Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

The 200 year old cottage is set on a quiet country lane in the heart of the Brecon Beacons . ‘The Cwtch’ is an annex on the right side of the property. A private part of the house, it does however share the main entrance only. Its self catering with fridge, microwave toaster and a cooker . Hidden down a cobbled lane, this 18th century workers cottage has oodles of charm. An open fireplace, oak beams and traditional furniture allows you to step back in time and really relax. But there is still the benefit of modern life; wifi and a power shower! There are so many walks in the area: The Brecon canal, river Usk and Crickhowell are all close. Crickhowell has a selection of independent shops, pubs and cafes. Walking guides and maps are provided.
