This is a stunning place secluded away from anything nearby. Great for a retreat to be restful, listen to nature and admire the beautiful horses. Cheila was an incredible host, super responsive to any questions or comments and gave us some beautiful lemons from her tree. The house is really well throughout and all amenities are included. Thank you so much for a beautiful stay. ❤️

A truly memorable stay. The landscape was breathtaking — wildflowers, birdsong, horses, and morning mist over the valley created a dreamlike atmosphere. The spa facilities and infinity pool, set against stunning views, were especially restorative. The cabin is compact but surrounded by natural beauty. We loved waking to the sounds of birds and nearby waterfall — simply idyllic. There was occasional noise from grounds maintenance, but it didn’t detract too much from the overall impression. The host was communicative and flexible with our arrival time. Thoughtful touches like the welcome wine and chocolate cake made us feel right at home. Everything was smooth and easy, and we found some fantastic local restaurants. The surrounding area is full of charm, with quiet walks, friendly people, and views we’ll never forget. We spent our days exploring and simply soaking it all in. This place made us fall in love with Portugal — we’re already looking forward to returning. Thank you!

Spacious, comfortable house with beautiful outdoor space, very pleasant shaded terrace. Good location for visiting Porto and the Douro Valley. "Méandro" restaurant next door, cheap, excellent with splendid views of the Douro. Graça and her husband are welcoming and responsive. The only downside is the presence of barking dogs++ (kennel?). Graça has nothing to do with it, but noise nuisance to report.

It's an incredible place😍 to fully enjoy nature, sleep with the sound of the river in the background and wake up with the beautiful view of the trees. It's spectacular. The cabins are beautiful. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the pool. Manuela is a wonderful host, attentive, very kind and close. We felt at home. I'll definitely repeat the experience.

David was very welcoming and helpful! Very clean place that has everything you need. It was super comfortable and we had a lot of space.

Thank you for this stay was lovely, we drove our car to the property accompanied by Rui and Isabella, only because our car is 4WD, the house is just beautiful, there is no one nearby and very quiet. There are also two bathtubs that need to be heated and enjoyed, it's very cool and relaxing! The house in person is much more cozy and beautiful than in the photos, it is a delight. It was especially nice that when I received a burn through my own fault in the bathroom in the closet there was a burn remedy, this is a very safe and cozy house.

I spent a glorious month at Maria Celeste’s home. It was simply the best place to reset, connect with nature & rest. I’ve never been to a more peaceful home. Freshly squeezed orange juice (from trees) every morning. Lemons for water. A natural spring to swim off hiking grime. Mountains to climb surrounding the entire home. Lizard & butterfly friends. And so so quiet. Maria Celeste picked me up & drove me to the location. Taxi services available to go to town when needed. I can not recommend staying at this home more. If you need some R’n’R, stay. You won’t regret it.

We had an absolutely incredible stay! The house is even better than the pictures, and our host could not have been more wonderful, flexible, accommodating and welcoming. A few highlights that aren’t immediately obvious: fresh bread delivery every morning, kitchen is wonderful and very easy to cook in, charcoal grill outside is fantastic - and lovely for grilling fresh fish in! (ask if fish is available from the local fish monger!). You can also easily do a day trip into Porto from this hidden paradise. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ricardo and his father Mario, or this amazing villa!

Amazing property and view. We had a terrific time. The property worked great for our group. Best sunset! Marco and his crew were extremely responsive. Driving in the Douro Valley is not for the faint of heart. We had a ball!

Staying at Quinta dos Moinhos was truly a dream come true for us. Not only was it the perfect setting for our wedding, but the property and the views were simply unforgettable. The home is absolutely stunning and one of a kind, nestled in a peaceful and picturesque location, with breathtaking views and a rich family history. Every detail of the home is filled with character, and you can feel the care and pride that has gone into preserving the home and the surrounding nature. Diogo was an exceptional host - warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive. He even hopped on a Facetime call so we could see the property firsthand and feel more confident about our decision! Diogo is just a genuinely kind person, and from the moment we arrived he made us feel completely at ease. His hospitality and kindness were especially meaningful during such a special time in our lives. We couldn’t ask for a more special place to celebrate, and we are already looking forward to the day we can return!

Beautiful family cottage in an area that is not so touristy, just outside the well kept town of Cinfaes. Accommodation is rustic but still with all amenities you could want, so it’s perfect. Paulo is very kind and responsive. No issues.

If I could give this 10 stars I would! The pictures do not do the place or the breathless view justice. We were met right at the train station and felt extremely safe as female travelers . A bottle of wine and water were both appreciated touches as a welcome. The place was absolutely spotless and you wake up with gorgeous views out of the window and the door. The host was extremely communicative. We did not have a car and it was absolutely not a problem. We took the train Two days into Pinhao and Peso da Regua which were both easy beautiful rides. We did find even in May reservations are a good idea. The place was so nice that we actually opted to come home both evenings with food We picked up in town and a bottle of wine just to be able to enjoy that atmosphere on the beautiful patio. Will be back for sure! Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tue’s house. It is a great size with good bedrooms and plenty of living space. Ideal for our family of 7. The house is well equipped with plenty to do - swimming pool, bikes, pool table, large garden etc. The local area is very quiet with a good beach and some nice local walks. The weather wasn’t great while we were there, which was unfortunate and meant we couldn’t make full use of the pool etc. but it was great on the sunny days. It could perhaps be improved with some soft covers for the sun beds and maybe another sun umbrella. All in all though we had a great stay.

We had a great time in Afife and enjoyed our stay at Joaos place. The location was very quiet (except the Honda shop across the street in the daytime) and Afife has not much to offer, which was okay for us but should be known in advance if you plan on eating outside. Porto is great to be reached by train and the beach is very close. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms there’s enough space for a big group and everything was very comfortable. The pool was open already and was cleaned during our stay. The only thing which I would point out on the negative side is that when we arrived it smelled a bit mouldy, probably due to the rainy weather and the fact that 3 of the bathrooms don’t have windows. The staircase to the lower part of the house is very steep. That’s a fact you should know when travelling with small kids. Joao was perfect to contact and always responded quickly whenever there were any questions. Thanks for having us. We would totally recommend to stay at his place.

We stayed at Luís' placec as a group of 6 people over a weekend and we were blown away by it! We have used AirBnB as a group for weekend stays for many years now and this might have been the best house we've been to yet. Clean, extremely spacious (more adequate for around 10 people, really), nice pool, with plenty of amenities and little bonuses (such as the very nice small "locker room" by the pool and the small yard surrounding it). The house is fully equipped with the essentials, the WiFi reaches every room and the appliances are modern and well-kept (save for the TV but it's still nice and more than good enough). We had a lovely stay, a great check-in (Ângela was very nice and warm, made sure we got to know the house well) and we definitely want to return in the near future!

Quiet location (which was what we wanted), excellent house, views, spacious (inside and outside/garden), lots of extras/gifts from the host, who was impeccable. I recommend it and we'll possibly return with warmer temperatures.

We had an unforgettable week, and I can’t recommend this place enough. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful setting and views of the river. The highlight for us was definitely the infinity pool it overlooked the river and the kids spent hours in it We took full advantage of the paddleboards and kayaks provided. The river was calm and we paddled out most afternoons/evenings when it was a bit cooler. The accommodation was spotless and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hosts were friendly and helpful, offering great tips on boat trips and vineyards to explore. Thank you for letting us stay and hoping to visit again next year
