This Commiezen house (customs office/earlier BORDER/TAX CONTROL Office) is one of the oldest houses at the mouth of the North Sea Canal. The house dates from 1875 and thus forms the basis of the later IJmuiden. With the largest sea lock in the world within walking distance and beach and fishing port within a radius of 1 km, this place is an ideal starting point for day trips. Betty is natural therapist and Gert owns a 38 ft. sailing yacht, you can book for a tour on the IJsselmeer. We welcome you in our peaceful venue. The studio has a seperate entrance and is apart from and is apart the house. So you have your own place. The back terrace from Betty's garden is open for you.

De studio ligt 10 minuten van de ferry van DFDS Seaways van IJmuiden naar New Castle.......... Private studio near Amsterdam... Heerlijk fietsen in de duinen . De studio heeft een eigen ingang .

Loft in old fire station of Wijk aan Zee

Come and stay in the old Wilhelminaschool from 1884. In a quiet street is our building that was once built as a school, then served as a fire station and where we now live. This third classroom has been refurbished with a lot of love and patience and has now been transformed into a cozy 70m2 loft. Because the space has an open staircase and fairly open balustrade, the apartment is not suitable for small children. Kids from 7 years old are welcome.

The ÖÖD Suite Panoramic Lake View will give you a breathtaking view over the Kennemerlake and dunes. Sleep with the curtains open and wake up with the sun coming up from the East. In this protected area there are many different beautiful bird species, foxes, rabbits and deer.  Please be aware that there is a kitchen but no induction plate for cooking.
