  • Beautiful property in an excellent location. The Chapel was easy to find thanks to clear instructions sent before our stay, and it was very clean and cosy, with plenty of space for eight people. The only slightly annoying thing was the shower in the annexe, which was breaking, but it was still useable so not too bad. Check in was very simple - we were even left a cake as a welcome gift. There are plenty of lovely walks nearby plus an amazing pub. We had a really wonderful weekend here. Thank you!

  • Lovely space. We were a group of eight so the size was perfect. The main bedroom and annexe are great sizes both with en suites and the other two bathrooms are still a comfortable size with a good sized family bathroom. Garden is gorgeous and would be perfect for summer, sadly the weather didn’t allow us to enjoy it. Kitchen is a great size and very practical. Local pub the Falcon is very welcoming and great food- highly recommend. Overall a fab stay.

  • We had a great stay at The Chapel, the property is stunning and the process from booking through to arriving was very easy. The space works really well for a group of 8, with both the kitchen/diner and lounge being good communal spaces. The enclosed garden was also great, especially for the dog.

The Studio is a cosy single storey self-contained annexe to the owner's house in the Cotswold village of Poulton. Double bedroom, en suite shower room, fully equipped kitchen/living room with sofa bed, private courtyard garden. WiFi, underfloor heating, freesat TV, parking. Basic breakfast included. Great village pub nearby.
Bed linen and towels are provided. On-drive parking is available for two vehicles. The property is adjoined to the owner's family house, but is completely self-contained with its own access. There is space to store bicycles securely (behind a locked gate). To the rear there is a small, private courtyard garden. The property is self-catering but the cupboards are stocked with items for a basic breakfast, plus tea and coffee. The property is compact but well-equipped and newly decorated and furbished throughout. Everything is brand new and clean: the conversion was completed in January 2016. It will sleep two comfortably. There is also a double sofa bed which will sleep a further two people, but space is very limited when the sofa bed is extended, and it is a bit of a squeeze. Please also be aware that access to the toilet and shower room is through the bedroom. Babies and children of all ages are very welcome.
The village of Poulton has a shop, a well-equipped children's park, a church and a fantastic dining pub, The Falcon Inn, which is renowned for its quality food (booking for dinner, particularly at weekends, is advised, as they are often fully booked in advance). Poulton is also home to Performance Cycles (cycling club), and the area is very popular with cyclists at all levels. The village is well situated within the Cotswolds, 5 miles from Cirencester, 3 miles from Fairford, 4 miles from Bibury, and within a half-hour drive of Cheltenham, Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford, Malmesbury and Bourton-on-the-Water. Oxford, Bath and Stonehenge are all within an hour's drive. Kemble train station is 10 miles away, with the journey to London Paddington taking just under an hour and a half. Beautiful countryside is on the doorstep - just step outside and start walking! Nearby attractions include the Cotswold Wildlife Park, Cotswold Water Park (with watersports and a beach), the famous village of Bibury (described by William Wordsworth as "the most beautiful village in England") with its trout farm, Cirencester with its boutique shops, spa hotel, gastropubs and historic architecture, Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm Park, and Swindon's Steam Museum and designer shopping outlet centre. Oxford, Bath and Stonehenge are all within an hour's drive. National Trust attractions include Chedworth Roman Villa, Buscot Park and Hidcote Manor Gardens, and the fantastic Westonbirt Arboretum is also nearby. Local events include the Royal International Air Tattoo in July, the Cheltenham Gold Cup and Cheltenham Festival in March, the Cotswold Show in July, Cirencester's Phoenix Festival (family music weekend) in August, and WOMAD world music festival in July. Westonbirt Arboretum holds autumn colour events, and Colesbourne Park holds snowdrops walks in the winter.

  • The house is about ten minutes drive from Byblos. It is very convenient to drive to the town during the day. The rooms are the same as the pictures. The rooms are small but they should be there. It ’s just that it ’s really crowded if you want to cook by yourself.

  • The cottage was spotless and seems new, location to the village was convenient. The closest grocery is about 15-20 minutes away so stock up before you get there especially if you plan to eat at home sometime.Kitchen was well equipped. Very nice and cosy for a couple.

    Nishant2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • To call this place outstanding would be underselling what my experience was. The cottage was more than comfortable, we immediately started referring it to home. Immaculately clean with nice touches like the towel warmer, a comfortable, a true Queen sized bed that was comfortable beyond expectation and a very simple check in process. This was way beyond expectations and nothing I would ask to be modified. In the village it was conveniently located steps from The Swan which provides a great location for pints, breakfast, dinner, whatever was needed that day. I had considered staying at The Swan and fortunately didn't as it would have been a mistake to miss out on this cottage. If you are out of country looking at this location (I am from Canada) do not hesitate to jump right in and book. It will meet your expectations and more. Personally I hope to get the opportunity to stay again.

My place is close to Fairford centre and the river Coln. You’ll love my place because of lovely walks and being at the gateway to the Cotswolds. Pubs and an Italian restaurant close buy. Coffee in the square plus supermarkets and Pharmacy. The Bull restaurant and hotel can give you a full English breakfast and Lynwood for good coffee and sourdough bread and croissants.
The shower room is newly refurbished I provide coffee and tea and a kettle in the room.
It is a short walk to Fairford centre with a pub, places to have coffee and cakes and charming old village houses. The Church has some of the oldest stained glass windows in the country.

Winterberry Cottage is ideally located for exploring the many beautiful towns and villages of the Cotswolds, as well as further afield places, such as Bath, Oxford and Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon. The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
  • Beautiful cottage, in a beautiful location! Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a cozy, wholesome weekend stay.

  • What a lovely house, in a beautiful town. Has all the modern amenities, with all the charm of an old house. The host had a Christmas tree and other decorations set up in the house - we really appreciated that effort. Everything was perfect. Wifi is slow, and cell phones are spotty, but that's something out of the owner's control, and it was nice to be a little out of touch with things. I would highly recommend this cottage, and hope to return some time.

    Poulton, Cotswolds, United Kingdom

Beautiful 18th-century Beehive Cottage, in the Cotswold village of Poulton, sleeps 6 guests across one king-size, one double and one twin bedroom. The cottage has a very well- equipped kitchen, a spacious living room with an inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove, a separate Snug with a work area, a spacious family bathroom with a bath and a downstairs shower room/utility. Outside is a large, pretty garden and off-street parking for two cars, with free on street parking readily available.
Introduction As you pull onto the gravelled drive at Beehive Cottage, in the village of Poulton, you’ll immediately feel a sense of serenity as the history and beauty of the cottage greets you. It is an archetypal Cotswold property, built in the 1760’s with Victorian additions – the type of home you see featured in property magazines and wish you could stay! The owner has renovated Beehive Cottage very sympathetically, maintaining the traditional character of the cottage yet providing every modern convenience with a contemporary but stunning interior design – including richly pigmented, eco-friendly Farrow & Ball paints - plus everything you need for a thoroughly pampered, self-catered Cotswold holiday. Beehive Cottage’s front door is framed by wisteria and passionflower, with thick swathes of lavender in the garden’s raised beds, attracting butterflies and bees in the summertime. French doors open from the Kitchen-Dining area to an outdoor seating area, which wraps round the cottage to further seating and a barbecue. Steps leads up to a lawn, with mature planting, and a second large table, where you can sit and enjoy the last rays of evening sunshine looking back towards the cottage. The traditional character of Beehive Cottage, including a stunning inglenook fireplace (with a secret stone staircase behind winding up to Bedroom 3), original oak beams and exposed Cotswold stone walls combines fabulously with the carefully chosen modern amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen with 6-ring hob, a shower/utility room, a family bathroom, WiFi, a Smart TV, Bose speaker, a Snug with work area (for guests who have to check in to the office) and exquisite, decorations throughout the cottage that have been hand-painted by the owner. Poulton is a small but thriving Cotswold village with a traditional British pub, The Falcon Inn, serving British modern food, and featuring locally brewed cask ales. The village has a church (St Michael’s and All Angels) and a children's playground and playing field, called ‘Englands’, directly across the lane from the cottage. A traditional summer fete is held each year on the first Sunday after the August Bank Holiday. The closest food shops to the cottage are in Fairford, approximately 3 miles away (see ‘Local Amenities’). Two sofas and an armchair provide comfy seating for six guests to watch the Smart TV and enjoy the wood burning stove, while a window seat is the perfect place to perch and read a book. During renovation work, a stone stairway was unearthed behind the fireplace, leading up to the twin bedroom; providing a fascinating glimpse into the cottage’s past. (Although the staircase is open, the owners do not recommend using it as it is steep, narrow and uneven. A lock is provided on the twin bedroom door to prevent younger guests in that bedroom from using the staircase.) The cottage’s main staircase leads up from the Living Room to the three bedrooms and Family Bathroom Turn left down two stone steps to: The Snug-Study A delightful room between the kitchen and Living Room featuring flagstone flooring with a cosy, richly coloured rug, a desk (with pens, paper and colouring pencils), an antique glass-fronted bookcase with novels and local guides, and a two-seater leather sofa and an armchair with a footstool, perfectly placed to watch a meal being prepared or relax in the quiet of the Snug. The cottage’s Hotpoint washing machine is in this room, along with an outdoor and indoor airer for drying clothes, an iron and ironing board. Upstairs Stairs up from the Living Room lead to the carpeted landing and the cottage’s three bedrooms: Bedroom Three The first bedroom at the top of the stairs is the pretty twin bedroom, with exposed oak eaves, charming artwork, two single beds and a day sofa, all carefully arranged to provide plenty of room to walk around. The bedroom is furnished with bedside chests and lamps, a corner hanging rail, and a lovely window seat overlooking the garden’s outdoor seating area. A door at the back of the room opens to the steep, secret staircase down to the Living Room. This door can be bolted to stop young children using it. Bedroom Two Cross the landing to Beehive’s king-size bedroom, with its soft-yellow walls and accents of pink and red. Guests can watch the world go by, sitting in the window seat while reading a book from the wide selection of novels from the bedroom’s bookcase. The room is furnished with a sink-in KING bed, half-height wardrobe, a bedside chest of drawers with a reading light, and an impressive mirror. Hairdryer in drawer. Bedroom One At the end of the landing, up two stairs, is the master bedroom, affectionately known by the owner as the Butterfly Room, which features a sink-in, double-size bed and walls decorated with beautifully hand-painted butterflies. The room is furnished with a handsome, cherry wood chest of drawers and dressing table, bedside tables with reading lamps and a hanging rail with a shoe rack. With windows on three sides, overlooking the garden and the road below, the master bedroom is bright and light, but has exquisite hand-made, heavy curtains and a blind to ensure a really good night’s sleep. Family Bathroom Located next to Bedroom One, the Family Bathroom is practical yet exudes relaxation at the same time, with its painted wooden floor, half-panelled soft-grey walls and an intricately hand-painted partridge, complimented by a series of antique birds’ egg paintings. The bathroom features a full-length bath, with luxury bubble bath provided, a toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail. Outside Beehive Cottage has a charming garden with a lawn and a gravelled area with seating and parking for two cars. Wisteria and passionflower frame the front door and climb up to the bedroom windows, while in the summertime lavender blooms fill the air with their scent, attracting bees, butterflies and birds. Step through the French doors in the Kitchen to the outdoor seating area, with its oblong-shaped table, seating for eight and charcoal barbecue. Beyond the parking area, up a few steps, is an immaculate lawn with raised beds and an original beehive – no longer in use!

  • Beehive Cottage is a treasure, and we are so thankful for the privilege of having stayed in this wonderful home. We loved the care and thought that the owner put into restoring and updating her home, and we are so very grateful to the manager and caretaker for being such caring stewards of this masterpiece. Leaving was bittersweet - sad to go, but happy that we might visit again soon.

  • The perfect place for a cosy weekend getaway. Beehive Cottage is beautiful and none of us wanted to leave! It’s warm and inviting and the personal touches meant such a lot. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you could need, the sitting room is cosy with a lovely wood burner which is easy to use. The whole house is beautifully furnished and is a quintessential Cotswold cottage! My friends and I had the perfect weekend away and we will certainly come back to beautiful Beehive. Thank you so much!!

  • A lovely cottage in quiet village, ideal for family get away where you cater for yourselves. Nice inn nearby for good food at reasonable prices. Cottage is well furnished and cosy and log burner provides idyllic homely feel. Only drawback was draft through doors and not all doors to rooms close fully, which does lend itself to a spooky feel when they open when you're trying to sleep!

    Scott2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a fabulous cottage Beehive is. My friends and I had the most perfect stay made all the more wonderful by the well stocked kitchen, the lovely welcoming touches, the comfy beds and sofas and the roaring fire. The cottage has been renovated beautifully and it was a pleasure to stay in. We can HIGHLY recommend eating at The Falcon Inn next door (make sure you book). The little village of Bibury is a short drive away and well worth a visit. A couple of tips for the house - bring slippers as the stone floors are cold, and the complimentary logs last 1 evening and there is nowhere local to buy more once you’ve had a glass of wine or two! So bring wood with you or buy some along the way so you have plenty. We will most definitely be back :)

    Hannah2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, cosy, well-stocked cottage - the perfect retreat for 3 couples and a baby. We loved all the features, allowing for long meals and games in front of the fire. The house was sparkling clean throughout and the beds were very comfortable. The attention to detail was second to none - and the hand painted decoration is stunning. We also loved the home baked cake for our arrival, much needed after a long drive! Thank you so much.

Charmingly renovated cottage, quintessentially Cotswold on the outside, calm and contemporary on the inside. Stunning handmade kitchen, fully equipped and boasting a beautiful AGA. The living room has a library feel, with huge squishy leather sofa, an Abu dance of books, TV, Wifi and digital radio. Upstairs the beamed bedroom space is cosy and romantic, with views of the gardens and surrounding countryside.
  • We had a great time at Allan's place. Lovely quiet cottage with a well equipped kitchen, comfy sofa and very cosy bedroom and ensuite. We made good use of the hot tub and sauna which were free to use at any time. We felt very welcome and enjoyed having a glass of wine with Allan on one of the evenings. Would also recommend a trip into Cirencester which is lovely and has a fair amount to see.

  • Having read the other reviews before our visit I was very excited for our weekend away. The cottage 100% lived up to expectation and actually exceeded it. The cottage, house and surrounding grounds are beautiful and ell kept. The upgraded hot tub to the one in the photos was an awesome surprise. We didn't get to use the sauna, but a lovely facility that future guests are sure to make use of. Location was perfect for day tripping in the cotswold with pubs, restaurants and supermarkets all nearby. Overall an amazing spot tucked away in the beautiful Cotswolds. I hope we can make a return visit some day.

The Old Farm Bed & Breakfast is located within the picturesque village of Ampney Crucis in the heart of the Cotswolds. This brand new, peaceful, self contained detached annex is in the grounds of the The Old Farm, a traditional cotswold stone house.
This brand new, peaceful, self contained detached annex is warm and cosy. It has a luxurious king size bed and a small wet room with a rain shower. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee and tea making facilities, including a nespresso machine. Please note that breakfast is self-service continental style taken in the annex.
We are extremely well located. Ampney Crucis is 3 miles from the busy market town of Cirencester, known as the Capital of the Cotswolds. Cirencester offers a farmers market, a selection of restaurants and is renowned for its boutique and art and craft shops. Ampney Crucis is just a short drive from the beautiful village of Bibury, as well as being within easy reach of Bourton on the Water, Lechlade and Burford. It is well located for various attractions such as Westonbirt Arboreatum, the Cotswold Wildlife Park as well as racing at Cheltenham.
  • Fiona’s place was a perfect little spot to stay in by the Cotswolds, very nicely decorated and clean.

    Caroline2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely and stylish annexe near to the main house (but far away to be private). It has been decorated and equipped to a very standard. Amazingly comfortable bed, nice wet room and facilities for cooking (I wasn’t expecting a hob to be available so that was a pleasant surprise). Only met Fiona once, when I arrived and had difficulty finding the property in the dark and she appeared with a torch to show me in, but she stressed that I could call or visit the house if there was anything I needed - there wasn’t. Really relaxing stay and very close to the facilities available in Cirencester. Would absolutely recommend for a short stay in the Cotswolds. Thank you Fiona.

    Lucy2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and nicely decorated with a lovely shower and a comfortable bed.

    Kailey2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very beautiful and comfortable. The room was very warm as well which was great since it was freezing outside. We had a bit of trouble finding the place as google map took us to a different location (which Fiona had pointed out in advance) hence she had provided directions beforehand but since we arrived late and there were no street lights it was hard to tell what was what and we got lost anyway. It may help to arrive while it is still light out. Communication was great and the cereals and drinks were a plus:) Would highly recommend!!

  • Just got back from a delightful stay - Fiona was a great host, with local tips (we really enjoyed our afternoon at The Crown of Crucis pub/restuarant) and great hospitality (fresh orange juice, milk and croissants were a treat). The space was impeccably clean, warm and cosy. Would highly recommend.

  • Great space, quiet and peaceful but close enough to amenities if you need them. Perfect for a break or business trip.

    Catherine2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in this calm, beautiful annexe. It was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, and we really appreciated the fresh milk and juice left for us. Located in a quiet, rural location but within a short driving distance of lots of attractions, it was perfect for us and we would definitely stay again.

  • The best Airbnb we have stayed at... classy, stylish and functionally perfect. Gorgeous wet room, lovely continental breakfast. Comfy bed almost made us check out late ! Helpful and lovely host .... Honestly can’t fault this, place it’s wonderful.... thank you Fiona

Converted in 2018, our outbuilding offers a modern take on a country suite. With separate bedroom, en-suite and large living space the detached annex is great for couples or singles to spend a few days away on the edge of the Cotswold Water Park - brilliant for walking and (flat!) cycling. Located at the end of a small residential cul-de-sac in the small village of Latton, we are close to the A419 giving perfect access to M4 and M5, great for those staying away for work.
Living room with sofa, tv and dining table. Bedroom with double bed (with drawers underneath) and bedside tables. En-suite with shower, WC and sink There is no kitchen, but kettle, toaster, microwave and small fridge provided. Sole use, secure bike / boot store attached to the rear of the annex - great for walking and cycling. Please let us know if you wish to use this and we will provide keys.
The Cotswold Water Park is all around us, great for walking and cycling or sailing, canoeing and swimming for the more adventurous. The market town of Cirencester (aka the capital of the Cotswolds) is 5 miles away.
  • Good place to stay; great hosts & nice home from home

    Lorraine2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Jon & Laura’s place was great! There is a living room with sofa & TV, as well as an area to make tea/coffee/snacks and a small table a chairs (there was also a kettle, toaster, microwave and small fridge). The bedroom was lovely, with an extremely comfortable bed (which is a must for me!). There is an ensuite shower room off the bedroom which was very stylish and had lovely thick fluffy towels! Communication with Laura was great and I was able to check in early as there was no one staying there the night before. The location was also very good, just a couple of minutes drive to Cotswolds Water Park. I would definitely stay here again!

    Claire2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in the cotswolds. Absolutely lovely hosts and a really comfortable and clean place! Thank you so so much!

  • Brilliant location, clean and stylish space. Jon and Laura delightful.

    Alison2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for two nights to celebrate our anniversary and it was such a lovely weekend. Laura was very communicative throughout the whole stay but didn't intrude. There was a lovely homely feel to the annexe that made us feel relaxed almost instantly. The bed was comfy and the en suite was beautiful! There is a microwave, fridge and toaster in the annexe which is perfect for a couple of nights. It is a short drive to Cricklade where there are a few shops and restaurants. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a home away from home.

  • A nice romantic hideout near bibury and burford!

    Sabereen2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • A very comfortable, relaxing stay in Latton at Jon and Laura's accommodation. Great hosts and great place for a retreat. Highly recommend it!

    Jon2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jon and Lauras annex is a brilliant a place to stay! From the start communicating was quick and simple, the check-in was particularly good with very clear instructions and after that I was left to come and go as I pleased. The location is great, being near to the A419 (yet far enough away!), close to the Cotswolds Water Park and some very lovely Cotswold villages. I enjoyed a run one morning along the local footpaths. The annex itself is perfect, a really fantastically equipped space, comfortable and cosy bedroom and surprisingly roomy bathroom/shower. Can’t fault it! I would return without doubt!

One of the oldest cottages in Fairford, Once owned by King Henry VIII. Tudor Cottage is a period Cotswold stone cottage in a row of terraced limestone properties on London Street in the pretty market town of Fairford, which is situated in the beautiful Coln Valley and the Cotswold Water Park
Access to free wifi, constant hot water and central heating In the sitting room is a wooden floor with a rug for your comfort, a wood burner. There is a leather sofa, sofabed, good lighting with plenty of lamps, soft throws and lots of cushions. A digital TV with Freeview Play so you can catch up on the past 7 days of television, DVD player, books, DVD's, board games The kitchen has tiled floor and is very well equipped with a range style cooker, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster and many pots, pans and cooking utensils. A good selection of crockery and glassware. Dining room There is a lovely kitchen table with seating for 6 people Utility Room equipped with Freezer, Washing machine, Tumble dryer Iron and Ironing board On the first floor you will find a ornate Superking bed and two trundle beds if needed for children. hanging space and cupboards with a dressing table and stool, a hairdryer, straighteners, hairwaver, bedside cabinets and table lamps. The bathroom has a roll top bath, seperate overhead shower, basin and a w.c. Up the next very steep stairs (please be careful) there is a Superking bed.. hanging space and cupboards with a dressing table and stool, a hairdryer, straighteners, bedside cabinets and table lamps All beds are made ready for your arrival with lovely crisp bed linen, soft quilts, pillows, throws. Both bedrooms have good lighting from lamps and ceiling lights From the Backdoor you enter a small paved courtyard which is a secure area for dogs, there is then a small pathway that leads to the cottage garden which is private and very quiet and secure. We have two seating areas, a BBQ, lots of fairy lights Whatever you have in mind, we’re sure that we can provide the perfect base for it!
  • I had high expectations from the lovely pictures and listing, but it was even better in person! There were so many thoughtful touches (bird seeds for spreading, dog snacks, games, lotions, a variety of bath salts, etc.). It truly felt like home, if my home was a beyond charming 500 year-old cottage (rather than a colonial-style home in a 90s suburb). The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and I loved using the cute vanity to get ready each morning. The house was well-stocked in every area and surprisingly equipped with modern conveniences (dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, etc.) that blended pretty seamlessly. They did a great job with the design down to the smallest details (antique light switches, faucets and hardware, etc.) it was pretty easy to feel like you had been transported in time. You do need to be a little extra careful on the stairs, especially with kids, but there are decent hand rails and reminders on the wall to take them slowly. We came with two young kids and loved having a really nice playground, a library, lovely walking trails and shops just a short walk away. There is also a coffee shop a couple doors down with amazing brownies (not typically a chocolate fan) and a small farmers market on Wednesdays. Oh, and we really enjoyed lighting the fire at night (especially the first night when all we needed to do was drop a match on their perfectly prepared stack of wood and fire starters, lol). All in all, a wonderful trip. Wish we could have stayed longer!

  • Amazing place very rustic chic and cozy, went above and beyond my expectations. The village is lovely with pubs and shops near by. Only an hour from Bath and 10 mins from cotswolds so there are plenty of places to take to dogs If it's a dog holiday which it was for us. Definitely reccommend and will sure to be back.

A beautiful Grade 11 listed country house, comfortable with luxurious touches and interior design influences. The house has many original features and lots of nooks and crannies to hideaway with a good book or work on a project.
The house is right next door to Siddington church and opposite an ancient tithe barn. It is in a very quiet cul de sac, in the village but slightly apart from it. The village is very near Cirencester, a thriving market town which is the gateway to the Cotswolds and we also have wonderful walks and open fields with horses on our doorstep.
It is a friendly village with a village shop and pub which serves good food within walking distance.
  • Very comfortable bed, beautiful views, right by a church. Woke up to some deer outside the window. Breakfast was really delicious and hosts are lovely!

Large, light and airy annexe in a rural, quiet location, 5 mins by car to Fairford markettown and RAF Fairford air base. Good location with easy access to Cirencester, Burford, Bibury and many other Cotswold villages . Local attractions include Cotswold wildlife park, Cotswold water parks, sailing lakes. 5 mins drive to local village country pub serving lovely food. We are 15 mins from junction 15 of the M4. We will be here to greet you and help in any way we can to make your stay enjoyable.
The room is above average in size with rural open field views to front and back. Very quiet but within easy access to all major centres and attractions.
The original house is sited at the end of a farm drive and was built circa 1900 as a farm workers cottage. It has been extended over the years and the small hamlet of approx 10 houses remains peaceful and away from the busy roads.
  • Thank you for making my family so welcome

Fairford is a great base to explore the British countryside at its best. Lechlade on Thames is also a 5 minute drive with pubs and Antique Shops.
  • This is a gorgeous cottage in a fabulous location. So good with a dog to be able to walk straight from the cottage on lovely river walks. We walked twice to Quenington via different routes . Everything works really well and the kitchen is particularly good. We cooked a huge complex brunch and had all the pans and rings we needed! Bedrooms are lovely with great views and very comfy beds. The bathroom is great with a really powerful shower. And of course the hot tub which was all ready for us. We went to The Bull on the first night we were there which was nice and comfy but the food was really awful. The Indian takeaway is excellent and The Keepers Arms in Quenington is great.

    Frances2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic cottage with all the amenities you would want. Location is great with walks and town nearby. Considering Storm Dennis was in full flow throughout the weekend we made the most of all that Fairford had to offer and even had a couple of rainy hot tub sessions with the kids! Highly recommend 👍🏼

The property was very clean and tidy, in a great location and very friendly, easy parking and nothing was missing - everything was thought of. Luciana was a great host and made it really easy for us to check in and out. We had an amazing stay and we would highly recommend this property.

This period property is the epitome of country charm, featuring a well-equipped Kitchen, separate Dining Room and comfortable Living Room. Full of surprises, Cotswold Cottage also boasts an incredibly pretty private garden, not to mention the secret and luxurious loft-conversion en-suite bathroom!
INTRODUCTION One of the undiscovered Cotswold villages, Coln St Aldwyns will delight anyone who wants to be immersed in the Cotswold countryside and have an authentic Cotswold experience, yet avoid the hustle and bustle of the Cotswolds’ tourist hot spots. As with most Cotswold villages, Coln (as the locals call it) is steeped in history, with a perfectly maintained, 13th-century Norman church and 17th-century coaching inn, the New Inn. As you stroll around the village, you’ll find endless photo opportunities to capture beautiful, honey-coloured, Cotswold limestone cottages backed by pastoral, rolling countryside. Cotswold Cottage is an idyllic Cotswold home for families or friends looking for utter peace and quiet. One thing that may strike you about Coln is its blissful feeling of calm. Guests who are fortunate enough to enjoy sunny days at Cotswold Cottage will be able to appreciate the tranquillity of its gorgeous garden. Providing plenty of open space and room, Cotswold Cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the undulating Coln Valley and rushing waters of the River Coln, or to venture further afield. Step out of the front door and you’re straight into miles and miles of walking, including an idyllic 4- or 6-mile route to Bibury (famed for its Arlington Row cottages, possibly the most photographed tourist location in the Cotswolds!), where you can have a bite to eat at The Swan, The Catherine Wheel or in the café at Bibury Trout Farm. If you’re staying with little ones, simply cross the road to a safe, secure and immaculate adventure playground, complete with picnic tables and benches. Then wander downhill to the River Coln, flanked by rolling hills that are home to flocks of sheep and herds of cows – a truly bucolic scene. If you’re lucky enough to catch a sunset, it’ll be one of the most beautiful you’re ever likely to see! Head back up the road to the Coln Community Shop for a cuppa and a slice of some of the tastiest cake in the Cotswolds! At the end of your day exploring the Cotswolds, return to Cotswold Cottage and Coln St Aldwyns, far from the madding crowds, with easy parking, peace and quiet and an immaculate and cosy home-from-home.   FACILITIES  Sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms across 2 standard double beds and a king size double  1x downstairs WC, 1x family bathroom and 1x en-suite bathroom (no WC)  Off street parking  Private enclosed garden – safe for children  All bed linen, bath towels and tea towels provided  Hairdryers in each bedroom  Toiletries (hand soap, shower gel, shampoo)  Welcome pack including tea and coffee pods for the machine  Heating and hot water  Free Wi-Fi  TV with Freeview  Blueray DVD player / DVDs  Games + books  Child friendly  Fully equipped kitchen with toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, utensils, crockery, cutlery, glassware (champagne flutes, tumblers and wine and water glasses) bakeware, food preparation.  Roasting tins  Full set of Le Creuset pans and casserole dishes  Britannia range cooker with double oven and 5 gas hobs  Sharp microwave  Dishwasher  Separate fridge and freezer  Bosch washing machine  Ironing board, iron, clothes airer, cleaning equipment  Deckchairs/ sun loungers + outdoor furniture  Vacuum cleaner  Baby/Child Equipment: high chair and travel cot (cot linen not supplied)  Garden dining – seats 6  BBQ (charcoal) – please provide your own charcoal  Safety equipment: fire extinguisher, fire blanket, carbon monoxide monitor, smoke alarm, First Aid kit. If you want to experience the true Cotswolds, why not stay in a typical Cotswold Bothy in the heart of the region, in beautiful Bibury. A totally separate building, with ensure facilities and a lovely King- Sized bed. The Bothy has Tea & Coffee making facilities but no kitchen but fear not, The Catherine Wheel Pub is just across the road and the Four Star Swan Hotel is 500 yards away. Look up the village on the internet, the beauty speaks for itself, plus very handy for the rest of the Cotswolds
It's just a lovely little room, totally separate from my cottage but near enough for any problems. Being in Bibury, it's very handy for other fantastic locations, such as Burford, Cirencester, Cheltenham, Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water and many more!. The Swan Hotel is about 600 yards away and Cribbs Barn is about 2 miles away and both are very popular wedding venues.
  • Location was great, close to great walking route for us and our dog, across the road from a pub and in a quieter part of the village. Loved it and would return.

    Nina2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Chris was very friendly, approachable and offered a lot of local tips. His lovely little bothy was tastefully decorated and a cosy place to stay right and some beautiful walks and great pubs! We would go again!

    Stephanie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A very clean and cosy Bothy which is an excellent place to stay when visiting the Cotswolds. Great location and Chris is the perfect host. Highly recommended

    Philip2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location! Directly opposite a pub, and walking distance down to the picturesque river and start of a great 6km walk around the countryside. Highly recommend the brunch and coffee in the Swan hotel too. Accommodation is definitely ‘snug’ - just a bedroom and a bathroom, but that’s all you need when out exploring 😁 Thanks for having us! Will definitely stay here if we come back.

    Kayley2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful property in a stunning location, great local pub with fantastic walks around the area.

    Dean2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Bothy is a fantastic little place with period touches. We loved the huge ancient key to open the door! We were a little worried that we may hear the traffic given where it is located but we were not bothered by any traffic at all. As stated in the description of the property there are only tea/coffee making facilities which served us fine. We just popped across to the Catherine wheel pub for breakfast. I totally recommend this place and it has the added bonus of being a 5min walk from the centre of picturesque Arlington.

    Andre2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay in the middle of Bibury. Ideal location near to Cripps Barn where we were attending a wedding. Comms with Chris was great. Easy to get in the house - nice room, spotlessly clean.

    Martin2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Chris' place was perfect for us - we stayed in Bibury for one night. It was warm and cosy and had everything we needed. Chris' communication was great. Would recommend!

The cottage is a short walk from Fairford town centre. All the rooms on the ground floor have underfloor heating and the living room also has a wood burner. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. The bathroom is on the ground floor with a shower over the bath. Parking is on the street just outside the front door.
Outside is a small patio and lawn with a garden shed if you bring bicycles.
Fairford is famous for the stained windows in its beautiful Church and has a much photographed Mill nearby. There are three small supermarkets (which stay open late), a chemist, butcher, post office, hairdresser, beauty salon, and a bookshop. You will love Stable Cottage because of its unique and peaceful setting attached to our C18 Cotswold Farmhouse which has wonderful views and huge garden. It's is private, spacious but cosy with a comfy bed and woodburning stove for chilly winter evenings. Perfect if you want to come and isolate yourself from coronavirus..
The beautiful setting and stylish interior
The peaceful countryside and convenient location. There are footpaths nearby and the nearest Pub is 2.3 miles away.
  • A lovely setting to escape to the country for a couple of nights - Caroline's characterful family house is the only other in site from the cottage. I'm sure it would be lovely to sit out on a warm summers eve, but if not, retreating to the snug and the log burner is a delight. The cottage is well kitted out with everything needed for a self sufficient visit, and makes for a very comfortable stay. Only a short drive to the nearest villages, also part linked up by footpaths if the weather is right. The recommended 6 mile walk in the welcome folder was very enjoyable, and muddy!

    Jody2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is absolutely brilliant. Lovely location and only a short drive from the best parts of the Cotswolds.

The bedding is perfect and comfortable. Very adapted for a couple and a baby. Caroline is very nice and flexible regarding check in time. Unfortunately we did not get the chance to meet her.

Double bed in quiet owner-occupied newly built house near lake. Possibly another AirBnB guest staying in another room sharing the bathroom (or could be myself or girlfriend). We may or may not be there face-to-face for check-in (if not we we provide a key) and we usually have minimal contact during the stay other than for queries and/or messages via the AirBnB app. As we like to keep our property quiet and relaxing, we are ideal for quiet people who go to bed before 10:30pm and raise after 7am.
Use of room and bathroom. Use of kitchen for the microwave and to store a a couple of items in the fridge is OK if you let us know in advance. If you want to use the kitchen for anything more than that then there is an extra charge, usually £10 per night. As we are regularly cooking ourselves, please let us know before you arrive or there will likely not be space!
Situated in Cotswold Water Park. Easy drive to Cirencester, Swindon and Malmesbury, along with the A419 and M4.

This beautiful, one-bedroom, 1-bath, 17th Century bothy, originally built to house cattle and a herdsman, has been lovingly converted into a luxurious and romantic bolthole for 2. The Bothy sits in the grounds of Arlington House, in the heart of the Cotswolds, and includes many extra welcoming touches that will delight you and make your stay that little bit special. Just a few minutes' walk from a local pub, with a roaring log fire and garden, and Arlington Row Cottages and 10 miles from Burford
As you pull through the wrought iron gates and up the driveway of Arlington House, a stone’s throw from the popular village of Bibury, you’ll see the Bothy straight ahead. At first view the Bothy seems like an unimposing Cotswold stone barn. However, the moment you open the front door you’ll immediately realise you have chosen a luxurious and perfectly proportioned Cotswold bolthole for two. This old stone bothy was originally used for cattle over the centuries and has recently been converted. It now offers a light, bright and stylish accommodation for two. Downstairs is an open plan, elegant sitting room with a well-equipped corner kitchen. A spiral, contemporary staircase leads upstairs to a beautiful bedroom with an ensuite shower room. Outside, you are provided with a garden bench at the Bothy’s front door, where you can sit and enjoy a peaceful beginning or end to your day in the Cotswolds. The room is furnished with a king-size bed, reading lamp, a wardrobe and drawer, a small sofa, luggage rack and full-length mirror. A hair dryer, iron and ironing board are also provided for guests. The door in the bedroom that leads to external stairs was originally used by the herdsman who lived above his cattle. (This door should only be used in case of fire. Please leave the keys in the door at all times.) Arlington was first mentioned in the Domesday Book (1086) and was for centuries a village known for cloth making. Arlington village and Bibury village sit side-by-side, separated by the River Coln, a tributary of the River Thames. The village’s honey coloured cottages are what many visitors regard as quintessential Cotswold, with many visitors making a beeline to the famous Arlington Row cottages, once depicted on the inside cover of every UK passport, and just a minute’s walk from the Bothy. Arlington was also the ancestral birthplace of John Custis II, who emigrated to the Colony of Virginia and named his Virginian mansion "Arlington" after the village. Arlington Mansion was abandoned, but the name was used again by his great-great-grandson, George Washington Parke Custis (the grandson of Martha Washington and step-grandson and adopted son of George Washington, the first President of the United States), as the name for Arlington Estate on the south shore of the Potomac River near what is now Washington, D.C. Today it is known as Arlington National Cemetery. The 19th-century artist and craftsman William Morris called Bibury "the most beautiful village in England" – he probably meant Arlington too!

Meadow Lodge is in the grounds of our home in Kempsford, a small village near Fairford, on the edge of the Cotswolds. The village has an historic church and a thriving pub, The George. The Thames Path National Trail passes nearby.
The Lodge is 10 metres away from our house, and completely self-contained. Just refurbished, the lodge consists of a double bedroom ( with double sofa bed in the living area if needed), a walk in shower room with toilet and sink, and a living area with dining table and kitchen area. There is a small private patio area for guests to sit outside and enjoy the natural environment. The living area has two sofas, one being a comfortable sofabed. The kitchen area has a single oven with hob and grill, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. There is a washer-dryer available in the utility cupboard should you wish to use it.
Our property is on the edge of fields and gravel pits and has much wildlife around it. We are close to the Thames Path, the Cotswold Water Park for bird watching and water sports, and Fairford Airfield for the annual Royal International Air Tattoo in July. Being on the edge of the Cotswolds, the tourist destinations of Cirencester, Oxford, Bath and Cheltenham are within an easy drive, as is Swindon.
  • We went there as a couple. It was one of our best airbnb stays. We enjoyed every single moment at this beautiful place, which was super clean, cosy, comfortable and full of lovely little touches. Diana is a great host who also provided us homemade cookies, fresh eggs, bread and juice. We would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again for longer.

  • From the moment we arrived at this property we felt so very welcome and we were spoilt by kind gifts from the host of delicious homemade cookies, fresh bread and butter, eggs from the chickens and even a bottle of wine in the fridge. The guest house itself is very pretty. It is tastefully decorated throughout and in a beautiful location. All the ingredients for a very relaxing break. But the thing that really made our stay special here were all the thoughtful little touches, both in the property itself and in the excellent hospitality. We would highly recommend this guest house as the perfect country retreat to step back from life a little and recharge your batteries. We can’t wait to go back!

  • Astonishingly good. The best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Quiet, clean, beautifully decorated, warm, comfortable, spacious... the list goes on! AND on top of that, the hosts went over and above expectations to help myself and my autistic son settle in. The most fabulous stay with fresh hen eggs, parking right outside and beautiful countryside views. We look forward to staying again in the future.

  • Very high standards! An elegant and quaint cottage with beautiful villages and cities nearby! We have already booked our return, we were truly impressed!

    Sally-Anne2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Superb host! Lovely and cosy. Wish we booked another night or 2.

    Kevin2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved our stay! It was probably the most organized Airbnb I have ever been to—everything was easy to find and there were helpful labels on shelves, light switches, etc. The space is comfortable and lovely and there were so many thoughtful touches (flowers, fresh eggs, juice, jams, treats and enough interesting games, toys, coloring supplies and books to keep my young kids entertained for hours at a time). The kids also liked running around in the field and saying hi to the chickens. You can see the church tower when you are outside and hear the bells chime in the morning and evening. They did a great job making a beautiful, fun, welcoming environment—we loved the cute woodland creatures placed around as part of the decor (hedgehogs, birds, rabbits, etc.). It’s less than 10 mins to Fairford and Cirencester is less than 30 mins away. Really can’t go wrong booking this place.

  • Fantastic stay at a beautiful hideaway, Diana very thoughtfully provided everything needed for our littlest visitor who absolutely adored his trip. Gorgeous little touches such as homemade lemon cake and milk and orange juice in the fridge made it all the more special.

    Nicola2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks so much to Diana and her family - we had the most wonderful time. I arrived and we had a bottle of wine, cookies, bread, tea coffee and breakfast items all waiting for us (not to mention eggs from the chickens). We borrowed the bikes and had the most stunning bike ride before heading off to bibury, rounded off with pub grub at the george. Will most certainly be returning in the summer!

Welcome to Manor Cottage, brought to you exclusively by Character Cottages, local specialists in stylish, Cotswold holiday rentals. Manor Cottage is a quintessential Cotswold stone cottage, located in the large grounds of a beautiful manor house in the picturesque village of Poulton, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Although small, Poulton has a well-regarded village shop and Post Office, and there is a children's playground close to the cottage. The village is five miles away from the Roman town of Cirencester, the largest market town in the Cotswolds, and is also close to many other picture-postcard Cotswold villages, including Bibury, Barnsley and Eastleach, with the stunning Coln Valley just a short drive away. As well as being close to the many beautiful towns and villages of the Cotswolds, Poulton is also well placed for exploring further afield places, such as Oxford, Bath, or even a day-trip into London. Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!
Sitting in the grounds of Poulton’s lovely manor house, Manor Cottage is entirely self-contained and the front door is accessed via a path through the cottage’s private gardens. The stunning oak front door opens into a hallway, with the following rooms on the ground floor: Living room: A large, beautifully refurbished room, which retains oak beams, a flagstone floor, window seats and a lovely roaring fire. There is comfy seating for five and a beautiful antique writing desk; Kitchen/dining room: This bright, sociable room contains an Aga, which also heats the cottage’s water, a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and washing machine. There is also a large wooden dining table, with seating for six. Stairs lead up from the ground floor to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 1: A lovely dual aspect room in its own right, this bedroom is further enhanced by its stunning four poster bed. Cleverly extended to a king size bed by the cottage’s owners, the bed combines size and comfort, with gorgeous style; Bedroom 2: This large room contains two single beds, as well as a full size day bed (180cm x 90cm). The day bed can either be left as a comfy sofa, or set up as a bed. Family bathroom: Contains a bath with overhead shower attachment, toilet and wash basin. Outside the cottage are its beautiful gardens, with a mixture of lawns, patio areas, and mature bushes and trees, all surrounded by Cotswold stone walls. There is a bistro table and chairs, a bench and a charcoal barbecue. Off street parking for two/three cars is also available, directly outside the cottage.
  • A really wonderful cottage with an aga and log fire, so easy to check in and forget about the outside world. Thank you.

  • We had a lovely stay at Manor Cottage for a week, the property has been done beautifully throughout but still maintaining the original cottage features. Nick was a charming host, making sure we had settled in all okay. We particularly liked the living room which was comfortable and got some great light with views of the garden (which is often hard to come by in traditional small cottages). The aga in the kitchen was a dream in heating up the entire place, my only comment would be for someone who doesn't know how to use an aga it would have been useful for a bit of guide in how to use it as we had to figure it out for ourselves. Would recommend for anyone who wants a taste of local village life in the English countryside, book more than a few days to relax and enjoy the property.

  • Beautiful cottage, extremely clean and well equipped. Very comfortable

    Ethna2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nick’s place is fantastic if you’re looking for a true Cotswolds experience. Close to many different villages and towns and easy access to bigger cities like bath/oxford. The cottage/garden is like a fairy tale. This was a great place for our 18 month old to run around and play in the garden. There’s also a small children’s park across the street as well as convenient pub.

    Joshua2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful cottage with nice garden, beautiful deco and not far from all interesting Cotswolds villages. We spent there lovely days with our children discovering all the charms of the region (Broadway tower, Hidcote garden, Chipping Campden, Slaughter, etc. etc.) & taking some rest at home or in Poulton. I recommend the place for sure.

    Sébastien2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Manor Cottage is absolutely gorgeous. There's quite a bit of space inside while still being very cozy with the fire and lots of comfortable places to sit and read a book. The private gardens are absolutely beautiful, straight out of a postcard, and a wonderful place to have breakfast or just relax and enjoy the flowers and the weather. And the location is excellent for exploring the Cotswolds and also for a day trip in to Oxford. Highly recommended!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Manor Cottage with our 2 dogs. The cottage was very clean and very cosy. The lemon cake for our arrival was a lovely touch. The village location was perfect and the pub opposite has great food and is very welcoming. Will definitely visit again!

  • Our 2 night stay was incredible Eva was so friendly when I arrived first without my partner due to him finishing late, she helped us find the place when we got lost, annexe was clean and very homely

    Amy2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Probably the best AirBnB we have stayed in! This was a superb place for us to stay for the weekend, close to Cirencester and close to everything the Cotswold have to offer. The annex was extremely clean and tidy and had every amenity we could possibly want. Eva was great and gave us fantastic tips, provided us with everything we needed and was a lovely host. I would thoroughly recommend staying here for a visit to the Cotswolds.

    Daniel2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Annexe is a beautiful place to spend a quiet relaxing break. The space is beautifully arranged and spotless! Eva has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable - even leaving eggs and milk in the fridge for our arrival. We would highly recommend!

    Paul2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay while visiting the Cotswolds. Very quiet area. The accomodation has all the things you could need and then some. There's enough books on the shelves to start a library so definitely no chance of boredom if you get rained in!

    Nikul2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Eva was a fantastic host, making sure to let us know that she was on hand if we needed anything. The annexe was fantastic! It was the perfect size and had all the facilities we needed as well as being situated in a beautiful setting. We were really grateful that Eva had supplied a few breakfast items aswell. If I could make any suggestion, it would be to have a stronger internet connection but that's only because phone signal wasn't great. Overall, it was brilliant. The decor was great and the bed was very comfortable! Thank you Eva!
