Mansion holiday rentals in Positano

Our days at Villa Torre de Giglio were wonderful! This was a long planned reunion holiday with dear friends from Italy (we are from US) . The visit was made terrific by the hospitality and beautiful and comfortable surroundings of your home. All 11 of us had a relaxing and fun vacation. Lucia (the property manager) was so helpful and the people of Massa (the village the villa is located in) were so welcoming. We loved each day!! Lucia helped us with the luggage up the large hill driveway. We especially loved the pizza party and kareoke which as an optional add on hosted by Lucia and husband. What a treat. Lucia answered all our questions and met our needs. My Italian was not great but we had technology to help us!! The hill up to the house is a significant one (I would not recommend it for the disabled or elderly) but fine for our heathy group. The bus to Sorrento was only 15 minute ride on bus (2 euro) and comes every 20 minutes to Massa city center. Hope we come again

This is a beautiful location, peaceful and tranquil. The facilities outside are fantastic. The beds were comfortable and although there is no AC there were fans. We would have liked a parasol available round the pool area but there are ample places to be fine to relax in the shade.

We had fantastic time during our family stay! our hosts Rosa and Alfonso contacted us very promptly and we're very welcoming upon arrival. the apartment was spotless with all amenities working perfectly. the location is very central, with 2 metro stops and a taxi rank in the piazza and being right next to the museum is also very convenient! there are also 2 close hopelessly on hopelessly off bus stops nearby for those looking to do some sightseeing! we had a very comfortable stay and would happily visit again, thank you very much, Alex and family x

Great place to stay. There are another 4 rooms individually in the apartment. Each room has a huge bathroom. There's enough amenities. Vincenzo is super responsive and a great host! We were very happy!

We absolutely loved the house with several patio’s, ocean views and gorgeous flowers in this peaceful location! Staying in Anacapri is the way to go since Capri was SUPER busy with day trippers. Ivan was a great host, he set up a taxi for us upon arrival in Marina Grande and he also recommended an amazing boat company(Danilo) for an amazing private boat day on the water. One thing to mention is that there are definitely stairs to get to and from the house but we thought it was totally worth it for the views!!!

Piano di Sorrento is a wonderful place to actually experience the local Italian lifestyle. Not only is its proximity to other towns convenient, it also offers its own local markets, grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, fish market, gas station, and marina. These are but a few of the locales within walking distance. Ferries to the Almalfi coast, the islands of capri and Ischia were a stone’s throw from the villa. Any questions or concerns we had were instantly addressed by the house manager Valentino. He went above and beyond! The villa also affords the opportunity to hire a wonderful cook named Rosa. Who catered to us delicious homemade Italian meals. She also makes her own Limoncello & deserts which are absolutely amazing. Valentinos wife Marta provided exceptional service as the house was spotless. We traveled w 13 family members and had the trip of a lifetime. We cannot say enough about our hosts. Riccardo, Valentino, Rosa & Marta Grazie Mille, we hope to come again!

We were a group of 5 adults and 2 children who stayed a Paola’s place for 5 days. We had a wonderful time, the house easily accommodated us and was spacious and clean. Furthermore it is situated high on a hill overlooking the sea and the island of Capri. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden, swimming in the pool and exploring the area. All in all we had a wonderful time and look forward to returning in the future.

Used Rossella’s place for family during our wedding week in Ravello. Carlo met us at the bus stop and assisted us with baggage. The Villa is a bit of a walk from the square (about 8 minutes) but in a very quiet and peaceful location. The surroundings are beautiful with lemon groves and sea views from the terrace. You feel as though you’ve been transported to the most beautiful countryside home! The kitchen is very functional and the bedrooms are quite comfortable. Highly recommend this place. Hope to return yearly!

From the moment we arrived Luigi and his family were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. On our first evening we were given 2 enormous freshly baked pizzas. Most welcome after a long day travelling here. As a party of five adults we stayed for two weeks and glad we did. The views from the Terrace were amazing, with spectacular sunsets. From the large deck and pool areas you can quietly relax and enjoy views of the sea or mountains. At meal times the fabulous gas Webber BBQ was greatly appreciated. Inside the rooms, there were some charming, decorative features which added to the ambience of the property. A large open kitchen/lounge area provides a lovely social space. From the property was a fabulous walk with amazing views over the Bay of Naples and Versuvius. The small village nearby is very friendly but as mentioned in other reviews a small car is essential which our hosts also helped us to arranged.

All was great! We had a family vacation with 7 and needed at least 5 bedrooms so we rented three of the apartments which connected. It worked out perfectly for us. The location was superb and we could walk to everything. The communication with Raffaele and Salvatore was great. Our flight was delayed and they provided us with instructions so we could get all checked in upon arrival. Raffaele also assisted us with finding drivers and any tours we needed. We will be back and would definitely and stay here!!!

We were in the villa with a group of 10 people. In total, you can also easily stay with 14 people. The host was very helpful and also supported us with tips during the stay. The villa and especially the pool are great and the view of the sea is fantastic. This is an older building. Accordingly, the facilities are a bit outdated. Also, the building is a little damp overall and has slight mold marks in one place or another (at least at the end of 2024). Otherwise, however, everything necessary is available and in particular the pool area is in perfect condition! The villa is in a great location and the immediate city is also rich in great gastronomic offers. Located at the entrance of the Amalfi Coast, it is the perfect base for a tour along the coast. Car or other vehicle absolutely necessary!

Perfect apartment in a great location for our family visit to Naples

My self & 5 friends stayed in Giovanni's apartment, there is lots of space & the wrap around terrace affords great views of Naples. Giovanni's Apartment is a prime location just opposite the Amazing Spanish Quarter. An area where you meet the real people of Naples. There is a supermarket just around the corner & a lovely coffee shop near by. We had a couple of issues during the holiday which were dealt with immediately. Both issues were of an unexpected nature & there was nothing that could have been done before hand. The listing says 2.5 bathrooms, which I thought meant there would be 3 toilets. But there wasn't. I think this was my misunderstanding. I would also say that the beds were very comfortable & I would definitely stay there again.

we had a fantastic stay at Patti's place. It was a brilliant location, the pool was a great addition to have during warm days and Patti gave us some really good restaurant recommendations. I would have no hesitation in staying here again if returning to the Sorrento area.

Cristina was a wonderful host to work with! She answered my many questions before we even arrived and helped us greatly with an emergency we had to deal with while there.The Villa was beautiful w/stunning views/decor from the terrace and house! Be prepared to walk up/down many steps on the mountain to get places-so get your cardio in before coming! The beach is hundreds of steps to get down to-and then you have to walk back up.This is what the Amalfi coast is and this house is higher up. We walked to a market that was up the mountain, but the higher we got the more beautiful the views! It was also super hot which made it a challenge, but we had ac in the house! We recommend to not bring a car & get groceries before arriving. We took a water taxi from the beach to Amalfi, instead of the bus from the stop at Hotel Belvedere which is part way down the mtn. The water taxi was beautiful and fun! From Amalfi, you can easily take a ferry to Positano or Capri…we did both! Thanks from NJ, USA!

I highly recommend!

We were 7 adults and 3 children spending a week at Claudio’s house. The house is very well suited for a group of this size and could even accommodate a few more persons. The house is in the mountains with fantastic views of the Mediterranean Sea on one side and Mount Vesuvio on the other side. Driving there involves negotiating some narrow roads with steep climbs, but it is worth it. After coming down from the mountain, getting to the Amalfi coast is easy, as is getting to Pompei and Napoli. The house itself is amazing; built into the rocks and with a fabulous design. It is more beautiful than appears from the pictures on the web site. After touring the Amalfi coast during the day, we spent late afternoons enjoying the pool and we had all our meals at the terrace outside the dining room/kitchen. We had a great week, in no small part thanks to this amazing place. Claudio and his wife, were very friendly and helpful. Before and during our stay, they responded quickly to all questions.

The experience exceeded expectations the moment we got there. Never have I experienced being greeted by the owners of Airbnb. It didn’t stop with the greeting, the family was always available when needed and more than willing to help with anything and everything. The place is far up the mountain but so worth it if you’re trying to just get away. If you don’t mind about 45 minute drive away from all the tourist, this is a spot for you. BE SURE TO RENT A CAR if you plan to visit other parts of city. I have no complaints for this place, I would definitely come back. This owners if they place are awesome!!!!

We had a fantastic time at Gennaro’s place! The view is spectacular and Gennaro and his wife were wonderful hosts. We highly recommend hiring Gennaro to cook you “Nonna’s” dinner. The experience was the best we had in all of Italy! We also had the full breakfast in the morning which was also fantastic! The drive up is tight and windy so make sure if you are renting a car you rent a very small vehicle. It is not a big deal as Gennaro was there to guide us up and it was fun to drive. I highly recommend this Airbnb!

We had a wonderful week in the Sorrento hills. Delicious restaurant recommendations, beautiful surroundings, afternoon pool sessions in this very quiet and peaceful villa. We enjoyed a 3 generation holiday and this villa had enough space for everyone. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy the area.

My friends and I had a great stay here! After a packed tour of different cities in Italy, it was the perfect spot to relax and bask in the sunshine. The view was beautiful! The place was clean and well-kept, Rachele and Franscesco were incredibly friendly. I will say that we found it hard to get to and from the place as there isn’t very much around, but we had no plans but reading and unwinding so this wasn’t an issue for us. Thank you!

A spectacular stay! Beautiful villa but even more impressive were the hosts, from all of the bookings they handled for us ahead of time to last minute trips, to an amazing pizza party, we cannot say enough about the property or Alfredo and Serafina as well as their property manager, Svetlana. A perfect place to call home base if you plan to visit Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano, (all can be visited by car or public transportation), or even a trip to Napoli (about 1.5 hours away). We used car services, buses, and trains, and everything was clean, easy, and safe. Nothing but good things to say about this property. We did not want to leave!

If you want a peaceful place to stay away from the touristy crowds, then Villa Salvius is perfect. It's located 5 minutes walk from San Pietro, Scafati station which is on a trainline branch that seemed less busy with tourists, but still easy to get to Pompeii, Herculaneum, & Naples. The area is residential with a good supermarket about a 10 minute walk away with a good selection of groceries. We got some nice cream cakes from İl Boss Delle Torte and had a nice meal at Pizza e Paccheri Evolution. The villa, the huge pool & the BBQ were very clean & we enjoyed the babyfoot table. Although the kitchen is small, it had enough crockery & we cooked several times (a large cupboard in the hallway has additional pots/pans). Everyday, we ate outside either at the huge table in the garden or on the covered terrace/balcony. The views from the garden are beautiful & we watched the sunset over Vesuvius from the garden swing. Angelo was very friendly & responsive & check in/out was very smooth.
