Welcome to Avontuur - the Ark for Healing, Wellbeing and Inner Growth. A historic clipper located in the heart of the city center of Rotterdam, one of the most exciting cities in the world for travelers! Avontuur is more then just a lodging space, it is an experience. Johannes

This ship from 1886 used to be part of the Dutch sailing inland waterway, which was used to transport many building materials and foodstuffs. The Johannes has now been converted into a houseboat, of which three floors of the wheelhouse have been furnished for those of you who like to spend the night in the center of Amsterdam but also appreciate some peace and quiet. Cozy street & super central. You will stay privately in the back of the ship, which used to be the wheelhouse and engine room.

Artist, architect and explorer Wijnand Otto Jan Nieuwenkamp designed it as both a houseboat and a studio. The ship is fully equipped and is now available as accommodation.

This nice houseboat apartment is located in a cargo boat from 1907 in the old Amsterdam harbor of the 16th century. The boat is moored in between the oldest part of the historic city centre and the modern architecture of the Oosterdok Island, between Central Station and the Technology Museum. The boat and the surrounding boats form a quite little village right in the center of town. Central heating makes the apartment nice and warm in the winter.
