This place is such an awesome spot and the only place we will ever book when visiting family in the area. The beds are amazing and the amenities in the house has everything you need!

Cute farm house that is very clean, well appointed and made you feel at home. Owners very attentive to our needs and great communication! Please note this is a farm house so part of the charm is the squeaky steep stairs and smaller rooms. The beds were super comfortable with extra linens. Kitchen well stocked able to meal prep prior to meeting for the holiday with family. Great location. Will stay again! .

My boyfriend and I stayed here with some friends for a wedding. Holly was very accommodating and communicative. The kitchen is stocked with delicious organic treats and we felt right at home! Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

Holly's welcome and attentiveness is amazing. One example was her prompt willingness to mail to us a couple of items we'd left in the room. The place is a wonderful location if any one is visiting Gustavus Adolphus.

Helpful hostess gave suggestions for dealing with parking options after a strong rain and accommodating weather fluctuations for room comfort. Clean, well appointed house without clutter. Good lighting for getting around in the evening. Appreciated the offer of some dairy free, gluten free, organic, and cruelty free items. Comfortable sitting room, beautiful landscaping, and enjoyed coffee on the back porch a couple mornings. Area felt safe to walk in, even at night. Appreciated translucent shades to allow sun into the bedroom without a glare. The regular blinds keep the room nice and dark. Slept well and would stay here again.

A quiet place right in the heart of town. Many neat places are near by walkable. No big box hotel comes close to what I had a Kendra's place

A perfect place for a quaint and clean getaway!

We were attending a wedding at The Broz in New Prague and due to terrible weather decided at the last minute to stay overnight. Kendra responded to my inquiry instantly and was able to accommodate us with almost no warning! She was so kind and helpful, giving clear instructions and even some breakfast recommendations (we went to one of them, Ettlin’s, which was good). We were able to park in the provided space and walk to and from the wedding, less than a 2 minute walk away, which made for a very relaxing evening without worrying about the weather. The room is small but cute, clean and cosy. The bed was comfortable, the towels large, soft and fluffy, and there were even robes provided, although we had brought our own. There is another room (separate security code) in the same apartment but there are no shared walls as there is a communal area between the two containing tea and coffee plus a small fridge, microwave and toaster oven. We had quiet and respectful ‘roommates’ but we decided against making early morning drinks because we were concerned about disturbing them, so that is a potential small inconvenience. If we ever attend another event at the same venue we would definitely try to stay at Kendra’s place again.

The place is beautifully decorated and very comfortable with a great location on Mainstreet.

Charming space! We took both units and loved staying here. Amazing location and thoughtful extras like bathrobes, memory foam mattresses, fluffy towels and Keurig coffee. More like an Inn than an Airbnb. Don’t think twice!

A beautiful home with many interesting features, and a feline co-host that did a wonderful job in checking on us at days end. Mary's place is awesome. It's a big old house in St. Peter. A park right across the street and grocery store, restaurants and post office nearby within walking distance. Loved the stay and the quiet town. Just what I needed.

Really nice quiet place. I was provided with a good degree of privacy and could leave early and come back late which is exactly what I needed for the week.

They views overlooking the Minnesota River are amazing and the home sits on a bluff in a tranquil country setting. Bars bars is very gracious and the room and bathroom are top quality!

We loved staying at Kendra’s! This place is clean, cozy, welcoming, and easy to get to. She really made the most of this space, and I love that the historical elements of the building still shine through! She is clear with her directions and expectations and kind upon asking for questions and clarifications!

Such a great location and comfy bed. We stayed one night and Kendra was a great host. She thought of every detail in the decor and making the stay the most comfortable. The room was adorable and just enough space for two people. I would highly recommend others to stay here if you are in town.

Very cute and nice. Everything was as expected/described except we actually had a little more room than we expected. Main bed was very comfortable which was wonderful for us.

It was a cute, quaint home on a quiet street. Everything was clean. We came from Chicago for Minnesota State homecoming weekend. It is about 15 miles from the university. We didn't really explore too much of the town itself, but she had brochures and information on the table near the entryway. The host was helpful. I would stay here again and encourage anyone to do so as well! Thanks Barb!

Barb’s place is the perfect spot for a cozy, quiet stay. Her home was super clean and the master king bed was the most comfortable bed! We slept so soundly and woke up feeling refreshed and ready for another day of travel. Communication was great and check-in was a breeze. The fenced-in backyard was perfect for our little Shichon Callie. There is a wonderful coffee shop, The River Rock, a few blocks away. We are planning a trip back to look at the Fall leaves and will definitely stay here again. Thanks Barb!!!

Barb is quick to respond to questions and concerns. The house is located on a very quiet street in a small town. I sat on the porch every evening. The kids played in the yard. Everything is clean and well kept. We had a wonderful time.

This place was gorgeous and offered great vacation home for several couples to enjoy! There were great touches throughout like complimentary beverages, updated amenities, outdoor games and activities, and the fire pit pre-stocked with wood! Absolutely wonderful! We stayed here to attend a friend's wedding at the MN Harvest Apple Orchard, just about 15 minutes away!

Pretty clean and well worth for a family trip. Hosts are friendly and welcome. You gonna love this place.

The RV is set up in a beautiful, private location, close to St Peter with room to roam. This was our 2nd time and we wish we could have stayed all summer. Barb and Bill are excellent hosts and we appreciated all the extra touches. We didn’t want to leave!

We loved our stay here and it was just perfect for what we needed. The house is very comfortable, bright and sunny, well appointed, comfortable beds and in a really convenient location. The large grocery store and also the St Peter Coop are within a couple blocks walking distance. It was very easy to communicate with Becky and she was responsive to all my questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice and spacious house for a big group! We stayed here for our annual Friendsgiving. Place was very clean, travel size shampoo, conditioner, & soap was provided along with towels and bottled water in every room! Would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again when we come back to the area!

Several of us ladies stayed here for two nights to celebrate a birthday and reconnect with friends. Every one of us loved this house! I love older houses and this was perfect for us! We had everything we needed. Sarah made everything effortless and worry free from the time we checked in through the time we checked out. We are already talking about getting together here around the same time next year!

The Lodge is fantastic! I stayed here with ten other members of my family and it was the perfect spot for us. There are several sitting areas so we could be doing a few different things at the same time. The kitchen is big and easy to cook in. We had a great time and I would highly recommend.

This is the third year my family has stayed at this property. It is perfect for our needs and is always spotless and comfortable.

We were a group of quilters traveling to visit a friend. The house was wonderful. It accomodated our group and gave everyone their own space. It also allowed all of us to sit and visit together. Much better than a hotel. It was located close to grocery stores and downtown. The house was very clean and comfortable.

Exactly as advertised, incredibly cleaned, well stocked and in an excellent location - definitely 5 stars - would be 10 stars if it had an additional bathroom. This is a great house at a great price - super value.

My family stayed here for a fall weekend while we visited our sons at Shattuck St. Mary's. It is a beautiful spot on the lake and the sunrises are gorgeous. There is a very large deck, grill and fire pits. I can see how in the summer it would be lovely. House was very clean. There was plenty of pots and pans and kitchen utensils. Plenty of dishes and silverware which I appreciated since my husband and I were there with four of my children. The house is spread apart in a convenient way especially if you are traveling with older children who will want their own space. There is a local grocery store close-by. The location is a lovely quiet residential neighborhood. Trong was unbelievably responsive to any questions. The house is an older "lake house" and some of the house has been updated and other parts are more original. The pictures he has listed are accurate. There is a great view from the Master bedroom and the master bath is very nice. All in all it was a perfect house for our needs and a great stay. Thank you.

This house is very spacious. Quiet at one end for sleeping while those who want to stay up can do so without interruption for those wanting quiet. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, bowls, colander and basic spices. You do need to bring your own coffee. The refrigerator is very large. There is one towel and wash cloth per person, so if you need a towel for going into the lake or just want more, then you should bring some extra towels. Other than that everything you need is there. We rented for five nights for our family; and were there for our sons wedding. Therefore we didn't do many water activities, but it sure was nice to come back from the day's events and relax with the serenity of the lake just outside. The neighborhood is quiet and I would come back again if the need arises

Trong’s home was wonderful for our family get away. The view is beautiful. The house has two sides so it was nice for our infant on one side and the rest of the family on the other. The fire pit is near the water and provided great fire conversations.

Had a great time! Sunrises are very nice.

Great Lake home with beautiful views of Cedar Lake. Saw a fisherman land a nice bass right off the dick in front. With four bedrooms and three baths easy to get ready for my nieces wedding and rest before and after. Thanks again for sharing your home

The house provided us everything we needed for the weekend. The space near the water was excellent for relaxing. We especially enjoyed beautiful lake views from the house and kayaking on the water. Trong responded quickly throughout the process.

Excellent location- across from park, close to Gustavus and Food Co-Op. Very clean, beautiful house.

Mary was extremely easy to communicate with and very friendly. Easy check in process. Her home was very clean. Towels provided. Friendly cat. Close proximity to Gustavus. My mom and I did have trouble sleeping due to the extremely firm mattress in the room we stayed in. But for one night it worked and was a cheap option in the area. Thanks again Mary!

Mary has a very comfortable and lovely Victorian house just steps away from one of St. Peter’s nice parks. It is very close to restaurants, the grocery store and other shops on the main street. The house is a historic treasure with lots of nice touches, great kitchen, and lovely common spaces. Mary made us feel at home right from the start. We would highly recommend for anyone wanting to have a space close to Gustavus or the many festivals that go on in the park. We like it so much we decided to stay longer!

Spotless. Comfy. Amazing place to stay!

This place was perfect for our work retreat. We had ten people staying overnight (originally planned for 12). It was very comfortable. We rented out the downstairs for an additional fee, so we had access to the amazing living room, an additional bedroom with a queen bed and an additional bathroom. There were so many comfortable places to sit and hang out that worked well for full group discussions and smaller breakouts. The kitchen was comfortable for all of us to be in without feeling like there were too many cooks. The kitchen appliances were great, we were able to cook multiple meals and loved eating breakfast around the GIANT kitchen island. We loved the gas fire place. There are so many places to sit and chat without feeling crowded. I think, with a few air mattresses, or people sharing beds that we could have comfortably have fit a few more people. We loved the decor. The tech was great- there was a big tv with amble seating for our group. WiFi was fast and we didn’t have issues logging on. The Nest is located across the street from a great bakery. It’s a six minute walk to the local brewery, a liquor store, and a grocery store. It is very walkable. I highly recommend for a group retreat, or to rent a room for some time away. Michelle was a gracious host. She was available to welcome us at the downstairs Quilt Shop. I had car trouble, so most of the group arrived before me went she gave them the tour and helped them get settled. She went over details with me when I arrived. 100% recommend if you are in the area or want an escape from the city- especially for an team retreat.

This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The hosts are so warm and welcoming, and the space is cozy and comfortable and felt like a home away from home. It was a perfect place for our family to stay, and we are looking forward to visiting again someday!

Highly recommended for your next visit to St. Peter. As [new] Gustie Parents, this will definitely be a place we'll rest our heads when visiting our son over the next 4 years! Holly is a gracious host who is attentive, responsive and has provided a beautiful and unique place to stay while in the St. Peter area.

The Engesser home is of high quality. The room we stayed in was clean, well equipped and comfortable. There was kitchen use and breakfast food available. Holly was a great innkeeper and quick to respond. We plan on returning next year.

Engesser House is a wonderful retreat. The master suite has a very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and plenty of light. The home is charming with lots of nooks and rooms for relaxing. Holly stocks a gracious kitchen with many choices for breakfast, coffee and tea. Everything is easy to find and the house instructions are clear and accurate while remaining welcoming and friendly. Saint Peter Co-op is gem. It was fun to simply look around. Downtown Saint Peter has many unique shops and cafes. I look forward to finding more reasons to visit Engesser house.

Nice value

Our Family thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Engesser house. Holly does an amazing job with all the little touches. Was immaculately clean and what a treat it was to have the opportunity to bring our whole family. My husband, myself, my kids, and their friends thoroughly enjoyed the attic space.

This was our second time in the Master Suite. Once again, all was wonderful! We will stay again if we happen to be in Mankato or Saint Peter over night.

We had a great visit at Holly’s place. We were only in town one night and looking for a cute and quiet place to sleep that evening. This was everything we needed. The grab and go breakfast in the morning had variety and we all left satisfied.

My daughter and I loved staying here. I would highly recommended Holly' s place to anyone who appreciates an historical home and decor. It was also comfortable and clean. Absolutely lovely!
