Chalet holiday rentals in Potomac River

What a gem of a place! My young girls enjoyed exploring the yard and going on walks, taking in the gorgeous views. The home is beautiful. We went to Orr’s Farmers Market and had everything we needed in the kitchen to make dinner with what we purchased there. The host provided all the necessary details and getting in and out was smooth.

This is my family's third time staying at the Cuckoo Chalet. We really enjoy the location and the amenities -- It has everything we need for a long weekend away from home.

Mary and Chris’s property felt like home for us!! We loved the cabin feel, the spacious layout and the well stocked kitchen. We had more than what we needed, as far as dishes to create some magical meals. Thank you for hosting our family and we will be sure to return the next time we are looking some relaxation!

Location!! Near all local attractions but extremely private. Beautiful views. Loved waking up to beautiful sunrises from the comfort of bed, and amazing stars at night from the hot tub on the back deck. This house delivers a great experience. Would absolutely stay again

We had a wonderful stay at Amy’s place. The location is beautiful (especially when it snows!) and the house was spacious and well taken care of/furnished. Also lots of board games etc available. Amy was also really helpful and proactive, offering to let us leave later on check out day due to a snow storm. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful escape near Harpers Ferry!

Nathan and the house are truly remarkable, showcasing qualities like amazing, incredible, outstanding, beautiful, kind, generous,sincere and phenominal. I highly recommend them! The home was beautiful with a stunning view of the mountains from the porch. The house was pristine aside from a few bugs in the bathroom. The large living and dining room area comfortably fits 7-8 people. Overall, the accommodations exceeded our expectations. We would definitely go back!

The view is beautiful! The main space is perfect for relaxing and visiting - but the bedrooms have enough space between them to provide some quiet and privacy for groups that have both early birds and night owls. Listening to the birds while sitting in the hot tub was especially relaxing, after attending a busy family gathering at a nearby winery.

Great stay! Host was proactive from the very moment of booking giving detailed instructions and helpful advice. House was great, super comfortable beds. Upstairs does get pretty warm but there were plug in fans available for the rooms. Hot tub was a great addition. Also very thankful that the place was fully stocked with everything we could have needed! Wish we could have had access to the pool before 2pm with the little ones, but those are the neighborhood rules, out of the host's control. Pool was nice anyway and we had a great time! Would definitely stay again!

We were a combined bunch of 8 adults and a 3 yr old. We had an incredible time, despite having a week of mostly rainy weather. There is plenty to do in the house and it is very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with small appliances and utensils. The house is kid-friendly and has all you need to entertain the kids and accommodate toddlers. The location is quiet and secluded, but close enough to a variety of attractions to keep you busy in good weather. We had a precious time and were sad to leave. Jenny was very communicative and responsive. She provided us with all the details we needed to enjoy the stay.

We really enjoyed our stay! The kitchen was clean and adequately stocked. The family room TV was huge and a great spot for a family movie night. The bedrooms were nicely decorated and free of clutter. The basement game room was a lot of fun and the hot tub was a fun addition, too. The best part about the home was the proximity to Swift Run Gap entrance to Shenandoah!

This place was perfect! We had a large group with several families with small children. House was spacious, clean, and very close to the pool, pizza, and hiking trails. Host was very flexible and provided many helpful local recommendations for our group. Would definitely recommend to others visiting the area.

Chris’ place was a fantastic place to stay and relax with some friends and family. Everyone enjoyed it very much. The place was clean and very enjoyable with the amenities working. The host was very communicative and helpful with any questions we had. Definitely would recommend.

Great accommodations for group trips. There are a number of in home activities; games, karaoke, hot tub, etc readily available. Proximity to Massanutten slopes was the selling point for our group of beginner skiers NOT interested in ski in/ski out options.

I may be slightly biased in my regard for the incredibleness of this cabin, as this is where my soon-to-be-husband proposed(!!!!), but it was a fantastic getaway. Incredible views are available from the kitchen, main living space, upstairs loft, and lower level (including the hot tub). Great access to nearby trails for quick hikes, and we took a morning trip to Warm Springs to visit the Omni Homestead Warm Springs, which was well worth the trip! You won't have ANY cellphone service, so be prepared to be unplugged from the world. Lauren was responsive for check-in needs and other questions/support. I am so glad we got to spend time with friends and family at this lodge!

This is an excellent home for staying near the slopes! The beds were super comfortable, the welcome basket, kid friendly amenities, and provided essentials were very much appreciated. We would love to stay here again.

This place was an amazing spot for a weekend getaway! The beach area by the dock was perfect for cooling off and hanging out with friends. Will definitely be back!

My friends and I had a fantastic stay at a particularly beautiful home! the natural surroundings were unbeatable, and the architecture and design of the house made for great gathering spaces as well as private areas to relax. There was a small challenge with a few spots in the house that weren't cleaned properly, but the hosts were great about replying to my concerns and resolving the issue. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb, and I hope to return again!

This home is absolutely beautiful—truly a gem! Jen is the best host you could ask for; she kept in touch with us the entire time and made sure everything was perfect. The house felt so warm and welcoming, and it was the ideal place to celebrate our one-year anniversary. We had an amazing time kayaking on the lake, visiting the Flight 93 Memorial, and unwinding in the hot tub under the stars. It was a peaceful and memorable getaway that we’ll never forget!
