Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ponta Delgada

Beautifully renovated old house, retaining original elements. The new extension, with the raised glass cube, is fantastic: stylishly furnished, beautiful views, always varied, private. Only the chirping of birds. Car can be parked on private property. Garden is private. Good bed! The kitchen is somewhat impractical, but that is secondary to the advantages of the house. During our stay, there were construction works next to the house. We were not bothered by it, especially because we were often on the road during the day. In short: fantastic place, worth repeating! The apartment was perfect. Living environment with everything you need (no beach towel) the equipment was clean. The view is breathtaking on the terrace and in the living room. It was relaxing and very safe with a splendid inner courtyard. I recommend this apartment to everyone!! Thank you, Marco!

Dino’s home is one of the top three AirBnBs that we have stayed in, and we have stayed at over 30+ AirBnBs from Peru to Portugal, Europe and the US. Moreover, he is easily the best host we have ever stayed with. He was waiting for us when we arrived and spent 30 minutes showing us where everything was and how to use it. I would strongly recommend his home to anyone looking for a beautiful home in a beautiful location.

Highly recommend this place for a couple traveling together. It was clean and a great location. Andre was proactive with instructions and recommendations before we arrived and he was super responsive when we had questions.

We had a wonderful stay at Jose's. We were two families, four young kids and it was the perfect setup for us. We liked the location, as it wasn't downtown so it was quiet and had a good backyard for the kids, a pool, and a beautiful view! It was also easy to get to other parts of the island from. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed to cook in. After being at the house for 5 days, a crew came and changed the linens and cleaned the house! We mostly communicated with Tomas, who checked us in and Joana. Both were lovely and very helpful! They were also extremely accommodating with check in/check-out! We were able to check in early which was critical for the kids after a redeye and they let us check out later than the normal check-out time. We highly recommend this house for future guest!

This is the best place to stay in all of the Azores! The owners are the nicest people and have literally equipped the apartment with everything you could possibly need to make your stay on the island enjoyable. It is absolutely perfect for families as they even had toys, a baby bed, high chair, and rocking chair prepared for us. There is parking right in front of the complex, and it was super quiet. The hosts give you total privacy as we only saw them at check in and checkout, even though they lived right next door. They were also super responsive via the AirBNB chat for anything we needed. The apartment itself was also a perfect spot for making day trips because it's right in the middle of the island and only 15-minutes to most things in Punta Delgado. It was also so much bigger than it looked in the pictures. I thought it was just a studio apartment, but the kitchen is actually in a separate room. The bread and eggs were so thoughtful and made this a ten thousand star stay! :)

I’ve experienced all kinds of Airbnb hosts—some bad, some decent, and a few great ones. But none have come close to Daniel. He truly redefines what it means to be a host. From the moment we booked, Daniel went above and beyond—offering thoughtful local recommendations, answering every question promptly, and showing up immediately whenever we needed anything. A nice welcome awaited us. It was clean and the host provided a lot of amenities. I recommend this place!

Clean, comfortable, spacious apartment right in the heart of the city. Close to everything including restaurants, shops and points of interest. Very accommodating host re: checking in early. Allowed us to leave our suitcases for a few hours in a safe spot in the foyer after checking out and before heading to the airport. There is also a private patio where you can catch the morning sun while having your coffee. This apartment is on the top floor so be prepared for a lot of stairs. Overall, a great stay!

The place was clean and convenient. There was a leak in the toilet that was quickly resolved.

João is an excellent host, he provided us with the tips about how to best see Azores in the 4 days that we were there and was proactive in making sure we had everything we needed. The apartment exceeded our expectations. It is much larger than we expected, each room is spacious including the kitchen and the two bathrooms. Each room has a sliding door to the balcony the size of which is more like a terrace. The location is quiet and the downtown Ponta Delgada is accessible in 15 minutes of walking. Grocery stores are nearby. The apartment has everything to the last detail, nothing is amiss, down to the laundry detergent, dishwasher tablets., and Q-tips. And if you need anything, João is only a one text away.

Álvaro was an amazing host, the area was beautiful and he was able to provide many recommendations on stuff to do in the area. For others like us who wanted to explore the whole island it is a great central location that can get you to all sides in under an hour. Definitely will be recommending to our friends and family who will be visiting the island, thanks Álvaro!

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb. The hosts were very responsive and helpful and the location was perfect. We walked to the local market, cheese store and butcher and there were a couple small grocery stores within walking distance. Lots of restaurants and sites within walking distance as well. The garage worked well for us and the entry in and out of the building was seamless. The view front the outdoor deck was incredible and an absolute bonus to enjoy. The cooking facilities were excellent and the glasses, plates , knives etc were plentiful and in great condition. The unit was incredibly clean and functional and you could tell there was a lot of thought that went into making it perfect for guests. It was our pleasure to stay there and if we ever make our way back to this lovely city, we will definitely stay again.

This modern and well decorated apartment was a true hidden gem! Very spacious for the two of us, and with a fully equiped kitchen. The bed was large and comfortable, and everything was spotless clean. The pool was beautiful and heated, a very tranquil place to rest after our flight cancellation. Communication with Baptiste was very responsive and it was a pleasure to be greeted by his wife upon arrival. They are great hosts and made our first days on the island unforgettable.

We had a lovely stay here! The apartment is beautifully designed, with a stunning sea view, a well-equipped kitchen, and a spacious, modern bathroom. The balcony was perfect for enjoying our morning coffee. There’s a popular restaurant right next door, and although the apartment is located a bit outside the Ponta Delgada city center, it’s a peaceful area with enough parking nearby. We had a car, which we’d recommend, but also walked into town along the scenic coastline-it takes about 30 minutes. All in all, a great base for exploring the island!

This was a very well situated home that felt private and secure. The unit was bright and clean. The kitchen was stocked with basics needed. The bathrooms were clean and modern with plenty of toilet paper (could have used tissues). We were given 2 towels (one for home and one for beach/water activities) and a hand towel. I would have liked an extra towel for the week long stay. Storage in the bedrooms was great and loved the room darkening blinds! I personally felt the beds were too firm. The couch was equally as firm. For 2 people, the living room furniture was adequate but if you’re a group of 4 or more, there isn’t enough seating. The dining table seats plenty! The balcony furniture was great and my son loved lounging in the hammock and enjoying the surrounding beauty. The beach is literally a 5 minute walk with a decent restaurant on the beach. A rental car is a necessity to get around. Being centrally located meant easy access to all the island has to offer. Great stay!

The space was fantastic for a family of five. Well positioned to walk everywhere. Having covered parking was a lifesaver as there is nowhere to park on the streets. Claudia was so nice and responsive. Will definitely stay here again!!

Loved our stay! There was a bit of an ant problem but we’re pretty sure that was due to the weather/season. Sara is a lovely host, and was very clear in her messages.

Moses' place was exactly as described. He took the lead with directions and instructions everything was super clear, clean and no problem. Great host and great location!

Very large accommodation, in the heart of Ponta Delgada. Walking in the streets is pleasant and there are several shops and restaurants in the area. On the other hand, parking is paid and it's a little noisy at night, but that didn't stop us from sleeping. Aphonson responded quickly. We had a nice stay.

Gorgeous home with breathtaking views, modern, clean, well kept, well appointed. Laundry a plus. Had eggs and wine available to us at check in! Parking is a little tricky to get through the gate and orient the car so that it is easier to drive out but we figured it out quickly. Great location near airport and restaurants. Luis was very proactive about towels and linens.

Such a bargain for a delightfully decorated apartment with an incredible view and a hot tub on the terrace!!! The area was peaceful and stunning and the apartment had everything you could need! Definitely recommend :)
