Comfortable home in beautiful surroundings. Really responsive and friendly host. En-suite bathrooms to each bedroom and the beds were super comfy. Great parking and charger for electric car - lovely walks nearby along the river and the horse in the field behind had just given birth to a foal so our daughter was mesmerised. Oh I forgot the hot tub - that was great too!

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

Beautiful location for a lovely farm stay, great views from the hot tub! Loved being able to watch the cows and sheep. Claire was lovely and was ready to help at any moment despite us arriving so late at night! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

We had a lovely relaxing weekend at this property. The local surroundings are beautiful and the house was clean and very well equipped. The hot tub was a nice addition and communication with our host was excellent from start to finish. I would happily recommend a stay here :)

We all felt incredibly spoilt at tower cottage. The accommodation just had a wonderful, relaxed, comforting playful energy about it. It felt that every ornament or artifact that the cottage held had a story behind it and what a privilege for us. It was joyous. The grounds, well that was something else. Early morning Deer, the call of the chiff chaff, the fast low flight of the sparrow hawk through the woods, the soothing sound of the stream in an evening, a great crested grebe joining us for our Sunday morning dip and the joy of the marble run in the woods reminded us to freely play all weekend as a friendship group. Living next door, Ruth and mark were on hand if we needed help or advice without ever feeling like our time and space was compromised. Relaxed wholesome hosts who love where they live. Their kindness was infectious. We will definitely be back.

Charming and full of character, with fabulous pool and hot tub. Loved our stay with family. Granddaughter filled with excitement throughout our stay.

My husband and I (and our two dogs) had our mini-moon here and it was just the relaxing break we needed. The dogs settled straight away and it's the most sleep we've had in years. Coming from the States, we were looking for a quintessential Yorkshire Dales experience: someplace peaceful and quiet with beautiful scenery. This place fit the bill perfectly. The house was very comfortable and we especially loved the shower, beds and comforters. It really is self catered so be sure to bring any cooking staples you will need. Beautiful artwork throughout the house, and some great magazines to read on rainy days. We did have an issue on the second to last day we were there - the power went out for no apparent reason. Luckily we were able to isolate the problem circuit and get things partially working again. Claire was very helpful and arranged for showers we could use in the cabins at the main property down the road. All in all, it was a lovely location and we would definitely stay there again.

Lovely, cosy cottage. Very warm, despite the inclement weather. Under floor heating was lovely! We lit a fire one evening, although we didn't really need it, and it was great!

A beautiful location, very peaceful. The main hall is an adventure centre, but there were no problems in respect of disturbing our stay, noise levels were minimal to none. The enclosed (very large) rear garden is fantastic for those with pooches with them, this creates a stress free way to let them wander and play. The grounds are wonderful, with a lovely woodland walk by the stream. Not forgetting the beauty of Ullswater and all of its walks and activities close to hand. We had a great time here and have already said we will return.

Sophie was a great host, really responsive and communicative. The cottage was really easy to get to and about 25 minutes from Penrith and Keswick. Lovely spot.

A beautiful cottage in the most stunning and well kept grounds. The chickens absolutely added value to the experience, especially the little brown one who we named Wilmer for our stay! She was the perfect little neighbour, cute, cheeky and friendly. The lake, boat and kayaks were gorgeous. Cottage stunning, found the smell of ‘dog’ noticeable when I went in which sparked some allergies but luckily, not upstairs so didn’t impact sleep. It clearly said dogs welcome downstairs so something I should have thought about in advance. The library and reading area overlooking gardens and lake was so peaceful and cottage really does optimise the space. Kitchen very well thought out with good facilities and loved the fresh eggs and white roses left, a really thoughtful and lovely gesture. Gorgeous place, privacy respected and clearly a much loved cottage. Thank you.

Over the years we have stayed at quite a few AirBnBs and this has got to be one of the best. Seemingly everything had been thought through. Everything worked and there weren't any issues. Parking was okay for our two cars. Would definitely look to stay here again as the house easily held the 6 adults and 3 year old.

Had a great couple of days at Strawberry Cottage. The place was clean, cosy, and had all the amenities we could need. The location was fantastic - only a very short walk into Keswick Town Centre. Would highly recommend.

Very welcoming hosts and an impressive place to rent. The interior is in stylish, comfortable and in great condition. The location is quieter than others in the lake district but only 15 mins from Bowness. We loved our weekend.

A great Airbnb in the traditional fashion we enjoy: ie hosts live next door and greet you in person. The cottage itself is 5* and the garden a delight. Thoroughly recommend.

Our break at Alhambra Cottage was just what we hoped for. The location to the town with amazing restaurants, cafes and shops close by was great and being so close to Derwent Water meant we barely had to use our car. We also had a lovely evening at the beautiful cinema just across the road. The cottage had everything we needed, and was very comfortable with clear information for appliances etc. we would definitely stay here again. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

We stayed at Harry's place for just one night but wished it was for longer after getting a feel for the place.The accommodation is beautifully designed with brilliant features in every corner.We had everything we needed at the cottage and Harry is a fab communicator giving us lots of helpful information.The town itself was buzzing with interesting characters and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ulverston and can't wait to return.

Beautiful cottage in the Lake District countryside. Loved sitting out on the patio in the evenings watching the sheep and taking in the peaceful setting. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked for cooking supplies and the bed was very comfy. Close to so many beautiful spots in the Lakes. We had a great stay, thanks!

Joan was very hospitable meeting us when we arrived and saying goodbye. Great suggestions for places to eat as well. Home was very clean, comfortable, and pretty. Had all we needed! Wish we could have stayed longer!
