for our arrival 👌delivering fresh eggs from their hens later in the week. Google Maps brings you right to the villa and a small hire car can make it just take your time on the windy bits! If you're a cat lover you're in for a treat as there are a few beautiful young cats to feed (food provided by owners). Pool fabulous accommodation perfect. We are already booking for next year! 💯 the perfect place to wind down and recharge away from everything we couldn't recommend enough! ps Nikolaos was super helpful when we needed support on getting a flat tyre replaced 👌

We had an unforgettable stay at this accommodation! The place was just as stunning as in the pictures – clean, cozy, and in a fantastic location. Kristel was incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely friendly. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone. 😍☀️

Firstly, ahuge thank you to George and Christina for letting us stay at their wonderful Property. As hosts they were absolutely wonderful and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived until we left . Christina is so lovely and showed us round the property how to use everything and seemed that absolutely nothing would be to much trouble if we needed anything at all. We have stayed in some wonderful properties all over Europe, Australia, Japan, and Morocco . This is definitely one of our favourite Airbnb‘s we have used. Firstly, the property is exactly as described. The photos are a mirror image of what you will see hen you arrive. One of the best things about the property is how homely it feels and the house has everything you need. My boys loved the basketball & pool the outside movie projector tops it off. Die Villa Emmanuela ist der absolute Traum: penibel sauber, sehr hochwertig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und alles da, was man braucht, das perfekte "Zweit"-Zuhause. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die explizite Gastfreundlichkeit der Gastgeberfamilien, wir fühlten uns jederzeit umsorgt und mit leckeren Aufmerksamkeiten verwöhnt.

Wir waren 2 Wochen mit unseren 2 Kindern in der Unterkunft und haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist angenehm ruhig im Dorf und ein guter Startpunkt für viele Ausflüge im Westen Kretas. Die Nachbarschaft ist ebenfalls sehr nett und kinderfreundlich! Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr nett und freundlich und die Reaktionszeiten sehr gut. Der Service kam einmal pro Woche und hat uns auch sehr gefallen. Alles in allem können wir die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen und würden auch gern wieder kommen!

This was the nicest Airbnb I've ever stayed in! To note, though, that this review is for the East Villa, as we had booked the West Villa, but the host kindly offered to switch us. The patio area of the East Villa looks nicer than the West Villa, as it's bigger and has a breathtaking view of the ocean. The villas are only a few months old, and everything was spotless. Mary was always responsive, which was crucial as we had booked last minute. She arranged for a contact person to meet us at a location nearby, who then led us to the villa. The location is a bit remote, but it's close to Lake Kournas and completely private. The village of Kournas is also nearby, and Chania is about an hour away. It was so comfortable that I didn't want to leave! The highlights for me were the view, the pool, the rainfall shower, and the pillows. There was also a bottle of wine in the fridge, and even though we broke something at the place, they were very polite and didn't mind at all. Truly a dream!

Wir hatten Ende Oktober eine herrliche Woche auf Kreta und haben den Aufenthalt in der Villa sehr genossen. In der Realität ist die Villa noch schöner als auf den Fotos und liegt verwinkelt in einer autofreien Seitengasse, sodass es sehr ruhig ist. Von der großzügigen Dachterrasse aus hat man einen sehr schönen Blick über das Dörfchen und auch aufs Meer. Der Blick vom Pool auf die angrenzenden Berge ist ebenso malerisch. Unsere Gastgeber waren unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke dafür! In der Taverne im Dorf kann man lecker essen und morgens gibt es frisches Brot vom Bäcker.

We have had the most magical week staying here. We had our 4 year old daughter and then my teenage daughter and her friend. The space worked perfectly for the five of us. The house is stunning, the views are breathtaking. Maria’s Taverna has the most delicious traditional Greek food. We also discovered the Enchanted Woodland walk which you can get to right from the doorstep- our little one enjoyed following the red and white markings along the trail. We hope to return as soon as possible. Thank you so much!
