The property is a self contained oak-framed barn. The Barn is situated just inside the entrance to Leigh Woods National Park and overlooks beautiful open countryside and the woods themselves. The woods boast excellent walking and mountain bike trails. The Barn is a five minute drive / twenty minute walk from Clifton village and a ten minute drive into Bristol city centre and harbour side. There is a bus stop a short walk away with direct links into Bristol city centre / bus / rail links.
The Barn is open plan and is only two years old. It has a king size oak framed bed. There is a bathroom with a walk in wet room / shower. There is a fully fitted kitchen with fridge / freezer. The Barn has Sky tv including all sports and cinema channels accessible on a 120” cinema and surround sound. There is Netflix and an Amazon firestick and also a large collection of dvds. Outside there is a large decking area overlooking open fields with a private hot tub. The Barn is safe and secure and resides behind Forestry Commission gates which are locked from Friday evening through to Monday morning. There is a gate key for guests.

  • Couldn’t recommend this converted barn enough, so lovely! All the little added touches we’re so nice. Being at the entrance of the woods is the best too as you can go for lovely walks there. There’s so many things you can do around the area. Photos don’t do this place enough justice, honestly so nice. Me and my partner will definitely be returning.

Our private romantic Eco Cabin with compost loo & outdoor shower, lies at the bottom of our large garden and was originally built for our Mum to have her own space, away from the chaos of three children at home and a busy working life. It was built with a deck that over looks the river frome and the local lake. It is the perfect space stay to de-stress. You'll be able to come here, play your favourite music and relax in an incredibly comfy bed before exploring the vibrant city of Bristol.
Our Cosy Cabin has a large double bed with four fluffy pillows and an electric blanket for added warmth. We pre heat the Cabin so that you're as comfy and cosy as you can be from the moment you walk in. The compost loo and hot shower are both situated just outside, in their own huts on the deck. Please come with an open mind, there is a slight chance of spiders. They are not to the liking of everyone and we suggest coming with an open mind. There are slippers available for guests to use when stepping outside to use the facilities. We supply clean towels and shampoo etc. We also provide tea and toast making facilities, you'll find a small trolley filled with various teas, coffee, sugar & jams. We supply cutlery, glassware & mugs for each guest. We want our guests to visit the cabin as a 'get-a-way', to take some time for themselves and enjoy their surroundings so for that reason, we do not have a TV. We do however have free WIFI and a stereo for you to enjoy your own music or tune into the local radio. There are books to read and colouring pens and pencils too. The Cosy Cabin is decorated in our mum's own unique style, she had an eye for antiques and interiors. In the summer guests often open up the doors and lay in the chaise lounge reading a book from Mum's collection. If you're coming for a special occasion, please let us know if there's anything we can do, i.e, cool a bottle of prosecco or leave some rose petals on the bed.
The Cabin is located on the edge of a City Park at the bottom of my large garden, there is a side entrance the door has a key code for security. This is a very safe Neighbourhood, the street is part of a large post war cul-de-sac built to house teachers from the nearby private school. It is a short walk to a small shopping centre and two lively communities with local restaurants and pubs. It is close to two cycle paths, with direct access to pretty walks and historical woodlands, yet still very close to the city. The front of the house is ordinary but the rear is extraordinary (Narnia )
  • Ruby's place is fucking fabulous! I cannot recommend it enough! She goes the extra 100 miles to make it unique and cozy for when you arrive, with truly thoughtful touches that no one else thinks to do. She is thoughtful, creative and caring in her work, she creates a truly luxurious and memorable experience. Cannot recommend enough!

  • Relaxation and cosiness. This is a retreat from the hustle bustle and Ruby is a wonderful host. You will feel so relaxed staying here.

    Priscilla2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Really cute place, easy to find good location and quiet for being so close to centre of Bristol. Very warm and comfy bed. Nice waking up with the trees in our view.

  • Great little place to relax at the end of a busy day! Cozy and quiet little cabin, easy to park and get in.

    Jenni2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great space - highly recommended!

    James2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Ruby's cabin is absolutely wonderful! Quiet, cosy and quaint. Many quirky touches throughout thanks to her mum's funky design philosophy :) we had a great view over the river frome and the lake, and the lake is only a short walk to get to, and makes a nice stroll. The toilet and shower may not be to everyone's liking but didn't bother us in the slightest, I even had an shower in the evening where various critters were ambling around. We would recommend this lovely place to anyone, and also have to add that Ruby is a wonderful host, extremely accommodating and helpful. Hope you enjoy your stay if you do choose to stay there, we definitely did!

    Alex2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable and tranquil. Would loved to have experienced sitting outside on a fine evening as it looked inviting but the weather was against us.

    Bridget2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and my 8 year old son, my grown up sauger and almost two year old granddaughter stayed for three days this month. Ruby was extremely accommodating and had made up an extra bed for my daughter, the children slept with me in the large bed and there was plenty of room. The cabin was quirky and cosy and had everything we needed, the deck outside, overlooking the river and pond was beautiful, we could hear the dull sound of traffic but the surroundings meant we forgot about it. I especially enjoyed my morning cuppa sitting out on the deck. The outside loo was fine but maybe not to everyone’s taste, the shower (also outside) was not working and so Ruby allowed us to use her house bathroom whenever we needed, and it was much appreciated. We were a short drive from the centre of Bristol which we know well, we didn’t use public transport but I’m sure it is available. We would most certainly stay again, Ruby was friendly and very hospitable. Fresh water for drinks and a kettle with a selection of teas and coffee was available in the cabin. Wonderful little place for a peaceful break away.

  • Delightful house and has everything you need. It is also very warm and cosy, and for the price, there are no complaints.

    Alex2020-03-09T00:00:00Z

  • Awesome Eco apartment to stay in

    Rebecca2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • A very cosy and well presented place to stay. Close to local amenities we explored a bit of Bristol and was close to most things in a car.

    Natika2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place to stay and a bit different - basically exactly as described and in the photos!

    Seiriol2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We booked the TAM as a fairly last minute booking as a birthday weekend stay. The description of the location is accurate and it is situated within a gated community centre with secure locked gate system. The TAM provides everything we needed to just walk in and live for the weekend. We chose the TAM as are very interested in Eco friendly and sustainable living and this didn't disappoint. Even the paint on the walls has been created from natural materials. There is a supermarket only a 5 minute drive away so we were able to cook our own meals with ease. A very comfortable stay in a very clean and unique property.

  • Wonderful stay in Bristol. I had a 2 day training course to attend at the Marriott hotel and found the studio to be within very close proximity. Parking wasn't an issue as I arrived after 5pm and was gone before 9am so could park right outside. The studio is simply beautiful and I love the decor. The bed was snuggly and very comfortable, the shower was powerful and with underfloor heating in the bathroom I didn't feel cold at all. I was extremely impressed with the variety of cereals, teas, coffees, hot choc and even little marshmallows! After a full day of travelling and training it was so easy to relax here, I just wished I could have stayed longer. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A lovely double room with its own landing and bathroom in a classic Bath stone fronted house in the elegant Cotham area of Central Bristol. The room has a large, comfortable bed.
A large room with a comfortable super king size bed on its own landing with a private bathroom. The room is on the second floor and the bed is a low one so the accommodation may not be ideal for guests with mobility issues.
Cotham is a lovely late Georgian/early Victorian area of central Bristol with easy access to the business, sightseeing and shopping districts as well as Bristol University, the Bristol Royal Infirmary complex and the BBC.
  • We had a wonderful time at Sue's. The house is located perfectly in Bristol. Sue and her husband were super nice and really relaxed and made us feel at home. The room and the bathroom are beautiful, super clean, quiet and warm. I can highly recommend staying at her place, we really didn't want to leave!

  • Great spot to stay for a night in Bristol. Walking distance from the coach station where we arrived and near all the cafes and restaurants of Stokes Croft as well as into the centre of town. Easy check in and nice touches of tea and juice in the room for the morning. Super comfortable bed and quiet area so we slept really well. Would highly recommend.

  • This Airbnb is close to the centre (though down steep hill) and convenient for local amenities. The room itself is clean and comfortable and is afforded a private bathroom. Sue is a lovely host and we’d recommend this to anyone visiting Bristol for a long weekend.

    Gavin2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely Airbnb experience. Sue was there to meet me when I arrived, the room was huge, the bed was very comfy, you get your own bathroom and even breakfast provided for the morning. Everything you could need and in a great central location.

  • Superb hosts, 5 star spotless boutique hotel !!! I especially like the very good quality white bed linen and ensuite bathroom and chocolate brownies. Stayed here on numerous occasions so highly recommend !!

  • My friend and I stayed at Sue’s in order to take in a show that evening. We were welcomed by Sue’s husband and met Sue latterly. Both lovely people. The space is beautiful, very comfortable and in the perfect location to explore Bristol. Lovely pub just round the corner and not far at all from the city centre, but far enough removed to be peaceful for a great night’s sleep! Thank you both and highly recommend!

A stylish and comfortable one bed flat just off the bustling Gloucester Rd with its great range of independent shops, bars and restaurants close by. We don’t charge extra for cleaning etc. 20 mins walk into town and close to great local, national and international transport links. This is a vibrant central area but a fairly quiet road with everything nearby. Children are welcome but we have no child locks etc. Parking can be difficult during the day but usually OK in the evening and at weekends.
This is a self contained flat with its own front door. We live in the house above so we're very happy to offer any info about the area or what to do. The flat is on the ground floor and has a small paved outside area too. There is one bedroom with a double bed and also a comfy sofa bed in the living room. There is a bathroom with shower and bath and a well equipped kitchen. The road is quiet and free parking is available on the road but it is often difficult to find a space. We use Egyptian cotton bedding and provide basics such as tea and coffee, shampoo etc. If you want more than one bath sheet each please let us know. We are happy to get any shopping you want in advance for payment when you arrive. A fold out bed or travel cot can be provided for children if required. Please let us know when you book. We are happy to accept bookings that are longer than a month but just let us know first. Thanks
The Gloucester Rd is a few steps away and we are lucky enough to have some of the best restaurants and gastro pubs nearby. It is the longest road of independent shops in Europe and has a really good selection including a couple of good supermarkets within 5 mins walk, as well as bakers, butchers, fishmongers, green grocers etc. There are also some great retro, vintage and charity shops. The flat is a short walk away from Gloucester Cricket Club which hosts local, national and international matches. We have a Bannatynes Gym with pool close by with membership available by the day. There is a great blog about all the lovely places to eat locally in the flat too. We can send the link if you'd like to plan!
  • Had a lovely stay at Cath's place. It's a good size for 2 couples for a night or two and has everything you need - even some homemade marmalade in the fridge. Location is also fantastic for shops, cafes, pubs etc. and the price is more reasonable than many other places. Would stay again.

This cosy farmhouse cottage has a private entrance with wood-burning stove and a period kitchen. Relax and unwind in this rural setting, just a stones throw from Clifton and Bristol's historic docks. The stable door leads out to an enclosed courtyard and rambling garden, with the occasional hen and duck for company.
The tiny cottage was the original Georgian farmhouse for the land stretching beyond us, up to the Ashton Court Estate. We live in the adjoining timber framed extension having a separate entrance to the Cottage to ensure total privacy. Parking is available on the shared driveway and we can also store bicycles if you want to make use of the nearby mountain biking trails. The cottage is set within a large kitchen garden which you are welcome to wander in. We enjoy a unique location which offers all the beauty of a rural hideaway, yet we are sat on the doorstep of the vibrant city of Bristol, separated only by Brunel's Suspension Bridge and the Ashton Court Estate.
The cottage sits within a conservation area, surrounded by farmland. Simply cross the road to visit the 13th-century church, and the Angel Inn, which offers hearty pub grub. Stroll 5 minutes to the Ashton Court Estate, with its bike trails and tearoom.
  • Excellent place, really tranquill and close to Bristol. Great hosts and lovey touches in the room; one of the best places I've stayed in using Airbnb

  • We had an absolutely lovely stay at Kat’s place! From the delicious homemade sourdough bread to the gorgeous walks around the area, it was wonderful. Highly recommend!

    Paula2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic little place to stay and perfectly connected for access to Clifton and Bristol. Particularly enjoyed the log burner and the ducks! The cottage itself is beautifully presented and Kat really went the extra mile providing fresh food for breakfast and helpful instructions about where to eat and getting around. Would definitely recommend!

  • Booked for 2 nights away in Bristol but didnt want to stay in a typical apartment. This was perfect. This place had character and has had a lot of care and small details placed by the hosts such as a welcome booklet with everything we needed to know. Its also in a peaceful and quiet location. Beautiful place inside and out and there was help when needed. We were also recommended places to eat and things to do! The cute cat was a bonus.

    Gary2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • This air B and B was so lovely and well thought out. The fresh eggs, granola and milk provided were lovely! Great location and an ideal place for a couple of days break. Angel inn just across the road also does a delicious Sunday roast. Would definitely return, such a nice place!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the flat was warm and comfortable, and we had two excellent nights' sleep. We particularly enjoyed the fresh eggs, local sourdough bread, jams and delicious (best ever!) homemade granola for our breakfast. This all added up to a very special weekend, thank you.

    Nicola2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a loveley stay, the breakfast granola, bread and eggs were a loveley touch. Kat and Olly provided helpful tips and made us feel welcome. It was our first time in Bristol and we hope to visit again.

We were there for a running weekend and did Ashton Court parkrun and then the Ironwood Challenge whichs started in the village. Easy bus route into Bristol so hardly used the car at all . Would certainly stay again when in the area.

  • My partner and I stayed one night at Penny’s place as a quick romantic getaway and we wished we had stayed longer. The conversion was perfectly secluded and peaceful, the space cosy and welcoming. Penny was lovely and seemed to have thought of everything- we weren’t expecting to be able to cook a full breakfast in the morning! Also highly recommend the village pub around the corner, the food was great and we were lucky enough to catch a fantastic live music night! We loved our stay and will definitely be coming back!

My daughter and I, plus a dog and 2 cats ,live in our 17th century farm cottage and we welcome any guests who come and rent a room with us. The house is surrounded by fields but within walking distance of Bristol. At the end of the lane there is an excellent pub that serves good food and local beers and cider. The cottage is ideal for city breaks being just 5 mins drive from the city, great for stop overs before or after flights to or from Bristol Airport and room to park.
Lovely country get away far away enough from the city to be beautifully peaceful but close enough to experience the wonders of Bristol. The cottage is at the end of a rural lane, with a farm, church and historic pub all close by. How about a Winter break close to Bristol, supper in the cosy pub at the end of the lane or a visit to one of Bristols excellent theatres or a meal at the many a very varied resturants in Bristol? All this can be done from the cottage.
Peaceful village full of friendly people, with a fantastic local pub at the end of the road. Also in the village there are a few lovely places to eat including other pubs, lovely Indian restaurant and close to other options in Bristol. 10 minute drive from the airport and the city centre. Easy free parking just outside the house. With good bus services Perfect peaceful location!
  • This place was perfect! Just what we wanted. My boyfriend and I came down for the Bristol Balloon Fiesta. We weren’t able to book for camping but luckily found this great stay which was just perfect from start to finish. With a lovely warm welcome allowing us to get in before 3pm which was when we thought check in was. Penny then showed us round making sure we new where everything was in the house. She made us feel so welcome in her home. Very glad we didn’t camp as the fiesta was rained on for Saturday. However Penny gave us plenty of information on things we could do around the area. We ended up going to Noah’s Ark Zoo which was great! I would definitely recommend staying here. Whether your down for an event or just a weekend get away with a loved one this is ideal. We where only 10 mins away from the main town however there is a friendly local at the end of the road if you don’t want travel far. We will definitely be returning in the future.

  • Lovely tucked away location which was still very handy for the city centre. Stayed here while visiting our daughter who is at Bristol University and it was approx two and a half miles from her accommodation. Penny’s house is absolutely lovely and the bed was so very comfortable. We also had a private bathroom with everything provided and enjoyed a delicious breakfast the following morning. Will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone.

  • Would definately stay here again. Tea, coffee and prosecco on arrival. Penny really helpful and polite and booked a taxi for us. Lovely bed with clean bedding and towels and a lovely quiet location. A short taxi ride to the airport too and Penny let us leave the car there all week which was very kind.

  • Penny and the cottage are an absolute find for Airbnb and us, and is a credit to Airbnb. Friendly welcome, full of conversation, splendid period cottage, beautifully furnished, comfortable and clean room and bathroom complete with toiletries. Bed very comfortable (so comfortable I couldn't encourage my wife to the local and recommended pub as she got too comfortable! Breakfast was plentiful and Penny was accommodating of our needs, willing with information on Bristol and helpful with having gone through the dropping your child at Uni which is what we'd just done! We will most definitely be back. Long Ashton is well situated for being not far out of the city but lovely and rural and quiet but both the city (walkable) and the airport are in easy reach. Thanks Penny, see you again.

  • This was a fantastic place to stay, for just a couple of £ more a night, than a shared dorm room in a backpacker hostel I got a lovely little room all to myself. There was a laundry room with free use of a washing machine and tumble dryer plus an iron and an ironing board There was a large kitchen which was cleaned regularly by staff ( although at the time I stayed there was one young guy who insisted on making as much mess as possible and leaving it for others to clean ) But this wasn’t the fault of the property As it is a shared space it is the responsibility of the people staying there to tidy up after themselves I found the WiFi to work extremely well although I know some people higher up in the building we’re having problems with signal strength but you can always sit in the lounge and kitchen and have a strong connection There was also a lounge with tv And you could have mail sent there If you needed The check in process was extremely easy and the ability to extend my stay was a great addition I was overall very happy with my stay and would definitely return if and when I was in Bristol again

  • The stay at Debbie and Mo's Home was fantastic. I felt like home at the time I came into the flat. I had really good talks with both of them and I would deftenitely recommend them as super hosts! The room is comfy and the whole flat very modern. Next bus stop is 5min walk away and takes ~30min to the city centre. Bristol is wonderful, if you like to visit, go to Debbie and Mo! :)

Welcome to our Chalet Bungalow. We have lived here 10 years & created a green space with a pond & decks where once there was just concrete. We share our home with two beloved rescue cats, Cocoa & Spart. There is space for your car off-street & free street parking. We have 2 double rooms with double bed & another single room (separate bookings) Tea, Coffee, Cereal are provided for your breakfast. This room also has a pull-out mattress so 2 friends can share ( +6) but it is cosy!
The Kitchen is available for breakfast provided, all guest welcome at breakfast. We have a microwave if you want to heat something to eat in the evening- this is only for guests staying more than 1 night. We are happy to make you a tea or coffee on arrival.
Our nearest place of interest is Kings Weston House & park. It starts at the end of our street and has open green space, wooded walks, a grand house & a charming cafe.

Large double room with view and 95% private bathroom in quiet village of Long Ashton. We are near buses which run frequently in to Bristol, the cycle network 33 (334) passes by our house and we're only 5 - 10 mins by car/taxi to Bristol Airport (4 miles). Near us are lovely walking routes, a golf course, mountain bike trails, shops, parks and pubs. A great place to stay minutes from Bristol but away from the hustle and bustle and if you're lucky, we often have home made breads and jams too!
Our house is situated in Long Ashton and overlooks fields so is lovely and quiet. It's a new house in a fairly new development and a very quiet area. The room is a large double sized bedroom with a large double bed and a futon bed, plenty of cupboard space and a fab view over greenbelt land. There is also a private bathroom with a bath and shower. The room can accommodate more than 2 people if needed. Though the price for our room is quite a bit lower than others around, it doesn't mean the room or house is any less nice. We in fact think it's nicer than most around and have simply kept the price low as we both do not work full time at present and as we enjoy hosting.
Lovely quiet area with great local pubs, small convenience store, a park and plenty of places to walk to like nearby Ashton Court or Leigh Woods, a golf club, tennis club (£5 per hour) and mountain bike tracks. The neighbours are nice too.
  • Very good value! Timo is very friendly, open-minded and flexible host. The accommodation was sparkling clean, comfortable and quit.

    Jan2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Out of 5 stars... I would give 10! Amazing place, familial environment, quiet and peaceful for nice rest. Timo has been responsive to all request and even proactive on the helping us. More than a recommendation, is a place to be, a must! Since it is a bit out of the city, you need to consider a budget for the transportation, but it is easy accessible and about max 10-20min from city center. There is no near by shops the I am aware about, but easy delivery at home. Two thumbs up!👍🏼👍🏼

    Amin2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • It was a lovely house, very clean and hospitality was great.

  • Big room, comfortable bed, almost private bathroom. Nice hosts. I recommend.

    Adam2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect! Timo, Claire and Lucas are a lovely family and were very welcoming. We received great tips for Bristol, the house was very clean and pretty. The room is big and the bed is cosy, everything that we needed was there. The location is great since it is a calm, safe neighborhood, but the bus station is very near and it doesn’t take long to get to the center of Bristol. High recommendation!

    Lea2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely recommend this place! Claire and Timo are very nice and welcoming, I had a wonderful stay. It was very easy to go to Bristol with buses coming every 15min!

    Myriam2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Timo and Claire are brilliant hosts (good conversations), and their little boy is very sweet, gifting our girls a little Christmas present. The place is very clean with thoughtful touches (hairdryer, toys and Christmas books out for the kids). Very accommodating and brilliant communication. We shall also return when we come to Bristol to visit family.

We live on a friendly, family oriented cul-de-sac that benefits from stunning views (that can be seen from the garden and surrounding fields). No through traffic for a quiet night's sleep. During the day the kids are out playing on the street, a mixture of council and private tenants occupy the terraced houses.
  • Wonderful stay. Katherine and Jayme were kind, helpful and welcoming. The room was spotless and they were so accommodating about using their kitchen. Easy public transport from the train station and around Bristol. Highly recommend. And their dog Roxie is a sweetheart!

  • Very nice stay experience, location is easy to find, parking is available at the door, and the surrounding environment is very peaceful and quiet. There is a supermarket not far away. The neighbors are very friendly and will invite you to play together in the evening. The home is clean and very warm. Bathing is very comfortable. By the way, there is a super cute dog. Perfect stay experience! Thank you Catherine and Jamie for your hospitality. Everything is perfect.

  • Amazingly hospitable hosts,; very informative and helpful in every possible aspect. Convenient location just outside of the city centre, with the bus to the city centre only taking 20mins. Everything was super clean and cozy, even providing tea/coffee, basic breakfast essentials and use of the kitchen and living spaces. Highly highly recommend if you're ever planning on staying in Bristol!

  • Katherine and Jayme are incredibly friendly and chilled out. Very easy to talk to and helpful with suggestions about the local area. The room is cosy with exceptional views across Bristol and the Clifton bridge. Their dog is super friendly and apart from getting pestered for strokes you wouldn’t know she was there too.

Renovated studio apartment situated in three miners cottages. Built in eighteenth century. It has a double bedroom, kitchenette with microwave, hot plates and small fridge (No oven) It also has a shower room and toilet with a selection of towels. Guests are welcome to use top garden which over looks Long Ashton and has fantastic views. The house is 4 miles from air port is and 4 miles to Bristol centre. It is walking distance of woods . All guests must provide a picture and government I.D.
This apartment is situated in a 18th century detached cottage over looking Long Ashton and surrounding areas . This is in a sought after semi rural country village . The apartment has its own access. The flat feels very calm and relaxed with lots of natural light to bedroom area. It has its own kitchenette with wooden floors and eating area. In addition to this there is a shower room with toilet and sink which is for guests sole use. The bedroom has a double bed and has recently been redecorated and carpeted. There is parking to the front of the property. People are also invited to use the top garden . It too over looks the house and has fantastic views. Great place for eating and relaxing .
This is a sought after country village which is four miles from Bristol city centre, and historic harbour side with SS Great Britain, and two miles to iconic Clifton suspension bridge. It has benefits from country air and relaxed pace of life combined with the convenience and close proximity to a vibrant city with extensive facilities for everyone. The immediate area, has three local pubs within walking distance, two golf courses, cycle paths and mountain bike tracks. Wraxall estate is also very near. There are woods at the top of our road, and close by are Leigh Woods and Ashton Court Estate which hosts many activities throughout the summer such as kite festival and balloon fiesta. (Balloons came over our home this year) plus other fantastic things that go on such as upped at,open doors, arts trails, German Christmas market. It is also near to Clevedon, Portishead, Bath and Weston super mare. Bristol also has a selection of theatres and provide indoor and out door events. Plus there are great bars and restaurants in various areas and a variety of shopping facilities both independent and mainstream. Bristol is fab city which caters for everyone's needs, wishes and preferences. It is near to junction 19 on M5, ten minute drive from Bristol airport , it has a regular bus service and a park and ride service. The village also has takeaways, co-op and a visit to local off licence which is called The little tipple as well as a farm shop nearby and has two leisure centres, plus activities which take place in the village hall.
  • Set on a steep hill with on-street parking on a fairly busy village through route, the flat is accessed up steps at side of owners accommodation. We were blown away by fresh fruit and pastries, milk, crumpets and a good choice of beverages. We didn't cook as visiting families, but everything there to prepare a meal in a compact kitchen/ dining room. The bedroom has good views over the valley, small TV and the bed was soft but comfortable. The bathroom at the top end of flat (that is set into a hillside) is designer standard. Lots of quirky design was a theme of flat, with handrails from pieces of wood, handmade table with map of France, heated towel rail from 22mm copper piping. The quaint Miners Arms close by worth a visit, not least for draught Doom Bar from a barrel propped on bar. (Cash only, good music and an interesting exhibition of iron ore mining in Long Ashton.) I would go again.

It's a very cozy and bright room in a shared house. The entrance is difficult to find, please check "Read more about the space" section, and in the photos section there are some maps to help you. The main advantage of this room is the location: many shops around, buses 24h, airport at 25 mins by bus, and city center at 25 mins walk.
The room is small but cosy, with a comfortable single bed, table and office chair, wardrobe, etc. Please don't ask if a second person could sleep in the room, or in a sofa, it is not possible, sorry.
The Bedminster train station is at 5 mins walk and Temple Meads is at 15-20 mins walk.
  • Basic but clean and in a convenient location. Also very cheap! Thanks Alberto!

  • Checking-in was painless, and the room was small but cozy. Great for a brief stop in your journey!

    Frederick2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I was really impressed with my stay. The room was good value for money, warm, clean and very helpful hosts. I was especially happy with Alberto’s flexibility for my check out time. I would definitely recommend this place and it’s not to far from Bristol city centre.

    Elina2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Alberto was very helpful to assist me in checking-in the accommodation. The place is sufficient for a short term stays. Simple and clean room. It’s a place shared with 4 other rooms. Entrance looked a bit dodgy especially late at night but instructions on how to find the place was very clear. Walking distance to the bus stop and shops. Only issue I had was that the other housemates were making some noise late at night while I was in bed. Perhaps it was just a once off. Overall pretty happy for the price I paid. Thank you Alberto for also helping me store my bag. Daryl

    Daryl2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The room is little but comfortable, very warm and sound isolated from outside. The floor is a little noisy but as a lot of other flats, and happens to hear other people chatting, but it's not a problem. I've been there 1 week, I enjoyed my permanence.

    Daniele2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Alberto was very nice and provided assistance to a great extent. The house is cozy, clean and it's located in a nice area. There's plenty of options to move around. Would stay again for sure!

This is a small room overlooking back garden with a view to distant fields. It is small but perfectly formed. It is a small double bed of high quality. There is a desk and wifi. There is a cafe (The Old Library) a three minute walk away which serves food and has an alcohol licence. There is also a gourmet pub (The Bird in Hand) which is a five minute walk away. Long Ashton sits at the bottom of Ashton Court, the top side of which is Clifton. This is a 10 minute drive away, but a bit complicated by public transport.

Newly decorated bedroom with comfortable double bed in a Victorian house not yet as freshly decorated as the bedroom (!!). Bedroom is quiet, not overlooked, thick curtains. Big bathroom (shared). I can leave out a basic breakfast incl. dairy/oat milks. Message if you want to cook (usually ok). Windmill Hill is quiet but well connected: Victoria Park at one end of the street, pub & train station the other, by foot bus stop 3 mins, North Street 10 mins, city centre 25-35 mins.
The guest bedroom is newly decorated with a new, comfortable, Eve mattress double bed and carpet that is like angels caressing your toes. There is an extra foam mattress under the bed with single bedding if there is more than 1 of you staying. The workstation is surprisingly comfortable for the trendy looking wooden-ness, the WiFi is fast, and the room is light and bright in the day and well lit by various lights at night. The curtains are thick, not that you need them as there's no street lights or people to see in. In brighter seasons you can see a lovely colourful garden that I work on regularly and have lots more planned. In winter it is not very exciting. There are UK sockets, universal sockets, USB sockets, and spare USB-C and iPhone chargers in the room. The bathroom is recently repainted with a big bath or good pressure hot shower to choose from. Towels, toiletries, and hairdryer provided. Also a garden view. The rest of the house is clean and functional but a work in progress: kitchen, dining room, hallways patiently waiting their turn for some TLC. This is an old Victorian house and comes with the usual creaks and wonkiness, but has been recently re-plumbed, has decent heating, and I hope looks after you well during your stay with me.
Windmill Hill is a quirky part of Bristol. There's a farm not far through the park. People are lovely, local pubs are good, and the street is quiet. Occasional trains but I can't hear them at the back of the house and they stop at night anyway. Many places are walking distance, and I am very well served by public transport to the city centre, Temple Meads station, or the airport. Uber/Ola are usually quick and easy to get. Parking! The streets are free but narrow and busy. I cannot guarantee a spot right by my house, but parking nearby is usually achievable. If you have a big car or can't parallel park very well please do a bit of parking research before booking. General rule for life is to not walk through ANY park in any town or city at night, but a special call out because Google maps will send you through the shortcut from the city centre...it is a beautiful park and I walk through it every day but not right through the middle of it alone at night :-)
  • Absolutely wonderful host and house; spotlessly clean and a home from home; would like to have stayed longer, but was already booked up.

Very nice neighbourhood. On local bus route about 30 minute bus ride from city centre. I work full time so I’m only around evenings and weekends. I live with my 12 year old son and have a partner which is here weekend Small modern cosy house . Would prefer females only.
Small modern and cosy lovely back garden which is beautiful in the summer. Very private
On bus route to Bristol Airport about a 20 minute drive
  • Claire was a great host. I was able to use the kitchen whenever I wanted, preparing hot drinks, my lunch for the next day and could make my self a meal if I wanted. In Bristol for a course Claire’s place was ideal. I met her lovely family and would highly recommend Claire’s as a place to stay.

  • Claire is an extraordinary nice and polite host. I recommend her.

    Alexandra2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Claire and her family will welcome you with open arms they are incredibly nice people. You can use all of the house as if it were your own. I was cooked for and also allowed to help myself to breakfast food, fruit and vegetables even chocolate which goes over and beyond a normal air bnb stay. The house was spotless and decorated lovely. My room had lots of storage and the bed was very comfy. You can watch tv or films and chat with the family in the living room. I felt very at home. Transport is easy getting the 75 bus into centre from cheddar grove 5 mins away. There is also a Co-op 5 mins away. I would 100% stay again. Thank you!

  • I've spent two really great weeks at Claire's place. In this pretty and comfortable house lives a so welcoming family, open minded, generous, communicative and truly kind. I couldn't have found a better place to stay in Bristol. The bedroom is cosy, warm and nice. There's a bus-stop to the center or the airport three minutes walk from the house. Bedminster Down town center is five minutes walking, with another bus to the center, so don't worry about the location. I absolutly recommend !

Thankyou Claire and hope to stay again when needing a room in Bristol. All best wishes Judy
