Shepherds hut holiday rentals in River Tamar

We had the best time here! Penny and Ant were so welcoming and kind. They gave us maps and recommended nice walks in the area which was so helpful. The shepherds hut itself was perfect, really cosy with the wood fire stove and great selection of games. It has everything you need, nice hot shower and Penny provides delicious breakfast food and scones. Such a special place, can’t recommend enough!

We had a lovely stay at the Shepard’s hut. It had everything we needed, in a great location, perfect for a local getaway. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

This is a unique place.. you have to like wild and back to basics.. I stayed in the circus trailer. I wasn’t sure what to expect and was worried at first at the slightly tired appearance. But once the fire was lit, the fairy lights were on it was perfect. The most comfortable bed with the greatest view from it. Tea making facility and somewhere to charge my phone. Toilet and shower block were spotless, the shared kitchen and use of fridge and cookers was great. Fire pit and wood supplied and it was the most amazing dark space. The view of the stars, ISS and starlink were the best I’ve ever seen. I stayed here so I could walk the SWCP and it’s a 15-20 min walk to Polperro from the site so it was perfect. I would stay here again. This is definitely a wild, back to basics place to stay but I loved it. Matt was super helpful and responded quickly to any questions.

This is our 5th time staying at The Glade. Myself, my son and our pooch love it there. Its so private, quiet and i love to sit amongst the wildlife and bird watch. A nice walk in the woods right beside the hut or just a chilled swing in the hammock. It is our favourite place to unwind. I love how everytime we visit the surroundings look different with the ever changing wildlife. It is as beautiful in winter and rain as it is in the sun and summer. Autumn has to be my favourite. Juliet is a lovely host and is not intrusive in the slightest. However she is very responsive if you need anything. We had a lovely chat this time whilst i was sat bird watching and she told me about a few birds she had seen. What can i say if you need to unwind then this is the place. Comfortable, quiet, homely and warm.

Will and Gill were amazing hosts. We had an issue where we lost our car key while on a beach walk and they could not have been more helpful. Regarding the shepherd's hut itself, it was everything we hoped for. More spacious than appears I'm the photos and was more than enough room for two adults , two kids and a dog. Nicely furnished and well kitted out, it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Hot tub was a big hit with kids and adults alike. Very private and peaceful with large field for the dog to run around , it really had everything. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

Been coming here for the last 3 years,we go to the ROYAL Cornwall show lovely set up ,we stayed here for 3 nights,we had the pleasure of meeting Ginny lovely lady ,we will be back again next year.

The stay in Rosie was absolutely fantastic. Kim was very friendly and went out of her way to make a cake for my birthday. Rosie was amazing the bed was so comfortable me and my partner had an amazing sleep, She kept cooking supplies in there and toiletries for us, there was even a portable stove which was amazing. We felt very comfortable and settled in immediately. The drive was very large and secure for our car to be parked. The area surrounding was also beautiful as the views are something you cannot forget, she had ducks and chickens snd two beautiful dogs who we played with, she went out of her way to supply us homemade jams and even offered for us to have chicken and duck eggs. If we ever wanted to go back to Cornwall, we would definitely stay again. thank you Kim

Great little hut, everything we needed in a great location, so peaceful. Easy to find with the great instructions from Gill! The outside area was beautiful too, very private you would never know you are in someone's garden. Thanks for everything

We had a lovely few days staying in the hut. The location is beautiful and surrounded by wildlife, it was so peaceful sitting outside taking in the scenery. The hut was well equipped and cozy, perfect for our vacation. Amanda and her husband were very welcoming and it was a lovely touch that they had the hot tub ready to use that evening. We couldn’t have asked for a better holiday destination! We will definitely be coming again.

Great place, highly recommend!! Gary was a fantastic host, who instantly made us feel right at home. The shepherds hut was amazing, in a quiet spot with no noise. It was my partners birthday so they provided some amazing extra’s to arrive to, as well as some homemade cookies. If you’re visiting Cornwall, stay here - you won’t be disappointed!

A lovely shepherd hut, finished to a high standard. The wood fired hot tub was so relaxing, worked well. A peaceful and tranquil place to stay, and host Nikki kept us well informed to make sure our break went smoothly. We loved it there

Thank you Pauline for letting us stay at your Awesome Shepherds hut and the use of the beautiful summer house.. equipped with TV, comfy chairs. Outside of the summer house lovely table and chairs to dine. The Shepherds hut was perfect, large shower and toilet all squeaky clean. All other amenities in the hut perfect. Pauline a wonderful host, friendly and very informative... asking if we needed more pillows for my aching back! Wood burner all ready to light, but we didn't need to as we were very cosy and warm. The Shepherds hut is ideally situated for exploring Cornwall.. beaches and moors. Would thoroughly recommend staying here. We will be back! Thanks once again

my boyfriend and I had such a lovely time staying here to celebrate my 20th. lucy, the host, is an absolute gem! she's absolutely lovely, showed us round the property and made us feel right at home. we ran into an issue while there but it was fixed up right away and she was even kind enough to give us a complimentary bottle of wine for the inconvenience which we enjoyed in the hot tub! the place was super clean with lots of added amenities to keep you busy. the views are also absolutely stunning and the whole trip just felt so peaceful, definitely what we needed after a stressful uni year! we would love to come back soon, we had such a memorable time and thank you so so much for everything! :)

We have just stayed here and it was amazing ( we stayed here again last year)! Would 100% recommend ! Everything you needed in this beautiful Shepard's hut and so peaceful. Can walk into Perrenporth easier on the walk down the hill. Anneli was so helpful and great with communication. Thank you for making our stay just brilliant

The Shepard’s hut was the perfect, quiet and rural stay we needed to switch off from our busy lives! The Shepards Huts are set in the woodland area of the hosts drive, but far enough away from each other and their home. They are cosy, private and peaceful. Abbie has placed lots of small things that have a real homely touch. From board games to tea, milk and cakes which were left for us on arrival. (Always a win!). The hut is in a brilliant location with lots of popular towns and village's being only 20/30 minutes drive. We drove to Watergate Bay and for an evening dog walk along the beach and take away pizzas one evening. It only took a 20 minuet drive and I highly recommend as it was an amazing sunset! Although the Hut is set back from the local village, you could easily walk there. There is a small village pub, shop and a takeaway I really can’t fault this place and highly recommend to anyone booking a stay here. Thank you for having us and we will hope to come back again!

Bliss ✨ Little Bear is a magical place. Private and peaceful with picturesque views and sounds of bird song. The perfect place to relax and recharge. We felt very much at home here and hope to return one day.

Perfect holiday location in a beautiful and immaculate shepherds hut. Everything you needed was there and the lovely outside garden nook was a wonderful extra. Andrea & Tom were super helpful and responded quickly. Highly recommend

Lovely few days stay at the cabin. We probably spent most of the time on the porch looking out into the woodlands. Everything was as described. It was an incredibly peaceful place to unwind. Would be more than happy to visit again. Communication was excellent. Many Thanks!

This is out 7th stay at Jackie's place and this time was for our minimoon after our wedding on the Saturday and Jackie and Johnny did us proud again, left some balloons, flowers, fizz and a lovely card for our wedding day. We had such a relaxed and stress free break, can't wait to go back again. Thanks again ❤️

An absolutely wonderful shepherd’s hut!! We loved roasting marshmallows on the fire pit and stargazing from the hot tub! Jen was so lovely and thoughtful, and even decorated the hut with a birthday banner and balloons for my partner’s birthday! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a cosy, private, and peaceful holiday in the middle of the countryside. We can’t wait to come back!
