we had a great stay at the cottage, it was spotlessly clean and in a great location for what we wanted to do. The back garden was great for kids and to sit in when weather permitted! Neighbours also very friendly! In short it was a great place to stay.

Sied Yr Ardd

Absolutely lovely little place to stay. You go in and first thing you see is welcoming indoor sheltered garden with seats and log burner. It looks like a shed on the outside but you go into the property and it looks like a modern amazing little home inside. Bright and welcoming would happily stay again. Hosts are great and responsive. Even put milk in the fridge before arrival.

Penycae Oak Lodge with HOT TUB

LewisRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Oak Lodge run by the team at Penycae inn is a lovely, Warm, inviting place to call home for a few days. location is perfect as you are within short driving distance of a massive amount of different walks and activities but is still nestled in a pretty/quiet area. The best thing is the proximity to the inn - tasty food available at the drop of a hat and really takes the guesswork out of lunch/dinner. they also do a killer full Welsh breakfast! All the staff at the inn are incredibly friendly and helpful too. Only complaint is the birds in the on site mini zoo are really obnoxious when trying to sleep if you're in the back bedroom! we'd happily return, it's been a lovely stay

Shepherd's Hut in Brecon Beacons

GarethRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We absolutely loved every minute of our overnight stay here, the shepherds hut is cosy and perfectly formed with everything we needed. We appreciated the detail and thoughtfulness of the fixtures and furnishings, ie lovely decor, useful sockets with USB ports. The bedroom space was atmospheric with portable lamps and the beds were comfy too. Andy is a very responsive and friendly host who was very welcoming to our little boy, who loved the opportunity to meet all the four-legged animals on Andy's farm! :-) We really enjoyed the outdoor space too, and despite it being a drizzly day, we successfully had a BBQ and ate under the canopy of the hut on the chairs and table provided. Although the hut is just behind the main farmhouse, it was totally private and in a very peaceful, secluded spot in the trees. We felt very relaxed here and loved the beautiful surroundings and being close to nature and listening to sheep and bird song. Thanks Andy, we will stay longer next time! :-)

I can't even put in to words how perfect the location is, the view and the place itself! it was absolutely gorgeous down to all the little details. the outdoor cinema was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the alpacas and sheep. it's nestled away, far away from everything else and with a beautiful view. it's just what we needed!

Shepherd's Rest

DavidRating, 5 starstoday
Great, characterful space, as described. Everything you need but not too much clutter. Thank you for the breakfast items and coffee too. Lovely deck to watch the sunset whilst eating dinner and a great hot tub to relax. One of the few hot tubs where the folding top actually works easily! Thoughtful outdoor lighting that creates a nice ambience but also lets you find your way around. Amongst the sheep and the fields you feel very relaxed and away from it all but still have good wifi and all the facilities you need. Suited my 2 nights perfectly to be near the BMW Off Road Motorcycle Skills training centre, I think Triumph also have a centre nearby. Thanks for a great stay, I'll be back.
