The host was amazing. I spoke with her prior to booking as I had a late flight and she agreed to allow me late check in. When my flight was delayed an hour and a half she communicated with me throughout the evening and still allowed me to check in. Once I arrived she gave me a tour and tips on the neighborhood. The apartment was cozy clean and had all I needed for my brief stay. Neighborhood was safe and quiet. All in all I would definitely stay again if traveling alone.

What kind hosts! The apartment is just as described: basement 1 bedroom with 3/4 bath. The apartment is very well equipped with laundry and lots of kitchen amenities. For me the location couldn't be more convenient. I would stay here again.

Awesome experience

The room we stayed in was large, clean, and comfortable (exactly as described). Honestly, this has been one of my favorite places that I've stayed in thanks to Airbnb, and better than some of the hotels I've stayed in in NYC. The snacks and beverages were a wonderful addition to the stay. They were great hosts, and we were given a great deal of privacy. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay.

Highly recommended for travelers visiting the area. Easy to find, close to bus & train. Ray is an accessible and friendly host. Accommodations good (comfy bed, spacious room, wireless; easy access to bathroom & kitchen).

My daughter (17yo) and I loved: - the accessibility of Ray's place to the subway! Superb! - Ray's genuine concern about our comfort! There was a slight miscommunication at the start as regards the room but Ray was quick to make up with the situation. This is a place I would highly recommend!

This was my first time using AirBnB and it's a great experience. Charles is a great host. The place was beautifully well kept and comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet. His place is very convenient to/from the subway and the Mall at Bay Plaza. The next time I stay in the Bronx, this is the place to book.

Room was exactly as described. The check in time was till 8/9 pm but Belkis went out of her way to accommodate our arrival at 11.30. I couldnt find street parking and she drove with me and made sure I found a safe spot to park my car even though it was very late at night. Very convenient location - about 1-2 blocks away from the subway and local shops.

She was so sweet and the apartment was pretty clean and neat. The bed so much comfortable than my own lol and she really gave me and my boyfriend our own space. Did not bother us not even once. Wifi, cable, comfortable space, clean, affordable. What more could you want?!

Great place - another home away from home!

The accommodation and the shared bathroom is very clean and there is a tub with shower and warm water. There are also clean towels. The bed is very large, cozy and there are cuddly linens with pillows. For breakfast there is toast, butter, sweet bread spread and cornflakes. The kitchen is very large, very well equipped and there is a huge fridge. The accommodation is only one block (less than 5 minutes walk) from the nearest metro. The Metro runs every 7 minutes to Mannhatten. The landlord Mark is there every morning and helps gladly with all questions and is also so very sociable. He also responds very quickly to every email. The WLan works well. The house has a door code, so you come into the house at any time, even at a late arrival time. Unfortunately, the room has only a roof window but since you are usually always on the road, is not bad.

We had a great time at marks house and despite concerns about the area in the first time, we actually felt very safe.

I enjoyed the stay in Mark's apartment very much. The room, the bathroom and the kitchen just looked exactly like the pictures, which were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also very satisfying, basically he offered all the things you need. Mark always replied messages quickly and is willing to answer any kind of question. I will definitely choose Mark's apartment if I visit New York again.

This was our second visit to Dave and Shaceline's place! Simply amazing is my first thoughts. It's like coming home. Great stay

Second time staying at the apt and it was as pleasant as the first time. Dave and Shaceline are great hosts. I have a third stay booked already what can I say?!!!!

Dave and Shaceline's place was great! The place looks exactly like the pictures, it is very clean and private. Dave was very quick to respond our texts and made check in super easy! He was also very helpful and informative. The only thing to bear in mind, is that the express bus to the city is $6.50 each way and they only take coins or the weekly pass. So if your interest is to go to Manhathsn it will take you an hour if you do regular buses and subway. Other than that, we couldn't be happier with our stay!

I planned this trip as a surprise for my husband and Dave and Shaceline were SUPER helpful through the whole process. I even messaged them while out and about on the trip and they gave great recommendations. Parking was perfect. I felt very safe in the neighborhood. Even though the commute to the city was long, the bus stop was either across the street or at the end of the block, so very convenient . I loved sitting out back even in the cold. We were just excited to be in NY. Thank you again!!

Charles is a great host. My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights and Charles was very helpful with the subway and he was very accommodating to our needs. He also checked on us to make sure if we were okay when we were out late at night, which made my friend and I (who are both young women in our late teens) feel much safer about exploring New York. He's a very kind man and his apartment was very clean.

I think it is the best place to stay if you are visiting for short or longer period of time. It is located close to metro station, grocery stores are very close. I experienced positive energy in his place. Host is very generous and down to earth. He will make you feel comfortable and help you fully. Will give 10 on 10.

The place is nice : very clean and well-located. We liked the neighborhood (cheap grocery stores but you might wanna speak spanish!), it's very close to a big metro station (regular train, express train and metro) which allows to come and leave directly from a lot of places in Manhattan. The place is a little bit noisy (train making weird noises at night and siren from ambulances and cops more frequent than in Staten Island) but I guess it's kinda normal for the district. Great value for restricted-budget people, I absolutely recommand it !

Charles was very kind and welcoming to us traveling to NYC. Kitchen access was appreciated, especially with the high cost of breakfast in the city. Guests are provided with all they need, the place is clean and the 4 and 5 trains stop nearby riding to downtown Manhattan. The building is old and the neighborhood is quiet, but the area is safe with a target nearby (open until 12am) for groceries. We would recommend Charles' place to friends and stay there again.

Our one night stay was everything we needed thanks to Danny's clean, comfortable and vast space. This being our first stay with Airbnb, we didn't know what to expect, but everything was as described; we're beyond satisfied with the way everything worked out. This is a really good choice! A brand new apartment fully aquipped with computer, big screen TV and a fully aquipped kitchen. Twenty minutes from Times Square with train in a realy quite area. Kerry, the owner, is a wonderfull girl. Serviceminded, helpfull and really a big help with everything you need. We stayed for ten days and enjoyed every minute so my advice to everyone who want to visit NY and are looking for a firdt class accommodation. Book this!

Kerry's home was absolutely beautiful and just as pictured. Her communication was extraordinary and she made sure we were great during our stay, she even left us water, candy and cake. The home didn't have a broom and she made sure we brought us one. She was quick with her responses to our questions. It was my birthday week and I asked her about the nearest store that I could Purchase balloons from and before my stay she made sure to check out locations around her neighborhood. I would definitely recommend staying here and I would definitely stay again!

Sarah, Junior and the whole family (+ precious, ,lion and princess) were super kind and nice to me during my whole stay. They even fed me a delicious dinner when I arrived and that was my first Carribean meal experience :) The room was very clean, complete and comfortable. Tha bathroom was also very clean and big. I would definitely recommend their place to anyone who needs a safe and clean place to stay in the bronx. They are superhosts after all! :)

Stayed for one night before an interview. It is very close by the train for easy access. Had to deduce which house it was, but Sarah happily met me at the door and let me in. Everyone was welcoming, and Sarah was great at helping me figure out when I should leave in the morning with traffic in mind. It was an easy stay, basic room with all amenities available, comfy bed, and overall great value. Would stay again!

Very comfortable and cozy place. It had a clean bathroom and good basic facilities. It is about 20 mins by uber to the Jacobi center. So it was perfect for me.

Sarah and Junior were both welcoming and warm hosts who were happy to share there space with me, for which I was very grateful. The room was spacious and I had access to a private bathroom. They were very helpful and willing to provide directions and helpful hints about the city. I greatly enjoyed my time here. It was very easy to get around because the train stop was only a block away. I was able to sleep in peace and quiet and enjoy their company in the living room whenever I chose. It's a very nice house and they are wonderful people.

I booked this place for my girlfriend and she really enjoyed her stay. Sarah and her husband were very accommodating and made themselves available. They made my girlfriend felt right at home. Sarah was really welcoming and I felt very much at home. Her house is very close to Woodlawn station which was really convenient. The bedroom is very comfortable and cool when it's warm outside. All my needs were catered for, even an ironing board and iron which was handy! I had a great stay and I couldn't recommend Sarah's home enough.

We had a really good time in Shully's place ! The apartment was very clean and comfortable. With the subway station very close to the apartment, the trip to Manhattan takes approximately 45 min. It's also close to all amenities (laundry, foodmarket...). Shully and her husband were very friendly and available if needed.

Shully is a very good hostess, warm and welcome, even left food in the refrigerator. She always got back to our messages quickly, was very accommodating for our late than expected arrival time. She and her husband went out of their way helping us to secure a parking space near the apartment, which made our moving around town much easier. It got cold on the first night of our stay, and she provided a space heater the next day. Her prompt response was really appreciated.

Always a pleasure staying at Shully's apt, very welcoming and attentive to your questions or needs. If you're looking for a quiet neighborhood but still want to be close to commercial area this place is ideal. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is considering staying here.

She always replied quickly and had excellent advice to offer about transportation, directions, etc. Her space was everything it promised to be - cozy and charming, and very conveniently located near the #2 train. It's a bit of a hike to get into Manhattan (about an hour by train), but it's a very affordable value if you can make time to consider the commute. I would definitely recommend this listing, and indeed would prefer to book it again myself for future trips.

Yes, Shully was very nice and very helpful with accommodations. Her place was clean and nice and we liked that there was air conditioning both in the living room and in the bedroom. It was an extra treat to have food available to us in the fridge always a great thing to have when you are traveling and on the run. Would definitely stay here again.

The landlord is very polite and friendly, goodwife is long distance lovers, deeply loves the life of a family, the room is very clean, excellent geographical location can be a few minutes walking distance to the subway, it was great! This wonderful experience make me very happy, like to live with their families!

The room was absolutely clean and comfortable and the house is really close to subway. Francisca and her husband Abraham are exceptionally kind and warm-hearted people. They were willing to help us with everything and made us to feel as at home. We very enjoyed an evening in their company. We wish we could spend more time with them.

Everything was perfect ! Totally nothing to complain ! Plus the place is very safe and close to subways ! Hosts were amazingly lovely. If you need anything you can ask Abe or Francisca, they know perfectly the city and can show you what to visit, they are true New-Yorkers !

Awesome host...very friendly, amicable, and helpful. I felt like I lived in a hotel for a week with a Samsung T.V, new towels, clean linens and sheets, comfortable pillow and spacious room. You won't regret living here
