    Wonderful 1br apartment located in the heart of Elmwood Village. Elmwood village is a prime location. The apartment is within walking distance of many stores, large parks, coffee shops, restaurants, and the best bars/nightclubs Buffalo has to offer. This is the perfect location for anyone exploring Buffalo's great attractions.
    Cozy and naturally lit 1br apartment. The apartment is located in a busy area, but because the apartment is located inside an apartment building, it will not be noisy. This building also has a parking lot for your vehicles. And for those who will not have access to a vehicle, this apartment has access to many public bus routes that can take you all over the city of Buffalo, from our Down Town newly renovated Canal Side, to our wonderful Galleria Mall.
    Elmwood village as well as Allentown are also known for its Art and music. Allentown is loaded with many bars and eateries, including it's most noted LGBTQ community. These two areas are where majority of locals go to hangout. Also 15 mins away driving is Buffalo's wonderful Zoo and Hertel Ave, which is located in what is considered to be Buffalo's little Italy.

    The property is in the heart of Allentown. You can walk downtown, or to the new UB Medical School and hospitals. If it's further, the subway stop is just around the corner. Our place is great for couples, solo adventurers, or business travelers. You are renting one large room (12x27) and tiled bathroom (small fridge, but no cooking facilities), that you access from an exterior building door. Nothing shared with other tenants.
    The property was built in 1852, making it one of the older buildings in Buffalo. You control both the heat in winter, and air conditioning during the summer. The apartment has direct access to the outside, no shared hallway. Makes it ideal for a quick stop if you're crossing the country with a dog (seems like we get a lot of Boston to Chicago type one night stays...with a dog or two!).

    In a diverse, urban neighborhood on the rebound, in the center of the city, within an easy walk of Buffalo's best and most historic neighborhoods including Millionaire's Row, Olmsted Parks, Forest Lawn Cemetery, museums, chic shopping district, great restaurants, with easy access to public transportation, 5-10 minutes from downtown by car. This 100 year old arts and crafts house was designed by one of Buffalo's leading architects at the time. Personal tours of the area are available as well as transportation to/from downtown, airport, bus or train station. Free parking is easily available on the street for guests. We have two rooms. Our other room is listed as Historic Arts and Crafts Paris Room. This is our home, so we'll be in and out. We have one other guest room, so there may or may not be other guests in the home when you are here. The bathroom is shared and we do our best to plan our use around your schedule. Your hosts go to work in the morning but we've never had a problem coordinating our bathroom use with our guests' needs. The BnB is 21 year-old Marivi's business. Until August of 2015, Marivi ran the business and was the world's youngest AirBnB host. Now that she's at Duke University, John, her Dad, runs the business for her. The income goes to support her extra college related expenses and volunteer causes that Mom and Dad can't afford. She takes her role as the business owner and innkeeper very seriously and is committed to making your experience in Buffalo the best it can possibly be.
    We live in a very diverse, friendly neighborhood centrally located near many different city attractions including Elmwood Village, Delaware Park, Delaware Avenue, and ten minutes via car from Downtown. This is an old, urban neighborhood on the rebound, in the center of the city which most people find charming. Please note: always include the ZIP CODE (14209) when entering the address into a GPS to take you to our home. Without the zip code, you will end up at the wrong address in a neighborhood not as nice as ours!

I stayed for over a month and I had the best and comfortable time, the hosts are amazing couple who care about you like your own family member and at the same time taking care of your privacy well. They have an amazing little dog who is an absolute sweetheart. I would highly recommend their place. This place is walking from Delaware park so location is great too.

  • This is a fantastic place to stay in Buffalo: attractive mid-20th century style in a 19th c. carriage house, every comfort, ease in eating in, clean, quiet. Excellent location. We parked the car in the carriage house and walked everywhere--Kleinhan's Music Hall for Philharmonic concert, meetup at First Presbyterian Church for stained glass bus tour, great food at Black Sheep and Bread Hive, grand views from observation deck at Buffalo City Hall, and architecture strolls through wonderful residential and skyscraper areas.

    This 1st floor Loft features an open living space combining the kitchen & living room when you first enter. A separate bathroom is off the kitchen & the bedroom is just outside of that. Large windows in the living area & bedroom provide ample natural light along with window coverings when not wanted. This is a multi-unit building with permanent tenants in the upper and front apartments. Noise is typically low as the spaces are well insulated and the brick structure is a natural sound barrier.
    This loft has a fully stocked kitchen with everything you'll need to prepare and serve a meal. The kitchen's open floor plan allows for plenty of room to cook and flows into the living area. Both of have dark hardwood floors, 10ft ceilings & exposed brick that really compliment the space and helps give that lofty vibe. The sofa doubles as a 2nd bed and pulls out to the equivalent of a FULL. The bathroom is off this space which has a nice jacuzzi tub for soaking and relaxation, large vanity/mirror & also stacked washer/dryer if you wish to wash during your stay (complementary detergent is provided) Off the kitchen is the separate bedroom with hardwood floors, 10ft ceilings and exposed brick as well you'll find a nice queen size bed, dresser, walk-in closet & stand up mirror. Both bedroom and living room have air conditioning units that can be set independently from each other.
    The neighborhood we are located in is unique, as the surrounding area is residential but also mix use retail, entertainment and light industrial. We are 1 block away from Larkin Square where any given day of the week can be rented out for weddings, private parties or public events. In the summer every Tuesday is food truck Tuesday starting around 4pm. Dozens of Buffalo's food trucks line the square with free live entertainment and activities for all ages Other events consist of bicycle racing, seasonal festivals and live music concerts many of which are free with the occasional paid entrance fee. Although it sounds like a lot, these neighborhood activities are not everyday and rarely impede with local residents and many of the events are wrapped up by 9pm in most cases. We encourage you to check out https://larkinville.com/ to see what events if any may be going on during your stay There are 3 breweries and 4 restaurants in walking distance several of which are just across the street.     The village is great. Countless restaurants and shops. There are a lot of things to do especially in the summer. Thin Man, Aroma, Mythos, Joes Deli, Saigon Cafe, Fierce Fitness, Pilates studio, Boxing studio, Perks Coffee, Bidwell Farmers Market. Take a short Lyft to Canalside or Riverworks.

Access to the iconic Olmstead Park system can be reached at the end of my street with a walking path to the Buffalo History Museum, Hoyt Lake/Marcy Casino, the Albright Knox Art Gallery, The Burchfield Penny Art Gallery & the HH Richardson Complex. The Buffalo Zoo within the spectacular Delaware Park is just two miles straight down the street and a couple blocks away from that is the famous Frank Lloyd Wright's Darwin Martin Complex. The Hertel Ave strip, the Elmwood Village and Allentown are just a few minutes away. Just around the corner from my home you can enjoy live music at Buffalo's best live venue, The Sportsman's Tavern. The Grand Opening of "Chandlerville" including the Thin Man Brewery & Tappo Pizza Restaurant is just one block and an easy walk from my home. An exciting new & burgeoning area. From the moment we walked in , he has accommodated us and made us feel comfortable in every way possible. The Mini-Suite is on the second level-it is adorable, private and cozy. Feels like you have your own apartment ! It is Equipped with a Mini-Fridge (stocked with sparkling water, bottled water, yogurt, applesauce etc), a Keurig With Flavored Creamer & Vast Variety of Coffee Pods. AND.... Snacks!SCONES, FRUIT BARS, BANANAS, APPLES, OREOS, PEANUTS, etc. The futon folds out into a bed & is perfect for kids or a 2nd, 3rd person. My daughter slept there & was very comfortable on it. Se felt like she had her own private area. The pillow top mattress in the bedroom is super comfortable.. Ample storage for clothes in the closet, wall mounted TV, heater, ceiling fan, usb plug for electronics, and get this ....He even has an extra charger if you forgot yours! (Mine has just stopped working) The bathroom is fully stocked with soaps, shampoo,razors, toothpaste and toothbrushes. If there’s anything you need, he is great about providing it ! From John's responsive communication at reservation to meeting me street-side to park the car - this has been hands down the "BEST" Abnb I have ever stayed at. The BEST! His home is located in a unique part of Buffalo. The area is in resurgence with new chic restaurants, breweries, and diverse populations making for a cool "vibe". It is close to many of the beautiful attractions that showoff Buffalo. Great for a one night visit or stay a week or two to see all that the city has to offer. There isn't a thing John has forgotton . . . snacks and drinks to signs that greet you as you enter your private upstairs area. The place is big, I had my own living room, private bathroom with a lot of toiletries, coffee maker, mini fridge (like in a hotel!!), fresh fruits and a lot of snacks. The bed was comfortable and cozy. He left me a welcome note, chocolates and a map as I was going to the Niagara Falls. He has everything into account so you can have all you need and more.     If you want to get the most out of your trip to Buffalo, this is your spot! Within our block you have Mothers, Cafe 59, the new Giacobbi's, Fat Bob's, Don Tequila among many others. Go another block and add Tempo, Gabriels Gate, and Coco. Whether you're here for a reception at the Hamlin House, a presentation at Roswell, a Sabres game or the bar exam, no location is more central to the things you want to do. Relax after your day by perusing the library, or watching Seinfeld on the 50" TV
    Allentown is a Historic Preservation District. Our building was built in 1852. The building was most likely more utilitarian in nature than some of the neighboring buildings built a few years later. Your apartment has hardwood floors throughout. For a number of years, the building was home to the Sisti Art Gallery. You'll see some remnants of that on the property, particularly outside. There are various pedastals (columns out on Franklin) that once were platforms for various statues. The columns in front of the building came from the Federal Reserve building in Buffalo that was torn down sometime in the 1930's. I purchased the property in the mid 1990's. It was, for the most part, boarded up (one tenant remained upstairs). Drop ceilings had been installed, and tile put over the hardwood floors. We've attempted to return the building to the condition it would have been before these modifications. BUSINESS TRAVELERS - Have free access to the coworking space at the back of the building (this picture is from there, this is not your room). We also accept business packages, let us know what you need!
    The Allentown neighborhood is known for its bars and restaurants. With the addition of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, the area is flourishing. When you arrive, I can recommend restaurants that fit your tastes, and budget. Within a short walk, you'll have many to choose from. Just a few blocks farther, there are a number of great new areas springing up. One of my current favorites is Big Ditch, with Deep South Taco just down the block. I wasn't a big beer fan, but Big Ditch is worth the stop.

Since it was winter in Buffalo we had to catch Ubers to get down to the Babeville venue but they were plentiful in this location too. Marshall made everything super easy with quick communication, easy and straightforward instructions for things and answered questions about the area and gave recommendations for dinner spots. The place itself was really neat - the old books were a treat to peruse - and had everything you need.

    In a diverse, urban neighborhood on the rebound, in the center of the city, within an easy walk of Buffalo's best and most historic neighborhoods including Millionaire's Row, Olmsted Parks, Forest Lawn Cemetery, museums, chic shopping district, great restaurants, with easy access to public transportation, 5-10 minutes from downtown by car. This 100 year old arts and crafts house was designed by one of Buffalo's leading architects at the time. Personal tours of the area are available as well as transportation to/from downtown, airport, bus or train station. Free parking is easily available on the street for guests. We have two rooms. Our other room is listed as Historic Arts and Crafts Rose Room. This is our home, so we'll be in and out. We have one other guest room, so there may or may not be other guests in the home when you are here. The bathroom is shared and we do our best to plan our use around your schedule. Your hosts go to work in the morning but we've never had a problem coordinating our bathroom use with our guests' needs. The BnB is 21 year-old Marivi's business. Until August of 2015, Marivi ran the business and was the world's youngest AirBnB host. Now that she's at Duke University, John, her Dad, runs the business for her. The income goes to support her extra college related expenses and volunteer causes that Mom and Dad can't afford. Was curious about all the photos in the profile and the price was right so I thought to myself, "why not stay there."     I have spent the last year adding little touches to complete the feel of staying at Grandma's house. It's a never-ending process as I continue to stumble across just the right addition to the ambience. I have also listened to my guests' suggestions and addressed issues like a shortage of power outlets and a bathroom window that offers more privacy. Guests have left comments using words like "comfy" and "homey". Many have said it is much larger than they had imagined. My two cats and I live upstairs. One of them will visit on request if you need a fur-fix.
    This is the type of neighborhood where you can forget to lock your car or your house and not regret it. It is peaceful, and the neighbors are considerate. You can easily (and safely) walk to the South Buffalo Irish Center or the Knights of Columbus.

  • This comfy apartment was perfect for my needs. I was in Buffalo for a family emergency, but found myself wishing I could spend more time in Joanne's lovely place. The vintage vibe ( "like Grandma's house") really hit the spot for me. Lovely and clean. Furniture around windows is arranged for maximum privacy. Thoughtful touches everywhere. My favorite was a generously sized mirror in the bedroom with a power strip positioned right next to it. Ideal for hairdrying/curling, and charging devices overnight. Full length closet mirror doors were also helpful for checking full outfit. Extremely quiet neighborhood- I never used my earplugs! Bed is quite firm, if you like that; it took me a day or two to get used to. Heat, water temp, and water pressure were all excellent. The small bathroom might be difficult for one with a disability, but it was more than adequate for my needs. Linens/dishes were well stocked. Joanne was truly a superhost and I would love to stay there again!

  • This apartment was perfect for a long weekend in Buffalo. Sergio is a great host and kept me informed of all needed instructions. The apartment was spacious enough that our group of 5 did not feel crowded. Each couple and 1 single had their own bedroom. I appreciated how organized everything in the apartment was. Also appreciated the fireplace in the living room and space heaters in the bedrooms! We were attending an event at the Buffalo Riverworks and this location was extremely close and convenient. A Less than 10 minute drive.

Guest have their own "treehouse-like" deck, kitchen with a fridge, stovetop with grill, keurig coffee maker, microwave and opening skylight. The main living area has a 32" T.V. , sofa and chair , queen size bed and a 3 piece bathroom with many amenities. There is cable T.V, Wi-Fi and parking and hosts live on site We are a 20 minute drive to the Falls along the Niagara Parkway.

  • Our second time staying at Nancy & Jim’s! we absolutely love the loft in both winter and summer. They offered a space heater as it gets chilly in the winter but we didn’t end up needing it. Nancy and Jim were wonderful as always, making sure we settled and got checked in alright and even had fresh baked cookies on our arrival!

A 10 minute walk from Historic Allentown, City Hall and the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Canal Side, the Waterfront, and a minute from Chippewa Street. Buffalo is a small town in a big city setting. People are very friendly here. Once you find it, we'll love it here.
