Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Port Douglas

We loved our stay at this property! The layout is perfect for a group of 7 - 8, across the four bedrooms. It’s very open plan which is perfect for socialising but is well laid out so we never felt on top of each other and had plenty of room. The design of the house wraps around the pool which backs onto beautiful trees and really feels like a lush tropical escape. Check in was very easy and Bianca was very responsive with any questions. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking at a weekend away in Port Douglas.

The house was perfect for our family of eleven. Morning walks to the beach, swimming in the pool, and the sounds of the tropical birds were very enjoyable for someone from Texas. A visit to Korunda Village, Baron Falls, Four Mile Beach, and snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef were easily accessible and enjoyed by all. I would recommend this beautiful home to anybody for a wonderful holiday!

Marie’s house is fantastic. You have 360• views of the rainforest, which you wake up to in the bedroom and can enjoy all day on the balcony. Although you can’t see them, there are neighbours close by so you don’t feel completely isolated. Marie was an excellent host, very responsive to messages and provided us with a wealth of details about the house and our stay. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back again.

The apartment was exactly as described, it is modern, well designed and appointed, very stylish and with a lovely "lagoon" pool. Located 4.2 Km from the centre of Port Douglas, the main shopping and dining precinct, Macrossan Street. The apartment is, however, an easy, short walk to beautiful Four Mile beach away from the busiest stretch nearer to the centre of town. It is walkable on well maintained level footpaths for keen walkers and shuttle buses are easy and stop very close by the apartment if a one way walk is preferable. Very short drive into town. Highly recommended.

Thank you for an unforgettable stay, Jillian! Seascapes was such a peaceful place to be and my partner and I felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. I really appreciated all the little touches of home that you have made throughout the house. I had the best sleep of my life with the fresh air and soothing sounds of the rainforest, and it was just lovely to feel so isolated yet a short drive from some great attractions in the Daintree. Also, I need to buy myself a hammock now! I could have stayed in that hammock on the verandah with the ocean view for days on end haha. Thank you again for providing a welcome escape to nature.

We had the best stay! The place is perfect for families, providing space to be together and to have your own peace and quiet. The surroundings are lush and the pool area was beautiful, we didn’t want to leave.

This home is the epitome of relaxation, style, and wow factor. It has absolutely everything you could need - all the simple touches that make it feel like a home away from home. A short walk from the local hot spots. A view from the backyard that will make you want to stay forever. We really enjoyed our stay at Chris and Diana’s condo. The condo was spotless and very well stocked. Quick communication from the moment we booked and throughout our stay. We appreciated all the beach towels and pool toys. The condo was exactly as described. My family was really able to relax and enjoy Port Douglas while we were there. If we are lucky enough to make it back to Port Douglas we will be renting from Chris and Diana. Thank you for a great stay!

Loved my stay here! A well appointed guest-room, including a great spa bath, separate kitchen/dining area, within a very short distance to the beachfront, cafes & shops. I highly recommend, and would definitely return to Reef Retreat if ever up this way again.

Kathryn's place was perfect for our Port Douglas stay. Was a long rainy day and that shower was amazing !! Great location in middle of the restaurant and within walking distance of the marina, location was perfect for the scheduled diving the following morning. Would stay here again!

The apartment is as described - and more. The living area, bedrooms and kitchen were clean and very comfortable. The view from the balcony is nice and the double glazing helped eliminate any noise from the children enjoying the very, very large pool that winds throughout the resort. The winner for us was the large, private upper deck which featured the spa, sun lounge area, sitting / dining area and an outdoor kitchen with 'fridge, basin and BBQ. We made extensive use of the BBQ which had a backup gas bottle and a full set of implements. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials and both glass and plastic glasses. While the apartment is a fair way out of the Port Douglas township, the local shuttle bus arrived quickly and dropped us wherever we wanted to go in town. The longest wait was 8 minutes and the return fare is a reasonable $15pp. The Pullman Sea Temple resort is showing its age although lots of cleaning and maintenance work was underway during our stay.

Ben’s place was the best and felt like home. Everything we needed for our stay was provided. The place was peacful and we loved the privacy. We will definitely book again when we are back there. Thank you.

We bumped into the host when arriving at the property. She was extremely helpful, showed us to our apartment, have us a tour, got the keys for us and went above and beyond. We were very comfortable throughout our stay. The place was very well equipped and overall we have a great time

I had a wonderful stay at Andrea’s apartment at 201 Lake Street, Cairns. The place was clean, well-furnished, and very comfortable—perfect for a relaxing visit. It had everything I needed for a great stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, a comfortable bed, and a modern bathroom. The building also had a pool and secure parking, which were great bonuses. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the Esplanade, restaurants, shops, and the marina. Andrea was very easy to deal with—friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout the booking and stay. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cairns.

A wonderful location, close to central Port Douglas. The apartment and pool area were exemplary and a beautiful environment to relax in. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in at an Air B&B. We would definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It felt like home. We had everything we needed and more. We can definitely recommend this place if you are looking to stay in Cairns.

The apartment is fantastic, extremely clean and equipped with anything we needed. We particularly appreciated the Nespresso machine, and the pantry well stocked with Nespresso pods (our favourite flavours!). The building is clean and safe. Andrew has been a great host, and has been consistently in touch with us throughout our stay. He even offered us a late check out at no extra charge! We will definitely book this property again, should we come back to Cairns!

Great place to stay inside a good resort. Bec’s place was everything we expected, quiet room and location, good space, spa was great and shower had pressure like you never see. Would be back again no worries !

We stayed at the Resort for 6 months. During that time, we always felt comfortable and safe. Sandy and Isabell went out of their way to ensure that we were well looked after; for example, the fridge started playing up and was replaced immediately with a brand new one. The same happened with the washing machine and it too was immediately replaced with a brand-new model. Any queries we had were responded to immediately via the Airbnb message function and Isabell was kind enough to provide her personal mobile number to ensure easy and fast communications. The Resort is beautiful and has well-tended gardens and landscaping and numerous swimming pools. It was also very quiet and peaceful. :) The location of the Resort was ideal for us being close to the airport and a short drive to the CBD. It is also very close to the Botanic Gardens and the Cairns Esplanade. We would not hesitate to recommend the Resort as a beautiful location and Sandy & Isabell as perfect hosts.
