  • Great location, and a nice, charming place to stay.

  • This beautiful family owned and operated studio is perfect to g t away and see the stars sunrise and sunset over the water in west Marin. The studio is very comfortable and location is unmatched. I hope to return during warmer months and get in the water. It’s very relaxing to hear the tide lapping up to the property . I definitely recommend.

  • This is my new favorite place to stay! I especially love the deck over the bay, comfy bed and we'll stocked game chest. It was the perfect place to land after a day of exploring!

    Cara2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a cute studio. It is literally right on the water and I appreciate there was furniture on the deck so we could maximize the enjoyment of the space. My friends and I slept well and the gas fireplace kept us warm. I didn't expect to use it but I was grateful we had it. The furniture on the deck could use a little TLC but we found the cushions and it was just fine. The bathroom in the kitchen was a great point of laughter during our stay. While odd it was very convenient as we could have a glass of wine/beer while showering at the same time. Overall the studio was a wonderful place to disconnect and unwind. It is close to several yummy food spots and wonderful hikes. I would do a repeat here. Due to the PG&E power outages we didn't get to stay the entire planned duration and Rob was kind enough to refund the second night.

  • If you seek a low-key weekend getaway, or an extended eco tourism trip to Point Reyes/ Tomales Bay, this place is exactly what you’re looking for. 3 minute drive from Nicks Cove/ a kayak launch site to the north, 3 minute drive to Hog Island Oysters to the south basically put you in the very best part of Tomales Bay. In addition, if tranquility, proximity to nature, and being near the water are important to you, the house/deck is literally sitting in the bay- you couldn’t be closer! The long and short of it is if you want to be in a quiet place without cell service to unwind or hit the reset button, this is exactly that and less than 2 hour drive from San Francisco. 10/10 experience, especially given how easy Rob was to work with!

    Michael2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great stay! Location, location, location. Stunning views and access to Point Reyes or the towns on the east side. Great eateries nearby and of course the stunning coast. Lovely place that I highly recommend.

Shorehouse provides a unique combination of luxury and rustic charm. Enjoy this boutique waterfront cottage furnished with a tasteful aesthete and with outdoor and enclosed decks. The house with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is perfect for two couples or just one! There is a gourmet kitchen with a Viking appliance. • Immaculately clean, comfortable and cozy • Whitewashed oak floors • Two bedrooms with two bathrooms • Indoor and out door dining areas • State-of-the-art kitchen • Outdoor grill
Explore the area's kayaking, hiking, beaches, art, and restaurants. Meet the locals, visit oyster farms, cheese makers, and ranches, and chat up merchants at the all-organic Point Reyes Farmers' Market like Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
  • Another good stay on Tomales Bay. The view from the living room never gets old.

    Judy2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amrita was the consummate host - her place was exactly as described and better. We loved the panoramic, breath taking views, the soft lapping of the water against the dock, the many curious birds in the morning, the well appointed (and stocked) cook's kitchen and the exquisite, quiet privacy of the entire experience. Check-in was a breeze, and Amrita was Amrita-on-the-spot with the few basic questions we had along the way. The best recommendation we can give is to to stay with Amrita again, which we have every intention of doing next time we're back in Point Reyes - which I imagine will be soon.

  • Beautiful home in a peaceful, tranquil location. We had a wonderful break here.

  • A very intimate and romantic place

  • The host was very reachable and helpful in communicating a power outage. This home was spectacular, well decorated and sparkling clean.

    Sheryl2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This house is absolutely gorgeous. The house is well appointed and bright and felt like someone's home, not like a rental. The setting on the water is fantastic, especially as the entire front of the house is windows. The location is also perfect, just a short walk to Nick's Cove. We had lunch at Nick's and a few night caps and really enjoyed how secluded the house was, yet how close it was to a great restaurant. We would absolutely rent again!

    Jane2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Another fantastic stay! Gorgeous home and location. Will be back :)

    Sunya2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • House is beautiful and dreamy. Loved all the white washed palette. The location and the views are fantastic. The home is well stocked and cared for. Amrita was very responsive in her communications and addressed a noise issue right away.

A rustic, cozy cottage nestled in the majestic redwoods of Sonoma county makes the perfect weekend getaway or month retreat. Relax in 2 acres of landscaped garden or drive to convenient restaurants, the ocean, or San Francisco.
This is perfect for the person/persons who love nature. It is a cozy converted chicken coop with an added deck and outdoor shower. The fridge, microwave and hot plate make it easy to stay in although the adorable town of Occidental with its delicious restaurants are fun.
This is a no through road so it is very quiet. And even though the houses are far apart, the neighbors are close and watch out for each other. There is a beautiful walking path available to the neighborhood.
  • We had a great time at this beautiful bnb! Pictures dont do it justice. We felt like we had an entire redwood forest to ourselves. Josephine was a wonderful host too! Highly recommended

    Wes2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • There was a fat cat named Carl. He is the bestest boy. We let him in the cabin with us at night and he cuddled and purred with happiness. Best cabin greeter there ever was. Ziggy (the hosts dog) was also a great greeter at the fence gate when we arrived.

    Siarra2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed the relaxing and quiet atmosphere at Jo's cabin. The hot tub was a nice touch that we definitely took advantage of. If you are looking for a get away from the busy every day life in the city this is the place to go!

    Kelsey2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stepping onto Josephines property you can immediately feel how special it is. She greeted us with warmth and gave us a tour and history of the property. She has everything you need to be comfortable for your stay. The sauna and hot tub are such a sweet treat, especially in the morning as the sun comes up. The property is large with plenty of well kept trails and places to relax, so be sure to explore. The property is also close to great beaches, highly recommend. Another added bonus is that you are allowed to bring your dog! Our dog loved her property even more than us - she woke up early explored every inch possible & loved Josephine’s pup, Ziggy. Very thankful that Josephine has opened up her space to guests. If you are looking for a relaxing time in the woods, this is it.

    Ryan2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This sweet, cozy place is a gem. Tucked away into the most peaceful property. Josephine is a remarkable host. If you have the chance to stay here, take it!

    Jeremy2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place was definitely beautiful. She has so much land to explore and discover. Everything was very clean for mostly being outside, and inside was very homey and warm. The compost toilet was easy to use. The sauna was definitely awesome to use. The hot tub was nice, even being attached to Josephine’s deck instead of the one you’re staying at, but was definitely a treat to be in. Peaceful and very relaxing!

    Sophia2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place is as described. Nestled in the middle of the tall redwood, you truly could unwind. I'd label this has glamping with more glamour than camping. The sauna/shower/hottub combination was better than any hotel could offer. The location was remote and quiet surrounded by beautiful views, there was a fireplace to keep you warm and it was accompanied by a compost toilet (true camping style ). We weren't too familiar with using the fireplace or the compost toilet but josephine stopped by and gave us all the information we needed! Check in check out was smooth. Highly recommend!

    Ruchira2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had SUCH a wonderful time here. We stayed for 2 nights, mid-Jan. There's an electric heater and wood-burning stove in the room, so we were nice n toasty. Shower, stove, microwave, toilet, dining table are all in a covered deck just outside the room, so plan accordingly -- it's definitely a glamping experience (with a TV and nice selection of DVDs). Everything was super clean. We hiked during the day, soaked in the hot tub after, and then explored the food/bar scene in Occidental at night (cabin is 10 min drive from the downtown). Will help to know that cell service is extremely spotty out there, so print directions to the place before you set out. We hope to come back in the summer!

Spacious private guest house with full kitchen with view 5 minutes from town. Until the shelter in place order that ends May 3rd is over, the cottage is available only for medical professionals or work supporting essential businesses or services (can be non-County residents), as housing needing for county residents to ensure adequate social distancing such as to live separately from at-risk family members or roommates, to self-quarantine. Cleaned according to strict CDC guidelines.
High vaulted ceilings and the expansive views create a wonderful feeling of openness. At 725 square feet, the cottage is larger than the other guest houses available in this area. It's decorated and supplied with lots of thoughtful touches of style and luxury to enhance your visit. There is a queen size bed with a super comfortable mattress that many of my guests comment positively about plus a couch that folds into a very comfy full size mattress, comfortably fitting 1 and possibly 2 adults or 2 children. There is a dinning table, sink and counters, new high quality stainless steel fridge and gas range, microwave oven, toaster oven, and everything you need to enjoy food from local grocery stores and restaurants. You'll also find a desk, with super comfy desk chair and desk lamp. It's a nice spot to work since you can see the lovely view of the gardens and mountains out the front windows from the desk. There is a new 50 inch Smart 4K flat screen TV with many free channels, plus you can login to your Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, Showtime, CBS All Access or any other streaming TV site account. When you arrive you will find fresh cut flowers, organic orange juice and some of my fresh baked banana bread waiting for you.
Location Near Town The cottage is just 5 minutes to the town of Sebastopol that has many great restaurants and shops.  It includes the Barlow Food, Art & Wine district that has places to eat, wine tasting shops and taprooms.  We are 25 minutes to the coast and the town of Bodega Bay and many different beaches and state parks along the coast.  We are 40 minutes from the popular Russian River resort area with river beaches, towns and state parks like the Armstrong Redwood State Park. It's about 15 minutes from Santa Rosa, the city center of Sonoma County wine country.  We are 35 minutes from the wine country town of Healdsburg with some of the best restaurants in Sonoma County and many wine tasting shops and stores around its town square park and downtown district.  It's 30 minutes to the beautiful Valley of the Moon area near the town of Kenwood with lots of top wineries.  About 10 minutes farther is the Sonoma Valley area with wineries and the lovely town of Sonoma with its historic town plaza featuring many tasting rooms, shops and restaurants.  Napa Valley including the town of Napa is a 45 minute drive. It's a 40 minute drive to Point Reyes National Monument one of my favorite places to hike and explore the beaches. The immediate neighborhood is very peaceful and semi-rural. It is a favorite with residents for walking and biking. There is a sheep ranch down the street with charming long-horn sheep and other properties in my area have everything from goats, pigs, horses and even a couple donkeys (my favorite). There are some properties with vineyards as well which reminds you that you are in the wine country.
  • Awesome place and awesome host. Supper close to everything we wanted to do.

Now you find yourself in an eyrie above the tops of some of the biggest trees. This is a romantic log cabin perched on a ridge and within walking distance of the Old Grove and close to the Coleman Valley scenic route to Bodega Bay. And yet, it is just a short ride down to the attractions of Occidental, Freestone, and just a bit further on, to the Russian River.
The cabin has a dining room with morning sun, a standard kitchen 1970's style, no dishwasher. There is a bedroom/sun room with afternoon sun, which may be closed off from the main room. The bathroom has a shower, but no tub. You can eat alfresco on the terrace or read and rest in the quiet warmth of the greenhouse. The papasan chair is ideal for a snooze in the garden.
  • What a gem! I really enjoyed my time at Marcia’s place. The cabin is in the woods and the town of Occidental is very small but so cute. There is an organic grocery store and with all the cooking supplies in the cabin, my partner and I were able to whip up a wonderful meal. The stars are very visible and it is so incredibly quiet. Wonderful stay, would stay again without a doubt.

    Mariam2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to relax and get away from everything. Super cozy and wonderful to wake up near the redwoods.

    Lindsay2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Marcia’s place has a lot of character and is in a beautiful secluded location, but isn’t far from a lot of attractions like Bodega Bay or Guerneville. Her succulent garden was a nice touch with a patio I would wake up and have coffee on.

    Kyle2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, peaceful oasis! What a lovely haven Marcia has created here. Great, cozy vibe- just the right place for decompressing and relaxing. Loved the atrium and all the succulents and other plants- great spot for meditation/reading etc! Loved the wooden cabin and the fireplace. So comfortable and retro; love the style. Would definitely recommend this spot!

The Lovers' Landing -- Welcome This is the lower unit of a two unit house. For larger groups we recommend renting both units. This unit has a full kitchen, dinning nook, large living room, one large bedroom with a queen bed, and one full bathroom. There is a gas fireplace located in the living room of this unit. There is one parking spot included with this unit and additional parking available on the side of the house. There is a gas and a charcoal grill available for your use. This unit also has beautiful and large back deck with sweeping views of the bay. This house reflects the lives of my grandparents. My grandfather was a master mariner by profession. He sailed in the American Merchant Marine from the 1920s to the 1940s, circumnavigating the globe more than 25 times. His wartime service was as captain of the Liberty ship, SS John Fiske, whose identifying plaque from the ship’s bridge is on the eastern exterior wall next to the steering wheel. When they retired in the 1970s, my grandparents chose this location so that he and my grandmother could have a quiet life in the woods, but at the same time could see the horizon and part of the sea. The tree-top setting is just a half-mile from the town of Inverness with its store, post office, café, and restaurants; and a ten-minute drive from the restaurants, shops and weekend Farmers’ Market of Point Reyes Station. Beaches, hiking trails and the Point Reyes National Seashore are within walking distance or a short car ride, and the south-facing deck is sunny and warm all day. But don't take our word for it--read what the New York Times had to say about Salt Water, the local restaurant, and the delights of the wider area. '36 hours in Marin County', 27 Jan. 2013. We hope that you enjoy our house, enter into its spirit enjoying the views of Tomales Bay, the hills, woods and beaches of western Marin and Elephant Mountain bathed in the ever- changing light of the Point Reyes Peninsula, a very special ‘Island in Time’. • We stayed with our 2 month old daughter and we had a great time! Lots of space, clean, we enjoyed the gas fireplace. For those of you who are critical about how a mattress might be in an Airbnb: this one was perfect!! Not too soft! Enough space for the bassinet and playmat! Great location to all Point Reyes trails and sights!

Fresh cup of coffee in the morning, a good book, and two Adirondack chairs on the poach for a sun rise and quiet was all we needed. Thank you again for the escape!

  • CANNOT beat the view of this place. If you’re looking for a spot that’s a slower pace and just a relaxing spot for friends and family, this is definitely the place. Updated older house with a great heater, hot tub, and kitchen amenities. Panoramic gorgeous views. If you stay in one of the top two rooms, you get a beautiful bay view. If you stay in the downstairs room, you get a natural white noise sounds of the ocean. The dock is perfect for hanging out outside. The hot tub is perfect for chilly nights, and curling up with coffee in the morning and watching the water from anywhere inside or outside is probably my favorite part. If there was one thing to say, it would be that the stairs going upstairs are pretty steep so small children would definitely need to be helped/supervised. But again, that’s just being picky. The house is great. Amazing all around experience. We all loved the space.

    Lauren2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place. We loved our stay and hope to come back next year!

    Julie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We found this cottage to be a gem on Tomales Bay. A short walk to Hog Island oysters, conveniently situated to visit the PR seashores. The cottage is very cozy inside with very comfy beds, and warm classical gas fire stove. The kitchen is well laid out with everything needed to cook for ourselves easily.. The views are superior, looking right over the water and the sea life everywhere. This cottage is a keeper with Serenity written all over it! Thank you for the hospitality!

    Robert2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place, would stay here again.

    Luke2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • The kitchen has excellent pots & pans, knives, etc. The ubiquitous windows allow the views to soften any stress-hardened exterior you might bring with you, sharing the beautiful serenity of the bird and wildlife of the bay, right from the cozy comfort of the house. Magical place to be. I miss it.

    Olivia2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Photos can’t compare to the actual experience of staying right on the bay. Going to bed and waking up to the beautiful view was worth the trek out there. It’s the perfect place to unwind.

    Tracy2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the place, Don! Will definitely be coming back! Most amazing part was watching the birds feast in the morning, and flying by right at our height from the window.

The Creekside Cottage in Point Reyes Station is a simple, modern craftsman with beautiful light all around. New construction, completed in 2017, it features serene quiet at night, bird viewing, and relaxing. Walk into town or head for the beaches from here. (It is not in Bolinas, online maps services are still confused about this fact)
Deer and bird watching are our favorite pastime here, enjoy quiet time on the deck.
The walk into town is one mile. Point Reyes Station is worth it year around. Visit the print shop or the saddlery.
  • The cottage is absolutely great! The perfect size for a couple. We had everything we needed for making our meals in the kitchen. My wife is a sucker for a great bathroom and just loved the heated floor and towel rack. The location is secluded enough to feel like you are getting away, but a medium walk to town.

    James2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second extended stay in Hilmar's cottage. We had a very restful and rejuvenating time. We walked to town to the exceptional bakeries and the unmatched independent bookstore. We hiked along Tomales Bay and then drove to Chimney Rock and to Limantour for fabulous birding. The cottage is charming, homey, and comfortable. We've already booked our next extended stay.

    Pat2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This gem of a place is cozy, warm, stylish and convenient. We enjoyed the Great Horned Owl chorus every evening, too! I won at darts, by the way, and we enjoyed a meal at the large dining table while being warmed by the wood stove. So close to town for access to the Bovine Bakery, the bookstore, and Stellina, the best restaurant north of the Golden Gate featuring local produce, cheese, breads and meats. Can’t go wrong!

    Alan2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful cottage in an extremely gorgeous part of the country. Hilmar was extremely thoughtful and helpful and everything at his place exceeded our expectations. If you want a home away from home in a beautiful part of California, this is your spot!

    Tina2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Hilmar is very gracious and generous. His Airbnb is very comfortable, quiet and private. It's a great place for birding, for nature pursuits and close enough to Point Reyes Station for walking and enjoying the natural surroundings and town.

    Pat2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended. First about the cottage. Great location in the heart of one of my favorite spots in California: Point Reyes. Second about the host. Hilmar is communicative, friendly, and flexible. If you're looking to stay in the area: Hilmar and the cottage are highly recommended.

    Steijn2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was an exceptionally clean, lovely place for a quiet retreat over a long weekend. We used the cottage as a base to explore Point Reyes National Seashore (hike where you can see the elk!) and Point Reyes Station, which is a quirky and fun little small town with interesting shops and restaurants. We also enjoyed hanging out at the cottage, drinking local wine and eating local cheese. It is in a quiet neighborhood overlooking a horse farm where the deer stroll by quite regularly.

    Renee2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views, quiet, and comfortable. Don’t know about you, but that is all I need to make for a great stay. Hilmar was very accommodating and available for anything yet very private. Nice touches.

Charming cabin right on the Creek: Have a dog? Please let us know! 2-bedrooms plus a loft (you have to climb a ladder to the loft), wood burning stove & windows everywhere! Well-equipped kitchen, TV, and trees all around. Huge deck overlooking the Creek: sit, sip, listen, relax - large table for alfresco dining. Nightly rates $95 to $300 depending on the dates. 12% Sonoma County Occupancy Tax will be added by AirBnB and remitted to the County.
Creekside pricing is for four guests. Each additional guest, up to seven total, is $25 per person each day. DOGS: We gladly consider accepting well-behaved dogs at Creekside. We ask for an additional cleaning fee of $50 per stay when dogs visit. Here are the house rules for dogs: no matter how tidy, dogs make for more work for our housekeeper so we pay her more when there's a dog staying with us. NOTE: there is a $75 ADDITIONAL pet cleaning fee if any of the following dog rules are not fully followed: 1. ***DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON FURNITURE OR ON/IN THE BEDS*** This is the biggest challenge we have and we don't have any exceptions to this rule. 2. if your dog barks when left alone, then do not leave the dog alone at the cabin. we have neighbors who can hear the barking and they sure let us know when they hear barking. 3. if your dog is totally chill when being left alone and does NOT bark, you must still always leave in his/her crate if you go out. 4. there are doggie gates on the deck so that you can secure the two deck staircases; then your dog may walk freely on the deck. 5. always pick-up after your dog and throw away the poop bags directly into the trash bin outside. even if the dog poops out-of-the-way, it must be picked up. 6. at the end of your stay, please thoroughly sweep the entire cabin with the broom & dustpan kept in the laundry room. please then dispose of all the fur/hair, etc. in the trash bin outside. thank you for helping to make it possible for us to continue hosting dogs up at Creekside. please remember, and so that there are no misunderstandings or surprises, if our housekeeper finds that all the fur is not swept up or if there is any fur on the beds or furniture, we will apply the ADDITIONAL $75 pet cleaning fee. I hate to be so blunt, but we have been having some real challenges with some guests ignoring the dog house rules. thank you for your understanding. Creekside has a wonderful open floor plan with the living room, dining area, and kitchen in a large L-shape; 832 sq. ft. total. There are doors and windows EVERYWHERE. You can head out to the deck from either the kitchen or the dining room. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a full size bed, plus a loft above the living room that has a full size bed (you can see the ladder to the loft in the pictures; (PLEASE NOTE THAT IT ISN'T EASY FOR EVERYONE TO CLIMB THE LADDER TO THE LOFT). WE ARE ON A DELICATE SEPTIC SYSTEM. PLEASE READ THE INFO ON THE SYSTEM IN THE HOUSE INFO BOOK ON THE DESK IN THE LIVING ROOM. Dutch Bill Creek is a stone's throw away from the deck; you can hear the creek running from the bedrooms. The creek is seasonal, and, depending on the rainfall, goes dry from around June to October. There is a 40" HD television and we have cable-tv which includes ON-Demand programming as well as streaming Netflix, Spotify, and more. Wherever possible, we use high-efficiency florescent lights. These lights sometimes take a moment to illuminate. We do have back-up light bulbs on the top shelf of the closet in the small bedroom.
We are right on Dutch Bill Creek, a tributary of the famed Russian River. World Class Russian River Valley Wineries are within a short drive on Monte Rio, as are the towns of Occidental and Jenner, and the Pacific Coast. Monte Rio itself is a very quiet town four miles past Guerneville. There are a handful of shops and restaurants in Monte Rio, proper; including a movie theater in a barn - yes, a barn. Guerneville, just five minutes away, has plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, markets (including a 24-hour Safeway), banks, gas stations, and more. Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve is right there as well. At certain times, such a holidays, long weekends, or Russian River event weeks, there may be a longer minimum stay. We will certainly tell you the options available upon receiving your request.
  • Peter was a fabulous host! The cabin is located in the middle of the woods with lots of beautiful trees on the property. Beds were very comfortable - our family occupied all three. We especially appreciated the excellent kitchen set up, well stocked with basic seasoning/condiments and fully equipped with small appliances, pots and pans, and baking dishes- it was more than adequate for preparing full meals for a family. The place feels secluded -a major plus if you are looking for a retreat- but the location also couldn’t be beat for its proximity to local gems - there are endless possibilities for both quick outings and day trips. The coast is less than 30 minutes away. Well groomed hiking trails are even closer, and there are lots of great local eateries where you can take a break. All in all a wonderful, cozy place to spend a week or two!

    Julie2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • I was looking for seclusion and quiet and this place was wonderful! There is a neighbor right next door but I didn’t hear them once. The cabin is cozy and well-appointed. I like to cook for myself and the kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, utensils, a blender, a full-size fridge and gas range so I was very happy cooking here! Peter was caring and attentive and responded quickly to my questions. The sound of the creek right outside is pure heaven and the big glass window allow the light to pour in in the morning. I wanted to have a place to have personal work retreat surrounded my nature and the wifi worked great. I also was able to do some drawing on the deck. I took a walk up the road in the morning and it was so quiet in 45 minutes only one car passed me. The place feels clean and open and unfussy and at the same time cozy and comfortable in the chilly nights with wall heater, bedroom baseboard, the wood stove and all. Although the comforter is so warm and cozy no heat is needed in the chili nights. ( if you’re coming from another part of the country, please know that even if it’s a really hot day nighttime can be quite cool.) I appreciated the homey touches like a soft throw blanket on the couch and cloth napkins and placemats for the dining table. I hope to come back soon! Oh, yes and it was CLEAN - that’s a big deal to me!

    Sean2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, lovely spot that had everything we needed! Nestled within the redwoods but still bright with lots of windows. Loved seeing and hearing the rushing creek literally steps from the back door. Peter was immediately available when we needed help getting around a road closure on our way up. Would love to come back!

    Sue2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The house was cozy, and also plenty spacious for four adults. Great location to get to hiking trails and vineyards. We will definitely return.

    Mark2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is incredibly clean and comfortable. It is simply decorated but has everything you might need. There are enormous windows in the main spaces of the house which let you enjoy the beauty of the trees and creek even when you're inside. The cabin is also really conveniently located -- just minutes from Guerneville, the coast, and incredible state parks.

  • This place is magic. You will be totally enchanted by the space -- and the outdoor shower. It rained every morning and the most delightful sight was waking up to the bright red pop of the geraniums just outside the window. There's so much privacy. It's such a special place I will be staying here again sooN!

    Anna2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The place was fabulous. We ended up staying a day longer. Exquisite gardens and the space itself was beautifully and thoughtfully designed/furnished. Private, bright, clean. Surrounded by nature.

    Andrea2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable and private guesthouse on the hills of Inverness. My wife and I really enjoyed exploring the area. The place is very cozy with lots of interesting art and outdoor decorations. The garden and koi pond create a very relaxing environment. Drinking tea or coffee on the patio in the morning and listening to the birds is the best part!

  • We spent 4 nights at this wonderful Airbnb and could have stayed longer. It was beyond comfortable, cozy, and zen. The setting is nourishment for the soul and we left, feeling relaxed & rejuvenated. We loved the space, the environment, and the yoga/meditation studio. We will be back!

    Karen2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of those rare AirBNBs that makes you want to move and figure out how to live there. My girlfriend and I had just the getaway we needed. Inverness is so welcoming and relaxing and this place was perfect for resting and enjoying. The garden is sooooo relaxing and the bath with the open door (when I wanted) was perfect. The owner is an interior designer and it shows. I'd recommend this to anyone. This is one of those places that feels just like home, but the best part is there the area you stay isn't someone else's home, it's just for guests which makes it feel perfect for anyone.

Walking distance to Andy's produce, Roasters Coffee and the Joe Rodota trail (15 min walk) which leads directly to downtown Sebastopol & the Barlow. The location is perfect! It's close to Summerfield Waldorf & the SR Golf & Country Club. The guesthouse is private & to the rear of the house and faces an open lawn & garden area. Set just off Hwy 116 on a private lane.
Great patio outside great for sipping morning coffee or evening wine. Nice screened door leads to roomy hallway and open kitchen/living area. Most everything provided CABLE & WIFI, fluffy towels, fuzzy robes, shampoo, conditioner, soap etc. Large bathroom with all the amenities. Kitchen with lots of storage space...utensils, pots and pans, cookie sheets, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, kitchen staples etc. Washer/Dryer.. The neighborhood is quiet. It's in the country, but there are a few houses around. There are squirrels, turkeys, foxes, dogs, chickens and some night wildlife. Off Hwy 116 off a little lane all the way to the end. Very touristy area on the Hwy 116 corridor. Close to Merryhill Winery, Dutton-Goldfield tasting room, Mom's Apple Pie, the town of Graton, Willowood Restaurant, Kozlowski Farms, Andy's Produce Stand and Market. Korbel Winery and the Russian River is about 7-10 minutes away. Because of the fires in Sonoma County, we are currently storing couple of vehicles for family and friends.

  • This was our favorite Airbnb stay by far! The location is a perfect distance from a quaint town, wineries, the coast, and San Fran. Donna had everything you could need and the space was stylish and comfortable! Our only issue was a weak WiFi signal, but we were able to connect in the living room. 10/10 recommend staying here!

  • Great place to spend the weekend. Very quiet and secluded but quite close to anything you might need. The space is very comfortable and private, and exceptionally clean. The on site laundry facilities were great too. I would definitely stay here again.

  • This place is clean, quaint and cozy. It’s larger than what I expected. The host has a shelf full of things you might need: bandaids, hair dryer, aspirin, nail polish, etc. The host, Donna, replies quickly. She’s helpful and available should you need her. She lives on the property but she totally respects your privacy. I love the garden and all the homey feel the space gives you. You’re close to Downtown Sebastopol and The Barlow. We were also only a short drive to Bodega, Occidental, and Freestone. Great place to stay if you’re visiting. We would stay here again.

It was so nice to wake up to the sunrise and enjoy my cup of coffee with a beautiful view of the trees. Will definitely be back.

  • Lovely space in Sonoma county! Perfectly located to visit all that the area has to offer. Bodega Bay, Russian River, wine country, cheese and food! The space is perfect for a couple. It was lovely to have coffee in the morning and look out to a spectacular view. The space has everything you need and Zan is wonderfully warm. We loved meeting her and her two pups! Thanks, Zan! We definitely would love to return!

  • This place is a total gem and the perfect home-base for anyone who wants to explore the West County of Sonoma. I highly recommend it! Zan is a marvelous host and was responsive to anything I needed while also giving me plenty of privacy. It was great to feel part of the Occidental community. The place had everything I needed—the mini kitchen was perfectly efficient and the fireplace made the nighttimes cozy—plus many luxury touches, like an incredibly comfortable bed and huge modern bathroom. I enjoyed the stunning hillside views, morning sunshine, and peaceful vibes. Thank you, Zan!

  • Zan's delightful studio is a quaint peaceful spot to land when you're exploring the coastal area. The tub in the bathroom is delicious and so relaxing. All was as described in the listing. Everything was clean and in fine working order. We brought our pekingese dog who got along fine with Zan's 2 pups. Lilah, the chihuahua mix, was very friendly and curious. Sochi, the other pup, greeted us upon our arrival but was less than interested in hanging around. If your pup is aggressive, be careful. This is essentially Lilah's house. The room overlooks Sebastopol to the east (you gotta check out Sebastopol, especially for Sunday market). Be sure to head to Freestone and bring cash to the Wildflour bakery there. DO NOT SKIP IT.

  • A gem! We loved everything about this cottage. It is nestled in the forest just outside of Inverness...private, but definitely not isolated. It is just a quick 5-minute drive to Inverness, and only 15 minutes from the entrance to park headquarters. The layout of the cottage is perfect - just the right amount of space for a couple, and maybe one other person. The furnishings and bed are very comfortable, and the view is terrific. There are a lot of personal touches that make this place feel very homey, and not just like another generic rental. The kitchen was very well appointed, and the place was sparkling clean. Susan was terrific about communicating. She let us know that the power had been shut off a few days before, and gave instructions on how to reset the thermostat. All communication was prompt and timely. We loved this place!

  • This is a lovely space - quiet, well-cared for, and centrally located between Pt. Reyes Station/Bear Valley and the Lighthouse/Drake's beach. The deck is amazing. The bed is comfortable. The heater, water pressure, and kitchen amenities work like a dream. Highly recommend.

  • This is an extremely nice, well appointed and comfortable cottage, in a beautiful location. The photos don't quite do it justice. When we arrived, we said to ourselves "wow this place is really nice!" The kitchen is great, everything you'd need is there, the bedroom and bed are very comfortable, and the large outside porch is really nice, with beautiful views, lots of sunshine. Plus the cottage is in a very peaceful and secluded location. We were very happy with our stay.

  • We had a fantastic family vacation. My husband, daughters, and fur children came home refreshed and relaxed. Beautiful sunsets, carefully curated stylish decor, very comfortable home with good vibes. The hot tub and infared sauna we’re my favorite things. Make sure to stop and get a soft serve at Dillon General Store. It’s from a local dairy and it’s a must. We can’t wait to go back.

  • My 80 year old mother and I had a fabulous stay at Bleu Bay Cottage! It’s our second stay there and many upgrades had been made since two years ago (which was already great then): new induction stove, new spiral stair, new gas bbq, all great additions to an already awesome place. Every detail is thought of and the place is beautifully situated on the water. Peaceful, comfortable, a truly special place. We’ll be back!

  • Absolutely divine, perfect location, truly adorable house. We come up to the area every year and have never had a nicer stay. The house is utterly perfect for enjoying the bay, the divine oysters and many other local amazing spots.

    Crystal2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a gorgeous location. The house is well appointed, very clean, and really comfy. I could sit in front of the fire or in the hot tub staring at the view all day long! I wish we could have stayed longer and we're already trying to figure out when we can go back.

    Robyn2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Aaron's home is SPECTACULAR. We felt like we were on a peaceful house boat all to ourselves. The grill was key, the hot tub was luxurious, the kitchen well-appointed. We would love, love, love to return!

    Abby2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a cozy place with a killer view of Tomales Bay. Really quiet. Nice bedroom loft. Stayed here with our two adult children. The two fold-out sofas were comfy, and there was enough privacy for them (most of the time). If you like a good small town event including pancake breakfast, Inverness (across the bay, about 30 minutes drive) has their annual fair on the first Saturday of August.

  • Excellent hideaway for weekend or extended stays, super comfortable and surprisingly better than described. The negative review of road noise did not bother us at all. Host checked in with us immediately to remedy any issues found on arrival, of which there were none. This is how AirBnB should work every time.

    Michael2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a fantastic location and beautiful vacation cottage. Spacious and well-appointed. And the wood-burning stove is the cherry on the top. If you're visiting the Point Reyes area you won't go wrong staying here.

    Zach2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is absolutely fantastic: gorgeous, open, cozy, and well-designed. I'd definitely come back and recommend that others stay here.

    Michelle2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Really cute cottage. Beautifully-decorated and both a convenient and serene location. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

  • Great cabin for a weekend getaway!

    Mark2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • We’re big lovers of Marin but had never spent deliberate time in Inverness and loved our two days tremendously, by and large for the home we found in this well equipped and cozy cabin. David and Sandhya were wonderful, attentive hosts and provided all the guidance and special touches to make our stay seamless and meaningful. Great location, clean, comfortable, and grounding space. We especially took advantage of the the wood stove and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and working our way through the record collection. We’d happily return!

If you love the modern, clean style of boutique hotels, but crave privacy, serenity and glorious natural beauty, this is the place for you. We're that way, too. So we designed and built our modern hilltop hideaway to create a best-of-both-worlds experience for our guests. Call it Zen luxury with a view... and every amenity, including breakfast! From the moment you set foot in VILLA CIEL to the moment you leave, you’ll experience a heightened feeling of inspiration, relaxation and reconnection.
The French word "CIEL" has two meanings: "SKY" and "HEAVEN." When you visit, you'll know why this was the obvious name for our very special vacation retreat. Located in the most scenic part of Western Sonoma County, with long views over the Mayacama mountains (which straddle Sonoma and Napa counties) and rolling hills studded with vineyards, orchards, and farms, VILLA CIEL was designed from the ground up for guests who seek a stylish, serene haven with virtually every amenity they could desire. That means modern architecture, design and furniture... a private hot tub... fresh flowers, delicious breakfast, French press, and chilled drinks... up-to-the-minute technology (ultra-fast internet, private EV charger, bluetooth speaker, 4K Smart TV)... private parking and entrance... your own washer and dryer, towel warmers, heated floors and air conditioning — all in a stunning rural setting, with MAJESTIC, amphitheater-like vistas. VILLA CIEL takes advantage of Sonoma County’s famously fabulous weather, with a classic, airy, indoor-outdoor design. Drift in and outside of your scenic wraparound deck. Stargaze. Watch the sun (or moon) rise from your private hot tub, suspended high above the rolling fields on our 8-acre property. Or gaze in awe as the fog rolls in, a glass of local Pinot in your hand. Our Mediterranean climate offers generous, dry, sunny days for much of the year, and always-cool nights... perfect for all-day fun adventures like sightseeing, hiking, wine-tasting, brewery-hopping, cycling, shopping, laughing, and dining... and deep, restful sleep at the end of the day. Speaking of sleep, you'll fall into a super-comfortable bed with new Leesa mattress and ultra-soft sheets and down comforter. You'll also relish a spa-like bathroom with oversized shower drenched in morning sunlight, heated floors, fluffy towels with towel warmer, robes and slippers, fully stocked with toiletries and bathroom necessities. You'll even find a few extras... like your own sparkling-clean washer and dryer, ironing board, and (yes!) even a clean yoga mat — everything you need to get comfortable and stay awhile. Enter your suite from a private redwood door onto a generous, sleek deck with a jaw-dropping view. The deck features a brand-new spa, all-weather seating, outdoor grill, outdoor heater, and large, modern Italian dining room table — the perfect setup for cocktails, wine-tasting and al-fresco dining. The deck also frames a lovely kitchenette and indoor bar with wraparound windows (it doubles as a laptop station should you be so inclined). You’ll find your kitchenette stocked with delicious, local, organic breakfast fare, as well as fresh fruit — and perhaps a few other seasonal goodies as well, courtesy of your chef-hostess. If you need to go online, you’ll definitely appreciate our hyper-fast internet service. VILLA CIEL also has a brand-new Ultra HD-4K Smart Roku TV with active Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Now, Sling and Acorn accounts — and many dozens of other services available — if you feel like nesting and binge-watching. We've tried to think of every luxurious amenity you could desire... but the truth is, the ultimate "amenity" is the stunning, year-round beauty of Sonoma County and our magic hilltop hideaway. At VILLA CIEL, you will feel the intensity of nature’s ever-changing beauty and the special bounty that is the gift of this gorgeous region, barely an hour from the Golden Gate Bridge, and 20 minutes from the stunning Pacific Ocean. So come join us. Rest. Recharge. Reconnect with what inspires you. Celebrate a special occasion. Enjoy a truly romantic sojourn. Stay for a long weekend or a blissful vacation. VILLA CIEL offers all that a boutique hotel offers... and plenty of what it can’t— privacy, peace, serenity and... most of all... glorious natural beauty.
Only an hour from the Golden Gate Bridge and 20 minutes from the ocean, you'll be forgiven if you think you might’ve taken a wrong turn and landed in Tuscany (or Scotland, if you're at the coast!). Such is the power, beauty and diversity of the weather and landscape that surrounds us here. VILLA CIEL is perfectly situated to take advantage of all that this special region offers. Located at the top of a quiet hill, we are secluded and serene, with breathtaking views all around. Yet we are only 10-15 minutes from some of the most incredible food — casual to elevated — available anywhere. And no more than 45 minutes away from numberless scenic towns, villages and hamlets... iconic tasting rooms... redwood groves and parks... pastures and prairies... and stunning Pacific Coast beaches. The vibrant small town of Sebastopol, with its world-class eateries, wineries, breweries, distillers, its bookstores, antiques, theater company and art-cinema cineplex — and the amazing Barlow artisanal complex — is a mere 12 minutes down the road. Healdsburg — world-famous for its plaza, restaurants and unique shops — is a gorgeous 30-minute drive away across the Russian River and along the vineyard-studded Dry Creek Valley. Enjoy an unforgettable massage, facial or Japanese cedar bath at the award-winning Osmosis (5 minutes away). Go on a wine trail, an art trail, a cheese trail, forage for mushrooms, visit the old-grove redwoods at the astonishing Armstrong Woods. If cycling’s your thing, you’ll soon see why Western Sonoma County is mecca for scenic biking — and a frequent stage of the Tour de California. You could come here a dozen times, and never run out of inspiring, exciting things to do. (In fact, that’s why we ended up moving here...) We are here to help you make the most of your time with us.
  • A charming, quiet and clean respite from the every day hustle and bustle of the world. Viviane and Marc are terrific hosts that genuinely care about the quality of their guest's stay. The view is spectacular and the peace that comes along with it...priceless.

  • This place is perfect

    Ryan2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This little haven was an absolute dream with so many thoughtful touches. Every detail thought of and provided, from the towel warmer to the French press with coffee and half and half. Lovely space and gorgeous views.

    Erin2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place!!! The view! The hot tub! The bed that feels like a cloud! The space is very nicely decorated with many thoughtful touches (robes, heated towel rack, bottle of champagne waiting on ice at arrival) made our stay very special.

    Eyana2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I just spent 2 glorious nights at Villa Ciel. The setting is spectacular and Viviane’s attention to detail is pretty amazing. From breakfast including home made granola to luxurious robes for the delightful hot tub to so much more made it a perfect stay. However, what really impressed us both was the kindness and hospitality of Viviane and Marc. They both want out of their way to assure our stay was special and it most definitely was. We are already planning our return!

    Debra2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing space. I wish I could live there. Literally did not want to leave. Everything is high quality, and well though out.

    Jesse2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a charming and relaxing place to stay. We especially enjoyed the views of the valley from the patio and Jacuzzi as well as the thoughtful touches left by the hosts, including local bread, eggs, and granola! We wished we could have stayed longer and would love to stay here again!

    Aja2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Viviane and Marc are incredible as is their Villa! Do not hesitate to stay here! This was my most favorite part of my trip. The Villa was clean with amazing views. The personal touches and goodies Viviane left made the trip so memorable. I cannot wait to stay here again!

My home is in the country on 6 redwood acres with a private guest bedroom and an adjoining large private bathroom with a tub and shower. The queen size bed is comfortable. The living room and deck areas are available to relax in with a great view of the redwoods. All my neighbors are out of sight and quiet.
You can't miss the entry because there are stacks of milled lumber drying alongside the driveway. You will be staying in the redwoods among ancient trees in a craftsman designed home. Enjoy your cozy bedroom and a spacious bathroom with a claw foot tub and separate shower. In my country house it takes some time for the hot water to reach the faucet so please be patient.
Near my home you will find excellent early morning coffee shops in Bodega, Bodega Bay, and Occidental. Bodega is about 3 miles from my house and Bodega Bay and the Pacific coast is about 9 miles. Occidental, with its many restaurants and gift shops, is 4 miles away. Our west Sonoma county region is renowned for its ancient redwoods, beautiful coast and beaches, picturesque wine country, art galleries, antique stores, and gift shops, as well as delicious restaurants. You can hike, bike, fish, surf, kayak, bird or whale watch, or relax on the beach. Or go wine tasting! If youre looking for a zip line adventure, Sonoma Canopy Tours is just down the road from Occidental. Or continue north on Bohemian Highway to reach Monte Rio and the Russian River. Depending on your interests I'll do my best to point you in the appropriate direction.
  • This is a stunning facility, in the middle of a Redwood forest off the beaten track. A great base for the coast and for wonderful places like Armstrong Woods.

    Andy2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very nice private room hiding inside woods. The only advice I would give is that you have to shower REAAALLY quickly. Other than that, everything’s wonderful. Ralph is super nice and even brought us take-out for dinner.

    Haruka2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet setting nestled in the forest. Ralph is a very interesting host. He provided us with lots of local knowledge. It was a great place for us to spend two nights while exploring the area.

    Nancy2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Imagine waking up to insanely tall redwood trees around you, in a home built by an architect. That’s exactly what Ralph’s place is. My husband and I had a lovely time exploring his forest property in the morning after arriving late the previous night, which is quite daunting in the dark if you’re not a good driver by the way - his place is deep in. But because of that, we enjoyed one of the most peaceful evenings we’ve had on our West Coast road trip. The room: The water takes a little while to heat up and the electricity went out in some plugs in the morning. This is to be expected in country houses. The space itself was beautifully furnished, and Ralph provided a space heater and extra blanket to ward off the cold. The bed was really comfortable. We had no complaints!

    Louisa2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location - A+ views from the bedroom window. It was so quite and peaceful in the morning. Do download local google map area for directions - cell service is spotty.

    Oleg2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful wooded setting.

    Mary2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Ralph’s home was comfortable and stylish. We enjoyed the artwork all throughout the house and his extensive backyard of redwoods. It was so quiet but only 20 minutes to Bodega Bay. Plus, it was near to the town of Occidental which we explored and throughly enjoyed. We would definitely stay with Ralph again. The room was comfy with plenty of space for luggage. The bathroom was large and had a claw foot tub in addition to the shower. Ralph was nice enough to provide coffee and a French press and electric kettle too. There was enough blankets and heavy curtains. The shower had great water pressure but you had to be quick or the heat would run out lol. We would definitely stay with Ralph again!

    Heather2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our 2 night stay at Ralph’s place! It’s location in amongst the redwoods is just stunning and makes for a quiet, relaxing stay. Ralph is a very friendly, welcoming host with loads of local knowledge. The bedroom and bathroom are a good size and very comfortable. Happy to recommend Ralph’s Airbnb to other travellers. We drove into Occidental for breakfast at Howard’s cafe and didn’t need to eat again till the evening!

Play golden oldies on an upright piano in a home filled with antique furniture, folk art, and gleaming hardwood floors. The kitchen and bathroom also retain their vintage vibe. Wander into the garden and have lunch in the dappled shade of a pergola.
The house has two bedrooms that look out on the gardens. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has a double bed. There is a well-equipped kitchen and laundry room. Water in the house is delicious, purified well water. A 55" tv is in one of the bedrooms (disguised by a pull-down map). It has Roku but no cable. Enjoy lots of games and books to read, a piano in the living room and access to high speed internet and WiFi.
The house is located in apple country, outside the small town of Sebastopol. It's very easy to find in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood across the street from a Christmas tree farm. Apple orchards and vineyards are within walking distance.
  • Martha's home was fabulous, we felt very welcomed and it was within a 20 min drive from Nap, Bodega bay and Occidental.

    Trish2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a find! Martha’s place was perfectly situated - secluded, yet close to everything. The decor was so cozy and comfortable, and I loved all of the artful details. It had everything needed for a getaway weekend. Would absolutely recommend this stay and hope to visit again!

    Ariel2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

  • A really cozy place to stay for a family of 4. My wife chose this place based on reviews and it turned out to be better than what we expected. Martha, the host was in constant communication with us to make sure we were able to check-in with no issues. We enjoyed the stay with all the amenities and strongly recommend this Airbnb for anyone who is planning to visit the Sebastapol area.

You are within minutes of downtown Sebastopol for restaurants, shops and wineries, within 20 to 30 minutes from Russian River, Bodega Bay, Tomales Bay, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, and Petaluma. The property is in a countryside setting, quiet, serene, with a lot of pine trees as well as fruit trees, yet within minutes of downtown and shops.
  • The house is a beautiful, clean, modern one; set in the quiet hills of Sebastopol. It is surrounded by an exceptionally well cared for couple of acres, and it is as private as it gets. Behrouz was a wonderful host, and we could not have asked for better!

    Casimir2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing! Peaceful, rolling hills surround you, the water fountain is soothing and relaxing and the space itself is immaculate! Located an hour from the ocean, San Francisco or Wine country...this is a stellar location and outstanding host! The town itself is a gem of artistic energy and beauty, so whether you will be staying in town or exploring...this place is a treasure. I look forward to staying again!

  • Such a beautiful stay, the room and bed is very comfortable. Nice get away from the city.

    Georgia2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and serene. Beautiful relaxing property. It was almost like I had my own mini suite, with bedroom, tv room and bathroom all to myself. Waking up to the pine trees outside my window was serene and relaxing. So close to Sebastapol. Behrouz was very informative about all of the surrounding areas and kind. I'll be back!

In the heart of Sonoma's wine and redwood country, we offer a beautiful setting to relax and restore. We are a short walk from the Wildflour Bakery, Osmosis Enzyme Spa, [featured in Sunset magazine], the Artesian Cheese shop and a vegetable farm. Please note, contrary to the listed amenities, we do NOT have a kitchen. We Do have hot water, hangers, and a blow dryer, which are listed as not available. Having technical problems with the amenity site.
On 44 acres of pasture and redwoods, we offer a lovely, private bedroom, [in its own building], up a short flight of stairs. It has it's own deck overlooking a view of redwoods and fruit trees. The private bathroom and shower are downstairs. It comfortably fits two people. Ten minutes from Bodega Bay, we are located in the heart of the redwoods and wine country! Nearby hiking, biking, water sports, wineries, and fabulous restaurants are a short drive in any direction. Freestone Paradise has just been renovated with "green", in mind. The bed is handmade organic cotton and the building materials are non voc. At this time we are not set up for pets.
Freestone is a quaint, historical, charming spot. Too small to be called a town, it boasts a fabulous bakery, cheese shop, winery, an enzyme spa, and Busy Bee's vegetable farm! We are ten minutes from the ocean, just as close to Occidental and Sebastopol, and twenty minutes from the Russian River. The climate is moderate, but bring layers as the temperature can vary, even in the course of a day! There are art studios, farmers markets, outdoor concerts, and, of course, the diverse countryside. Each nearby town boasts it's own unique flavor. It is a slice of paradise.
  • I cannot recommend this highly enough! Perfect rural getaway with a trail through a redwood grove on the property. Melanie was an incredibly thoughtful and kind host. The room is perfect, and the bed is incredibly comfortable.

    Geoffrey2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a separate stand alone two story unit behind the main house. It’s quiet, isolated (that’s what I like), and offers beautiful vistas of the countryside at every turn. Everything was clean and convenient. By the way, there’s a bakery called Wild Flour only a stone’s throw from here. It’s a real artisanal bakery....I got a sticky bun....it was good, but as heavy as a brick. I finished it off pretty quick but was so full I couldn’t focus on the day’s activity until the afternoon, and certainly couldn’t eat again that day. It’s enough for 4 people, although I’m not sure what all this says about my impulse control.

  • Neat and tidy little cottage. Very quiet during our stay. A pleasant 20 minute walk along the backroads will get you to the village, where there are several good places to eat (at least when they're not closed due to corona virus). Best of all, of course, it's close to all the wonderful Point Reyes attractions.

There is a small fenced in patio so you can let the dog outside without having to leash up every time which is nice. It's also a very nice neighborhood to walk in. Thanks, Jeri!

The house was very comfortable, and included everything one could possibly want or need. The hot tub and sauna worked perfectly and having a fenced yard for the dogs was an added bonus. Ben kept in touch with us regarding any needs we may have had. He even let us know where to check out the tide pools which we enjoyed exploring. It was the perfect place for a year-end getaway. Watching the sunrises and sunsets from the deck was a highlight. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend this cottage. Absolutely top notch!

This home is a dream, perfectly situated on the water and in an excellent location for hiking, paddling, and oysters! This 1952 Terry trailer has retired and attached itself to a modern living space, complete with heated flooring, push button fireplace and skylights. There is a separate entrance and the trailer/living space is secluded in the redwoods. There is a hot tub, yoga room and fire pit that is set in front of a 2000 year old redwood. The two acres of garden were featured in the Sonoma Garden Tour. Perfect place to unplug and call home when touring the wine country.
This space is unique because of the gardens it is set in. It is very secluded even though the house is on the property. The trailer was owned by one family that traveled in it with 4 children in the 50's. It has been given a new life while it still feels like the good ole days when you step inside. The living space is ultra comfortable and taking a shower with the redwoods close enough to touch makes it an experience steeped in nature.
The most outstanding thing about the neighborhood, besides the magnificence of the forest, is the absolute peace and quiet. The neighbors are very friendly but you probably won't hardly see them.
  • Charmging & beautiful place. Fantastic place to rest your head & renew your soul.

  • Only an hour and 15 from San Francisco but a world away. The drive is gorgeous, the beach is long and lovely and the house is perfectly situated at the top of the trail leading to the beach. The trail ends on a rocky area so we didn’t have a problem shimmying off the rocks but seniors or those with mobility issues would. You just need to drive over to the beach which isn’t far. As a family, we scrambled back-and-forth between the path in the house every day all day with our 4 lb Yorkshire terrier following us. The views are amazing. Sitting out in the hot tub at sunset every night was one of our favorite memories and we would laugh and talk as a family . My sister came up for the day and fell in love with Dillon Beach too. When we arrived at the home, they had turned on the heaters and had all the lights on and had soft music playing on the TVs. They have a lot of board games in addition to the game room. We ordered groceries from Good Eggs and brought up the boxes of food because the restaurant at Dillon Beach is closed and my daughter’s have to eat gluten free. It was really easy. We didn’t want to have to go in search of food for every meal so we just packed all of our food in and they have everything you need to cook. My 10 year old loved the snow cone machine. The dryer wasn’t working And they sent somebody over immediately to take care of it and got it working . We live in San Francisco and know that ants are a problem so make sure you protect your food because the ants in Northern California like to make themselves at home in local homes. We left out muffins in their plastic case and the ants got them. Just be aware. The refrigerator is huge and spacious so we put the rest of our bread in there. We have the same issues at our house too. Gorgeous location.

If you are looking for a quiet non smoking, relaxing retreat that is centrally located to all that Sonoma County can offer, then the Pumpalow is for you. Our place is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, cyclist and business travelers. It's a stand-alone building with a cozy bedroom/living space (w/HDTV & WiFi). A nicely private bathroom and patio area. It sits on 10 acres in the beautiful countryside south of. Your nearest neighbors are some docile cows and a variety of wild birds.
The room has a queen size bed, with a down feather comforter. A refrigerator, toaster and a coffee maker are provided, with a variety of teas, coffee and bottled water. The bedding and towels are washed with Clorox, and a Scented Laundry Soap. The pillow cases are ironed with a Light Scented Starch. The room is cleaned with Clorox, Windex and the furniture is polished with a Lemon Scent Oil. The products used in the room are also used throughout our home.
Our neighborhood is very quiet, as you are coming up our driveway you will see cows on our property they belong to a dairy across Hwy 116. The cows are brought to us when the calves have been weaned off their mothers and they stay here for six to nine months. To the left the brown house it's a working little ranch they raise pigs and have a vegetable garden run by an organization who teach mentally challenged people to become independent, they work, grow and sell the vegetables and pigs. They put a sign out when they have vegetables to sell, if your interested you can buy from them. Further up their driveway the grey house they boarder horses and train them. Across from our home on the corner of Hessel and Henning our neighbors there, they rescue animals, they have a llama, miniature pony, two donkeys, pigs, ducks and dogs and cats. At times we go down to give the animals carrots. So feel free to check out them out. The animals like visitors.
  • Jenny's place was the perfect getaway for me and my boyfriend. It was quaint and had all the amenities we could need for the weekend. The surrounding area was quiet and beautiful, with lots of cute animals. We particularly liked how it was a midpoint between Petaluma, Sebastopol, and Santa Rosa. Thanks so much!

    Katherine2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny’s space is SO beautiful, and the property is so quiet and peaceful. The cows are adorable and Jenny has MANY recommendations for things to do or places to eat (Korbel and Gypsy were our personal faves)! I would have loved to stay longer and will 100% be looking to stay here again if work brings me back this way!

    Ashley2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such a nice quiet place to stay. Not huge but it had great matress, plenty of covers, frig/microwave, place to sit inside and out. The yard is really pretty. Wish we would have had more time to enjoy the patio and property.

  • A better place for a stay can’t be found! Biking the back roads was lovely but don’t trust google maps - get the local scoop!

  • Awesome, awesome, awesome. Our 1st Air BnB experience and I could not have hoped for anything more. Private, clean, beautiful grounds, great location. Forget hotels. Can't wait to stay again.

  • I enjoyed my stay. Everything was as advertised. Great location, just off a major road. Easy access to downtown. Nice grounds, wireless and cable TV worked great! Nice touches in the bungalow. Comfy bed.

  • The Pumpalow was absolutely perfect. Immaculate, comfortable, and quiet. The location in Sonoma County was really convenient to our activities, and Jenny and Len were just the kindest most gracious hosts. Highly recommend!

    Patti2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny and Len were spectacular hosts. A cozy, pristine studio, with an ultra comfy bed, garden ornament and wonderful bird feeders in the surrounding yard. Easy access and commute to Petaluma. A wonderful space for the price.

Rustic high-end room in restored log home. Old hickory furniture, organic bedding / towels, hand-made tiles in bathroom, spring water, outside porch swing, views of Mt. Vision, heritage oak trees, and trails running up Inverness ridge and into Point Reyes National Seashore, with beaches and wonderful hiking. Abundant wildlife lives in our garden - spotted owls, ospreys, bobcats, gray foxes, mule deer, and even coyotes. My home is a wild retreat - private, peaceful, restorative.
This room is private with it's own entrance. We live in the other half of the cabin and we are quiet and respectful hosts. This is a beautiful location, on a south-facing flat sunny knoll. No other neighbors are visible from here. We are at the end of a road, with trails heading up into the hills. The yard is unfenced, and there is an abundance of wildlife. Many birds migrate through this area, and it's known as a birder's paradise.
Inverness is lovely, you can swim in Tomales Bay (or if you're brave the Pacific Ocean) and there are a couple of wonderful restaurants and a library, post office and store nearby. We are close (about 10 minutes drive) to Point Reyes station which has fabulous shops, restaurants, bakery, bookstore, grocery store and more. There are several hikes from our back door into the protected parklands, and you can easily drive into the Point Reyes National Seashore from here (another 10 minutes in the other direction).
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Raven's and we love Point Reyes.

    Whitney2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t recommend this place enough!

    Dave2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cabin on a hill. Easy, quick drive to town or hiking areas. Raven was wonderful to work with, quick replies and would checkin everyday to see how we were or if we needed anything. Cabin is clean and quiet, small, definitely a 2 person max. Fire pit was great! Lovely front porch swing! Merlin the cat was a doll! Would highly recommend and would return if we get back here (hopefully soon!)

    Miranda2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Raven‘s place is wonderful. A beautiful cabin in nature, with views on the forest, hills and the sun shining through the big windows. Raven is very helpful with anything you need and will have the place sparkling clean for you. A great choice!

    Fabian2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cannot express in words how much I loved it here! So serene, so quiet -- a perfect destination for a writer's retreat :)

    Dave2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space to stay in for a few days. It felt like our own private cabin and it was extremely clean. Would stay again!

    Benjamin2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Raven's place is conveniently located near Inverness and Point Reyes Station. The cabin is petite, which my wife and I found perfect for a low-key weekend getaway. Local tip: if you plan on dining at Saltwater Oyster Depot, call for reservations! We didn't and the kitchen ran out of food that evening and they weren't able to seat us. A great nearby alternative is Sun Marin Farms (incorrectly listed as just a butcher shop of google). Great selection of dishes, including non-meat items.

    Alexander2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful!! I had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back again! Raven was super sweet, helpful, and communicative. Highly recommend :)

Avoid the crowds, stay in a spotless home, and get into nature! COVID-19 Message from Point Reyes Vacation Rentals: Your safety and comfort is our priority. We have always been obsessed with the cleanliness of our homes, and in light of the growing COVID-19 situation, we are increasing our already stringent cleaning procedures and policies. Our cleaning and maintenance staff have been, and will continue to be updated and informed to ensure that the homes we manage are as safe, if not safer than, anywhere one could hope to be, especially in times like this. We don’t normally use harsh cleaning products, but we are adding bleach and other products into the mix out of an abundance of caution. We use Alsco linen service, which already complies with stringent standards for hospitals, so you can rest assured that the linens are fresh and disinfected. • I’m not quite sure where to begin with this one... Absolutely outstanding. Aaron’s gem of a house is the perfect place to step away from the city and clear your mind or enjoy time with friends & family. Location: The Tomales bay cottage is waterfront nestled among a small strip of homes just an hour or so from the city. Close enough for a weekend trip, yet far away you’ll forget you’re still in the Bay Area. A short drive from some deliciously eclectic sea food joints makes this a great jumping off point to explore the Marin/Point Reyes area and all it has to offer. The House: Modern, yet homey and a perfectly aesthetic fit for the stunning panoramic lake views. My group had a hard time deciding if we enjoyed listening to the water while lounging on the private dock or sipping tea and gazing through the gathering area windows. Aaron’s place was perfectly outfitted with all the necessities as well as a few very welcomed additions like the board games & tea mentioned above. Communication: Excellent communication from start to finish. Check-in was a breeze. Nothing more to say. Overall this was the idealistic 5/5 Airbnb experience. Thanks for letting us relish in this little piece of paradise for a few days!
