Le séjour et la cuisine sont aussi à leur disposition pour une cuisine rapide… la terrasse plein sud et le jardin leur offrent la possibilité de manger dehors ou prendre le soleil sur la terrasse. Enfin tous les ingrédients sont là pour passer un agréable séjour apaisant et reposant…

Gîte de l'Abbaye d'Etrun and its green park

The cottage is the oldest house in the village, it guarded the entrance to the Abbey of the Benedictines of Etrun. The Abbey was founded in 980 and destroyed during the revolution in 1789. The whole has been listed as a Historic Monument. In 1815 Cardinal De La TOUR d'AUVERGNE decided to build his "Summer Residence" of which the surrounding walls still exist, as well as some period elements. In 1915, General Pétain made it his headquarters and commanded the Battle of Artois from these places.

We welcome you to our 2 accommodations in a quiet area surrounded by greenery, but very close to major cities, Lille 20 minutes, Lens 25 minutes, Arras 30 minutes. The building is independent of our house. On the ground floor are the living room, toilet and kitchen and upstairs the bedroom with bathroom. Breakfast option is possible at €10 per person. We are 3 km from the Phalempin forest. For work, the highway is 7 minutes away. I look forward to welcoming you😁.
