Great stay. Clean, stylish and very comfortable room with lovely beds. Its also really quite despite being so centrally located. Also there is tea and coffee provided in the rooms and a lovely clean and modern bathroom with bath and shower. Sian is a really warm and professional host. Showed me the facilities and then left me to my own devices. I stayed here to access rest bay for surfing. I would definitely stay again.

Sian was very accommodating to our arrival time even up to an hour before hand. She gave helpful advice on where to park our car. The room was big and airy and clean. Tea and coffee were available in the room. We had our two boys under 5 years old with us and there was a lovely selection of toys for them to play with when we were in the room. Great location with a lovely cafe at the end of the road for a coffee!

Our stay with Sian was just really short but still great. We really felt welcomed and Sian is such a nice and open Person. The Room was really clean and comfortable. The location is also great, just a few minutes walk to the seaside. Very recommendable!

Highly recommend this place to travellers and holiday makers alike. I was visiting the area for work and found the 'House of fun' to be a home away from home. Sian is the best hostess, she makes you feel very welcome and relaxed. The room is spotless and so homely. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom is clean and modern. The whole house is a luxury Airbnb stay! I will definitely be returning.

The only negative to write of was the all too brief nature of our visit. In town for a family wedding. We arrived to a warm welcome from Helen, who after a brief show-around of the room/bathroom was respectful and understanding of our need to get ready for the evening's celebrations. The room was beautifully presented and made for a very comfy night's sleep upon our return. Thank you both for an easy and relaxed stay in the midst of a frantic turn around to get to the reception!

The room is absolutely amazing, big, airy, warm, light, comfortable - perfect! The bathroom is right next to the room too and so clean! Only issue I had was that my phone didn't pick the wi-fi up in the room but was no biggy as there was everything I needed in the room included a tele. Helen even gave me a mince pie in the evening!

Helen and Rick, have a beautiful home, the room was lovely, light, spacious and very clean. It was my birthday and they were even kind enough to leave a card and chocolates in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the extra little touches like magazines, tea and coffee in room were fab! The location is excellent, so close to shops and esplanade but still very quiet with no road noise. All in all a fantastic stay, thank you.

Stayed for the weekend and it was a beautiful modern home very close to the sea (2 mins walking!). The house was very cosy and was provided with wine, milk and bread. The kitchen is very well equiped to make simple meals and the bedrooms were really comfortable with fluffy pillows and blankets! Porthcawl is a lovely town by the sea with lots of pubs and restaurants and it is only about a 40 min drive to Cardiff! Would definitely recommend :)

This place is in a great location. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful and soo close to the beach. There are several pubs near by and it is a short drive into the main town. It is perfectly placed to explore all up the coast. The host was very communicative and friendly too.

Denise made us very welcome and we had a fantastic time staying here. Location is amazing backing onto the sand dunes and then the beach and we found lots of other spots to visit with just short car journeys. Fabulous coastal walks all around and the beach behind Ar Lan Y Mor is dog friendly all year round. More than enough room for us as the house is bigger than it appears in the photos. Thanks!

Co-located near Newton and Porthcawl this dinky little well provided house is right beside the sand dunes and once you know how to get there, it's a real find.

The flat we stayed in was great. Walking distance from the beach, shame about the weather at the time though. :) Krishna was great with email/message contact and it was arranged very smoothly. Will hopefully stay again in the summer when the weather might be better for the surf!

Krishnna is really kind and helpful and he reply my message quickly. We arrived too late, but he still waited for us and gave some help, like we couldn't found the entry door and he was told us patiently. There is free parking area and find the apartment easily. The apartment is a great location, which is near the beach and amusement park for 5 minutes.

Friendly, helpful host. Everything in the flat worked, good shower, cooker etc. Bed reasonably comfortable. No curtains in the lounge, making sleep difficult for the third person. Flat much smaller than expected and a bit too cramped for three adults. Could have been cleaner, especially the fridge. Very good location for accessing the beach, shops and town centre. Neighbourhood run down and noisy, particularly on Friday and Saturday nights. A little overpriced for what it was.

Bedding was dirty, itchy first night we had to wash the bedding before the second night, very dusty and we had no choice but to beg owner for a vacuum cleaner which did not work, bathroom was filthy, wife had to clean on our holiday with the kids.,awful experience.

Krishna is a super helpful and approachable host - we'd love to stay again one day! He offered to help us with our bags and provide information about the local area if we needed it, and left us some further reading in the apartment along with the wifi info. The trecco caravan park is huge! Caravan is 2min walk from the beach, and nearly in front of the football pitch. Caravan is well equiped with duvets, kitchen items, games, etc. Although if you are 8 like us i would advise to take a big pot with you if you plan on cooking. Didnt meet Nichola but she was very reactive to messages and easy check in and out. Good central location to go around south wales with 3 cliffs bay on one side and Southerndown on the other.

Nichola's caravan is ideally located at the heart of the caravan park, a stone's throw from the idyllic sandy beach and steps away from the playground and other amenities. The double bed in one of the three bedrooms was more than comfy enough for two adults, though we felt the twin beds in the other two rooms are best suited for children as they are quite narrow. Check-in and check-out were easy with a secure key drop and all in all, we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks again, Nichola.

Very comfortable well equipped holiday home. The living area has everything you need and is very spacious. The site is immaculately maintained and just a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed eating out at The Jolly Sailor, a 10 minute walk away. Also it is just over half an hour walk to Porthcawl. We treated ourselves to a taxi in the evening which is a fixed fare of £4 before 8pm each way and £5 after 8. It is great area where you can walk for miles along the beach towards Ogmore. Also Porthcawl town centre is very pleasant to wander round with some interesting shops and a few small boutiques. We like Olivias cafe for lunch. Excellent food and cheerful staff and it wont break the bank. A great holiday area all round.

Holiday park is right on the beach which is huge, sandy and with rock pools to explore. The caravan had everything we needed and was very clean. We had a great time.

The accommodation was comfortable and spacious enough for 2 families. kids had great time with the toys/games available within and the play area. Had a nice time walking on the beach. On the whole a perfect holiday destination

The flat is roomy, light and with great sea views, comfortable bed and good basic kitchen equipment. We knew the area already and chose it for great seaside and cycling.

Beautiful, extremely spacious apartment in the centre of the quiet village of Nottage. Above the village shop and you would have no idea such a large apartment was hidden there. Done out to a very high standard and extremely comfortable and well-equipped. James and Laura were very helpful both before we arrived and during our stay and easily contactable. They recommended the Rose and Crown just round the corner and we had a lovely meal there.

Had a fantastic weekend stay in this beautiful place, great location for exploring the Welsh coastline. The accommodation was lovely, very clean and fitted out to a very high standard, and much larger than expected - the photos don't do it justice at all. Above a friendly village store which has everything you need for your trip. James was a great host and even put some beers in the fridge for us for when we arrived ;)

We stayed here as we need to be near Cardiff which is around half an hour away. The apartment is very clean and lovely with lots of new equipment. James checked us in and was very helpful and available should we need him. everything worked in the apartment and was comfortable. The location is in a quiet village but with pubs and above a shop. There is a little noise from the shop equipment downstairs which is to be expected.

First timer for airbnb and a last minute booking as needed to visit a relative in hospital. Searched for something to suit a family of 4 and this looked promising. James was a great host and the flat did not disappoint. Clearly it has been recently renovated and done a great job with good quality fixtures/fittings and plenty of space to chill out. Even managed to get a good breakfast at the Rose&Crown, a stone's throw from the flat. Location wise it's a reasonable walk or 5min drive to the coastline and everything that has to offer. Would definitely consider staying here again, so much better that cramming into a "family room" at one of the mainstream hotel chains.

We had a really nice stay, the apartment while basic it was a good size with all the the things you need to stay away from home including well equipped kitchen (we cooked most nights), comfortable lounge and bedrooms. The location was great for the beach and a well stocked co op was just a couple min drive away. While we did not make the most of the local area as we were meeting family the host has left a comprehensive welcome folder with lots of info about places to visit in the local area. The host was super helpful and quick to contact me when I had lost the email instructions on how to get the keys.

The first thing to know about this listing is that Guy is really good about communication. The flat is comfortable, well-stocked, and in a good location.

The apartment was a perfect location for my visit to the area. It has easy access to the beach and scenic walking areas. There was plenty of room and very comfortable for my daughter and I.

This is a very nice and very reasonably priced listing. The house is only steps away from a beach in Porthcawl in a nice neighbourhood. The accommodation is very clean and spacious. From this location you have great access to many sites such as Brecon Beacons or St Donats and Nash Point. Well worth it!

Guy is a good host and was quick to respond to any queries. Accessibility was excellent and the place was as described. Heating was good and bed was very comfortable

This was a reunion and trip down memory lane for 3 sisters in their 60,s and so we knew the location and the area very well The apartment was gorgeous, very modern and clean , and the beds comfortable . Laura was there to greet us and had left milk tea coffee welsh cakes and biscuits so we were able to relax and enjoy a cuppa whilst we caught up with all the family gossip. Parking can be a problem , parking on the road is often impossible but there is a pay and display right next door. Porthcawl is a lovely seaside town with something for everyone and the apartment was perfect .

Laura was a helpful host and the flat is a very spacious modern two-bedroom home with 2.5 bathrooms. My family had a very comfortably and relaxed week-long stay there. It is perfectly located at the heart of the town centre and just one block away from the promenade and iconic Porthcawl Pavilion. It's very close to all the nice restaurants, cafes and shops, which was very convenient for all our shopping and meal options. There are free off street parking, but is mostly full. The flat is right next to a public car park so we had no problem parking, but you do need to pay for parking although it is not very expensive (£1 per hour or £6 per day).

An excellent place to stay, well equipped, comfortable, excellent value for money

This is a really lovely flat in a very convenient location. We stayed with our 3yo and our 18mo and had no problems at all. We'll definitely look to book again next time we're down!

Family had a great time in Porthcawl. Great location to visit the rest of South Wales and a beautiful property. We did not stay in this one in the end dues to other circumstances but were offered a brand new property instantly. As it was a newly renovated property it had a few niggles but Laura was nearby for any issues and was very helpful. Would definitely head back.

The house is perfect, lovely location and host was so helpful. Cannot fault it, highly recommended. We only stayed 2 nights and didn't have the best weather but it was still perfect and a much needed break.

This house was lovely, the rooms were spacious and spotless, the kitchen well provided with all you could want in the way of kitchenware and the appliances all worked well. Fresh flowers and chocolates not the dining table were a charming extra touch. Two bathrooms were a real bonus. My guests and I were very happy here and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Alexlouise and her parents were accessible and helpful, the situation convenient and there is a supermarket nearby. The only possible downsides would be some difficulty parking in the street at times and the fact that visitors with impaired mobility would probably find the stairs a challenge.

Great property and very welcoming hosts! Right on the beach front in a beautiful welsh seaside village. We used this as a base for a cycling event - there's a large outdoor patio, ideal for sorting the bike and sitting in the sun. The room had everything we needed with ample space for making breakfast etc. Shower and hot water worked well also. The local area was nice too - we went for good food in Nottage (few mins down the road) and a drink in the evening on the village green by the local pub. We would definitely recommend!

Jay and his wife were very welcoming and lovely hosts who left us to enjoy our weekend but were there had we needed anything. We stayed for 2 nights, arriving late on Friday night and leaving Sunday evening - Jay was very flexible about arrival/departure times which was great for us. The Garden Room is at the end of the drive of the main house, literally across the road from Newton beach (which was a beautiful beach and slightly quieter than others locally). It was also less than a 10 minute drive to Rest Bay for surfing, which is the main reason we were visiting Porthcawl. We ate at Ristorante Rava in Porthcawl itself and the food/service was great; it's a 5 min drive into town of an evening, carpark was free after 6pm, loads of choice of places to go and there was a nice Saturday night vibe at that time. The room itself was spotless, comfy firm mattress on the bed, milk and breakfast things were left for us, bigger than average shower in the shower room (again, spotless!), good sized towels for both of us, and it was quiet at night when we got back for much needed post surf sleep. Ample patio space outside for drying wetsuits and other beach things or just sitting outside in the sun with a cup of tea. We didn't spend too much time at the place as we had beautiful weather when we were there but if we hadn't there were loads of books to read and dvds to watch. Being able to park on Jay's drive was also a huge plus for me as I hate leaving my car too far away from where I'm staying and it's so much easier for loading/unloading. The Garden Room was just what my boyfriend and I needed for our weekend in Porthcawl and we're hoping to be back for more surfing in future. :)

As we used this as a stop off halfway through a long journey, it was brilliant being so close to the M4, yet feeling a million miles away with the sea at the front of the house. ( I suggest a quick jaunt to Rest bay too: so beautiful.) Jay was an excellent host, sorting out the TV when we couldn't work it, offering extra DVDs, suggestions for local pubs to eat in and even the offer of some watermelon for breakfast! Garden Room looked exactly like the listing, was spotlessly clean, and the shower was ace and the bed very comfy. Jay was very accommodating about arrival and departure time, so we didn't feel like we had to rush out the door in the morning. Even though we only stayed one night, Jay provided us with towels and breakfast stuff, as well as tea, milk sugar etc. A two thumbs up stay!

We had our first family holiday in Rachel's beautiful cottage, everything about it was perfect, very cosy and lux feeling. The food and wine were also very kind. Beds were so comfy (we managed to have lie ins with our newborn!) and the bathroom was lovely too. It's really well located a short 4 min walk to a sandy beach and the town. There's some lovely cafes & a fab vintage shop literally around the corner. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place - thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage - it is very cosy and homely and in a fabulous location. Beautiful coastal walks are on the doorstep, and many restaurants and bars nearby without being so near as to be a nuisance. We had a great welcome where everything was explained. We would visit again.
