Places to stay in Lompoc
"Stella", our remodeled 1973 Airstream is a 31-foot luxurious rustic getaway set back in a scenic canyon on a 40-acre farm. Outdoor seating and fire pit offer a farm view, fresh air, and stars. Indoor faux fireplace and colorful LED lighting sets a fun and cozy space. Enjoy a walk by the goats, cows, chickens and garden. Firewood is available for purchase. Our farm stand with farm fresh produce is open everyday except Mondays. Tickets for other events can be purchased.
Please note there is no WiFi and very little cell service on the farm. If you require either please do not expect it at the farm and look for another place to stay. Stella the Airstream is located on a organic, secluded working farm. Tucked back against a oak covered hillside it provides all of the amenities of comfort and camping, yet still a short drive to Lompoc, Buellton, and Santa Ynez for wine tasting, restaurants, and shopping. Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo are both an hour away for longer day trips. Stella is perfect for a small family getaway, a couples trip, or a quiet waypoint between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Enjoy an evening or night on the deck under the market lights. Have a campfire and gaze at the stars. Wake up and listen to all of the songbirds, (and chickens), and take a walk around the farm. This is a unique experience that people from all walks of life can enjoy. -There is a small freezer and refrigerator, and an ice chest outside for storing food for longer stays. -Coffee maker, stovetop, sink, cooking utensils, towels, bedding, linens, a small selection of dvd's, and board games are included. -BBQ grill and grilling utensils. -There is a small TV with an HDMI connection and DVD player. -Indoor stereo w/ aux, CD, and Bluetooth. -Heating and Air Conditioning. The shower and bathroom are tiny, but are completely functional.
The airstream is located on a beautiful, secluded, and quiet 40 acre farm in the back of a oak and eucalyptus covered canyon. We have chickens, goats, and ducks. There are dogs on the farm that will come by to say hi and will take a pet or two, they bark at first, but are very friendly. We host interns and volunteers from all over the world that work on the farm with us.
  • Adorable! All of it! The airstream, the farm, the animals... we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Seeing our 8 month old’s smile when 5 huge cows walked past our window was amazing! We enjoyed delicious cheese from the farm stand and a cozy fire outside the homey airstream. Truly a memorable stay!

  • Super cute, loved this little space! Grill, deck with lights, farm stand (not just produce but dairy and eggs, too!), family of turkeys and a midnight visit from three cows on their way home while we enjoyed a bonfire. Remarkably comfortable bed, we'll be back.

  • We had a pleasant stay at Jeremy's. Unusual accommodation, ideal for one night.

  • Great place!

    Maria2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a great escape from the city! The entire set up was very cozy and as someone who loves animals all of the farm dogs, cats, cows, and turkeys were very friendly. The place was quiet at night and very comfortable with a surprisingly robust amount of amenities. It was a 20 minute drive from a very empty beach that just added to the "just getting away from everything " mindset. Honestly I stayed for only one day, but it will stay a memorable one. More than worth the price! Also they sell this garlic bread at a stand near the site that was amazing!

  • Gorgeous renovation, the farm was beautiful. Already looking forward to coming back

    Hanuman2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful farm location, good communication by host, comfortable amenities. Only minor negative was that the fridge wasn't working and we did not receive our promised ice for the cooler and therefore had to eat all of our leftovers that night :-P :-)

  • A special and happy spot - we had a really lovely time around the fire, too. Would thoroughly recommend for a romantic getaway.

  • We had a great time! My sister was getting married and the whole family stayed over. Ed and Rocco were so sweet! They made our trip so much more fun! My mom was a little scared about it because it was her first Airbnb but she completely was fine and enjoyed sharing the kitchen with another great cook. We would definitely come back if we are ever visited the area again. I also loved how I got super fast responses from Alesia and how clean the house was!

    Heidi2020-03-16T00:00:00Z

  • Comfortable stay and beautiful room! Highly recommend! Great hosts!!

    Chris2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Garden room was lovely and the perfect amount of space for me and my husband. The outdoor gardens were stunning and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. Everything was spotless and we enjoyed our stay.

    Courtney2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Harvey and Darlene are great hosts that will share some of the history of the place with you. I asked them to put rose petals for my girlfriend and they did that. They provided a lot of amenities like a microwave, toaster, and snacks so that we felt comfortable staying inside. We loved how we were living with nature and got to walk around the garden. Great stay!

    Dianna2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! Harvey and Darlene are excellent hosts and make sure to have the room stocked with everything you need, plus some! Looking forward to staying with them again when we come back to the area.

    Morgan2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a great space! I made a quick trip with my daughter to Lompoc for a swim meet. Harvey and Darlene thought of everything down to the “to go” coffee cups which were handy when we left early morning for the swim meet! A great space. Small but extremely cozy feeling. And the gardens were beautiful.

    Rachael2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Nice and cozy place with real character and thoughtful amenities. Not much to explore in the neighborhood so be prepared to venture out when you tire of the beautiful gardens (which if course may never happen). Glad I made the choice.

    Bryan2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • I don't really want to write about the fantastic time we had at Harvey and Darlene's, nor do I want to share with the world how warm, inviting and kind they both are. If I write a review saying that this is the perfect little getaway, with lovely amenities and beautiful gardens -- other people will KNOW and book this treasure right up! :) Definitely will be back, and appreciated our hosts, the history of the house, and our perfect retreat weekend.

    Anastasia2020-02-02T00:00:00Z

  • Quiet and Cute. Harvey and Darlene’s place was perfect for our stay in Lompoc. Great location. Nice quiet and clean place. A little piece of Lompoc history too. They even gave us a little private tour. We’ll definitely be back.

    Casey2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful people to work with. Easy check in and out--very clean and a beautiful garden to roam around and relax in. Without a doubt we well be returning to this little unique place upon our next visit to Lompoc!

They have stocked the kitchen with food for a quick breakfast and coffee. The place is in a nice and quiet place. My wife and I loved it.

Stay on a family-owned working farm with an organic garden, free-range chickens, ducks, goats, and dairy cows. Peruse our farm stand. Enjoy the sweeping views of the canyon, bright night stars, and our gentle Mediterranean climate from the large deck. Collect eggs for breakfast from the sweet bantam hens in a nearby coop and watch the cows graze the hillside behind the house. This is a place for dreamers, with space to breathe and simplicity that offers respite from the day-to-day rush.
Take in the bounty of the farm at our farm stand where you'll find fresh produce, dairy products, baked goods, and handmade items all from our farm. Feel free to watch our team as they milk the goats, feed the chickens, and collect eggs in the morning. You can also stop by our trust system farm stand in the evening to watch as we milk our cows.
A trip to nearby Lompoc is ripe for adventure. The town is just 5 minutes from the farm, and the valley offers activities including golf, biking, hiking, surfing, and even sky diving! A stop by the Lompoc Wine Ghetto will offer a taste of the local wines from the Santa Rita Hills wine appellation. Lompoc has space to explore – where Highway 1 meets Route 246. See more at explorelompoc.com.
  • A wonderful place to stay near the coast and not too far from great locations like Solvang. Beautiful place if you love nature, farms and animals. Get ready to be pleasantly surprised at this hidden gem!

  • A very nice setting, away from city noises. Jeremy is a friendly and responsive host.

  • We were in town for a wedding and our stay at the farm was great! We enjoyed the chickens, the cows, and the lovely farm stand. The house was peaceful and relaxing, great amenities, and a wonderful kitchen to cook in. Beds were comfy and showers were hot. Would highly recommend this place to stay.

    Felicia2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place for family vacation. Fun to get eggs and hang around with chicken. Outside fire fit was convenient under full shining stars and fresh air. Thank you Jeremy and can not wait for next visit. I highly recommend this place who seek peaceful few days outing with families.

  • We loved this place. Great value, clean, quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city

    Bindu2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet and peaceful farm stay at a beautiful house full of thoughtful details and amenities like hot chocolate and netflix, dvds, etc. We enjoyed looking at all the animals - chickens, horses, cows, and having the dogs visit us. Love the decor and finishes too.

Simple bedroom w/shared or private bath, depending on room. Shared common spaces. There is an oven, frige & microwave available in kitchen. Walking distance to old town Lompoc, Spanne House Museum and Solvang Brewery restaurant. Short drive to many attractions: Lompoc's famous Wine Ghetto, La Purisima Mission, sky diving, 2.5 mile paved walking/bike trail along the Santa Ynez River, Burton Mesa Chapparal. I'm a Lompoc native and know most of the sights around here. Happy to make suggestions!
Please note that deposit will not be charged unless items are missing/broken, etc. This home was built in the 50's. It belonged to my grandmother, and I recently purchased it. It's larger than it looks from the outside, and has beautiful hardwood floors through most of the common spaces. It has off-street parking around the back. The space has been arranged with both my son and me in mind, and is very child-friendly. Yes, there's a swing in the living room! My home is walking distance to the Solvang Brewing Company (restaurant), old town Lompoc, and the Spanne House. A short drive to local spots like La Purisima Mission, Lompoc's famous Wine Ghetto, many murals throughout town, a hike/bike trail along the Santa Ynez River, sky diving, beautiful flower fields...lots to do here! This home is close to ALL Lompoc attractions and is a short drive to beaches such as Jalama and Gaviota (about 25-30 minutes), or El Capitan and Refugio (about 35-40 minutes).
The neighborhood is mostly very quiet. Occasionally there's a lively party nextdoor, and the karaoke is hilarious! In the summer, my other neighbor works on home improvement projects. Last year it was the roof. This year it is the siding. He seems to take a rest on the weekends. You're likely to hear kids playing out front, especially from this room.

Our cozy cottage on Bell Street in historic Los Alamos is just steps from world-class restaurants, wine tasting, and shopping. Vaulted ceilings in both bedroom and living room, with a private deck.
Great cottage with all the amenities, just steps from historic Bell Street. Located behind the Pico Restaurant and The Los Alamos General Store. The cottage has everything you need: all cooking utensils, comfy furniture, and a luxurious bed.
Los Alamos has been called "Little LA" by many of the wine and food writers that have fallen in love with the town over the past decade. Many LA families have relocated or own second homes here because of its safe, small-town vibe and amazing dining options. Don't miss Bob's Wellbread Bakery for coffee and breakfast, Bell Street Farm and Plenty on Bell for lunch, and Pico or Full of Life Flatbread for dinner. We are also in the heart of the Santa Barbara wine country. Tasting rooms in town include Municipal Winemakers, Frequency and Bedford.
  • GREAT location, super comfortable place. Probably the BEST bath towels of any Airbnb I've ever experienced. Easy, secure parking. Awesome outdoor space. Unfortunately Pico was closed during our visit, but we'll just come back so we can have the entire experience.

    Colleen2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in the cottage was incredible. It was a super sweet space with everything we needed. We had a fire in the fire pit one evening; we loved hearing the chickens in the nearby coop -- the subtle soft sounds of hens (not the raucous squawks of a rooster) -- and we loved being walking distance to everything. It was the perfect combination of feeling tucked away in a quiet retreat but being close to everything. We will certainly return.

    Caitlin2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Will & Kali are wonderful hosts. Just involved enough to be exceptionally hospitable but never overbearing. We so appreciated the glasses of wine in the afternoon after our drive up from LA. The cottage is spacious and comfortable. The bed is comfy and we slept well in the quiet of the neighborhood. Gas stove works like a charm, which made our Valentine’s Day Dinner a snap. And, everything you need for a delicious breakfast is just a block or two away at Bob’s. Thank you so very much for making our stay feel like a home away from home! We can’t wait to come back.

    Cassandra2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Will’s! The cottage was incredibly quaint and sweet and such a fun little hideaway. Would definitely return!

    Chelsea2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Los Alamos is a charming town, the cottage is very cute and the attached restaurant is delicious. A very fun stay!

    Alyson2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay in Los Alamos. Very cute and space is much bigger than I expected!

    Nora2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The location for the Pico Cottage is magnificent--you are dead center in town, and you are directly behind a world-class destination restaurant, Pico. I should hasten to add that the location behind Pico restaurant is only a positive: Will and Chef Drew, both enormously helpful, are right there, and you only have to walk about 10 steps to get to the restaurant. (And there are no adverse noise effects from the proximity--you feel very cosseted and private in your cottage.) And the gardens! Absolutely tranquil and gorgeous. Also, the property is gated in the back, so if you bring your pup, the pup can romp around the gardens unfettered. As to the cottage, it is fairly roomy with a private back patio, the bed is king-sized and very comfortable, there is a working fireplace, and other such amenities. I can't imagine that there is a better accommodation in Los Alamos!

    Linne2019-12-24T00:00:00Z

Welcome to this updated private room with a shared bathroom. There is a shared common space, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, & stove. The city of Lompoc has plenty to do such as skydiving, the Famous Wine Ghetto, La Purisima Mission & a paved walking/biking trail along the Santa Ynez River. There are several nearby beaches such as El Capitan, & Refugio State Beach. Feel free to contact me for any questions, even if related to extracurricular activities.
The room is completely updated. However, the home is still renovating. I have two little but old puppies that are friendly but they love to sleep. Feel free to pet them. It is only me and wife so there should be little noise. If for any reason the dogs might be problem, let us know and we can accommodate you.
There is plenty of great delicious places to eat at such as Herb Home Thai Restaurant, La Botte Italian Restaurant, El Toro Bronco, & Old Town Kitchen and Bar.

Welcome to Bodega House! We can't wait to host you at our charming 1920s farmhouse in Los Alamos. Enjoy the chefs kitchen, private patio and two cozy bedrooms while soaking up Santa Ynez Valley wine country. Our wine and beer garden, Bodega, is also on the property and features a retail shop, bocce ball, and a greenhouse filled with unique plants and pottery. Check it out and relax by the fire pit with a glass of wine during Bodega's business hours.
Our guest house is the perfect wine country retreat. There is no TV in the home as we encourage you to connect with your guests over good conversation, a puzzle, and a bottle of wine. Not to worry, however -- we offer high speed wifi just in case you need to stay connected to the outside world. The private patio acts as an outdoor living room and is perfect for enjoying our beautiful California weather. Please note that our two bedrooms are quaint and cozy, and you will have to pass through one bedroom to access the bathroom. The space is perfect for close friends, families, or couples.
Our magical little town boasts some of the most incredible food and wine in California! Visit our favorite places: Bell's, Lo-Fi, Bob's Well Bread, Full of Life Flatbread, A Tribute To Grace
  • We loved Alana’s place - such a cool stylish place to spend a long weekend in Los Alamos. It’s certainly cozy but was just enough space for two close-knit couples, especially since we were out and about most of the time. The space overlooked the lovely Bodega wine and beer garden and was in walking distance to everything in town, and her recommendations for breakfast and flatbread were spot on. Would stay again in a second!

    Rose2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Cute place in a cute part of town. Good for walking to dinner and drinking wine.

    Janet2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing, clean, cute, great location. 10/10 would recommend

    Gianna2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Alanas space is a true hidden gem within the small (and I mean small), old western-feeling town of Los Alamos. I stayed in the beginning of the week in February, which I wouldn’t recommend as many of the restaurants/shops are not open for business. Most spots are open Thursday-Sunday this time of year. But overall, I had a very pleasant stay. The beds were very comfortable, the water pressure was sufficient, and hot water seemed to last for the length of a normal shower for about 3 people. I will definitely be coming back to stay in the near future.

    Andrea2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at the Bodega House. So many thoughtful touches and the location was very convenient. Highly recommend to those who love wine too!

    Louise2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great curated airbnb that we will definitely stay at again. The real highlight is sitting next door by the firepit at Bodega. Really incredible space.

    Ron2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Alana’s place! We were a group of 2 couples and were sad to only be able to stay one night. The little house is so well decorated! The bottle of wine and espresso machine were great extras. And having Bodega right next store is a nice extension of the house, they have some really nice wines! Los Alamos is a great little town, definitely check out Bob Wells for excellent baked goods and breakfast. As mentioned, there is on bathroom that is located through one of the bedrooms, so for a group of four this might be more suitable for a short trip rather than a longer stay. For a weekend with close friends, it was perfect!

Our Vandenberg Village Villa is the perfect retreat for your Central Coast getaway. Easy access to all regions in the Santa Ynez River Valley. Close to wineries. The house is situated in a Country Club setting next to the Golf Club. Very quiet location on the end of a cul-de-sac with lots of nature in a park-like setting; however, there are _No_ Coffee Shops or Stores nearby since we are _Not_ in the middle of a City. PLEASE use our 3D crosswalk painting as a marker for the correct driveway.
We welcome you for a stay in our private guest room that has a King size bed and is suitable for two guests. The recently remodeled room is light and bright with a lovely view of the backyard. Fully remodeled bathroom with double vanity sinks and a large walk-in shower with glass enclosure is directly across the hall. This bathroom is exclusively for this guest room and is not shared with anyone else. Small desk, chairs, and a closet with lots of storage space are available in the room. The bedroom is upstairs on the second floor. The home is suitable for small children since all staircases have been closed off at the top and bottom with gates.
Vandenberg Village is a largely residential area North of Lompoc with just a few stores and restaurants about a 5 minutes drive away from the house. All major stores and larger restaurants are in Lompoc along H Street and around Ocean Avenue which is a 10 minutes drive from the house.
  • Steffen greeted us as we arrived and he was very welcoming. Upon entering we met his two charming little children, and 3-year-old Oliver gave us a tour of the place. Loved it! The place is very comfortable and it feels like you are staying in a first class hotel with additional benefit of full kitchen access. Well equipped with all amenities. Would definitely book again.

    Malvina2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Steffen greeted us at the door even though we were late to arrive, and the house and location are lovely and secluded, a quick drive from excellent local landmarks and we will absolutely be staying again in future.

    Richard2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Olya & Steffen was better than we expected. The pictures are 100% accurate, lovely home, nice touches, and very thoughtful hints. Somewhat out of the way but 100% worth the drive. Will be staying again when doing the LA to San Fran road trip.

    Scott2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice place. I love the space we have and our own private restroom. I enjoyed the place. I would recommend

    Olivia2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Olya & Steffen’s house is beautiful! The bedroom and bathroom are lovely and had everything I needed. The bed is very comfortable and I felt at home in the room. I didn’t meet Olya however Steffen was very helpful about things I could do in the area. I didn’t use the kitchen except to make coffee and get yogurt which was provided by Olya and Steffen. It was a lovely experience and I highly recommend staying there.

    Moz2019-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful and place and I highly recommend it. It is spacious, clean, and very modern! Steffen was a wonderful host (didn't get the chance to meet Olya). He warmly greated us when we arrived, gave us a tour of the house and saw us off when we left. He also took pictures of us in front of their lovely house, and on their fun 3D painted crossing! Would definitely stay there again!

    Varun2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect place for staying when roadtripping the coastal highway 1, it's like 5 mins away from the highway. Olya and Steffen are so friendly and helpfull. There isn't much to shop or visit really nearby, but that's something they warn you about so it is what it is. Highly recommended

    Thijs2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Steffen and Olya were very prompt with their responses and very accommodating of fluctuating schedules (we arrived around 12 am but were still welcomed). Check in was easy. Room was just as pictured. Very clean. Steffen was very friendly and let us help ourselves to some food and fruit in the kitchen. The house has labels everywhere and is easy to navigate around. Very comfortable bed and peaceful location. Just as the description says it is about 10 minutes away from the closest stores but not much of a hassle. All in all enjoyed our stay and definitely bang for your buck.

Enjoy the peaceful countryside in a charming 1964 Little Dipper vintage camper tucked away in a small canyon on a 40-acre working farm. The camper is refurbished with lovely aromatic cedar woodwork, a handmade dining table and comfortable queen bed. Lots of windows and colors make for an airy and bright space. It is powered entirely with solar for LED lighting, colorful accent lights, and outlets. Disconnect and enjoy the campfire, stars, farm animals, and fresh air. Only 5 min from town.
Our farm was founded in 2009 as a small scale egg farm. Our farm has free-range chickens, ducks, goats, dogs, organic produce, and work stay guests from all over the world. Our work begins at 8am during the weekdays, and between 9-10am on weekends. The property is mostly quiet, with very little use of tractors or other heavy equipment, and sweet working guard dogs that protect the farm. The farm is nestled in the back of a canyon with old growth oaks and eucalyptus. We strive to provide a peaceful, relaxing, and friendly environment. The night time stars and morning bird song make the farm a magical place to live, work, and host new friends.
There is an abundance of great hiking trails and bike routes here on the Central Coast. A few beaches are very close, as well as a hot spring. The area around us is known for great wine. There is a location in Lompoc called the Wine Ghetto which is a collection of wineries, tasting rooms, and wine cellars from vineyards in the Santa Rita Hills. There is a great local coffee shop in town for WIfi as well. A guide to the local area is provided in the camper for suggestions on restaurants, bars, local attractions and activities.
  • Cozy place to stay. Loved the trailer. Had everything you need! Will definitely come back again.

    Carmi2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • This camper is magical! The inside is renovated so thoughtfully and creatively, it feels so much like an escape to spend a night in it. The hustle and bustle of the active farm is also very charming. Highly recommend staying here!

    Kristy2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an absolute dream! There’s a farmers stand on the property where you can pick up fresh veggies, cheese and bread. It was a perfect spot to decompress and truly feel at peace.

    Rachel2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and easy to find ! Will stay here again !

    Matt2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time staying in an camper through AirBnB and I wasn't disappointed. It's a very simple and economical option for lodging set in a beautiful farm. It is adjacent to a large vegetable garden and a self serve market stand a hundred feet away that offered all kinds of produce, eggs, honey, and cheese, all from the farm. I will definitely be back!

    Bryant2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • It's a great place to get away from the city and stargaze. The pictures and description just don't do it justice. The space did not feel cramped at all and there were plenty of small additions that made the space more like home. The only downside would be that the bathroom and shower are outside but they are close by. I would definitely book again.

    Ivan2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a fun and unique experience. Total gem of a find. Super inexpensive and the kind of thing that keeps you grounded when you wanna get out of town and get off all your connected devices. Downtown Lompoc is only miles away and has eating, supermarkets...really anything you would find in a decent size city. Beach was close by too. Highly recommend it. Jeremy was a great host as well. Had everything all set up when I arrived. Easy peasy

Three TVs with all the channels, lightning fast Internet, and a well-equipped kitchen keep our rustic farmhouse from being We're also smack in the middle of the charming western town of Los Alamos, within a stone's throw of nationally acclaimed restaurants, charming wine tasting rooms, fun antique shops, and a growing, vibrant community. Ask about options for air beds for kids, which are available at an additional fee.
Los Alamos is a very charming old western town, a former stagecoach line stop... and our front yard has the stagecoach to commemorate it. It's great for selfies. Walk to many great restaurants and tasting rooms, like Full of Life Flatbread, Casa Dumetz Wines, Plenty on Bell, Bell's, and Pico. We are a stone's throw from the Union Hotel and Bodega, where many weddings are held. We are 15-20 minutes from several lovely towns and villages like Los Olivos, Solvang, Buellton, and Santa Ynez, full of tasting rooms, art galleries, and more great restaurants. If you need a Target or Trader Joe's, Santa Maria is a larger city the same distance away (just head north instead of south on Route 101). The Santa Ynez Valley and Santa Barbara County are full of fantastic vineyards and wineries, with tasty wines and friendly people. It's like a tiny Napa with none of the attitude. We have many more great winery recommendations for you, just ask!

We live on the bottom floor and are here to help. Let us know if you need anything.
The unique three story Geodesic dome, "Toad Hall", with a two level duplex/apartment is available for vacation rental on rustic five acres. The top two levels are available as a rental. The owners live on the bottom floor. Enjoy a gated, double-fenced equestrian property located in the Santa Rita Hills wine appellation, in the beautiful Lompoc Valley. Centrally positioned between San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley this location is ideal for exploring the Central Coast of California and is only 2.5 hours from Los Angeles and 5 hours from San Francisco. There is wine tasting at world class wineries, surfing and swimming at local beaches, boating and fishing on Lake Cachuma, hiking at La Purisima Mission, and playing golf at La Purisima golf course. The dome has views of La Purisima golf course which is 2 minutes away and rated #2 of California public golf courses. La Purisima has hosted PGA qualifying tournaments. Festivals, theatres, and bird watching, at one of the largest undisturbed wetlands, are popular attractions. These are only a few of the many activities the Central Coast offers. At the dome, experience relaxed rustic country living. Feeding the fish in the large koi pond with water fall is a great way to unwind. Also, there are excellent summer camps for children available in the area on a weekly basis. Cycling is very popular throughout the Santa Barbara County. The main floor of the dome apartment/duplex has a living area and bedroom area with a Franklin stove for heat, flat screen television nook with couch, two bathrooms, a balcony and deck. The top floor is a large loft space with full kitchen and great room with lots of house plants. The large deck off the main entrance has two separate stair entrances, one with six steps, the other with ten steps. The two story dome duplex/apartment sleeps 4. There is a California King in the master bedroom, a couch upstairs, and two couches downstairs. The dome duplex/apartment is 1800 sq. feet. Friendly dogs okay. Pets must be with owners at all times. Dogs can not be left in the dome without the owners present. It's a peaceful and renewing space. Unfortunately, our dome is not baby safe. We are not able to allow children under five years old.
  • Catalina and Chris are wonderful and gracious hosts. The property is beautiful and private and picturesque and yet close enough to town for convenience. The Dome is comfortably decorated and cozy with a wood burning stove. This is a perfect place for anyone to truly enjoy themselves. Our hosts could not have been more accommodating.

    Alan2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED the Geodesic Dome House and Chris and Catalina were great hosts! First the house: It was amazing! There’s a beautiful fountain to greet you as you mount the stairs to a beautifully decorated deck that overlooks the scenic horizon of rolling hills. Inside the house is an art gallery! On display were many amazing paintings and photos. We spent quite a bit of time just walking around admiring them. The floor plan has many spaces with great views. There’s also grand piano that really wants to be played! Near the piano and right before the bedroom space there’s a wood burning stove. Chris had a fire going in there for us when we arrived. It was lovely and toasty! Across from the bed was a little balcony that faced the hills. It’s perfect for watching the sun set. We also sat out there at night with our dogs and listened to the owls and admired the starry sky. It was quite romantic!

There’s all sorts of books of so many interesting topics! Be sure to look for the Grimm’s Fairy Tales book and read the inscription at the beginning. It’s very sweet. They have an entertainment area with a large screen. We plugged in a Raspberry Pi to it and played video games on it. And there are also two very special toys you can play with in this area. But I’m not going to say what they are because I don’t want to ruin the fun of discovering them yourself.

And for my sewing friends reading this…they have an antique White on display! It was really cool to see that! There’s a huge loft where you’ll find a big well stocked kitchen. Don’t plan on going out to eat if you stay here. Just bring ingredients because you’ll enjoy cooking here. There’s also a large dining table and another great seating area to relax. While the house is nearby a lot of great places to visit I literally spent the whole weekend at the house! It was a great place to just relax and recharge!

Our dogs loved it too from the moment they got out of the car and met Mozart (Chris and Catalina’s dog). There’s five and a half acres for them to play on. We played catch and took walks down the drive way to see the two friendly horses there. But I think their favorite part was the stairs to the loft. We live in a single story house. So once they got the hang of the stairs, they loved going up and down. But they spent most of their time sleeping in the different patches of sunshine in the house. We’re looking forward to when we come back and stay again!

    Kris2018-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This house is AMAZING. Me & my husband loved, loved this place instantly when we arrived. The Dome is located on a big piece of land that is not only scenic outside, but gorgeous and well-equipped inside of the dome. Numerous towels and shower essentials, coffee cooking wares dishes etc. Bring your groceries so you don’t ever need to leave the house! Who wants to go to the city if you have this sweet place! My dogs love this place and we even said goodbyes to the horses the last day:’(

  • Catalina and Chris' Geodesic Dome in the hills of Lompoc was a fantastic and convenient weekend getaway for us. Not only is staying in a dome a wonderfully unique experience on it's own but between the horses, the big piece of land and it being dog friendly, it really impressed beyond what we expected. Also Chris and Catalina are incredibly gracious hosts making sure that we had everything that we needed.

    Adam2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved the geodome home. Such a cool idea. Neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The front deck, balcony and French doors were lovely. I loved listening to the birds each morning and lighting the fireplace each evening. Had a great time.

The place gets cold during the winter months so make sure to let Kay Kay know about turning up the heater. Kay Kay responds fast.

We offer 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a large living and dining space. Our rental is an in-law suite with its own entrance. We are located along Hwy 246, conveniently situated near renowned wineries, the beautiful Danish Village of Solvang and also near Vandenberg AFB and the Space X Launch site. It's quiet, beautiful and relaxing here. Trust me, you'll like it!
Our space is located in the heart of the Santa Rita Hills. Just minutes to Solvang, we are situated between Dierberg Starlane And Foley Estate Tasting Rooms. We ourselves are transforming our own 10 acres into a Farm Distillery and tasting room. Our rental is 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a large living room/kitchen. We can sleep up to 8 guests. One bedroom has 2 queen beds. The other has two twin trundle beds. Can sleep four total but you should know that when the trundles are out, there is little room to walk around. The bathroom is basic. Clean with a shower and tub and toilet. The space is tidy and minimal with just the right amount of quirk (check out our inherited ceiling lamps!) We've taken care of everything (towels, coffee maker, extra blankets). It's the perfect spot for a girls weekend, family trip or couples getaway! You have the proximity to all the Santa Ynez Valley has to offer, while staying in a picturesque and remote location. We share a few of our favorite activities, restaurants and wineries in the house manual.
Rolling hills, oak trees and vineyards....what can I say, we like it! It's relaxing and quiet if you stay in, and if you venture out you can check out the local attractions: - World class vineyards and tasting rooms - Charming Danish village of Solvang - Wine tasting and fine dining in Los Olivos - See and hear Space X rockets launch from nearby Vandenberg AFB (you can watch launches from the front yard) - 20 minutes to nearby beaches and 35 minutes to legendary Jalama Beach (famous surf and burgers)

Cute 1939 cottage in the heart of the California Central Coast wine region. Nestled in Lompoc, gateway to the Santa Rita Hills AVA (world class Pinot,/Chard). Walk downtown, Wine Ghetto (19 tasting rms) 3 minute drive, Surf Beach/Ocean Park 8 min., additionally, it's just a short, beautiful drive to Solvang, Santa Ynez, or Santa Barbara.
This wine country cottage features a lovely large side yard, ideal for inviting your fellow traveling companions from their conventional accommodations over for a backyard barbecue feast on a warm summer evening. The perfect way to finish a day of exploring wine country.
The cottage is situated in a quiet neighborhood on the south side of town. There is a school across the street, serving kids ages 11 through 13. Twice a day (around 8 AM and 3 PM), the kids arrive and depart, so there is a temporary increase in foot traffic and auto traffic. Lasts about 15 minutes.x
  • Matt and Linda are excellent hosts! There was an issue with the heater and Teresa brought over extra blankets right away, and an hvac tech was out the next day! We had our family Christmas here and everyone loved hanging out in the backyard, sitting around the fire pit. This home always turns a stressful family vacation into a nice home away from home for us. Can’t wait go to back!

  • Matt and Linda’s cottage is bar none our favorite place to stay when in Santa Barbara wine country. The house is awesome, comfortable, and Matt & Linda are excellent and relaxed hosts. Super communicative with quick responses, and very easy going. Their house is perfect for breakfasts before wine tasting, and late night movies on their nice big TV. A favorite feature for us is the fire pit! We always enjoy a nice fire and glass of wine when we stay there. Our favorite Lompoc spot!!

Cottage had pretty much anything you needed, while you are staying there! The comfortable beds were a plus, but top seller for this family, the back yard. THE INSPIRATION Los Alamos is surrounded by farms and wineries. The land feels vast and open. Minimal in color, but rich in texture. I visited New Mexico at the same time I was contemplating the Alamo renovation. I found a very similar feel there in the light and colors and its Western culture. I was deeply inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s home in Abiquiú. Her simple yet intelligent use of plywood was so intriguing that I wanted to incorporate it into the Alamo somehow. I had our woodworker, Shaun Wallace of Gopher Wood Design, mimic her plywood dining table design into desks, small tables and benches. We also decided to do the floors in plywood, to keep the texture rich and the colors minimal. Meagan Donegan did all the prints in each room and lobby. Her artwork is the perfect fit, as a nod to the agriculture and farmland in the surrounding areas. We used lighting from Atelier De Troupe to give the rooms an elegant yet simple feel. ABOUT LOS ALAMOS The Alamo Motel is located in Santa Ynez, two and a half hours from Los Angeles – it feels like a modern and cozy ranch-style getaway. In the evening guests enjoy a communal fire pit and a wine bar hosted by Municipal Wines. Grassy areas for picnics and long, lazy lunches with swings hanging from shady big oak trees surround the property. This tucked away, friendly community offers quality wines, authentic antiquing and tasty slow-foods in about the span of three walking blocks. With a quaint cowboy mystique and relaxing quiet like no other place, it has its own starry history; the 1820’s saloon in town played host to Johnny Cash where he performed in the 50’s and was the site of Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson’s “Say, Say, Say” music video featuring Linda McCartney. With wine country just a few miles away, there’s a little something here for the discerning tripper. Places to check out and eat nearby: Bells Restaurant Bob’s Well Bread Municipal Winemakers Full of Life Flatbread Bodega Casa Dumetz Wines The Trail Master Babi’s Beer Emporium Plenty on Bell Presquile Wine Valle Fresh Tacos Lo-Fi Wines RESERVE A HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE HOTEL ROOM The Alamo Motel in Los Alamos, California accommodates guests with disabilities. • This place was everything I dreamed of and more! It is in the most adorable town and the motel was perfect for my road trip up the coast. I also was pleasantly surprised to have a small wine tasting room just steps from my room and fire pit! The decor was urban/simple/clean and the motel is walking distance to so many delicious restaurants. I will be making this my regular vacation spot from now on.

  • This little cottage with great views and amenities was the perfect place to stay to relax. If I’m ever in this area I would love to stay here again.

  • This is a cute cottage to stay at close to Buellton and Solvang. Cottage is nicely decorated and quiet at night. Pence Winery across the highway is a great place to stop (albeit with a reservation) for wine tasting.

  • Great place away from the hustle and bustle.

  • If you're looking for a great cottage, look no further! We loved being in the country! The outdoor fire was so warm and cozy. Sitting on the chairs listening to the crickets at night was so peaceful! We went on a nice evening stroll and enjoyed viewing the stars! We'll definitely be coming back to this darling cottage in the country!

  • Great place to stay for those who are looking to unwind, relax and be close to the land. We loved this charming 2 bedroom house which sits right smack in the middle of a working farm and ranch overlooking pristine views of the valley and Buellton farmlands. Kitchen is fully set up to cook should you want. Place also has a great and easy to use outdoor firepit to hangout u der the stars. Owners were very friendly and attentive. Walking distance to Pence Winery (literallyright across the 246 fwy), which offers great wines - reservation required. For the money you'llbe hard pressed to find a better place in Santa Barbara County wine country.

    Travis2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The ranch house is adorably decorated, and has a wonderful little patio area with a fire pit, BBQ, and picnic table - the view of the rolling hills was gorgeous!

  • Jacqui and her husband have a wonderful place! It is close to several surrounding towns, and the night views are amazing!

Nestled in the heart of Santa Ynez Valley surrounded by the Santa Rita Hills. During your stay enjoy local wine tasting, take a short drive to the city of Solvang known for its old world charm offering antiques, Danish imports, and specialty shops, or just taking a drive to see the spectacular views. At the end of the day take a step back in time, our “Bunkhouse” is a historical seed barn that was built in 1912. End the day watching the sunset on the deck situated off of the Master retreat.
  • Location is awesome! The theme was great!! Quiet and absolutely enjoyed our stay. Bring own spices and comforts of home like coffee. Other than that was beautiful!

    Andria2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our party of 6 really enjoyed staying at the Bunkhouse Ranch. The kids had fun making Jiffy Pop popcorn on the antique stove and on top of the old wood-burning pot belly stove. The bunkhouse has three large beds that easily can be shared to fit more people along with a comfortable couch and cushioned benches lining the living room. The extra blankets came in handy and the central heating kept us all warm throughout the night. The kitchen provided skillets, pans, cups, plates, silverware, a huge antique fridge, seasonings and everything else we needed to make our own breakfast before adventuring our. You just have to bring your own food (there is an Albertsons about six miles away). The view from the master bedroom was amazing with the open green fields bordered by the lush mountains. Watching the sunset from the back deck was absolutely magical. It is very quiet outside and the skies at night are covered in stars. It’s also in the perfect location to visit many tourist attractions in the area. We highly recommend Flag is Up Farms, Ostrichland, Solvang and Lake Cachuma. The host Michelle was very helpful and responsive to all our questions super fast. We are very happy we chose to stay at Bunkhouse Ranch for our trip.

  • Fun western feel with plenty of space to hang out in wine country.

    Jessica2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful experience here, the hosts were very quick to respond to any questions we had and went out of their way to accommodate our group. The area is very beautiful and secluded.

  • Place was fun to stay at, very western. Family was friendly and welcoming. Quiet and serene.

  • WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY AT MICHELLE'S PLACE. VERY QUIET DISCREET, SPACE BIGGER THAN EXPECTED IN SPITE TO BE JUST 1 BATHROOM, NEED TO COORDINATE TRIPS TO IT THOUGH NOT A BIG DEAL TO US. JUST PERFECT FOR 6 PEOPLE. BUNKHOUSE IS LOCATED SOME MILES OFF FREEWAY. VERY CHARMING, RURAL FEELING. WE'D COME BACK FOR SURE.

  • Jose is an amazing host! Super friendly and always available to answer any questions you might have. The house is beautiful, bigger than expected and it’s located in one of the most breathtaking landscapes out there. This place was exactly as advertised plus more. Secluded from other houses, but still close enough to stores, restaurants and only about a 10 minute drive from Solvang. Perfect for getting away from the city life for a few days. I would definitely stay here again!

The bungalow is on the desirable south side of Lompoc - a safe, quiet neighborhood.
  • A wonderful sanctuary nestled within the hills of wine country, the perfect place for a break from city life - time stands still here! The backyard and nearby park make it amazing for dogs too!

  • This cottage is cute, cozy and comfortable. It is nicely furnished, sunny, and offers a lot of privacy for a quiet retreat. Matt and Linda were super hosts and we had a wonderful stay there.

    Loren2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Matt and Linda were extremely responsive within minutes of my request . They had a two night minimum requirement however I reached out and asked if it would be possible to just do one night since I was coming up and going back for a quick work trip and they were more than generous and made it possible for this to happen . They also allowed me to stay later than the normal check out because they didn’t have a guest coming back that night which they did not have to do! It’s such a very cute little place, my dogs loved it and the fire pit was such a relaxing thing to come home to. I’ll definitely be booking with them again!

    Kelley2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Pleased with the location and amenities. Very helpful and responsive. Would stay there again and again!

    Carrie2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a great little house! We stayed here during our transition from California to the east coast and spent two weeks here. Pet friendly with a great yard. We loved the fire pit and the amazing trees in the backyard which hosted all sorts of birds including lots of Hummingbirds. Inside, the house had everything we needed for a long stay. The only thing we had to bring was food! Lots of thoughtful touches throughout made this house feel like home. Matt and Linda are great hosts! Very responsive and friendly. Overall, a five star experience!

    Andrew2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • This beautiful little gem, is located within minutes of restaurants, wineries and the beach. GREAT outdoor areas for sipping and eating in the patio. Wonderful shower too. Matt and Linda have thought of everything you will need on your getaway. Would visit again!

    Toni2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really nice time here! Lompoc is pretty quiet but we walked around and saw the murals and took a day trip to SLO and had a very nice weekend away.

Great Location....Newly remodeled bedroom in an adorable home with a private entrance in a quiet neighborhood walking distance to downtown Los Alamos, CA. Close to wine bars, unparalleled restaurants, events and festivals. You’ll love the pool and the vineyard. Cleanliness is top shelf and handled by a professional cleaning company. Fantastic views and spacious outdoor areas. Great for solo adventurers, business travelers, romantic couples or for fun.
Rolling Hills (west facing room) Coffee nook with Refrigerator [coffee maker and hot water kettle] Skylight Coffee and Tea included No TV in room Private stair entrance with key & separate key for room Room is on second floor, 20-25 steps to get upstairs Use of garden and pool (only when accessible and during daylight) - no light in the garden and pool. Los Alamos is a quaint adorable vintage little town with antique shops, wine tasting, event venues, and the famous Los Alamos days [in September - a two day event]. Being in this small town feels like you are back in the old wild west... salon bars...something quite picturesque and memorable. The neighborhood is quiet and very friendly. Please note that quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am.
  • Stylish, clean space on a nice piece of property. Quiet street, nice views, ample parking. The shower was huge and had great lighting. Coffee, tea & granola were nice touches, along with a visitor’s booklet & brochures of local things to do. Pretty quick drive up the freeway from where we wanted to be. Would stay there again!

  • Claudia's place is sparkling clean. It was very close to the main drag in Los Alamos, which was perfect for me as I was attending a wedding there. The kitchenette in the room was great to have. Mattress was a little too firm for my liking but not terrible either.

    Irina2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little place in a cute little town. And Claudia also left us a bottle of wine.

    Jennifer2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, immaculate, conveniently located. Stylish space with nice art. Bathroom well appointed. Enjoyed my stay.

    Alice2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A great guest suite in a quite town of Los Alamos. Modern, comfortable, cozy, warm with nice touches. There are two fantastic places to eat in town Bell’s and Bob’s bakery. Do not skip them! I would recommend this place to anyone.

    Anna2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot! I traveled to Los Alamos/Los Olivos area with my boyfriend and this was exactly what we needed. Private entrance up to our own bedroom and bathroom(stunning bathroom with a large shower). Great value and we had everything we needed. Will absolutely come back and stay with Claudia again. Best part? Walking distance to Bob's Bakery, an absolute must if you are in the area.

    Rebekah2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay at Claudia's place. So peaceful and walking distance to Los Alamos's foodie happenings if you want to walk. Super clean with a Euro vibe stylishness. Nice wet bar niche with mini fridge, tourist info and some board games too. Short drive to the wineries throughout the SYV or 45 mins to St Barbara or Sam Luis Obispo if you need some "big city" action. Would definately rent again.

Simple room with shared bath (hardly used, really). This is the largest room in the house and offers built-in cabinets and drawers. Full access to the common areas. Well appointed kitchen has oven, range, microwave, and two refrigerators! Access to in-house laundry room, living rooms, dining room, yards, etc. I'm a Lompoc native, so I know all the sights and I'm happy to make suggestions and give you any information you might like.
It's mostly pretty quiet here. The nextdoor neighbors sometimes have parties, and the karaoke is hilarious! It hasn't bothered me yet!

PLEASE NOTE: This is a PRIVATE, but simple bedroom! Two other bedrooms may have guests as well. Spanne House (historic home/museum) and Solvang Brewing Company (Restaurant) are both a short walk from here. Great hiking trails, skydiving and the most restored California Mission are all a short drive. I was born and raised here in Lompoc...in fact this was my grandmother's house! I'm happy to answer any questions you may have, or make recommendations. Enjoy your stay!

The bed is actually a CAL-KING, so it's really good sized. You could squeeze an extra body in if so inclined. This particular room is quirky, but I like it! It's the quietest in the house and the window opens to the indoor patio/play room.
I love that I'm centrally located to just about everything in town. Everything is within walking distance (if you don't mind walking) or a short drive, if you prefer. The hardwood floors are beautiful and I'm pretty fond of my evolving "atrium," which is great for yoga, dancing, and playing with my son.
