Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Rodanthe

We had a great stay at Toes in the Sand. It was even better than pictured. I was originally worried from the photos that maybe you couldn’t see the ocean from the main living floor, but you absolutely can see the ocean from nearly everywhere in the house. It’s lovely. Such a charming house, quiet, beautiful beach, and near enough to groceries, gas, and anything else you’d need. Also, had a great Oceanside dinner at Fish Heads <30 min north! This was our first time in the Outer Banks and we loved this cottage for our family of five. It was convenient, clean, had a great kitchen, very cute, wonderful views of the beach and ocean, and the deck had a walkway over the dunes right to the beach. The location was close to grocery stores and other amenities. Diane provided beach chairs and an umbrella and the deck had a shower to clean up before going back in. All of this made our stay here easy, relaxing, and fun. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Kite's Inn was exactly as advertised and more. The home is beautiful, well-furnished, and the kitchen was well-equipped. We loved the location with great views of the Pamlico Sound. The House was ideal for pets and small children. The grass yard allowed our dogs to play outside and to swim in the Sound without having to worry about stepping on burs and the beach was ideal for our 1 1/2 year old grand child. The house is easy walking distance to nearby attractions and restaurants. Joshua is a great host who was responsive and proactive with ideas when we had a rainy day.

Great house for my family of 3. Very comfortable beds and lots of thoughtful little extras (spices, full complement of kitchen utensils, et.). We really enjoyed our stay here and the host was super responsive and friendly!

My wife and I stayed here for a getaway week. The house was very clean and as advertised. We were happy to see a larger couch than in the photos and a TV in the one bedroom. We would come again!

This was my first time ever booking an Airbnb and it did not disappoint. The hosts were very friendly and understanding. The place was clean and felt at home. I had the maximum of people we could have and we had plenty of space in the house! Definitely would book again!

Very nice place to stay for a small family and friends gathering. Not having been before, the location is remote and if you have teenagers it might seem far away from things that teens like to do. We loved that we could wake up and see the beach and easily walk to the beach. It’s remote but there are neighbors and a few places near by to get groceries and get a meal. Overall, a lovely stay and we would come back again.

Great quiet space and ideal location right next to Jockey’s Ridge that’s walkable to the Sound, would definitely stay here again!

Had a great stay in Kill Devil Hills. The place was clean, comfortable, and matched the listing well. Jason and Crystal were excellent hosts—welcoming, respectful, and easy to deal with. They were also understanding and responsive when needed, which made the experience smooth from start to finish. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a solid spot in the area.

The house was very pretty and comfortable. It's close to a lot of restaurants and things to do. Katie is great and made checking in and out a breeze.

We stayed one night to celebrate our anniversary. It was a lovely studio apartment with many special small touches! We loved the bed….super comfortable. Make sure that you are aware that the shower is outside, though! It’s not an indoor shower, so be ready to shower outside! We loved the peaceful quiet neighborhood with really old, beautiful trees!

Amanda was super accommodating and the place was so cute! It’s a short walk from the beach and close to the pier. Amanda recommended local food spots and the area was great. Enjoyed my stay 😊

Mark’s place was really great. He greeted us when we got there. He responded very quickly if we had any issues. The house was not far from the beach and we had a blast. We will definitely stay here again when we come again.

This place was great! Everything you could possibly want was included in the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms. The beach access was just as it was described. The storage unit had everything you would need to enjoy the beach. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it.

Clean and cozy retreat on Roanoke Island. Beautifully decorated. Spotlessly clean. Walking distance to Waterfront Theatre and Fort Raleigh Historical Site. Quick drive to downtown. We loved it!

Beautiful condo that is right on the water. The view from the balcony is worth staying at this condo. There is easy beach access and the condo is clean. It is the perfect size and location for a beach getaway. Gene is extremely friendly and responsive as well.

Sara’s place was a perfect location of walking to the beach. Accommodations were clean, bright and tastefully decorated and communication went well. The beds are Very Firm which was a little hard to get used to but all in all it was a great stay!!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully updated and nicely appointed condo on Roanoke Island. The views of the Pamlico Sound were absolutely stunning—especially at sunrise with a cup of coffee in hand. The location was perfect, just a short drive to great restaurants and the Lost Colony outdoor show. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked with all the basics we needed for cooking. We also loved the spacious dining and living area—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Highly recommend!
