You don't often come across a place like this on Airbnb. The more than 130-year-old log cabin in the cultural heritage landscape of Suvanto takes its residents on a time travel to a 19th century village in the far north of Finland. The property is best suited for a friend of Lapland's nature, history and silence, who is not afraid of the dark in winter or mosquitoes in summer. Please note: there is no public transportation to the village, no toilet in the main building, nor a shower. There is a separate sauna building outside and a traditional outhouse behind the sauna.

We offer accommodation in connection with our cottage on the beautiful shores of Lake Kemijärvi. The price of the accommodation includes the use of a sleeping barn, a separate kitchen cabin, a sauna and an outdoor toilet. The cottage is located 12 km from the center of Kemijärvi. The log cabin has beds for two. Electricity + heating. Well-equipped kitchen. No running water. The hosts take care of the drinking water in the kitchen. Fireplace. Washing in the sauna, the use of the sauna is agreed with the hosts. The hosts use the other buildings on the premises.

Pölökkylä - A wilderness cabin on the shore of a lake

Located on the shores of a beautiful and clean lake, this log cabin is perfect for those who love nature and want to spend their vacation relaxing without any neighbors. There's a boat on the beach of the cottage. The cottage and sauna are heated with wood. The fridge and stove run on gas. Domestic water is carried from the lake and the water is heated in the water tank of the sauna stove. Electricity is provided by solar panels. There is an outdoor toilet in the yard. During the winter season, solar panels are not in use.

Forrest starts just outside the premises so leave the noise and lights of the city behind and come to enjoy the peace and quiet. Welcome to the middle of nature to enjoy the cozy atmosphere of a log cabin. This holiday home, built in 2013, is located only about a 30-minute drive from the center of Rovaniemi and Santa Claus Village. The cabin has two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a fireplace, and a wood-fired sauna where you can experience the Finnish sauna culture. There is also a private lean-to (laavu) on the premises.
