Come stay at a relaxing small cabin nestled into the woods. Sitting on picturesque 7 acres, there is a large lake at the back of the property. Very Private and a quiet place to stay. Screened in back porch. There is an espresso machine and a French press, breakfast included.
This cabin was built by the Amish and it sits on a wooded 7 acres. There is a seasonal creek on the property, and a very large lake that is accessible by foot at the back of the property. There are bluff views as well. A dozen chickens live in the woods, and can be heard while sitting in the wonderful screened in back porch! There is 1 bedroom and two sleeping lofts. One of the lofts has a full mattress (sleeps 2), and the other loft can sleep an extra 2 people if you bring an air mattress. This is a wonderful little retreat for the weekend!
Brand new construction, tastefully decorated. It was super comfortable. The space was perfect for our three person family, but even more could stay especially if your group includes kids. The free range chickens were a really fun touch as well.
This Bed and Breakfast is a freestanding building on a 100+ year old Greenhouse/ floral business. The structure was formerly a floral cooler to house rose stems after being harvested from the surrounding greenhouses. The kitchen and eating area have all been updated with high end appliances, full size convection oven, induction cook top, super quiet Bosch dishwasher, and wall mounted flat screen TV.
Close to all the town has to offer.
The floral cooler was the perfect place to stay for the summer. Would highly recommend it! The place is updated with new appliances and has plenty of space. The whole place was welcoming and clean.

We were surprised to have the entire place to ourselves. Brandi had a nice set up and had laid out stuff for us (toothpaste, soap, snacks, etc.). Madisonville and the people in it are super nice. So if you get a chance, and Brandi’s place is available, make sure to stop in for a day or two!
Country location near Dawson Springs, Kentucky. One mile from Dairy Queen and nine miles from Pennyrile State Park.
Beverly and Billy have been married for 56 incredible years and were amazing hosts, the epitome of Southern Hospitality. They made sure we were comfortable at all times and made us the most incredible breakfast including, eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, pumpkin bread, and special STRAWBERRY BUTTER, which we didn't even know was a thing. Bri and I came to Dawson Springs to watch the total solar eclipse of 2017, and it was absolutely magical. Beverly and Billy made us feel like family and we all experienced the eclipse together. If you are passing through this area of Kentucky and you need a place to stop, do it here. They are only a few miles off the interstate and would love to have you!

Perfect place to watch the eclipse!
I guess what I loved was the solitude. My main reason for staying was to see the eclipse and it was wonderful not to have to battle the crowds. There are trails to walk through meadow and woods. The cabin itself is quaint and primitive and I enjoyed experience. All cooking is over the fire or on a charcoal grill. The wood and charcoal were provided. There is no refrigerator so we bought what we needed just before we arrived. The bathroom is inside and includes a shower. The host was very friendly and helpful. The cabin is run by generator which our host kindly provided as well as an air conditioner which was greatly appreciated.
