Our comfortable lodge is located at an altitude of 800 m, surrounded by nature. A unique experience, during which you will be lulled by the beauty and sounds of nature. Ideal for a couple or small family, the apiary is a warm cocoon that will help you take a soothing break. It is also the starting point for beautiful hikes in the Vosges Mountains.

The "Barn" is is part of an old "forgeron" or blacksmith's property - it has been lovingly renovated to preserve all of it's original charm whilst providing an idillic setting to discover the Alsace wine route. Comprising of 2 generous master bedrooms with en-suite and a large open-plan living / dining and kitchen area on the ground floor leading out onto a wooden deck , perfect for enjoying the Alsace climate and local wine . Apartment on the ground floor of our personal house (footsteps upstairs because it's an old house with a wooden floor), private parking and possibility of garage access for motorcycles and bicycles. Ideal for walkers and skiers in winter (15 min from Schnepferied ski resort). Small shops in Metzeral located 3 km away (bakery, pharmacy, supermarket) and 10 km from Munster, the nearest tourist town. Possibility of having bread delivered to order.

The perfect place to rest or hike! Wildlife is visible around the house. Nearby farms offer local produce. Allow 15 minutes by car for traditional shops. Our cottage is equipped with dry toilets. It is not safe for young children and babies.
