This stylish apartment is situated on a quiet leafy lane in the village of Barford close to Warwick and Stratford upon Avon and not far from M40. Recently refurbished the accommodation is bright, modern and comfortable and would be ideal for a couple or just one person. Barford is a pretty village with a nice pub and a community shop with a regular bus service and train station a few miles away.
The apartment has Freeview television with a wide choice of DVDs. The kitchen has a selection of tea, ground coffee, cereals, milk, yoghurts and croissant. There is soap, shampoo, shower gel provided together with fluffy towels and crisp bed linen.
Barford is a very pretty, quiet village with a community shop, a hotel and two public houses. Warwick is less than 2 miles away and has many lovely restaurants to choose from.
  • Great find for me. All the small touches were really well thought through, coffee, milk, bathroom products made the stay super easy. Really nice place to relax - great.

  • I've done many airbnb's for work trips - this was such a lovely place. Quiet, easy, close to my work and full of thoughtful touches and little extras of hospitality. I will be staying here again.

  • Tracy's place was a very welcomed relaxing weekend away. Fantastically located close to the beautiful town of Stratford upon Avon. The apartment is very cosy. A home from home! Some very thoughtful items left around the home if required. Thank you very much for a quiet and peaceful break. We will be highly recommending our friends to stay. ❤

There are so many little extras like toothpaste and toothbrushes, shower gel, frozen croissants, milk, orange juice, plenty of tea towels, rubber gloves to name but a few! Gorgeous, bijou 17th century black & white cottage in the centre of Barford village in Warwickshire, close to Warwick, Stratford-on-Avon and Royal Leamington Spa. Equipped with everything needed for a superbly comfortable stay and perfect for two, or a couple with an older child.
Avondale has an inglenook open fireplace, TV, board games and a glossy digital piano. It has solid wood furniture and a well equipped modern kitchen (dishwasher, microwave and oven). *PLEASE NOTE The bathroom is en suite off the double bedroom. The person sleeping in the small but cute second bedroom has access to a downstairs lavatory if necessary during the night, but has to walk through the main bedroom to access a bath/shower.
Stratford on Avon is approx 20 minutes by car in one direction, Warwick centre less than ten minutes the other way and the Cotswolds are also an easy drive away. The cottage is a one minute walk from Barford community village shop, which has won national awards. There are two pubs (one "gastro" style with garden seating and the other serves Indian food) and a recreation ground with outdoor fitness equipment and tennis courts. We're a 2.8 mile walk, run or cycle (along paths) from the entrance of Warwick castle (and of course you can drive or get a taxi too!)
  • Beautiful house great location for getting to Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon. Would highly recommend.

    Chloe2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This bijou cottage is a cozy home from home. Angela has thought of everything for her guests comfort. We were very happy to spend time in the property but there are many interesting places to visit nearby, not least Stratford-upon-Avon with its handy park and ride a few minutes drive away.

  • Fantastic accommodation.

  • Very lovely cottage! Had a lovely night away and felt completely at home here, little notes around the cottage helped us with where to find things! Breakfast bits were provided which were a added touch! Really clean! Would definitely recommend

  • Beautiful place with real charm. A smashing stay👍

    Sarah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The place was perfect for our 3 day stay in the area. It was well situated for Stratford-upon -Avon, Warwick Castle, Warwick University and Coventry. There were so many homely touches. We have been travelling for 2 months and that was one of our favourite spots. It may not be for everyone with the stairs, but we loved it.

    Liz2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cottage, so cosy but with everything you need. Angela had kindly provided bread, milk, fruit etc which was very kind. Great local shop. We would definitely stay again

    Kate2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is charming and furnished to a high standard. It is clean and very well equipped. I would definitely recommend it and would love to stay again. It is within easy reach of Warwick where we enjoyed exploring the castle. I highly recommend the Dungeon, a terrifying experience!

Farthings Cottage is a little hideaway in our garden close to our house but with a feeling of privacy. We live in the southern part of Warwickshire and whilst easy access to Stratford on Avon, Warwick and the Cotswolds, we are nestled away in our 26 acres of horse fields and forest. As well as two children there is also one rather shy cat and three friendly horses. We would say that a car is an absolute necessity as we are a drive away from all amenities.
Farthings Cottage is a charming and welcoming little space perfect for a hideaway time with nature and wildlife on your doorstep. Though quaint and secluded there is also fast internet and central heating as well as a good shower and a fully equipped cottage kitchen but no microwave oven.
We live in the Warwickshire countryside and though secluded have easy access to Stratford Upon Avon, Warwick and the Cotswolds as well as being approx 36 miles from Birmingham. It is a thriving countryside full of gastro pubs, National Trust Homes and general activities.
  • Ideal quiet place for work and lovely country surroundings which I wish I could have spent more time in.

    Alice2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely small place in the countryside, twenty minutes to both Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon for day trips. We enjoyed not having a tv as we got to play a few board games and enjoy the quiet.

    Rhys2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect getaway, extremely better than described on AirBnB, description doesn’t do it justice, really friendly and helpful.

  • Great location and lovely cottage. I would highly recommend this place.

    Callum2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely break in a nice quiet location surrounded by the beauty of the country. We visited some of the local towns and villages and enjoyed some of the excellent food prepared fresh by local pubs and bakeries. Mia and Mike were very friendly and helpful. Thank you.

    David2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a find! Such a beautiful place to relax and unwind. Full of character and a super comfy bed. No telly, which we loved, but good WiFi if you do want to watch something on your laptop. Mia and Mike are so lovely and made us feel really welcome. Loved the horses too! Can highly recommend the car museum, which is just down the road. We'll definitely be returning to Farthings Cottage again!

  • Nice clean place in a lovely rural setting.

    Gary2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little cottage, next to Mia’s house but still feels private. Stylish and clean and a really nice bed. If using a satnav, put in the postcode Mia sends you, don’t push the ‘directions’ button on the Airbnb app.

Modern, light and clean accommodation located in a quiet cul-de-sac. A very comfortable super-king bed in its own bedroom, with plenty of space to spread out and unwind in the living room. A big, flat-screen TV for when you've done exploring or working, there's a dining table for two and space to work if you're here on business.
Around here there's something for everyone! We're conveniently located just 4 miles from Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon, 7 miles from Royal Leamington Spa and 8 miles from historic Warwick and its famous castle. More modern amenities, such as a supermarket, are just a 5-minute walk away and the Post Office a short drive. We pride ourselves on making our place feel like your place, with comfort in mind. Rumour has it you won't want to get out of bed in the morning because it's so comfortable and the living room has all you need to work, rest and enjoy your stay. Radiators to keep you warm in winter and an oscillating fan to keep you cool in summer; we want you to be just right. If there's something you need, just let us know; we'll be happy to help with whatever we can. We look forward to welcoming you and we hope you enjoy your time here.
Eating in Wellesbourne offers several choices; two pubs - The Kings Head Restaurant & Bar and the Stags Head; a Chinese takeaway and a Fish and Chip takeaway. Also, there are places to buy food - two One Stop Shops which stay open very late and a Co-Op grocery store. These are all about a mile away. There is a Sainsbury's supermarket just a 5-minute walk away.
  • I’m not sure if I want to tell the truth about this place as it might be booked solid the next time we pass through! Hilary and Lionel have created a lovely space in which the thoughtful touches - a fantastically appointed kitchen with the basics in place for cooking and heating food, an excellent shower - hot and great pressure [and a heated towel rack!] and a comfy bed - a comfy BIG bed - just add up to a delightful experience for weary COVID-19-avoiding travellers. It’s amazing value and positioned so well for travel to Coventry, Birmingham, Stratford. If you’re a motorcycle nut, the Triumph Factory Experience as well as the National Motorcycle Museum are not far. A short hop up from London - it’s a brilliant location to use as a base. Hilary and Lionel have travelled extensively and as a result, I think, they’ve really thought of everything a traveller might need. Oh, and there’s a good sized Sainsbury’s very close by. Onsite parking. It was secure and quiet. I wish I was still there!

    Nadia2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really lovely place. Easy check in, very convenient to local sights!

    Kirstin2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • An excellent place to stay, spotlessly clean, well equipped and close to local amenities. Hilary and Lionel were very welcoming and helpful, which all added to a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.

    John2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • I've stopped with Hilary on a number of occasions and got many future stays booked - A great little property if you are on business or looking for a base to use for Stratford or Warwick

    Barry2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed at Hilary's places a couple of weeks ago for the weekend and we had a lovely time. Hilary's place was very cosy and the bed was unbelievably large and very comfortable. The location was within a very quiet neighborhood which was lovely for walks even late at night. The kitchen had a single hob induction cooker which was surprisingly really good and worked brilliantly for us when making meals. Overall we were very happy with our stay at Hilary's place and would most definitely stay there again.

    Priyank2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Another “home away from home” stay at Hilary’s. Future stays booked. Brilliant property

    Barry2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely quiet rooms, loads of space and well-appointed.

    David2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely spotless, modern space that is within a stone's throw of so many local sights. The extra attention to detail really made us feel welcome during our stay. I'd recommend this to anyone considering days out or work trips in the nearby Stratford Upon Avon or Warwick.

  • Unfortunately I had to cancel my stay at the last minute due to a problem en route, but Ken was very understanding and was excellent with his quick and helpful replies to my messages. His place looks really lovely and I trust that it is from the other reviews, so I'll definitely keep it in mind if I ever need somewhere to stay in the area again!

Beautifully decorated, and very comfortably furnished self contained cottage in the heart of Shakespeare country on the edge of Charlecote Park. A hot tub for your personal use is perfect for a relaxing or romantic break. We allow instant bookings for this cottage. From Jan 2019 I can accommodate up to 4 people at The Stables. See separate add on this site; 'A 2 bedroom cottage in a beautiful location.' The 2 bedroom option is only available on request.
Hot tub in beautiful surroundings for your personal use. Very spacious cottage with large living room, very comfy king size bed, powerful shower And fully equipped kitchen. Private seating area outside with sun loungers. There is shared access to garden areas with the owners, who respect your privacy at all times.
It's beautiful! We are on the edge of Charlecote deer park with lovely walks . It's very peaceful but very near to other lovely and interesting towns, The Cotswolds, Stratford upon Avon. Railway stations and Birmingham airport close by.
  • Katriona’s and Rupert’s place was home from home, very stylish and comforting. Kitchen ware provided was excellent, everything you need to make meals is required, meaning you don’t need to venture out. There isn’t much locally to do, you must have a car to get about but the countryside is a lovely place to be and take a nice long walk. Followed by dipping in the lovely hot tub provided! This is such a selling point. Lovely relaxing break away, would definitely recommend to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

    Ciara2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Katriona is an excellent host. I've stayed here a couple times while on business in the area. Looking forward to my next stay.

  • Beautiful place within a beautiful place. Highly recommend. Host goes the extra mile been a lovely stay with lots to do in the area. Highly recommend both the butterfly farm and Warrick Castle

    Jade2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • The place was lovely and clean, just as shown in the pictures!! It’s so close to Stratford meaning you can easily travel there for the day or even get the bus there...but as well staying in Charlecote you have more to explore and go walking around the park. The TV is sky operated so if you’re one for keeping up with football like my boyfriend is it’s perfect and you can watch your normal shows too!! The hot tub is lovely and warm, great for relaxing in. The kitchen has all amenities, we staying in one night and cooked:)

    Kirsten2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A really good stay, good location for charlescote, Stratford-upon-Avon and leamington spa and nice little touches in the house especially the gas fire, hot tub and cafeteria

    Millie2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • This a little gem set in beautiful surroundings. Spacious, spotlessly clean and super comfortable. Nice touches throughout the cottage. It’s the perfect place to switch off for a few days. Relaxing in the hot tub was a added bonus. Highly recommended.

  • Our stay at the Malt house was so lovely and relaxing. Katrina and Rupert provide the perfect getaway. We stay by a cozy fire and watched movies. The hot tub is absolutely amazing. The fairy lights and sound system really complete the mood. Just what we needed on our break from reality...

  • Perfect! We had such a lovely time staying in this beautiful place. We were welcomed by a bottle of Prosecco and a box of chocolates to see the New Year in, and found everything to be very high quality, very clean and well thought through. The shower is quite literally the best I’ve ever had. The bathroom has all sorts of extras in case you’ve forgotten anything. Iszy was very welcoming, check in extremely easy. The kitchen is well stocked with all the pots and pans you need to make food. There’s a fridge, washing machine and dishwasher - luxury! Thank you, Iszy, and I hope we’ll be back!

    Will2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Anex is a fabulous living space above the garages of Kineton Grange Farm. It is a busy farm (with beautiful horses) in the Warwickshire countryside so prepare for muddy shoes in the driveway. Iszy herself was absolutely charming and a most helpful host despite being rushed off her feet when we turned up earlier than expected. Would be happy to stay here again. (Directions: Look out for the large name sign for the farm at the end of the driveway as it’s easy to intrude on the neighbours’ by mistake)

    Ally2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Would highly recommend this space. It was stylish, clean and very comfortable and cosy! It had absolutely everything we needed and we loved our stay!

    Katie2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect from beginning to end. Thoughtful touches, great communication and always created with a smile by Iszy. The bar is very high for any future stays.

It's small, and it's sunny and peaceful and comes with its own private bathroom.
If you're part of a larger party, we also have a double bedroom, with its own bathroom, available as a separate listing. There's plenty of room for a small child to share this double room with you.
Some great walks (if you like walking) and gorgeous scenery (if you like driving), with easy access to the Cotswolds and Birmingham. Stratford upon Avon, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Warwick are all just a stone's throw away, and all well worth exploring.

We provide tea and coffee, for anything else call into the nearby local shops, such as the Co op supermarket and post office round the corner. The village butcher sells a range of meats and marinated dishes ready to cook. All towels and bedding are provided.
Kineton is a lovely, friendly village with lots of amenities and eateries. You will find a pharmacy, florist, butchers, post office, co op supermarket, 2 coffee shops, pubs and restaurant. We like the Swan Inn for Tapas and local beers, Shukurs Indian restaurant for a great curry, Thyme for Tea for delicious homemade cakes and Gilkes Café for brunch. There is a handy circular village walk as well as local footpaths.
  • Beautiful property which was spotlessly clean. Lovely host and was perfectly situated for us. We really appreciated the little touches like fresh milk, tea/coffee and homemade cookies which were much appreciated after a long drive round exploring the Cotswolds.

Lovely little touches with the lights going down the pathway and the beautiful homemade cookies! Spotlessly clean and stocked with plenty of tea bags/coffee/hot choc ect and even milk left for us in the fridge. Wish we stayed for longer!

A beautifully restored brand new 1 bedroom cottage all on ground floor with vaulted ceilings, kitchen and shower room set in the grounds of a lovely stately manor house. The cottage is situated 10min drive into Stratford Upon Avon (Shakespeares birthplace), 10mins from Warwick (Warwick Castle) and 10mins drive from Leamington Spa just off junction 15 of M40 motorway. Closest train station (12mins drive) is Warwick Parkway with direct training into London Marylebone and Birmingham and the north.

  • What a find! Although we were the first to stay and there were some finishing touches still to be applied we really couldn’t fault it. The location is picturesque and quiet. There’s local amenities within 5 minutes walk, including a pub, takeaways and shop. The hosts are friendly and welcoming with excellent communication. With the cottage being separate to the main house you really feel you have the place to yourself. All in all if you’re looking for a place to stay then you won’t regret staying here. I know I would again happily.

  • Lovely little annexe just 30 seconds walk from a great gastro pub. Louise made sure the place was spotless and that there was plenty of breakfast options and decent coffee too. Comfy little pad with everything you need. Would definitely recommend.

  • Louise is a wonderful hostess. Her place is spotless. Her provision of basics for breakfast was excellent. Her place is warm and comfortable. We wanted to tour Stratford. This was a perfect place from which to do so.

  • Lovely little place. The Den is stylish and fully equipped with everything you’d need for a long or short stay. Breakfast items were provided, cereal, bread, yogurt, juice, butter and jam. Towels and shower essentials provided too. Lovely little gastro-pub a 30 sec walk away, food was nice- service left a lot to be desired though- obviously this has nothing to do with Louise. Sky tv and Wi-fi provided for downtime. Although attached to the main house, we had a lot of privacy and space, although I knew if there were any issues ( there was none) I could approach next door with ease. Thankyou for a lovely break away Louise, wish we could have stayed longer and Thankyou Emma for the warmest of welcomes.

    Naomi2020-03-04T00:00:00Z

  • We were visiting the area to go to a friend's birthday party and Louise's place was perfect. A comfortable self contained space with kitchen facilities for preparing food and drinks too. Wonderfully clean and a warm welcome from our hosts with caring touches such as providing a fan as the weather was so warm. All we needed for a continental breakfast was in the fridge so that we could take our time in the morning. A great place to stay.

    Rick2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • This very clean private suite has everything you will need, including a queen bed, private bathroom, kitchen and living area. Louise is a great host and provided many extras and special touches. A bit out of the way, but well worth the drive.

  • Perfect place to stay if you need to feel at home and have all the amenities you would do in your own house. This self-sufficient little studio includes oven, hob, toaster, coffee machine, microwave, etc, so we could cook dinner and breakfast with ease. Sky TV meant we could snuggle down and watch a movie and relax as we would at home.

    Victoria2018-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect little studio flat for a short break. Great facilities and super clear! Louise went over and above to make us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay. bijoux, quirky, comfortable, 1 bedroom appartment in quiet village location. local shops and pub within 100 steps (no, really). great location for rural walks, shopping, exploring leamington spa / warwick and stratford upon avon. 10 mins from m40. Wifi and Netflix included
sloping ceilings, small shower, and staircase acccess means this is not suitable for those with limited mobility. appartment is located over garages next to owners property. Sorry NO DOGS.
bustling village life with a volounteer run library and cafe, a beauty parlour, hair salon, garage, church, park, 3 pubs and 2 shops.
  • A quirky little apartment, squeaky clean and with everything provided for a short stay. Situated in a village with every amenity (library with information centre and cafe, three pubs serving food, and two village stores). There are some pleasant walks around the area including a blue plaque trail and a longer walk which takes you out into the countryside surrounding the village. Sue’s house is set back from the road and the apartment sits above a three car garage. There are steps up so may not be suitable for the less able. I didn’t have a car available for my stay and used local buses to Banbury and Leamington Spa which has links to Coventry, Stratford upon Avon and beyond. I would be very happy to stay here again.

    Janet2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • A very comfortable, clean and well designed little place which provided everything I needed and was an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area. I would not hesitate to book again.

  • A fantastic stay, please see my previous review for in-depth feedback, just as good as before! Will be back!

    Ethan2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sue's place is wonderful, located in a picturesque and quiet village with two shops, pubs, the library (with a café!) and more within seconds from the property by foot. It's located just off of Fosse Way with good connections to Leamington via Fosse Way, Warwick, Stratford and more by car or public transport (there are bus links directly outside). A parking space is provided on Sue's property right next to where you'll stay. The property itself is wonderful, located on top of a large 3-car garage with a fully featured kitchen (fridge, induction hob, pots, pans, oven dishes, every cooking utensil you could ever hope for and more!), living space (comfortable two-seater sofa with television (now on a stand Sue provided for more convenient viewing!), dining table with seating for four people), bedroom (comfortable double bed, plenty of storage space, towels, blankets, extra pillows and more provided) and bathroom (shower, sink and toilet). You'll need to bring shampoo and other such items but the basics are all taken care of for you. I had to message Sue and Rob several times and both of them couldn't have been more helpful or generous - I've never experienced such levels of hospitality from Airbnb hosts before and they should be commended for their efforts. I felt welcome, at home and comfortable here, a place I could really unwind after a hard day at work. Sue provides you with crumpets, jam, butter and milk to give you a basic quick-start breakfast and you'll find them in the fridge when you arrive - if you run out of anything, just ask! There are also slippers and extra linen/blankets provided if you get a little chilly, though with the two electric heaters provided I didn't find I needed to use them. Be sure to check the notice board near the library as Harbury offers many things to do throughout the year (if staying on a Saturday, the samosas at the shop just opposite are supposed to be legendary)... overall I couldn't be happier and I would recommend that anyone stayed here in a heartbeat. I'll certainly be back!

  • Fantastic place and host! High recommended!

    Cathleena2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • The property has everything you could need for a relaxing short stay. We had a lovely time, everything was just perfect and it was a fantastic location for so many local attractions. We intend to return, especially as we did not have the time - or weather - to explore some of the outdoor attractions, like the local nature reserve. It really was a home-from-home, easy to work everything, all you could need and larger than the pictures suggest.

    Dawn2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was absolutely beautiful and quirky - everything you need for a quiet break. It had everything we needed and more. Can’t wait to come back.

    Nicole2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • We found the place very neat and tidy. The location was perfect for us with everything with everything we needed just a very short drive away. I would definitely like to stay there again. Dawn has assembled a large assortment of information pamphlets from the area so these will give a great idea of things to do and places to go. They came in very handy!

  • A wonderful place with a warm welcome and those extra thoughtful touches. We stayed with our 2 year old and Susan went the extra mile, providing full fat milk, a lovely welcoming cot and a non slip bath mat. The cottage was sparkling clean and perfect for a toddler to run around in. Thanks again, we will definitely be back 🥰

    Verity2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is set in a lovely quiet location and has everything you would need. Susan was a lovely host. Spotlessly clean. I would stay again anytime. Thank you for having us. Jess

  • This cottage is a perfect space for a country getaway. The cottage has plenty of room and had lovely views out over the countryside. It is a short drive / taxi ride to get into Leamington Spa from where you can get to Birmingham, Warwick, Oxford or Stratford with ease. Sue was very communicative and gave us some really good tips of things to do in the area. The cottage was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with the essentials. All in all this was one of the best Air BnBs we’ve had the pleasure of staying in - would definitely recommend.

    Ashwin2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Susan is very friendly, warm and hospitable. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked in with us to ensure we enjoyed our stay. I am looking forward to another stay there.

    Paul2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the cottage was very peaceful, the scenery surrounding the place was idyllic and perfect for a relaxing break. The cottage is very spacious, with its own patio area, and well equipped for anything you might need. Including all the bathroom necessities, to games, dvds and books. Susan was very welcoming and accommodating on arrival. Our visit was during the Christmas holidays, so we even had some decorations in the lounge, a card and mini panatone, which was a nice thoughtful touch! A top host and a top cottage 👌

From a neglected Victorian blacksmith's shop, we have created a light, beautiful, lofty space with original beams. There is a kitchen, living area and spacious bedroom area, with separate shower room. Lovely flower-filled large garden and pergola/patio.
This is a lovely, light spacious studio room with separate shower room. The shower room has a walk in shower with large 'rain' shower head, toilet, sink, plenty of storage and towels, shampoo, shower gel etc. There is a huge double bed, room for extra people if need be, a fully equipped kitchen area with fully functioning cooker, sink, fridge and small freezer area, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee pot and all the pots, pans, crockery and utensils you need. There is a mini ironing board and iron. If there is anything you want out of the ordinary, just ask and you can borrow what you want from us. There is plenty of empty storage with a Victorian 'potboard' sideboard, a large Victorian painted chest of drawers and Art Deco wardrobe empty for your use. There is room for shoes and coats, umbrellas etc. The apartment is all on one level with extra wide doors, designed for those with mobility problems, including the walk in shower. There are huge floor to ceiling windows to let in plenty of light, with both thick twill and cotton voile separate curtains to maintain privacy at all times. There is underfloor heating under the oak floor. There are velux windows to allow more light in but those near the sleeping area have blinds. There is a TV, DVD and music system (including USB point) and we have installed wifi (BT Infinity) for the flat alone as the signal from the main house can be variable. The blacksmith's shop has certain daily, weekly and monthly rates for one person, but please do contact if you are more than one person, as consideration will be given, especially for those staying more than a few days. Babies are welcome and those under two may stay free of charge. Please note that we do not charge for cleaning to keep the cost down but do expect the space left in the order it was found (bar bedclothes and towels). Your ratings will suffer if you leave it a mess, so please do respect our flat. All cleaning equipment will be made available.
Our village, Barford has recently been voted in the top 10 villages in the Midlands and one of the top 101 villages in England by The Sunday Times newspaper. It is Georgian/Tudor in much of its architecture and very unspoilt, with a Grade II listed medieval bridge over the river Avon. Barford is a mile from the M40 motorway which can take you to London in little over an hour, and Birmingham in less, and we are 5 minutes' drive from historic Warwick with the famous Warwick Castle. Leamington Spa is a lively student town with great restaurants and bars 10 minutes' drive away and Stratford on Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace, is only 15 minutes away by car. Kenilworth is 15 minutes' drive away with a colossal and atmospheric ruined castle. The famous chocolate box quintessentially English Cotswolds villages are half an hour away by car. Beautiful Tudor Charlcote Park (National Trust) is three minutes' drive away. Barford is a quiet, safe and picturesque village but minutes away from thriving and characterful historic towns. We have two pubs - one is right next to our house (It's not a noisy pub!) and is a real 'locals' pub' with great British beers, excellent Indian food (including takeaway) and a very warm welcome. The other is a 4 minute walk up the road and is more of a 'gastropub'. There is a small but friendly village shop with a surprisingly good array of fresh food, newspapers, alcohol, Internet café, etc. There is a church and a large recreation ground with a newly built, fantastic playground for children and a skate board area. The river is a two minute walk away, famous for fishing. There is a Sainsbury's supermarket approximately 3 miles/5 minutes' drive towards Wellesbourne/Stratford on Avon.

  • We can't speak highly enough of our recent stay at Amanda and Roys , "Hill Farm Cottage" . On our arrival we were greated with a huge smile from Amanda welcoming us to the farm. The Cottage was beautiful set out inside and out, very clean, modern in style and well equipped with everything you need especially if you desire to self cater as we did. Amanda has extensive knowledge of the local districts "visitor" attractions and beyond. Both Amanda and Roy made us feel very welcome and were ready to offer suggestions and assistance if needed. Thank you Amanda and Roy.

The accommodation was so stylish, clean and extra thoughts had gone in , including all we needed for breakfast ... if you like animals like us we got to feed the lambs and meet the other animals it really gave us an extra experience we would not want to miss , but if you just want to chill sitting on the patio, enjoy the Lovely sunsets and sunrises and watch the lambs in the fields. Great location. Left or right out the farm your near the attractions. Loved the area and The Antelope pub 5 mins away , friendly and good food .. Be going back to stay again for sure !

Located in a pleasant village, 15 minutes drive from Stratford, Warwick and Leamington Spa, on the edge of the Cotswolds. Private parking and good bus service. Lovely large, quiet, sunny, top floor room with ensuite bathroom.
If there are 3 in your party, there is a smaller bedroom, with its own bathroom, also available (at a small extra cost). And there's plenty of room for a small child to share the double room with you.
Some great walks (if you like walking) and gorgeous scenery (if you like driving), with easy access to the Cotswolds and Birmingham. Stratford upon Avon, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Warwick are all just a stone's throw away, and all well worth exploring.
