Woody’s is only 30 minutes from Madison Heights and 37 minutes from downtown Lynchburg.

This is the perfect travel location to escape the big city, explore the beautiful National Parks and attractions, or visit for a weekend getaway. Access the Blue Ridge Parkway, visit Natural Bridge, or head over to the incredible Virginia Safari Park. Stay here for trips to W&L, VMI, or SVU. A perfect place for a quick stop or extended stay.

Little Gallery House Near Natural Bridge

The Little Gallery House, near Natural Bridge, is part of an old Civilian Conservation Corps Camp, then juvenile detention center, now a campground and artist community, called Thunder BRidge. There are 100 acres to explore, bordering the Jefferson National Forest, with hiking trails and just 2 miles from the James River. This would be an ideal place for family to meet if some of you want to camp and others would like a real house. There is a queen bed and a day bed.

Enjoy our rustic, cozy, historic log cabin in the woods on 21 acres with two streams and a little meadow. The logs, from the 1800's, were reconfigured 17 years ago combining a rich history with high speed internet and modern amenities. Sink into the luscious bed with totally organic sheets, mattress topper, and pillows. Take a walk on the original wagon train road down to a stream or bath your senses in the majestic view of Jump Mountain from the meadow.
