Barn holiday rentals in Purbeck District

Ingrids place is probably one of the best airbnbs we have stayed in. The location is idyllic, completely surrounded by fields and chalk streams but villages within walking distance. It has everything, and more, in terms of facilities and equipment. The bed linen was of a high quality which added to a great night sleep ( something I struggle with even at home!). The furniture and decor was stylish but homely. And the garden beautiful. I loved them. Ingrid was so friendly and helpful. We were attending a wedding locally and not only did she help with providing us with a reliable taxi driver but drove us to the venue herself which was so lovely of her. Yes...the track on arrival is a bit precarious but it should not put you off...go slowly and its fine...and well worth it when you get there

We had such a lovely stay at the Potting Shed. The location was beautiful- so peaceful and picturesque. The Airbnb was cosy and the bed was extremely comfy. We were there in 30 degree heat but it was lovely and cool inside. Would highly recommend and would love to come back one day and stay again!

Janey's place was in a lovely, secluded corner of Compton Abbas that provided a true sense of peace and privacy in stunning surroundings, whilst remaining just a short car journey away from town. Our lovely hostess was extremely charming and her Airbnb was full of thoughtful, personal touches throughout the property that made us feel right at home. We could not recommend Janey enough and encourage anyone to consider staying at her place. It's truly one in a million with a beautiful boat accessible lake right on the doorstep and acres of land to explore. Steve & Anna

We had a lovely stay, comfy and a great shower! We loved waking up to see the donkeys, emus, pony and sheep in the morning! The dogs and horses were friendly too! Great central location to visit all the cute villages and main attractions of new forest. Andrea and her son were most helpful and welcoming. Thank you x

Ideal for our weekend stay. The property is spotlessly clean, characterful, homely and well equipped. Wonderfully quiet and in a scenic location with a garden too. Jill was a pleasure to deal with and a lovely, friendly person. We appreciated the eggs, milk etc. You need a car to get there but there is a beautiful riverside walk into Lyme Regis. The directions were excellent and easy to follow from the Uplyme centre.

Great place to stay in the new Forest. Easy access to everything. Great biking, pubs near by and a great accommodation ticking all the boxes. Would definitely recommend. Very welcoming hosts. Friendly and accommodating with some great local knowledge and places to go if needed

We have just returned from a 3 night stay in the lovely 'Nest'. The accommodation was great - nice and spacious. The location was superb - some lovely walks close by. We didn't manage to visit the local pub as it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and we already had some prior arrangements. However, we did have some lovely meals not too far away in Bridport (Platform restaurant and The Bull Hotel) and Poundbury (The Square Bistro) and lots of tea/coffee shops around. Everything about this place is wonderful - lounge, kitchen, bedroom & bathroom - all very comfortable - we would love to stay again. Many thanks.

Nice spacious barn with comfortable bed and outdoor seating area/garden. Good communication and provided some essentials. Both local pubs were nice for drinks as we had already brought some food. Helped us in collecting coats we forgot. Would recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Granary. Its a really beautiful area for walks and we really appreciated the private little garden for our dog. We would have loved to have been able to stay for longer.

Trish and Paul were fantastic hosts; helpful even prior to arrival with local information and check-in info! Any questions or concerns we had were answered extremely promptly and every message was friendly! The space was immaculate and the area is beautiful. Being able to see and feed the animals was wonderful and was one of the highlights of our stay! Grateful for the opportunity to stay here for a night - thank you! X

Really lovely and beautiful done place. Full or interesting things felt very much at home. The garden was so beautifully landscaped was a joy in and out. Very peaceful and we had some gorgeous sunsets!! Will definitely come again as soon as we can.

Catherine was so accommodating a friendly, helping with parking and check in, easy instructions. A beautiful property with all the amenities you could ask for, a perfect stay for a couple and a dog. The garden is beautiful with a sun trap decking with stunning views for miles, a fantastic place to stay, all attractions on cheddar are walkable to no need to take the car out!

We fell in love with the house , location and facilities as soon as we arrived. It had everything we needed , the children loved it , from playing tennis, skittles to bar football and stories by the wood burner before bed. Everything was there for us, a separate table in the games room for arts and crafts and games to lovely comfortable furniture outside looking across to the sheep , the children loved the opportunity to be able to walk around the field with the sheep, with one of them saying "this is the best holiday ever" and another saying " this is the best day of my whole life". We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment! It was exactly as described—clean, stylish, and very comfortable. Everything we needed was provided, making it feel like a true home away from home. The location was also perfect, with easy access to everything we wanted to see and do. Communication with the host was smooth and friendly, and check-in was a breeze. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches and cosy atmosphere.

Mary's barn is an unique place, a real AirBnB full of emotion and real vibes in the countryside of Wight. We loved staying there with our daughters, going to the pub through the green fields, sleeping with birds singing and waking up with horses. Mary is a lovely host. The barn is clean and well equipped. Location is something truly amazing. Thanks for that experience.

Lovely property, Quite spacious with 3 seperate areas: Living room with an electric fireplace, kitchen with a dishwasher and a loft bedroom with king bed. Location is great, about 15 mins walk from town.

We had a wonderful stay at Lockett Farm! The setting is peaceful and beautifully maintained, with lovely countryside views that made for a really relaxing getaway. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our hosts were warm, welcoming, and easy to communicate with nothing was too much trouble, and they made us feel right at home. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of care into making the space feel special.

There are not enough words to do this property and Ava justice . It is truly stunning from its location to the laundered bedsheets , super equipped kitchen and so much more . We were made to feel so welcome . Ava and Chris really do go above and beyond . Our son Archie loved it and was encouraged by Ava to explore and see the cows . He really didn’t want to leave . Honestly we all wanted to stay . If you stay here , you will not be disappointed. We are looking for an excuse to come back

We had a fab time at the Cider House. Eddy was very easy to communicate with. The house was lovely and carefully designed with everything one could need. The house location was perfect, peaceful and secluded.

Gorgeous location, Jo & Gemma were exceptional hosts. All the small touches were so lovely, breakfast options, pizza oven, BBQ and abundance of local recommendations for walks and restaurants. They ensured we had everything we needed for a relaxing few days. Thank you!

Anna was there to greet us soon after we arrived. We had already seen photos of the accommodation and read descriptions, but I can only say it exceeded expectations. Perfect place to spend a week relaxing and exploring locally. The artisan cafe across the road was full of character and delicious homemade food. There is also a well stocked village shop on the northern outskirts. We hope to return. Thank you Anna.
