Smoking friendly holiday rentals in Roosevelt Island

Had a great stay and also was flexible with the checkout place was clean and quiet, and it felt comfy like I was at home or I was visiting a family member’s house

We had such a fabulous time staying here! It was an easy commute to both NYC and Sports Illustrated Stadium, and parking was very easy. I was traveling with my grandmother, and Christina was very proactive and reached out to make sure she would be able to climb all the stairs, which was incredibly thoughtful! The space was very clean and felt more spacious than I expected. I would definitely recommend Christina’s place to anyone looking to stay in the area!

We had a wonderful visit over NYE! It was so easy to get the ferry or an Uber to get into NYC. The view from the apartment is fantastic and the apt itself is comfortable. We would definitely stay again ☺️.

Awesome host and place!

Our stay was great ! The place is just like described in the photos ! Dayana is a great host and was quick to respond to all my queries and provided me with extra essentials when requested for ! The area has restaurants and grocery stores nearby too ! The driveway is bit narrow for parking a standard size SUV in the garage in the backside of the rental unit. But we were able to park it with no issues !

Julia and Alan are wonderful hosts. From the beginning we felt very comfortable and loved the apartment set up. This home is situated close to all shopping malls and restaurants, as well as hospitals and doctors offices (which is where we needed to go). We felt very safe here and were able to enjoy the peace and walkability of the neighborhood. A park and walking path is located very nearby, as well, and we took advantage of that during the time we spent here. When we needed some down time, the hosts offered privacy, but were there if we needed anything or just wanted to talk. We even shared a meal together around the holidays which was very festive. This apartment is exactly like the pictures on the website and is very clean and well stocked. If we needed to return to this area, this Airbnb would be the first place we would go to! Very comfortable older home. Understand that this is the owner's actually home, not a typical airbnb rental. As part of the arrangement, we took care of Emily's two cats while she was away; the kitties are friendly and pretty much independent (feed them dry food, fill water, clean the litter); they'll hang out and sit next to you on the couch in the evening. If you're not into kitties, just don't stay here. My granddaughter got to play with Emily's son's toys. I made use of the kitchen to bake pies for our family holiday gathering. Did not get to use the grounds (porch or yard), bc it was frigid cold this December. We all enjoyed the lovely Christmas tree set up in the living room. Emily was flexible about check-in/checkout times too. Thank you, Emily. >^..^<

Pedro's place is immaculate. Cannot say enough, Very tidy, clean and homey and most of all Pedro is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He goes over an beyond for his guest. I have been using Airbnb for 13 years, this is my first time encountering such a welcoming host. Thank you Pedro! Will definitely be back.

Defina was amazing! We had issues with the place with some of the electricity and she helped us immediately as well as was quick in responding. She was even kind enough to give us a return on a credit for the issue. The breakfast was awesome and more than expected. More than enough for the entire family. Only reason there were some stars were not filled was because the neighborhood was quite dangerous. Don’t walk around the area, straight in and out from the uber to the house.

I enjoyed my stay. This location was ideal and the inside and the backyard was gorgeous. Was enough space for us and the hosts were very friendly, responsive and accommodating. Def will rebook here when I need some time away!

We had such a wonderful stay. Philip’s place was just as listed in the listing. The view was incredible! Gio was such a big help with directions, navigating the bus route (which was super easy), and recommending places to eat. We would 100% stay again.

It’s honestly a great place to stay. The only issue is parking. Definitely gotta make time and plan that out . Other then that perfect stay 👌

This stay was great in location and inside. It was comfy and clean. No issues at all throughout the stay and practical location.

Your best bet to explore NY. We happened to spend a long weekend and found Alex’s place just perfect. Its location is amazing, within walking distance to Central Park, many restaurants and supermarkets, and close to the public transport. The room and bed were comfy, and the flat super well equipped which allowed us to cook breakfast and meals. The host was most gracious, instructions were always clear and allowed us to store our bags so we could take advantage of our time in the city. 100% recommended!

this is the spot to crash in if planning a trip to brooklyn. beautiful clean inside, spacious room with windows and a private patio is all you can ask for. easy access to apt and close to a near sub station to get around the city too. definitely booking room again if the opportunity is there.

Lee is wonderful - friendly, welcoming, communicative, (even when I wasn't!) The room is clean, fresh, cool, (we were there during a heatwave and it was honestly a haven of coolness!) The private courtyard is understated! It's a huge enclosed and peaceful yard just for the guests of this room. Although Lee lives there, we had a lot of privacy. It was very quiet, we felt very comfortable. And the rare occasion when we dis see Lee and his beautiful dog, Dahlia, was a bonus! Great location for enjoying the local area, Bushwick, and a quick L Train ride to Manhattan. Thoroughly recommend. Thanks Lee, for sharing your lovely home with us :)

Eleonora’s place? Absolutely perfect. The location is ideal—right in the heart of Greenpoint, Brooklyn— quiet, clean, spacious, and full of charm. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The garden is a peaceful little oasis, perfect for unwinding after a day in the city. There’s so much to explore in the neighborhood, and Eleonora and Ben were the perfect hosts: friendly, responsive, and full of fantastic local recommendations. We were in town for a two-day music event, so our time was limited—but thanks to their great advice, we made the most of it. Can’t wait to come back for a longer stay!
