Your experience is enhanced with a gas grill, outdoor seating/dining table, fully outfitted kitchen, and even a clearing for campfire and stargazing. Deer and wild turkeys are frequent visitors. Designed with an open-concept layout, Cabin 2 at the Piedra River Outpost features a king bed and a thoughtfully equipped kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and cooktop. A private bathroom with a walk-in shower, A/C, and TV provide added comfort. It's the perfect place to unwind after a day of fishing, hiking, or exploring the San Juan Mountains. Guests also enjoy access to the Outpost's on-site horseback riding facilities and guided trail rides.

Altitude Adjustment - A-frame cabin on 3 acres

The cabin sits at 8000 feet on a hillside approximately 20 minutes east of downtown Durango. It is newly renovated and will comfortably sleep 2-4 guests. The cabin is a great base camp for your adventures. Hiking, biking or swimming are 15 minutes away. Purgatory Resort and Wolf Creek are respectively 50 and 90 minutes away. AWD or 4x4 is required in winter to drive up the .33 mile access road to the cabin.
