Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Penneshaw

Our party of five adults had a relaxing and comfortable stay. House was spacious, clean and well equipped in a quiet location. I usually take extra tea towels, paper towels etc but I didn’t need to as Eleonora ensured we had everything we needed and more. The complimentary bottle of wine was a thoughtful and very much appreciated extra! Eleonora is a friendly and responsive host and I would highly recommend a stay at her holiday house. We will definitely be back.

I loved staying here. It was a great location to the airport and shops in Kingscote. The bed was super comfortable and had good quality linens. Water pressure was great and hot (just don’t do the dishes when someone is in the shower). I recommended this place to stay, and definitely would stay here again myself!

This is truly an amazing escape - no neighbours, no noise, just a beautiful home in a serene location. The sunsets are PERFECT, wildlife and if you are lucky go to the beach in the morning and watch the dolphins only a few metres from shore. If you want the escape to recharge and relax this is it.

Beautiful beach cottage on amazing Kangeroo Island. Minutes walk away from fabulous beach and with resident wallabies in the garden. Great base for a holiday on KI.

It was really a beautiful and peacefull place to stay. Place was clean and as described. Highly recommend it. Will surely come back. I forgot my airpods but host was really nice and friendly they posted back my airpods. So nice of them. Rooms very big and kitchen is beauty. You can cook your fav dish as well. 😄 Will come back for sure 🥰

Nice little getaway if you’re looking for somewhere quiet (as we were!). Some beautiful empty beaches just a short stroll away and barely saw another person at any of them, which was great for our dogs and kids to explore. Really close to Penneshaw too, so a great spot to use as a base for day trips around the island. House isn’t the fanciest with all the mod cons, but it’s emblematic of the quiet little seaside town and what we were looking for.

Wedgetaildown is a superb place to stay - the location is fantastic with lovely views and birds and kangaroos on your doorstep, but even more remarkable is the fantastic hospitality of Peter and Betty - the best we've ever had in an Airbnb. Every detail was thought of for a memorable stay - a beautifully environmentally designed and fitted out studio apartment, with so many thoughtful extras - breakfast supplies, great linen, choice of blankets and quits for the bed, blinds for views and privacy, firewood and Betty's wonderful fresh, warm bread on arrival. Lastly the location was terrific - on a private wildlife sanctuary, central for exploring all parts of the island. We easily explored Flinders Chase, and many of the bays on the north and south coasts from this wonderful place. You can book this stay with Peter and Betty with confidence especially for a weeks - or longer. You won't regret it. We'll be back.

Lovely scenery with a view of the hills, beach and animals on the properties. Short drive from the pristine carrickalinga beach and Normanville town. A very generous welcome pack was provided. Be aware the property can be shared with other residents in 2 other apartments.

Lovely unit offers essentials. It’s quiet, private and easy to find. Walkable to esplanade to see fur seals basking.

'The Nest' is a beautiful place to stay, not only for the stunning views but the amenities and finishes of the place were absolutely gorgeous and luxurious. We felt comfortable immediately. It is a perfect base for a few days of exploring KI while providing the perfect amount of relaxation after some exploring (or even just for a whole day of rest). We'd love to come back in the winter sometime to rug up near the fire with a good coffee from the coffee machine while enjoying more of the view.

Our family stayed at Lapito House to celebrate Christmas and it was everything we wished for. The accommodation feels luxurious and the location is magical. We spent hours relaxing and enjoying each other’s company on the front deck, which overlooks rolling hills, farm animals and wonderful wildlife. Pia is an excellent host and we felt extremely welcome.

Lovely area, lots for the kids to do and safe. Close to the beach and a lovely walk along the beach to the Life Saving Club. House was nice but provisions in the kitchen very basic. We had a lovely weekend.

Yael and Robert provided a gorgeous eco retreat on an amazing section of Kangaroo Island. All the local goodies and recommendations given was amazing. Super attentive and responsive throughout our whole stay. The villa was a great location for ‘home base’ to explore the island from. Lots of wildlife can be seen from the villa. Some special treats were a koala only one metre off the ground as well as a kangaroo with its Joey. Would definitely stay again!

A wonderful place to stay - easy walkable distance to both the beach and the Main Street for places to eat. Great indoor and outdoor spaces - Anne was a very welcoming and friendly host who made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend!

The best Airbnb so far!! What a view. A must to book - don’t hesitate. Every morning my daughter and I would watch the family of Blue Wrens forage the garden and count how many frogs we could find in the pond. A place to reconnect with nature and switch off. We didn’t feel the need to leave once our entire stay.

We enjoyed a two-night stay at Cabn over the Easter long-weekend. The cabin is well furnished for guests to be self-sufficient, and the location is private and peaceful, with lots of wildlife (kangaroos, sheep, birds, etc.). However, Cape St Albans has less within driving distance compared to other areas of Kangaroo Island, and for this reason, we recommend only staying two-nights.

A great place to stay on Kangaroo Island. We loved it was away from the main towns of KI but close enough that if we needed anything it was a short drive. Beautiful outlook over the bay and a lovely beach at your door step. Was a bonus that TuEmuz has a penguin rookery at their backdoor, Eric was kind enough to show us where they nested. We were there for 7 nights and never tired of waking up to the sound of the waves, view and the beautiful sunlight streaming through the window while having breakfast. The shower had good pressure, bed was comfy and the kitchen well equiped. The only problem I could find at going to KI at this time of year was that some restaurants are seasonal and were closed. The advantage was the weather was lovely and there were very few tourist. Eric & Wilma were lovely hosts. Hope to go back one day.
