A fairytale house in a gorgeous location, maintaining the traditional features of a classic French farmhouse.

Absolutely gorgeous; quiet and restful (superb automated shutters) - situated in the countryside, yet literally less than 10 minutes drive to Sarlat! We couldn’t believe it. It couldn’t be more convenient if it tried! The gite apartment is very new and aesthetically very nice - it is also 100% suitable for wheelchair users with entry ramp (from your car) and through the large sliding glass doors and all the doors, plus the kitchen unit level is correct for wheelchair users. The bathroom is beautiful with a wet room and a very snazzy shower head which clamps on to the rail using magnetism which is very clever. The bed is very comfortable and was made up for our arrival and also towels were included, along with kitchen tea-towels. These were changed over after a week. The kitchen was very well equipped and also featured a high speed induction hob. The swimming pool was gorgeous but despite being there ten days, we still didn’t get a chance to use it….

The house is amazing with very nice amenities including the indoor pool and jacuzzi. We had a great weekend with friends. Children and adults were able to enjoy the pool table. We will recommend this address. Thank you very much.

What an amazing experience and location to stay at. Well worth the price for this unique adventure and picturesque scenery of the quaint little town on the side of the hills. I would absolutely stay here again! So peaceful.

This is really the best place for a stay in Sarlat! Step out of the frontdoor and you are in the beautiful medieval town. Step outside the garden (!) door and there is parkingspace and thus possibility for unloading and uploading your luggage. The house is charming and gives a nice cool when temperatures are above 30 degrees! Sitting in the garden is a pleasure! And feeding Caroline -who can run very fast!) -her half apple a day is also a feast! We recommend this house to all our family and friends and to all you readers of this review. Oh, yes, the kitchen is great! Since we did not want to eat out every day because of the very good food one can buy here and I love cooking, this kitchen is great! Jean Christophe was very friendly in all his communication by mail. (And yes, Albie sells the best!) Nelly was so friendly and sweet when she welcomed us! Thank you both very much! And don’t forget the little Caroline! We never hand-fed a turtle before ! We really grew fond of her! Super!!

Fabulous gite in a gorgeous setting.

A gorgeous old stone house with chic updates. We only used 3 bedrooms and they were all comfortable with modern baths. Many places to gather, especially outside. The living room was lovely and welcoming. The farnhouse kitchen was very well supplied. The pool house was to die for and we had cocktails and even dinner there one evening. The views! Gorgeous, with castles and hot air balloons. The hosts live on site and were delightful when we ran across them but very discreet. It definitely felt like “our” property. Nothing negative to say, and we were blessed with fabulous weather! It’s in the heart of the must see towns along the Dordogne, with many restaurants and sights within 5-10 minutes. Beautiful property and location, we had a very peaceful and relaxing week. The pool and hot tub were perfect for cooling off during the day and chilling out at night. Sarlat is a short drive away and handy for restaurants and supermarket runs. The nearest Boulangerie is just 2km away and has great bread and pastries. It was very hot during our visit but Amandine’s place stayed cool inside and was a welcome respite from the heat. Great communication with Amandine from start to finish. Thank you!

A feel good experience! As a previous reviewer said, the property was hard to leave, from the great view down the valley from the elevated deck, to the super comfy, large bed. Without hesitation, would recommend it and the hosts’ hospitality. Diana & Derek

This is a wonderfully unique airbnb in the “rapunzel” tower & i loved it! Others have mentioned the spiral stair climb - it’s real but totally worth the climb. Gorgeous views over old town roof tops, in the midst of beautiful old streets & lovely restaurants (triple thumbs up to la petit auberge - best meal I’ve had in my 3 weeks in france). Good living area & kitchen with balcony (& little washing machine works a treat snd good outdoor area for quick drying). Upstairs another lovely space with bedroom & bathroom. Highly recommend this airbnb.

Spacious, well-equipped, and truly a great location. If you value rest you'll appreciate how quiet and calm Christophe's place is. Sarlat is a lovely town to visit with plenty of great restaurants and lots of little medieval streets to explore. A heads up if you're visiting for the first time that you'll want to rent a car or bike (located about 2km away) if you want to visit any surrounding areas!

The apartment was on the edge of the historic centre and therefore a short walk to sights, shops and restaurants. The sunroom and accompanying view of the garden was very pleasant. Catherine is a superb host, very accommodating and responsive. We really appreciated her pop organising transport to and from the station. Highly recommend.

From the moment we arrived it felt like home away from home, great location in the heart of Serlat, perfect for two couples, plenty of room, any questions asked where answered straight away, we were even able to stay an extra night which was great. Only one critic ! The bathroom with bath would be good if we could gang the shower head up ? That is my only critic, as the bath is amazing 🙂

Excellent tasteful and roomy, two floor, freestanding apartment with windows all round. Within walking distance of the old town. New quality fitout. No dishwasher or washing machine but everything else. Parking is on the quiet street out the front. Top views across the valley out back. Two balconies. Great.

We throughly enjoyed our stay. We were met by Laurent's colleague who showed us how to lock the door from the inside. We didn't realize that locking the door from the outside (and unlocking it) would be such a challenge. But Laurent and his wife were readily available both times we needed instructions. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. In addition to the Nespresso, we appreciated the electric coffee maker with filters provided so we could make a pot of coffee. What stood out- 2 towels plus face cloth per person, the terrace, and a typewritten booklet by the owner with specific info in French and English about the apartment and area. Highly recommend this apartment and we would definitely stay again!

The location was great! Right in the middle of the old town close to shops, restaurants, and the market. Very charming place & well stocked!

Great apartment right in the center of Sarlat's market area! It is very cozy and provides easy access to all the town has to offer. Parking was very convenient nearby as well.

We spent a night in Véronique's apartment to make a stop on the way to our vacation. The apartment is as described, clean and well-equipped with good bedding. The place is quiet and easy to find, on our arrival we were very well received by Véronique and we were able to chat together.

Stephanie was a fantastic host who was a pleasure to meet and taking the time to tell us about all the local places to visit and her apartment was ideally located for walking into Sarlat town centre in just a couple of minutes and it was a very enjoyable 3 day stay, thanks David and Teresa

Pascal welcomed us with friendliness to this accommodation which perfectly matches the description given in the listing. 5 minutes from the historic center of Sarlat, this tastefully decorated apartment has all the comforts you need for a "cozy" stay at Sandrine and Pascal's. We would come back for a future stay in this beautiful Périgord Noir.

My wife and I stayed at this apartment recently for seven nights. Communication with the host, Muriel, was excellent from start to finish. Check in and out was straight forward as Muriel picked us up at the station and her husband dropped us off. The apartment is located in a quiet residential area, only a two or three minute walk from the centre. It is well equipped for making meals, despite not having an oven, has a lovely balcony and is quiet, especially at night. It also has the bonus of an underground parking space although a small car is required. I would certainly recommend this apartment as a base for staying in beautiful Sarlat and visiting surrounding areas.
