Santiago’s place was perfect for our family of 5. It’s exactly as pictured, but the view and the privacy is even better. Santiago was a great host. He guided us to our place after dark and made sure we had everything we needed. I even left my wallet at a local restaurant and had trouble communicating with them over the phone because of the language barrier, and Santiago called on my behalf. Above and beyond hosting. Even though the house is not technically part of the resort, it still very much feels like it when you enter and the accessibility to the hot springs. If we’re able to come again to La Fortuna, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you so much, Santiago!

I loved my stay here. Juan Torres (Martin’s father) who owns and built the place is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We had many long talks - I was sad to leave. He has 5 wonderful dogs that roam the grounds and are full of affection. The property is so quiet that you can hear nothing but the music of the wilderness at night. The WiFi is fast, the AC is cold. Book a stay here, you’ll be happy you did. Cheers Juan Torres - see you again one day, friend. PS: this is a great place to clean and tune up your bicycle, is that’s how you are traveling, as I was.

Stayed here on a family trip to Costa Rica. So glad we stayed at this home in the mountains with an amazing view. Will stay here again.

Jose’s house was exactly as described and a great place to stay for the night we booked it! The porch on the front was a great place to sit in the morning to have coffee and we heard howler monkeys all around-very cool. The house itself was very clean and well done, well stocked and Jose was very communicative and responsive. The shower was hot and big and the bed was comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer!
